[Highlight] The state i live in now, Selangor

The state i live in now, Selangor

Posted: 21 Aug 2009 10:18 AM PDT

a
More than a year ago in March 2008, the Barisan Nasional coalition - who has ruled the federal administration for more than 50 years - lost Selangor, the richest state in the country, to the hands of the opposition.

And that was when things started to get interesting.

The transition of power was not literally just a transition of power. The transition of power also meant that the former opposition now gets access to all pass records - monetary transactions or not - everything.

This became a big leverage for the opposition to topple the federal government, which has strongly been linked to corruption, cronysm, conspiracies, scandals and more scandals.

Things started to leak -

Starting with the misuse of state funds by former MB on family trips to Disneyland in Tokyo and such... supposedly worth millions of ringgit. http://bit.ly/gMZUS

Subsequently,

The Selangor Menteri Besar's office:
revealed that the Barisan Nasional state government made unauthorized investments for properties in Mecca, Saudi Arabia worth RM17.5 million in 2007.

Thereafter,

Azmin Ali:
The Director of PNSB only authorized the buying of 5 units of apartments but instead 12 units were bought and they were registered under a personal name. Seven of the units were then sold back to an identified person and there was no official receipt to legitimize the transaction.

If that already sounds bad to you, let me tell you that that was only the teaser campaign. The culmination of the series of 'leaks' was the revealing of Istana Khir Toyo, as termed by opposition supremo Lim Kit Siang, worth tens of millions of Ringgit.

Right in front of the eyes of all Selangor citizens. And all the Selangor citizens just closes an eye and live through the days of hell, working their socks off and putting porridge & salted fish on the table. Do you never wonder why?

I lived in Australia for a few years in Uni, and i saw hardworking blue collars in Australia drive expensive big bikes and eat whole pigs each in Chinese restaurants.

You ever wonder why your hard work pays you so little?

Anyway, I am derailing. Back to Istana Khir Toyo.

Courtesy of some aerial photographs that were posted online:

The revealing of the photographs was only phase 1 of the campaign. Quickly after phase 1, the opposition party at least prompted the interest of some rural folks to want to see the Istana Khir Toyo for themselves. When the interest was brushed up, they organized an "Educational visit" to the Istana. This was even endorsed by the opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim http://bit.ly/4lS9sl

And that was just too necessary because a majority of Malaysians, especially those who reside in the rural areas, are still too unexposed, ignorant, and easily deceived.

As a result:

Anyway, at this point of time, i was like ahhhh... WTF. You guys (PR & BN) go dig on each other and spill out and expose all the corruption and cronysm and scandals and what the fucks not so we will benefit from the check and balance, bring more nutritious food back to the dinner table and drive more reliable cars to work & client meetings so it doesnt break down when you kill the engine registering yourself at the guard house of a client place.

And if you were neutral party reading this, im sure you'd be wondering why the fuck isnt Mr Khir Toyo retaliating? Is he gonna be an Abdullah to the vicious Mahathir?

Well, from the looks of him, i really dont think so.

Im not saying that Khir Toyo, or what opposition blogs term as Khir Toyol, is involved in this but shortly after the series of leaks and the opposition campaigns to raise awareness, Teoh Beng Hock died. Again, im not saying Khir is involved but this is just a chronology of events.

When Teoh Beng Hock died, it hit all the front pages of all media in the country. On the inaugural day, there were 2 million assumptions made

Suicide

Homicide

Half suicide half homicide

Accidental homicide

Accidental suicide

Homicide from internal conflicts

Homicide to stir shit

And in the midst of 2 million assumptions, government linked personals - pathalogists to labies to ministries to whatever shit went straight into the conclusion that it was suicide.

And that, for common sense, raised alot of SHIT. Alot of pecularity and alot of suspisions.

And the SHIT hit the fan when this mysterious letter was exposed. And now i say FUCKING READ THIS -> http://bit.ly/QtH5R

And if that is still to be rock solid proven, this is a reality:

Note: Again im not saying that this is linked to Khir Toyo. It's just a publicly announced project to "take down" Selangor. http://bit.ly/mlhUp

"Misi Tawan Selangor: Projek Selamatkan Umat Islam by Bloggers Patriot"

Im still not sure of their objectives but it sure sounds to be like they are waging some kinda holy war. Like what Palestine is waging on Israel.
a
I mean come on you jack asses. Is the current admistration destroying your mosques? Are they hindering your Friday prayers? and your everyday prayers at the Suraus? Are they downplaying prophet Muhammad? Are they confusing the Islam faithfuls? Are they forcing alcohol into your throats? Are they throwing molokovs or stones at Muslims?
a
No you fucking idiots... NO. So what the hell do you mean by "Selamatkan Umat Islam"??
a
This is proof that this campaign has already kicked off, and FUCKING READ THIS TOO:
a
What malicious & baseless accusations... for Jake's sake.
a
And the funny thing is that it's called HOUSE PK, in opposition of R PK.
a
HAHAHAH, again... grow up you little dicks.
a
And the funniest thing is that the blog has very prominent links to ex pm Mahathir's blog, who they dont realize has contradicted so much of what they have claimed in all its past blog posts... man, be a bit more intelligent lah....
a
And when the ENTIRE WORLD is battling the economic meltdown, we the citizens of Selangor dwell in all these kinda BULLLLL shit.
a
a
Hey readers, you think we're fucked or what?

Amazing! Amazing! Unbelievable speed! Another great show from Usain Bolt. This one is gonna stay for years or perhaps forever unless they let a horse run the race.
He is erasing chunks of time from records that normally take years to break. He is beating the so-called competition by body lengths. Power, power all the way. No fight.

And the kind of respect that he is getting from other athletes
"He's a gift to this earth," said American sprinter Shawn Crawford, who finished fourth. "He's a blessing to the track game.

"Even if I run the best turn of my life, I'm still going to be behind," said Spearmon, who finished with the bronze. "

Former sprint star Michael Johnson, whose record of 19.32 stood for 12 years before Bolt broke it last year, believes the 19-second barrier might be next.
"Anytime Usain Bolt steps on the track, a world record is possible," Johnson said.

And you can see that this guy loves to run. The playful bow and arrow pose. The people of the world are captivated by Bolt. He is on his way to becoming a legend. No question about that.

Ramadhan is back.

Here's wishing all Muslims Selamat berpuasa. May Allah give us the strength to go through each day, for the next one month with ease. And to all my non-muslim friends, well, happy loading.

Time to have my first sahur of the month. No, wait. Make that supper as I've got roti canai still to stuff in later in the morning...I mean, before Imsak breaks, of course...Muahahahaha...

WEEKEND VIEW: What A Week!

Posted: 21 Aug 2009 09:00 AM PDT

THE past couple of weeks have been an incredibly busy one for me.

Last week was my follow up appointments with a couple of specialists at the Pantai Medical Centre Kuala Lumpur following my three-day admission there for an annoying infection.

I must say that I was most impressed with the bedside manner of my doctors who did a wonderful job of keeping me positive throughout my treatment.

However, the same unfortunately cannot be said about some of the other issues I encountered at the private hospital despite its 30-year history of caring for its patients.

There was no disabled-friendly car park at the entrance of the private medical centre.

The wheelchairs they offered were only the standard, old-fashioned types.

Modern wheelchairs nowadays come with armrest and footrests and other integral parts that can be dismantled for greater convenience.

Such features are vital for paralysed persons when it comes to shifting one's position from the wheelchair to a car, bed or toilet-seat.

I was also surprised to note that the attached bathroom in the private room that I was in was not properly designed for wheelchairs.

The water closet was not located at the right place, there were insufficient grab bars and the mirror was not at the right height for wheelchair users.

My biggest disappointment was to get the kitchen services to provide my gluten-free (wheat-free) diet.

Despite providing them with all the details of what I could NOT eat, I was constantly served with my "poison-list" during my hospitalisation.

I had to rely on food my friends brought me during their visits to the hospital in the end.

Had I eaten the hospital food, I would have non-stop diarrhoea which would not only have made it very unpleasant for me but I'm sure also for all the nurses and staff at the hospital too.

On a much more pleasant note, I was finally sworn in as a MBPJ Councillor last week.

First, at the office of MBPJ Mayor Datuk Roslan Sakiman last Wednesday. And then, the next day in front of Selangor Chief Minister Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.

The second incident took place at the Dewan Jubilee Perak in Shah Alam where the rest of all the Selangor councillors were also sworn in.

There were frankly a couple of issues with the Selangor building too.

There is a step leading to the wheelchair ramp which should be flattened. Whoever designed this was obviously not thinking right. It's most frustrating to ask people to help you up the step just to get to the wheelchair ramp.

Attention should also be given to the restroom to make it disabled-friendly.

Finally, I had a terrific time last Sunday at Universiti Putra Malaysia at their 13th dog-event called Dogathon.

I was thrilled to bits to be invited as the VVIP for the event by UPM's Students Society of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine called Veternak and Zoologico Club.

It is rare that people with disabilities are given such opportunities, which speaks a lot about how we as Malaysians are slowly starting to change our perceptions positively about people with handicaps.

I was invited as MBPJ's Chairperson for the Canine Advisory Team committee and as President of Petpositive, a national society for animal-assisted therapy for the disabled and elderly in Malaysia.

The UPM students were simply marvellous. They visited me twice in my home to sort out the preparations especially for the disabled guests before the actual day.

On Sunday morning several car parks were reserved for handicapped drivers in an area nearest to where all the action was taking place.

A portable handicapped toilet was also provided nearby. Thick cardboards were placed on certain uneven grounds to help for better wheelchair access.

Breakfast and lunch – including free coupons – was provided for the more than dozen handicapped guests who turned up. Each of them was also assigned a UPM student volunteer to take them around.

I was asked to give them all a quick briefing of how to handle wheelchairs before they set off.

The next thing I knew, all the handicapped guests disappeared into the crowd of more than 3000 people and almost 1000 dogs that day.

They had great fun visiting all the pet-oriented booths and shows.

The canines present practically took over from there. I saw many of the handicapped taking pictures with the many pedigree dogs much to the delight of their owners.

Some of the disabled guests were so excited that they even asked for the dogs to be placed on their laps for a picture. The canines in return offered a paw or a hearty woof in appreciation.

Thanks to those amazing special canine companions that day and the hard working UPM students, it was a great day for everyone to forget everything and have a terrific time.

Era Najib Altantuya : Polis Semakin Melampau

Posted: 21 Aug 2009 08:14 AM PDT

Ahli Parliman Padang Serai N. Gobalakrishnan berkata polis semakin melampaui batas apabila menggunakan kekerasan ke atas seorang Ahli Parlimen sewaktu penamaan calon Dun N11 Permatang Pasir.

Gobala dalam sidang medianya berakata, beliau bukan sahaja dipukul polis malah badan berkuasa berkenaan memotong talipinggang yang dipakainya untuk melondehkan seluar beliau.

"Polis menanggalkan seluar saya, bayangkan saya ahli parlimen dan polis menanggalkan seluar saya dan mengambil gambar. Ketika saya menjerit supaya mereka berhenti melakukannya tangan saya dipijak.

Gobala mempertikaikan kenyataan Menteri Dalam Negeri Hishamuddin Tun Hussein yang meminta Ketua Polis Negera mengambil tindakan terhadapnya kerana kononnya beliau bersalah sedang tiada sebarang siasatan dilakukan.

-TVA

Unbelievable? Believe it..

Posted: 21 Aug 2009 07:42 AM PDT

As RPK puts it... can you spot the difference? Hehe.

Nik Aziz's statement as reported by Buletin Utama TV3:

''Tiada sebab langsung orang Islam tolak Islam.

Nik Aziz's statement as reported by Bernama:

Whatever it is, I think humans shouldn't be playing God. It's best if we let the job of judging to the Almighty, shall we Datuk Nik Aziz? We know you're a nice, humble man... but even we don't know your place in the hereafter.

Another by-election is coming up in Penang. I turned on the TV just now and Muhyiddin was on TV, at the MERDEKA Celebration in Penang organized by the Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah negeri mana ntah. Read: PENDIDIKAN. Yes. Education. Such celebrations should be far from political. Especially when it involves teachers and young students. Educators. Students. But no. Muhyiddin just had to say "Be grateful to Kerajaan Barisan Nasional... blah blah blah". Hell, I'd be pissed off if any of the PR people say something like that in a non-political event too! Bagi ucapan tuh tengok tempat la brader~!

Calon BN written by Zaid Ibrahim is a must read. I mean, seriously. BN just can't find another 'fit' candidate to field at the place? Using the client's money is already a crime in the first place! That Rohaizat stealer-of-client-money guy was lucky that he was just kicked out and not jailed even!

Majlis Peguam pecat Rohaizat lama sabelum hari penamaan calon.

And what's this? Fairus' case re-opened just days before the by-election?
Sick sick sick.

Tan Beng Hock's case is still ongoing. Spiced up with a letter penned by the 'so-called' SPRM officers. My prediction, police will ignore the letter. MACC will surely ignore the letter!
'Surat Layang' - Rocky called it. Yet, he threw his "support" behind the T4TBH blog? Haha. Nak siasat, siasat je la btol2 both sources. If it's true the DAP guy is corrupted, then by all means, catch the guy lah. But still, it doesn't eliminate the fact that TBH's death is an inside job and clearly not suicidal!

Oh well.

Selamat Puasa anyway.

Now, second wife...But I guess no harm for a Muslim to have second wife, no?

So, yes. Nothing wrong to have a second wife. Nevertheless, PAS Youth chief said that the second wife was treated like a mistress, not given adequate subsistence and was being treated unfairly.

Well, well. Rohaizat is a former Bar Council right? He should know what to do. SUE lah!

The Situation

Part romantic thriller, part political drama, THE SITUATION is the first U.S. feature film to confront Americas occupation in the Middle East, exploring one of the countless stories hidden behind the occupation. Needs broadband. Quite an interesting movie. The length of this full length movie is 1 hour 46 minutes. It takes some time to download, using the Celcom 3G works quite fine. Hear conversations on democracy by force. You shouldn't help the Americans even if you are an Iraqi Christian. Saddam killed their parents. Why were they killed? They were communists.

This is a nice movie. Enjoy!

Tribute To Fr Anthony Wan

Posted: 21 Aug 2009 05:40 AM PDT

The Star

MIRI: Catholics in Sarawak lost a pioneering local leader when Reverend Father Anthony Wan died on Thursday night at the Miri Hospital's intensive care unit.

Father Wan, 60, was hospitalised three days earlier after he suffered breathing problems while he was in Batu Niah town, some 120km south of Miri city.

He passed away peacefully at about 8pm on Thursday night. He had just celebrated his 60th birthday about two months ago.

His passing is a great loss to the Catholics in the state, especially in northern Sarawak, as he was one of the most-dedicated local priests that the Catholic Church had produced, community members said.

The late Father Anthony Wan (with white hair third from either left or right) together with Miri Bishop Anthony Lee Koh Hin (second from left) and other senior priests during a healing mass last year.

There are more than 60,000 Catholics in the Miri Diocese in northern Sarawak. The Miri Diocese encompasses Lawas, Limbang, Miri, Baram, Niah, Bintulu, Belaga and part of the Bakun interior.

Father Wan had helped spread Christianity to the far reaches of the remote jungles of northern Sarawak, living in isolated settlements among the native ethnic groups, especially among the Orang Ulus like the Kayans, Kenyahs and even the Penans, the Catholic community said.

These natives lived in geographically-difficult areas that sometimes required days of walking and boat rides along dangerous rivers to reach.

He did this while suffering from bone problems, from his legs to his backbone, and diabetes.

Father Wan had always preferred to serve among the poor natives in rural Sarawak despite his physical sufferings and had been reluctant to be stationed in the cities and towns for long periods, his parishioners said.

He however, would willingly endure a tough journey and travel to the urban centres just to meet those who are sick and in need of him.

His last posting was in the remote settlement of Long San, seven hours by timber road from Miri.

Father Wan was also proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin and also the natives' ethnic languages.

Father Wan had served almost 40 years in the priesthood, together with Bishop Anthony Lee Kok Hin, Monsignor Francis Kulleh, Father Peter Mering and Father Philip Empalah.

During a grand 60th birthday celebration two months ago organised by parishioners for him, Monsignor Kulleh and Father Gabriel Cheong, Father Wan had spoken at length on the need for all people to forgive one another.

"Forgive readily from our hearts those who have hurt us," he had said.

During the dinner, he also spoke about how he will face death with confidence and inner peace.

Father Wan will be laid to rest at the Catholic cemetery here after a farewell mass at St Joseph's Cathedral in Miri on Monday.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I wasn't really know him personally, but I do respect him. He was one of my ex-parish priest. Anyway, may the Lord God have mercy on his soul.

RIP Reverend Father Anthony.

p/s: I'm glad to see the priests' picture up there. It makes me miss my home. Oh Bintulu...!

Era Najib Altantuya : UMNO Yang Gantung Rohaizat

Posted: 21 Aug 2009 04:41 AM PDT

"I vouch that Diciplinary Board is totally independent from Bar Council in its decision making prosess". He further said, 92 lawyers were struck off the rolls over the last five years for serious professional misconduct including embezzling the money of their client.

The 9th Methodist Convention - Spreading Scriptural Holiness, Transforming The Nation (Talk 2) - Part 9

Bishop Rev Dr. Hwa Yong emphasised that modern democratic society, with its concern for equality, human rights, freedom and justice did not emerge in any other culture, except the Christian culture of the west. "If Christians grasp this important fact, then we should want to defend these even much more than non-Christians around us," Bishop told the congregation.

"We want democracy. Christians should take the lead to defend the system. China is waking to democracy. Both Christians and non-Christians there strive hard for it," Bishop added.

Bishop Rev Dr. Hwa Yong then put a challenge to the church members: How committed are we to Malaysia?

Bishop noted that a lot of Sibu Christians have migrated to other countries. "Don't talk about transformation if you are not committed to Malaysia," he pointed out.

A group of animal rights activists, NGOs and Pakatan MPs today lodged a police report against Perhilitan over the issuance of permits to convicted wild life smuggler Anson Wong.

The report was lodged at around 10.30am at the Brickfields district police headquarters. Lawyer N Surendren made the report in his capacity as president of the Malaysian Animal Rights Society (Roar) and on behalf of Petpositive, Malaysian Animal Welfare Society (Maw), Teluk Intan MP M Manogaran and Kapar MP S Manikavasagam.

According to the Roar president, Wong - dubbed 'Pablo Escobar' of the illegal international wildlife trade - is allegedly still being issued permits and given assistance by Perhilitan despite his conviction and subsequent incarceration in Mexico and the United States for wildlife smuggling.

Wong was indicted in 2001 based on evidence from a 3 year joint 'sting' operation conducted by the governments of Mexico and United States in conjunction with Interpol for the illegal transport of endangered animal species to Mexico and the United States.

"I have seen the permits" Surendren said, adding that it is puzzling why someone convicted with wildlife smuggling would still be issued permits to transport, keep or hunt wildlife.

"He is stripping our forest of wildlife, naked...we might as well appoint a serial rapist for a teacher in a girl's school," he remarked.

More so, Surendren expressed the shared disappointment of his fellow animal rights activist with Perhilitan's failure to do its job in protecting our wildlife.

"We no longer have faith in Perhilitan to protect our wildlife. We believe this is because of corruption in the enforcement body," he added.

"Today it stops, we know who you are, we are coming for you," warns Surendren to wildlife smugglers and the allegedly corrupt Perhilitan officers alike.

Because of their lack of faith in Perhilitan, Surendren now puts his faith in the police to enforce the law of the land and protect the animals.

Last Friday, another report was filed by Surendren and another with the Malaysian Anti-Coruption Commission over the alleged corruption of Perhilitan officers.

On Monday, Deputy Director-General I Misliah Mohamad Basir denied the allegations in a statement to media stating that "As far as Malaysia is concerned, he abides by local laws and has the necessary licences. What he does outside the country is not our concern."

Famous for the wrong reason

Teluk Intan MP Manogaran who was also present, added that this is another case where "Malaysia is famous for the wrong reason." He lamented that not only are we known as the hub for the trafficking of drugs and people, we are also now apparently the hub for the illegal wildlife trade.

"We will be taking this matter up in parliament"said Kapar MP Manikasavagam, reiterating the seriousness of the issue. Manikasavagam was there in support of the animal rights activists, as well as, to lodge another police report pertaining to the 'mystery letter' which came up during the Teoh Beng Hock inquest.

Also present was Francis Siva from the Independent Living & Training Centre and Petpositive president Anthony Thanasayan (right). Both organisations advocates the use of animals and visits to wildlife for disability rehabilitation. They are here to show their support for the rights of the animals which according to them play a huge part in helping the disabled.

Kapar member of parliament S Manikavasagam today lodged a police report at the Brickfields police station over the mystery letter which appeared at the Teoh Beng Huat inquest on Wednesday.

He arrived at the police station at 11.15am accompanied by his political secretary M Shanmugam.

In his report, the Kapar MP named Selangor MACC deputy chief commissioner Hishamuddin Hashim and ex -MB Khir Toyo, the personalities allegedly involved in the letter.

"These are serious allegations and I want the police to investigate them," said Manikavasagam (centre in photo), explaining that the letter also appeared to be authentic and not just some poison pen letter, as was the case with the one he received regarding the Sujatha inquest.

He also added that unlike Gobind Singh Deo who has been ordered to keep mum over the details of the letter, he feels it is his duty to name the personalities involved.

On Wednesday, the proceedings of the Teoh Beng Hock inquest was stopped as the inquest had ordered the police to investigate the contents of the letter. It has been adjourned until next Monday.

Referring to the letter, he said "I believe that this letter is written by someone inside MACC because he seems to know details about what has happened."

Escaped attention at first

Manikavasagam said that he received a copy of the "mystery letter" which alleged collusion between a high ranking Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission officer in Selangor and a prominent Selangor politician last Friday 3.00pm, at his community service centre in Kapar.

Displaying a copy of the letter to reporters, he said that it was addressed to the MB of Selangor Khalid Ibrahim and was written on what appears to be official stationary belonging to the MACC chief commissioner.

Apart from Manikavasagam, a copy of the letter was also sent to de facto opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim, Seputeh MP Teresa Kok, Pas Selangor Liaison Secretariat, Suara Keadilan and Sinar Harian.

The parliamentarian also said that at first he did not read the letter as he would not usually read letters addressed to the Selangor MB.

However, when he received phone calls from from Malaysiakini, Malay Mail and The Star regarding the document, he decided to read it.

He said that after thoroughly reading its contents, he decided to take action. He also said that this is an individual action and he did not discuss it with anyone else.

He was told that the Klang police district headquarters will be investigating the matter as the letter was sent to his service centre in Kapar.

Era Najib Altantuya : 17 Pengkhianatan UMNO Kepada Melayu

Posted: 21 Aug 2009 04:21 AM PDT

1. Melemahkan institusi raja-raja Melayu yang menjadi simbol ketuanan Melayu.

2. Melemahkan sistem kehakiman negara.

3. Menarik balik royalti rakyat petroleum rakyat Terengganu yang majoriti orang Melayu.

4. Memperkenalkan PPSMI; menghapuskan bahasa Melayu.

5. Menarik peruntukan geran kepada Sekolah Agama Rakyat, tempat belajar agama anak-anak Melayu.

6. Memperkenalkan meritrokrasi; mengurangkan peluang belajar anak-anak Melayu.

16. Membubarkan Kementerian Pembangunan Usahawan yang menjadi sumber bantuan usahawan-usahawan Melayu.

17. Memperkenalkan liberalisasi ekonomi, maka sekaligus menghapuskan Dasar Ekonomi Baru yang tujuannya membantu ekonomi orang-orang Melayu Bumiputra. -pemudagombak

Posted: 21 Aug 2009 03:31 AM PDT

Jika didapati bersalah, dia bakal dihukum penjara seumur hidup.
