MIC insiders believe that Umno has hatched a conspiracy against their party and its president, one that has been in the making even before the last general election.

The conspiracy was to ensure that the MIC president was defeated in the polls and was proven when a local Indian businessmen aligned to a former top MIC leader admitted that he and a former Umno minister conspired to ensure the defeat, said the MIC insiders, without naming those involved.

Umno wanted
to seize control of the powerful Works Ministry. Thus, Samy had to be ousted.

Hmm...interesting 'conspiracy'.

Geert Wilders' warns America

Geert Wilders, The Netherlands's MP (a country with extremely liberal policies towards Muslims), the guy who made the infamous Fitna, which upset Muslims all over the world, warns Americans of the draconian effects of attempting to pacify Islamists, and reveals the 10-step plan of eliminating Islamic extremism from Western culture. Go here to watch the video of Geert Wilders in the US.

The people of Europe must ask themselves: Do I want my children and grandchildren to grow up in a culture much like the one I did or one like the Taliban have or the one that the Saudis or Iranians have?

Era Najib Altantuya : Pemuda PR Sedia Gempur Bagan Pinang

Posted: 27 Sep 2009 05:57 AM PDT

Pilihan Raya Kecil DUN Bagan Pinang semakin terasa bahangnya.

" Sebaik-baiknya pengundian dilakukan macam biasa.

Berapa banyak calon-calon UMNO hilang pekerjaan. Formula Manek Urai, terbarai. Dulu pengarah sekarang penganggur. Problem. Kawan saya di Permatang Pasir, tak apalah dia lawyer tapi susah juga nak jawab bini nombor dua. Kalau tak jadi calon tak apa. Sudah jadi calon keluar semua. Kalah pula tu".

-TVA

Era Najib Altantuya : Apabila Noh Omar Bela Hassan Ali

Posted: 27 Sep 2009 06:27 AM PDT

-Bernama

Ulasan GB

Tonton nanti 3 Abdul, undang-undang berat sebelah.

Raya Rounds - #3

Posted: 27 Sep 2009 05:39 AM PDT

Sunday, 27th September 2009 - By 9 am I made a move from home as I had promised to pick up Shila and her daughter at their home at 9.30 am. I made it to their house at 9.30 am on the dot! I had also earlier tried to call Jah to ask if she wanted to join us (she usually never says no to invitations to jalan-jalan anywhere). But my calls didn't get through and my SMS was not replied. Since her house was just on the way, Shila and I decided to simply terjah her house.

Oh well, she wasn't home. She had been at her in-law's house since Raya. Too bad then, the kaki jalan was not able to join us for our trip to the shelter home.

I purposely invited Shila to come along. There were times when she would whine about her life... how unlucky she was etc etc. I wanted her to see for herself the group of people who were left by their family members at a shelter home and the shelter home ended up as their permanent home because their family members never came back for them. I wanted Shila to remember to be thankful for the family support that she has.

We reached the home at about 10.40 am...

Anita was cleaning up the tables at their yet-to-be-completed dining hall. She held her one year old baby while working. Wiping the table and having a good morning towel around her neck, Anita looked like she was running a mamak restaurant. According to Kak Ana, Anita is quite hardworking when it comes to doing all the household chores. She doesn't have to be told what to do. Very unlike Sharifah who stayed there earlier - Sharifah was quite lazy if compared to Anita. She even wakes up late. Their problems may have been the same (out of wedlock pregnancy & childbirth) but both came with totally different upbringing - Sharifah the manja type while Anita was brought up without much family love and care.

I took Anita's son from her arms. The boy seemed quite comfortable sitting on my lap. He is so used to being held in his mother's arms, as long as you hold him, he's quiet. By right he should already be able to walk, but because Anita had been rather overprotective of him, the boy has yet to walk. Kak Ana has told Anita to let the boy roam free so he'd learn to walk sooner rather than just berkepit celah ketiak mak...

After a while, Kak Ana called out another girl to take the boy to his room so he could take a nap. He looked rather sleepy.

Then out came Kak Ana's daughter with none other than... yep, my little Cek Mek!!

Cute little Cek Mek with not cute at all Cek Pi. Notice the peha berlipat and pipi labuh? (Cek Mek's lah, not Cek Pi's!)

Frankly, I think Cek Mek must be one the easiest baby to take care of. Other than making sure the girl is given her medication on time, she is so, so tak banyak ragam and not cranky at all! Yep, still with her muka sadin, but when I asked her to "senyumlah sikit", she did smile! Woo hoo! Apa lagi, cairlah Opah Pi... hehehe... And when Kak Ana was telling me about her, the little girl actually did some goo goo ga ga stuff, like saying, "Hey, why are you all talking about me?!"

After a while, Anita came over to invite us to the dining hall where she had prepared some drinks and raya cookies. Well, most of the Raya cookies were donated by visitors but Kak Ana did make some with Anita and one or two others helping out. I brought some cookies as well, but the bulk of the things in the box I brought down from my car were actually for my babies... milk powder, baby food, baby biscuits etc. Nak bagi cucu makanlah katakan...

Anyway, the home, which provides shelter for about 50 occupants, mainly the mentally handicapped, still needs lots of funds to complete the necessary renovations and to cover for their monthly expenses. This year they have been getting less donations as compared to last year, and so far nobody has invited them for any raya functions whatsoever, unlike when they were earlier housed in Sabak Bernam (the landlord wanted back the land so Kak Ana had to find a new place).

This is the yet-to-be-completed dining hall...

Here it is from a different angle...

But it is still being used anyway as they don't have enough space inside the house.

Inside, they are repainting the walls...

Those who would like to help out, you can call the home at 05-6237530 and speak to Puan Rohana Saidin. Or you can bank in your contributions to their account:

Tomorrow? Oh, no house visits tomorrow. I need to continue with my puasa enam. But I will probably continue with my raya rounds when I really really raya next weekend, insyaAllah!

MBPJ Dog Forum - Another History Making Event in Petaling Jaya

Posted: 27 Sep 2009 04:28 AM PDT

FRIENDS, it is only two weeks more before another history-making event is achieved in Petaling Jaya.

The latest is a first-ever dog forum by the Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya. It will be organised at the PJ Library in Old Town.

For the very first time dog lovers and those with particularly no-interest for canines or pets will be attending a four-hour forum on dogs to discover if they are truly man's best friend or their worst enemy.

The brainchild of MBPJ Councillor Anthony SB Thanasayan, the forum is expected to bring together Petaling Jaya residents from both sides of the views in a meaningful awareness raising showcase that will feature a dialogue sessions where residents can voice out their views.

"Dog-lovers and non pet lovers have often been at loggerheads with one another on the same issue of responsible pet ownership but have never had a chance - until now - to come together and learn from each other's grievances that has often inadvertently pulled local councils into the fray," said Thanasayan who is Head of the Canine Advisory Team or CAT; the only special committee to look into dog welfare in the State of Selangor.

"We certainly hope that by the end of the half-day event, participants will come away with a more enlightened point of view on the thorny issue of pets which has dogged councils for years," added Thanasayan.

The Forum to be launched by YB Ronnie Liu and the MBPJ Mayor will feature Dr Chandra Muzaffar as the keynote speaker on "A Just World for Animals." Other presentations will come from SPCA Selangor, Petpositive, the Department of Veterinary Science and MBPJ's Dog Unit.

Registrations starts at 7.30am. The event proper will begin at 8.30am until 2pm. A light breakfast, tea and lunch will be provided.

The Dog Forum is open to all residents of Petaling Jaya. The Petaling Jaya Library Hall in Old Town, PJ, has a capacity crowd of 300 people.

Please go to www.facebook.com/anthonythanasayan and click under Events to initially register yourselves for the Forum.

See you there!

Uncertainty over candidate spells trouble for Umno - najib altantuya nizar nizar nizar nizar

Posted: 27 Sep 2009 04:52 AM PDT

PKR's election machinery chief Saifuddin Nasution observes that Umno's dilemma in selecting a suitable candidate for the by-election is good news for Pakatan Rakyat.
PKR's election machinery chief Saifuddin Nasution said if Isa said:
"If they (Umno) do not choose Isa, the party machinery may face a boycott in the Teluk Kemang Umno machinery. This will result in a possible loss. "If they choose Isa, then it would show that Umno does not have any credible candidates to lead the challenge, not a single credible person from the ranks of the present leadership in Teluk Kemang Umno, even in its Puteri, Umno Youth or putera divisions."

Nevertheless, Lim Guan Eng is of the opinion that Umno will win with Isa. He said:
"You can win the battle but lose the war. You can win Bagan Pinang but can lose the whole Malaysia. They also cannot lose in Bagan Pinang because they will also lose the whole Malaysia.

Rais: No reason to stop Beyonce’s show

Posted: 27 Sep 2009 03:53 AM PDT

KUALA KLAWANG: There is no reason to stop popular American singer, Beyonce from holding her show in this country if she adheres to the conditions and regulations stipulated, said Information Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim.

He said protests against popular Western entertainers coming to perform in Malaysia were nothing new.

"If she deliberately bares her body and violates the conditions imposed by the authorities, then she would be prevented from performing," he told reporters after hosting an Aidilfitri open house attended by about 5,000 people of all strata of society, here Sunday.

He said those opposing her show should be patient and see whether it adhered to the conditions imposed. It would certainly be wrong if the show offended the religion.

He said this when asked to comment on the trip here by Beyonce on Oct 25 for a performance although many groups had opposed the show on grounds that it would affect the morals of youths in the country.

Meanwhile, commenting on the open house, Rais said a bigger celebration would be held between his ministry and the Perak state government on Oct 18.

"Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is expected to deliver an important speech at the function which would also become a symbol for 1Malaysia," he said. - Bernama

Era Najib Altantuya : UMNO Jangan Cuba Ekspoitasi Undi Pos

Posted: 27 Sep 2009 03:04 AM PDT

-TVA

REMEMBERING DATUK ABDUL RAHIM ABU BAKAR

Posted: 27 Sep 2009 12:35 AM PDT

Former Menteri Besar Pahang Datuk Abdul Rahim Abu Bakar was laid to rest on Friday 25th 2009 at the Taman Kosas Muslim Cemetery after having succumbed to a heart attack on the evening of Thursday. He was 66 years old.

I read several remarks made by UMNO politicians regarding Datuk Abdul Rahim who all claimed that his demise is a great loss to politics, particularly UMNO. Some even commended Datuk Rahim for his his high values, but failed to explain clearly what it meant.

I want to remember Datuk Abdul Rahim as someone who is generous, humble and approachable, despite his high standing in society. My first and only encounter with him was when he was the Menteri Besar of Pahang in 1978. I was a student of the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College, and the college was on a study tour to the state of Pahang.

Listed on the day's itinerary, was to be a dinner hosted by the Pahang state government, and it was Datuk Abdul Rahim who was the main host.and who was then just 35 years old; an age that I shared with him. I thought to myself how fortunate was this young man who at the age of 35 is now the Chief Executive of the state.

As I progressed in my career, I was posted to Temerloh, Pahang on two different occasions and in two different capacities (1982 and 1994 respectively). Of course, by this time Datuk Abdul Rahim was no longer the Menteri Besar, for he only lasted three years i.e. from 1978 to 1981 or thereabout.

One wonders why did Datuk Abdul Rahim lasted only three years? This was where the truth was not revealed, and was kept under wrasp for fear that the reasons behind the brief tenure of Datuk Abdul Rahim as the Menteri Besar may be related to the affairs of the Pahang palace. I do not wish to speculate, but during my two tours in Pahang, I was exposed to several versions of the stories relating to the brief tenure of Datuk Abdul Rahim as the Menteri Besar of Pahang. Many felt that Datuk Abdul Rahim was a victim for not wanting to succumb to the demands of the palace.

I believe in the defence of the truth, and shielding away the truth will only create many more lies and false perceptions. The scandals, corruption and abuses that permeates our society today is the result of people who no longer see truth as virtuous, but would rather be a persistent liar in order to shield the truth from being known by others. The PKFZ mother of all scandals is one sterling example to quote.

I wish to express my heartfelt condolence to the family members of Datuk Abdul Rahim and pray that his soul now rests among those that Allah swt has chosen.

Al Fatihah

Era Najib Altantuya : Nik Aziz Gesa Ibrahim Ali Letak Jawatan

Posted: 26 Sep 2009 09:38 PM PDT

Era Najib Altantuya : Kalau Saya Isa, Saya Tarik Diri - Mahathir

Posted: 26 Sep 2009 09:32 PM PDT

"Kita bukan semata-mata nak menang, jika menang pun calon tak bersih buat apa," katanya.

-SH
