Snorkeling during Phi Phi Islands tour

Posted: 07 Sep 2009 09:58 AM PDT

Trying to upload photos of recent happenings to Flickr but the upload speed has been moving like a turtle, it's so slow. Will update my life as soon as possible, in the mean time, do follow me on Twitter and Tumblr.

IMG_4905 by you.

Few months back while I was in Phuket, I went on a one day Phi Phi Islands tour. One of the the tour activity is snorkeling and for a long, I've wanted to jump into the clear blue sea for a swim, if possible, a glance into what's in it or dive in and here I was, snorkeling in the transparent turquoise sea.

My cute daddy.

The speedboat that we were on stopped at somewhere that no one knows, a shallow area like about 15-20 feets. I put on the floating safety vest, the goggle, the breathing tube and the swimming paddle that I rent at the quay, I jumped in with others.

IMG_4908 by you.

This was my first time and I was kinda excited for it but I got no idea how to. The first taste of sea waster was choking, it's salty and bitter. I tried to get myself comfortable and not choking with the sea water so much. Then I put my head into the water to see beyond, the breathing thing was really working because I don't really know the skill for it, the water just keep getting in. Haha

Swimming with the paddle is not easy. After some frustration with all the gear, I just took off everything, the vest and the paddle. Only then I felt it's easier to swim around.

Unfortunately, I don't have an underwater camera or casing for my camera, else I would be showing you what's underwater. Though, don't expect so much, what's pretty was the fishes, there's no coral sadly, it's all red dead coral rocks, probably destroyed by the tsunami 5 years ago.

Well, we stayed in the water for like half an hour then we moved on to lunch.

'They were not interested in dialogue' - najib altantuya teoh beng hock nizar nizar nizar

PKR is disappointed with those Section 23 residents who turned 'unruly' at last Saturday's dialogue.

Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, in a statement today, said that some residents were not interested to talk in the first place and they "just wanted to act wildly" towards some of the panelists including Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad and state exco Rodziah Ismail. She also quoted from a verse from the Quran that said Islam taught all human beings to respect others regardless their religion and race, so that they could learn about one another.

Sadly, this one incident has marred the image of peace-loving Muslims as a whole. As the saying goes, "One bad apple spoils the whole lot."

Cow Head Carrier, who?

Posted: 07 Sep 2009 08:48 AM PDT

One of them is the same ass who sat beside another bigger Ass, Kerismuddin. Watch or go through the video clip and the clip in Haris Ibrahim's blog. The rest of this post are extracts form Haris Ibrahim's People's Parliament.

I lifted the image from both the clips, sah, both are the very same ass, what is the plural for asses? Had them placed side by side. Haris Ibrahim manages to identify this bigotted ass. A resident who requested anonymity claimed that the person who was holding the cow's head throughout the protest was Azmir Md Zain, an Umno patron for Section 23. "Besides him, I can recognise that the other four as also Umno members, including the organiser Mahyuddin Manaf," said the resident. Mahyuddin also appears in the first video that MCMC wants taken down. The images below are of Mahyuddin. He wore the yellow shirt when prancing around with the cow's head, try's and looks respectable wearing a suit and tie with his beady and shifty eyes, beside his protector Kerismuddin.

From the second minute on, you will see Mahyuddin standing in front of a banner bearing the slogan 'Take Beeer! Take Beeer! Take Beeer!". Haris say's, "It's what he says on the video from the second minute on, though, that was, for me, a giveaway".

"Ini bukan orang-orang UMNO…orang PKR, orang PAS, orang UMNO…".

Just seems to me that if he was trying to shield his party from any suggestion that his party might be behind it, he would have mentioned his party first, that is, PAS, as he now claims, rather than UMNO.Seemed more like the statement was to refute any suggestion that this was UMNO – led.

This year there will be open houses for Hari Raya. Just boycott the open houses of all BN Ministers, that includes our beloved PM. If the Malays and non-Malays don't turn up, then it is obvious they are still pretty upset. If lesser Malays turn up, it is even more obvious that even right-thinking Malays are also pretty upset the PM's leadership. The Indians should virtually be absent, out of sight, disappear, vanish, be invisible for the PM's 1Malaysia, Raya open house. The Indians should send a strong message of displeasure to the PM and his goons from UMNO. MIC, please remain irrelevant on this issue. After all it is a 1Malay-sia. Imagine a Raya Open House with plenty of food but no takers!!! Great idea this, is it not? For the complete take on this go to People's Parliament

AM Catholic. I have relatives who embraced other creeds. So what? Are we not all human being? With basic rights and what not? We are in a journey, here in this earthly life. That is a fact. And it is also a fact that we can actually live and be happy despite our different faiths. We can. Malaysia Boleh. Then, why the cow head and the what ever what ever....? May be we should just stand up and be counted

Monday, 07 September 2009 19:07

MCCBCHST (Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism & Taoism) notes with deep concern that the cowhead incident in Shah Alam is not an isolated case. Another recent example of this kind of insensitivity was when the Holy Eucharist was desecrated when certain persons went to a church, took the consecrated bread and spewed it out.

Such irreverent and sacrilegious conduct should not be condoned and allowed to be repeated with impunity. In seating the organisers of the recent demonstration in Shah Alam to his right and left during his press conference, the home affairs minister seemed to have bestowed honour to the perpetrators of a gravely offensive and dangerous event whereby seditious speeches accompanied by the stepping on the severed head of the cow were made. What signals would this send to the people?

Not surprisingly, therefore, the same disrespectful, unruly and unwilling to listen behaviour on the part of some rendered the town hall meeting between the Menteri Besar and Section 23 residents to discuss the issue on September 5 2009 unmanageable and unproductive.
The same rules must apply to all.

MCCBCHST is concerned that wheareas in the August 28 2009 Shah Alam incident the police had stood by while the demonstrators desecrated the cow head and made seditious speeches, the police acted strongly against would-be candlelight vigilers in the vicinity of Dataran Merdeka on September 5 2009. Also, Malaysiakini has now been warned by MCMC (Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission) not to make the video showing the terrible acts in the Shah Alam incident available for viewing to their readers. Thinking Malaysians will rightly raise the question: Which comes first- the act or the video which exposes the act? How do we as a country go about resolving our problems? In this case, stopping the video of the act will not unmake the act. We must surely first prevent the act and the video would not have existed.

For the sake and good of all Malaysians and peace and order in Malaysia, consistent, fair, just and rational measures should be applied regardless of religion, ethnicity, culture, gender or political connection.

There must be one rule for all Malaysians.

All who incite ill feelings amongst religious communities, denigrate any religion, desecrate the religious symbols of any religion or threaten to commit violence against others must be promptly deterred and held accountable. They must face charges and given a fair trial in a court of law.

Sacrilegious acts committed by adherents of any one religion upon another religion must never be condoned. We hold to the principle that all human beings and communities have a sacred right of freedom of choice as far as their religious belief and practice is concerned.
We stand with Malaysians of all religious and political persuasions who were outraged by the flagrant disregard for the sensitivities of others shown by the Shah Alam demonstrators.

We welcome the partnership of all Malaysians of goodwill. Together we can weather the mischief and bigotry of those who seek to drive a wedge between us and divide rather than unite the people of this land.

We Malaysians live in a pluralistic society and accordingly we must respect our neighbours and endeavour to learn about their beliefs, customs and sentiments. It is upon such understanding of others and what is dear to them that our nation can be firmly rooted and grow strong and united.

The way to manage our differences is not by creating enclaves whereby Malaysians will be segregated and separated from one another but through understanding and respect. Let us live together next to one another rather than to live apart. Each succeeding generation of Malaysians should grow closer rather than to be pulled apart.

The site chosen in Section 23 of Shah Alam for the Hindu temple to be relocated to complies with local government conditions. It is over 300 meters away from any housing area, six times more than the 50-meter requirement. If the authorities accept the objection to it by certain quarters, the social dynamics of Malaysian life will be affected and the consequence on national integration will be very serious indeed.

We must not subscribe to the view of thinking about Malaysians as majorities and minorities, and majorities versus minorities.

MCCBCHST therefore calls upon all Malaysians of goodwill to be in earnest prayer for the peaceful and just resolution of the issue. Those in authority at the community, religious and governmental level must be firm to unequivocally reject unreasonable, unfair and anti-social behaviour and demand.

Lady Di of the Orient

The modern Arab rulers' wives give to their countries of former glory - especially Asma al-Assad of Syria.

French compliments are still the best. The gossip magazine Paris Match They fawned as the "Queen Diana of the Orient" for its chic fashion magazine Elle outshines even the Präsidentengattinnen Michele Obama and Carla Bruni. Wherever the Syrian First Lady appears, it spreads its glamor and style, wishing it does not fit on the eccentric and gray image of their country. Asma al-Assad, has long been married for nine years with a leader Bashar al-Assad, Syria's most prominent bearer of sympathy. While the lanky president with the steel-blue eyes often looks stiff and awkward, beguiles his wife on domestic and international stage, with its open and uncomplicated nature. The three children she herself goes to kindergarten and school. She likes to invite visitors to the cafe in the old town experience - with no bodyguards and a sensation. Even in the Christian convention of the Salesian Sisters of Damascus, it is often seen.

Asma al-Assad is among the growing circle of modern Arab first ladies who know they are trained - good and confident - on the international stage to move at home and claim their place in public. Queen Rania of Jordan's image as a sponsor for the economy and art. Queen Salma of Morocco, which shows her hair like open, has established himself as a champion of women's rights and equality of a name. Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al-Missned, the charming favorite wife of the Emir of Qatar, occurs in the West in pants suits and now has the entire university education in their country put on a new footing. Asma al-Assad, however, mainly takes care to the population in the country. Eight years ago she founded the first NGO that reaches the people of the village, including a micro-credit among the poor.

A better image in the world can certainly make good use of Syria politically. Under U.S. President George W. Bush, the country counted on the axis of evil. The protective hand of Hamas and Hezbollah, President Assad has upset not only the West, but also many Arab potentates. Two years ago, Israeli warplanes bombed a suspected concrete building in the Syrian desert. Since then, the Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna to examine whether Damascus - as his close ally, Tehran - also wants to build a secret nuclear program. And recently complained after a massive bomb exploded in Baghdad, Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, most terrorists on Iraqi ground a leaked to remain on Syria.

Their Syrian relatives knew Asma al-Assad in the first 25 years of her life only for holiday visits in the city of Homs. Born in 1975 in London as the daughter of a diplomat and a heart surgeon, she led the life of an assimilated immigrant child from a good family. At the elite girls' school, Queen's College, where young Muslim woman attending the morning of the Anglican school prayer, slept with the teenage girl's first name Emma. "She wanted to be recognized without regard Arabic as a modern girl," recalls one of her teachers. At 16 she returned to the name of Asma, the subsequent studies at King's College, she graduated with top grades, made diplomas in computer science and French literature.

For six months she traveled through Europe and the Far East before being hired as an investment banker at Deutsche Bank in London. Later she worked at JP Morgan in Paris and on Wall Street in New York. Your admission to Harvard Business School, had the then 25-year-old straight into the pocket, and then came Bashar's ascent to the presidency between them.

As the couple has met and whether it was a love marriage, since the details vary. The French newspaper Le MondeWants to know "that they have already met in 1992 at a cocktail reception. Asma herself said in an interview that she and her ten years older man had fallen a year before the wedding, so in late 1999. Others claim that the connection was only after Bashar took office in July 2000 have been arranged in the traditional manner by both families.

Anyway, after its move from London to Damascus Asma initially disappeared entirely from the scene once. For three months she was out with jeans and a backpack in Syria, incognito, to find out what their countrymen, and where they think the problem lies. "For me it was a logical step - the best way to become acquainted with my country," says the trained computer expert today.

Since then, she sees itself as a messenger of the people, telling her husband that what she learns at their outdoor meetings. But no matter how popular their unconventional nature of the people is so suspicious of the old guard still supervises the radius of the young first lady. Once the secret even installed a spy program on their computer to any e-mails to be read along. Still one remembers their rage against the cold, if this is mentioned: "It is true that this has happened in the end. I let myself by not provoke something," she exclaims.

For their adopted country she wants peace above all. "I was lucky when I was growing up in England," she says. "I got to experience what is called peace - that's the biggest difference on the Middle East." When she arrived in Syria in 2000, it had become aware that very much. "In England, I never have to deal with war and political instability," she says. But only those who live in safe condition, "is truly free to make plans to have dreams, ambitions, and to develop a look full of energy in the future."

Brazilian farmer slays 16-foot anaconda

Posted: 07 Sep 2009 08:15 AM PDT

RIO DE JANEIRO, May 21 (RIA Novosti) - A farmer in Brazil's northwestern state of Amazonas killed a 5-meter (16-foot) anaconda he discovered in his chicken pen, national media reported on Thursday.

Marcu Santus said he discovered the anaconda preparing to swallow the chickens, and feared that the snake could pose a threat to small children in the area.

"The snake remained still for quite a while and I was able run and get my rifle and kill it. When snakes like this can't find food, they become dangerous," Santus said.

Due to severe flooding in northern Brazil over the past two months, cases of wild animals entering villagers' homes have become frequent. Although killing an anaconda is illegal under Brazilian law, in some cases it can be justified if the snake poses a risk to a person's life or property.

The anaconda is one of the largest snakes in the world, and the largest in South America, reaching up to 11 meters in length, and weighing some 150 kilograms (330 pounds). Several cases have been documented of anacondas eating people living near tropical forests in Brazil.

Indian surgeons carry out life saving op on protruding heart boy

Posted: 07 Sep 2009 08:19 AM PDT

NEW DELHI, September 3 - Indian surgeons have successfully carried out a life saving operation for the first time on a 10-day-old baby boy, diagnosed with a fatal heart defect, a hospital spokesman said on Thursday.

The newborn Indian boy was suffering with a rare defect, ectopia cordis, a condition where the heart beats outside the chest. During the four-hour operation, surgeons created a space for the baby's heart, Yogendra Gupta said.

"As there was no place for the baby's heart in his chest, we had to create it," he said.

Doctors at New Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences are closely monitoring the newborn's progress and will make a decision on whether further surgery is required.

"It would be great if the baby lived for 10 days at least. It would be a record," Gupta said, adding "the success of the surgery demonstrates the high professional level of Indian doctors".

Ectopia cordis is an extremely rare congenital defect that affects approximately 8 in every million births where babies are born with a misplaced heart. However, 90% of babies die before they are born or within three days.

The only person who survived with the condition is Christopher Wall, 34, from the U.S. He holds the Guinness World Record for the oldest living person with such a defect. Wall underwent 15 operations before his heart was successfully placed into his chest.

UMNO Dalang sebenar isu Kuil Shah Alam

Posted: 07 Sep 2009 04:51 AM PDT

Ahli Parlimen Shah Alam Khalid Samad menyanggah dakwaan Naib Presiden UMNO, Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Tun Hussien bahawa Pakatan Rakyat gagal menjalankan tugas berikutan isu insiden membabitkan pemindahan kuil di Seksyen 23 Shah Alam.

If words isnt enough for him to speak his mind, he's now just shot the new generation format of TV episodes called, Webisodes. Short clips in nature to cater for this new generation of selective hearing & short attention spanned people and fucking teases you to wanna hack into his computer to watch the subsequent webisode. With that said, broadcasted only on the internet.

RPK went on the lam in April when he failed to turn up for his sedition trial. There is also a second warrant of arrest issued against him for failing to turn up for his criminal defamation trial. Despite being a fugitive, RPK continues to speak his mind and remains a thorn in the side of the administration of Najib.

Era Najib Altantuya : Mustafa Menang Saman Ke Atas Kerajaan & Polis

Posted: 07 Sep 2009 06:53 AM PDT

Era Najib Altantuya : Kenapa Kerajaan Takut Tubuh Suruhanjaya Siasat PKFZ?

Posted: 07 Sep 2009 06:36 AM PDT

I called for another meet to run through the programme of Jing Cai Zhi Ye with the two MCs, namely Lay Preacher Pauline Lau and Ting Leng Kieh. The two masters of ceremony took the opportunity to rehearse to ensure smooth running of the gathering.

It was another great moment of working together and sharing. Praise Lord for that.

Come and join us if you have not decided yet.

Jing Cai Zhi Ye is scheduled to be held on Sept. 12 at 7:00 p.m. at The Masland Methodist Church, Sibu.

Penan vs Rajang Regatta

Posted: 07 Sep 2009 06:00 AM PDT

After a lapse of 18 years, the once famous regatta on the Rajang River is to make a comeback, albeit in a grand manner.

According to state minister of environment and public health Datuk Sri Wong Soon Koh, the three-day event would begin on March 12, next year.

He said the Rajang Regatta 2010 would be organised by the Rajang Port Authority (RPA) to make the town the centre for water-based sports in the state whose river is the longest in the country.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha. This is really funny. Ha ha ha ha. When a Sarawak's minister (who is this minister) said that they didn't have enough money to help the Penans who are in hunger, and gave many lame and stupid excuses where the truth is they just refused to help the Penans., but they have ENOUGH money to organize this Rajang Regatta. Ha ha ha.

Wow! I'm impressed! Which is important? Humanity or glamorous? I'm not against this event, because I love regatta too. But, shouldn't we concentrate more on those who are important, i.e, our OWN PEOPLE? What a joke!

Should I say...what the fuck?!

I wonder how much money spend on this event? Is it hard to donate some money to Penan people? Help them to deliver the foods after the government destroyed their forest? WTF! This really pissed me off! Errrrrrrrgghhh....! Instead, the church is the one helping them, where is our government?

Is this a revenge? Because of the blockade? Give me back my dad's tax money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!

p/s: What the fuck with our government today?
