CONMAN, LCCT, KLIA, BEWARE

Posted: 29 Sep 2009 09:30 AM PDT

It was a Saturday morning at a quarter to 6. Was checking in for a 7AM flight back to Miri. It's not the first time i've booked such an early flight so pls remind me of my stupidity. It was actually prompted by some savings... bout 200 bucks for 2 people but its so not worth it. so not.

To be checking in at a 5:45AM, and living in Bandar Utama, you kinda need to leave your place at 4:45AM and get the cab at your place at half pass 4AM. To be safe, so unless it doesnt come, you have the option to call for another cab.

The night before, i had to clear my work before my 4 day weekend and i didnt finish till half pass 1 in the morning. 3 hr sleep or no sleep? ... i chose no sleep but slept for 1 and a half hours. And that totally fucked me up.

The bazaar feeling LCCT and the long queue didnt help either. I was worse than dead. Was fucking cursing at everything that was a lil different from normal to me. Like ugly tattoos & pretty boys with japanese gigolo looking hair.

Finally, it was my turn to check in. And pls remind me, i could have checked in using one of the electronic booths coz i had no luggage but i forgot to record my reservation number...wtf what a fucked up mind does to you.

Anyway, back to the check in counter, passed the IC to an attendant at the check-in counter. BTW, he was a guy.. thin.. DVD seller looking, japanese gigolo died yellow looking hair - like a porcupine that's just got back from a royal rumble.

He took my IC, punched some alphabets on the keyboard and looks at me and goes "Your credit card payment fail" ... at that mood, i was thinking "failed, not fail, you fucking illeterate". But i was like "what? not possible... i have a reservation number" - just that i didnt bring it - but i dint say it.

This chinese attendant then looks at me with that expression like he's thinking "Dont fuck with me, im the one looking at the screen" and he went, aggitated, "Credit card payment FAIL".

And because he flinched, i was like what the fuck, all the way through a dead state, i just wanna fly home... so i went "so can i pay here?".... i was actually telling him i cant coz i never remember a checking counter accepting monetary transactions... its normally at a different counter.

He went yes and i went like "how?".. he went "credit card or cash".. professionally.

Very suspicious but surprised at the same time, with the pressure of the queue and the impatience and to be safe, i gave him my credit card. Nevertheless, STUPID.

BUT... i was smart enough to monitor and realized that he doesnt have a credit card terminal. I got fucking aggitated at that point. I raised my voice and i was like "DUDE, do you even have a credit card terminal here? So what the hell are you doing?!?!"

He held to the credit card, punched my credit card number into the keyboard like really fast... and said "Online payment" and gave it back to me and said "payment approved". SHIT... that really got me thinking on board the plane. for 10 minutes la before i KO'ed. In that 10 minutes, what went through my mind was like a mental masturbation.

1. A checking counter doesnt do monetary transactions

2. You cannot make a transaction online without keying in the 3 numbers at the back of your card. He didn't turn it around.

3. My credit card has a verification process at the gateway before you can pay. It will ask you personal questions that im pretty damn confident he cannot answer. no fucking way... questions like your mum's name.. how the hell will he know?

4. I got a reservation number. My credit card was charged (i dint remember this at that point of time). So how the fucking way my "credit card payment fail"... FAILED you idiot - pass tense.

When i woke up, everything came into place.

He is a CONMAN.

He wanted some cash.

He saw that i was in bad shape... no sleep

I payed for the tickets a couple of mths back so i could've forgotten bout it

He tried to see if i was stupid enough to pay cash. For if i did... i could have lost that money. Although i can lodge a complaint, it will just fuck me up again... you know, customer service shit.

If i wasn't looking, he could have take down all my credit card details.

All he had to do was to say that my credit card payment failed. EASY... fucking easy. He tried me, that mother fucker, i didnt have full brain capacity but im still too smart for you, prick.

BEWARE FOLKS!!!

End of Phi Phi Islands One Day Trip

Posted: 29 Sep 2009 08:11 AM PDT

So here comes and end for my Phi Phi Islands one day trip a few months back when I was travelling to Phuket, Thailand. The trip was fun, interesting, hot, sunny and beautiful. It's my first time going on a tour to island paradise, clean beaches and crystal clear water.

At around 4.30pm on that day, we went back to the pier from Khai Island and the one day tour had completed. Remember, don't pay for your trip instantly when you arrives in Phuket, there's plenty bargains in town, you maybe con at the tour center, the road side stall which manage the tour does the same thing with cheaper price, so no worry about that.

The ride back to the pier was shorter, took us like 30 minutes and I was pretty tired at that time. The speedboat ride was still bumpy, can't take a nap in this kind of ride and I was just dreaming all the way. The tour guide assistant, the Thai girl was so kind, she made a few little roses out of straw for some of the tourist on board, she gave one to mom too. Cute!

It was high tide and we didn't get back at where we got the speedboat in the morning. It's the other side of the pier and it needs some walk from there back to the place in the morning. Luckily, there's a electronic vehicle which fetched us to that place.

Back there, they have photos printed and framed lying on the table, it's the photo that the tour people took of us in the morning before getting on the ship. It's a way of making money, but for 300baht and memories, we bought our photo home. Then the van dropped us back to our hotel. =)

Its Going To Be A Busy October.

Posted: 29 Sep 2009 08:56 AM PDT

Next week..PMR for Banun.

Somewhere on the 3rd week, J and her siblings will be shifting out of their apartment to a house with more rooms. At the moment, Hakim has been sportingly sleeping outside the living room while the sisters snooze in the two rooms.

Hakim has to take his driving classes in KL as his new job will start on the 1st October. His future bride A..a and him will also have to go for the 'kursus kawin' soon.

They have chosen to get engaged on the 26th of this coming December. We are all so very overjoyed especially Dato'.
For the engagement ceremony, only members of the family and a few extremely close friends will be invited.

But for the wedding ceremony, which will tentatively be during the March school holidays next year, Dato' is planning to invite the PM, MB Pahang and their Datin Seris among the long guest list. InsyaAllah.

A's side must never worry so much about the protocol. In Pekan and Kuantan, our VVIPs have always been very simple and down to earth people..they just come and sit down with all the other guests. The only difference is that they get to sit with the bride and groom at the main table. Very easy going VVIPs.

Its just that we have to notify them quickly especially our Dato' Seri Najib. Being a PM now, his schedule is so tight and full to the brim. As for Dato' Nan, 3 months of notification may suffice..he can be super busy too! And sometimes it may coincide with a very highpowered function!

Our future daughter-in-law is a very soft-spoken, extremely sweet-smiling face pharmacist with a Masters Degree from Liverpool. She stays in Shah Alam..in the famous Section 19! hehe
Boy...Section 19 and Section 23 of Shah Alam are 'tourist areas' since the cowhead episode.

As for my art exhibition, I have a lot of 'homework' to do. TV3 personnel have been so kind and cooperative..THANK YOU!! They are really helping out. Lucky for the Pahang artists.

Again, for those interested to view the exhibition, please email me. Unless your names are on the guestlist, you'll not be allowed to enter the TV3 premises.

As long as you notify me before coming, whereby I shall pass your names and those whom you're bringing, entrance to the very high security TV station will be barred.

I have to give the guestlist to TV3 soon. Please email me at hudaartdealer@yahoo.com.
Of course once the exhibition has started, I will email you back. I will also blog about the proposed exhibition and update everyone from time to time.

The soft launch will be attended by YB Dato' M..she was the one who slogged so very hard to set up The Pahang Art Gallery. That is why I have to reconfirm the date again.

If I'm in luck, we might even get our PM's wife to officiate the opening. I don't know. Though I was initially afraid that the protocol might be too much for me to handle, I will give a try and find out whether she can come.I will try..'shivers'!

Meanwhile, I have to collect and gather all the artworks that will be on display for sale. I have to get the sponsors quickly for the exhibition.
I have to submit the program proposal to TV3 and get whatever necessary to be completed quickly.

I am so very excited. I normally just hold a 'bidan terjun' art exhibition at the hotels in Kuantan.
But this one is my first very properly planned project. If all goes well, this will be a dream come true for me and the many Pahang artists! InsyaAllah.

KUGAN REVISITED

Posted: 29 Sep 2009 07:15 AM PDT

After an 8 months wait, the Kugan's case is back in the news. It was announced that a cop (supposedly referring to just one cop) will be charged 'for voluntarily causing hurt to extort a confession; a charge which carries a maximum jail sentence of seven years and a fine'. The question that many have asked is why just one cop, and the cop is believed to be an Indian cop. Where are the rest of the cops (not corpse), and don't tell me that it is this one single cop who had hammered Kugan lifeless.

I am not a lawyer nor a doctor, but for a person to die in the manner that Kugan did, would require many hours of persistent and deliberate abuse, torture and beating; not by one cop but by more than one cop. I do not know how the law defines 'voluntarily causing hurt', but to my understanding Kugan's death wasn't caused by voluntarily causing hurt, but with deliberate intent to cause death, and that in very simple term means murder. I need to be corrected in this regards.

Too many death have occurred while police custody in the past, and the cause of death is usually claimed to be 'self inflicted'. And I am yet to see one cop sentenced to death for murdering a detained person. Who the hell would want to believe a cocked up story, and of all persons, even the honourable judges would believe these cocked-up stories.

Where are the inquest that the IGP have promised if a detained person dies while in police custody? I am not wrong if I say that there are now many uniformed government employees who are murderers lurking the streets. And if they have blood in their hands, there is nothing to stop them from murdering another one.

These are some of the reasons that the people are angry about. Here we have the PM howling 'Rakyat di dahulukan' but in reality, it is the government servants themselves that are not contributing their share in realising the slogan uttered by the PM.

Undoubtedly, the Kugan's death and the poor handling of the Hindraf issue by the authorities have made the Indian community angry, and just watch how they will vote during the Bagan Pinang by-elections.

And if you ask me if I am angry, my direct answer to you is that I am indeed angry, and this has nothing to do with whether one is a Malay, Chinese or Indian. It has all to do with the indiscriminate abuse, torture and murder by the authorities.

Bagan Pinang: Umno picks 'local hero' Isa
BREAKING NEWS updated 10.50pm Umno is fielding its former vice-president Isa Samad for the forthcoming Bagan Pinang by-election in Negeri Sembilan.

Muhyiddin said Isa was selected based on a detailed survey at the grassroots level among the Malays, Chinese and Indians in the state constituency. Moreover, according to Muhyiddin, he did not make his own decision as the residents said Isa! Isa! Isa! before he announced Mohd Isa as the BN candidate for the by-election.

In other words, Muhyiddin had no choice. Isa was the people's choice! ;o So, will Isa win. I think so since he is popular with the local. After all, one must be popular in one's community, Najib said. Don't care what Dr M said about Isa. Just ignore the former's objection against the latter's nomination.

Era Najib Altantuya : BN Tiada Calon Wibawa, Letak Isa Samad Di Bagan Pinang

Posted: 29 Sep 2009 05:36 AM PDT

Era Najib Altantuya : Penubuhan Makkal Sakhti Celarukan Lagi BN

Posted: 29 Sep 2009 05:16 AM PDT

-TVA

THIS is self explanatory. And am very delighted because such view, which is typical of non-Malays, actually came from the blood of our founding fathers. There is hope...

LIKE GRANNY LIKE ...

I think the main reason why we still can't achieve total unity is because of this 'Malay rights' concept. I'd rather 'Malay rights' be replaced by human rights. So unless we get rid of this Bumiputra status, or reform our views and policies on rights, we will never achieve unity.

For my merdeka wish, I'd like for Malaysians to have more voice, to be respected and heard. I wish that the government would uphold the true essence of parliamentary democracy. I wish for the people to no longer fear and discriminate against each other, to see that we are one and the same.

I wish that Malaysia would truly live up to the tourism spin of Malaysia truly Asia. Malaysians to lead – whatever their ethnic background. Only ONE NATIONALITY -MALAYSIAN. No Malays, No Chinese, No Indians – ONLY MALAYSIANS. Choose whatever religion one is comfortable with.

LET THE BATTLE OF BAGAN PINANG BEGIN

Posted: 29 Sep 2009 04:43 AM PDT

The battle is on for the Bagan Pinang by-election. Isa Samad is the best BN candidate (so they say) to stave off the opposition attack. Will it be a direct BN-PR challenge or will we see a third spoiler in the race?

Well this time around, elder statesman Tun Dr. Mahathir's cautionary remarks about choosing a clean candidate wasn't heeded at all. I am just wondering what will be Tun Dr. Mahathir's reaction to the BN's choice of Isa Samad. I am quite sure Tun. Dr. Mahathir isn't pleased at all. And is this UMNO's way of saying bluntly "Tun, your days are over and please let us run the party our way. You had yours for 22 years".

I quickly called up some friends for their views and comments. Their views and comments were mixed. But there was one that I liked most. He says that the UMNO leadership does not have any choice. It is Isa Samad or nothing, and that nothing struck fear in the UMNO leadership. UMNO leaders will be threatened and the election will be boycotted by UMNO Negeri Sembilan itself.

I was also told that there were already some posters threatening a boycott if Isa Samad is not named as the candidate, supposedly by UMNO supporters. If threat is the way to choose a candidate, then there is nothing to stop the same method being used to elect UMNO's top echelon leaders in future party elections. Isn't this scary, and if the scourge of money politics isn't enough, this new method of applying threat and boycott will be the final nail in UMNO's coffin.

I am concern at how the political parties will act to entice the soldiers to vote for their party, knowing that the 5000 odd postal votes is critical. I would like to appeal to politicians to cease going into military camps now on the pretext making an official visit, but in actual fact it is to campaign. There is already a report that some senior ministers are making their rounds in military camps.

Let me tell this to politicians that our soldiers today are not like those recruited in the 50's and 60's. Soldiers today can think rationally and they can distinguish between a lie and truth. Making lots of promises at this critical stage of the by-election is futile and means nothing to them. Keep soldiers out of your political fray, if you want them to remain apolitical.

BN CANDIDATE

Posted: 29 Sep 2009 03:28 AM PDT

ISA Samad. Muhammad Muhammad Taib. Chua Soi Lek. Kasitah Gadam. Japlin Akim. Joseph Pairin Kitingan. A few more. Similar but not the same. Politics at its best. Politics being the art of the impossible. Eventually, the people's power is what counts. You get what you vote. While some may say, the majority do not necessarily mean its right, vice versa. And as they are so fond of saying: I leave my fate with the people. It is up to the rakyat. Really?

ISA IS BN's CANDIDATE FOR BAGAN PINANG

PORT DICKSON, Sept 29 – Umno's central leadership bowed to pressure from the Negeri Sembilan party grassroots and picked Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad as the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Bagan Pinang by-election.

The by-election is expected to end Pakatan Rakyat's (PR) winning streak in all by-elections in the peninsula since the last general election.

The announcement was made at the BN main operation centre near here and was attended by some 10,000 party loyalists.

BN election director Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin described Isa, who was the Negri Sembilan mentri besar for 22 years until 2004, as a grassroots leader who has worked hard for the party.

"This by-election is about the people, people first," said Muhyiddin citing the 1 Malaysia campaign slogan to loud cheers from the crowd.

"Whoever the people want, we will grant the people their wish," he added.

In his acceptance speech, Isa said he felt rejuvenated by the announcement.

"God willing, with the support of Negri Sembilan mentri besar and other component party leaders, we will retain the seat," said Isa as he struggled to hold back his tears.

Isa's selection today marks his second attempt at making a comeback after failing to defend the Umno vice-president post during the party election last April.

His candidacy was also opposed by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who had advised the Umno leadership to consider the long-term consequences of fielding Isa as he was found guilty of money politics by the Umno disciplinary board in 2005.

Earlier this month, the Teluk Kemang Umno division had insisted on proposing only the name of its chief – Isa – to the supreme council to be considered as the candidate, but Muhyiddin requested that the division submit more than one name.

Yesterday, Muhyiddin told reporters that the division had indeed submitted more than one name, resulting in a minor revolt in the Teluk Kemang division when banners threatening to boycott the by-election was put up across the state constituency this morning.

The Bagan Pinang by-election was made necessary following the death of BN's Azman Mohammad Noor on Sept 4.

It is situated within the Teluk Kemang parliamentary constituency represented by PKR's Datuk Kamarul Baharin Abbas.

Apart from Bagan Pinang, Umno also won the neighbouring Linggi state seat in last year's election, while PR controls three other state seats in Teluk Kemang — Chuah (PKR), Lukut (DAP) and Port Dickson (PKR).

In March last year, Azman defeated Ramli Ismail of PAS, by some 2,000 votes.

BN is currently ruling the state with a simple majority after winning only 21 out of the 36 state constituencies. Malysian Insider

Back To Gardening

Posted: 29 Sep 2009 01:43 AM PDT

Do you still remember the last time Pak Zawi did some gardening in this area? The area was turning into a productive vegetable plot when together with another neighbor we cleared the area of shrubs and grasses and tilled the soil to plant various vegetables. We had to stop the gardening because the landowner came with a team of surveyors as he wanted to build his house then.
Now it has been several months and no sight of any building activity and the area is covered with shrubs and mimosa which we fear may harbour dangerous snakes and other pests such as rats.
The need to exercise is another reason why Pak Zawi wants to go back to gardening. It doesn't matter if I don't get to harvest anything, the strenuous work of clearing the place of the luxurious growth of mimosa plants and other weeds will be good exercise for Pak Zawi. A blogger friend who lives on the Island of Pulau Kapas has been given me great advice on diets and all the rigeurs on how to keep fit. Exercise is the most important he said. I must sweat it out beside taking healthy food, food supplements and whatnot. he said I will paint better if I am in the best of health as a healthy mind is only found in a healthy body. thank you Tokuban of The Captain's Longhouse or the Pirate of The South China Sea as he sometimes called himself.
The best way to sweat it out is by gardening. So here I am, doing it again on a piece of idle land in front of my house. If time permits I may get to harvest the fruit of my labour, otherwise I will just enjoy sweating it out and at the same time keep the area free of unwanted weeds.

Hard at work using the brush cutter.

Tried an an experiment to see whether machines can work on there own. The conclusion: Machines need humans to get it working. Only that machines help to make the work done faster with less effort.

how the area looked after a short workout.

How the area looks after another evening of clearing away the grasses and shrubs and use of the changkul to clean weed the grasses.
Today Pak Zawi bought some vegetable seeds comprising of kangkong, bayam, sawi, choy sam, ladies fingers and sweet corns. The idea is to start planting on a small patch at a time without waiting for the whole area to be cleared up. This way I hope to be able to harvest early those vegetables that will be planted earlier.
So about 4 weeks from now I will be harvesting some early crop of kangkong or bayam. It doesn't matter if they are not matured enough, they younger they are, the better.
A few days ago, my former teacher by the name of Chegu Rahman Ali came over to Kelantan to join a dinner hosted by the former students of Upper Six and Lower Six Arts of my Alma Mater. Cikgu Rahman on his return home to Damansara KL, came to Pasir Mas to embark on the train back to KL. The train was the only mean of transport left as every other mean was full. Due to that Pak Zawi and a few friends managed to send him off. At the station Pak Zawi presented Cikgu Rahman with a painting Pulau Pohon Batu Labuan. It was a small gift for someone who had given Pak Zawi so much. For those who attended schools in SIS Pasir Mas, SIC in Kota bharu and MCKK in Kuala Kangsar Perak and knows Cikgu Rahman Ali, see his photo at Pak Zawi's Paintings. Mat Salo of Borneo Blues: A Mat salo's Perspective is one of those who knows him.

Era Najib Altantuya : Inkues Panas Dengan SMS Minta Saksi Jumpa Pakar Psikatri

Posted: 29 Sep 2009 01:37 AM PDT

" This is actually for Bagan Pinang election somewhere around in the corner. They want to show their transperancy. They want to charge now.

Ramai percaya dia didera sehingga mati berdasarkan kesan ditubuhnya. -TVA

PKFZ : AMK Bidas Sikap Polis

Posted: 29 Sep 2009 01:25 AM PDT
