Who do men say that I am? Who do you say that I am?

Matthew 16:13-20 (King James Version)

13When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

14And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

15He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

20Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

Jesus, the Son of man.

Jesus, the Prophet.

Jesus, the Priest.

Jesus, the King.

Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the living God.

najib altantuya: Improper for CM to call one a thief, retorts Teng - nizar nizar nizar

Posted: 23 Sep 2009 08:32 AM PDT

The High Chaparral fiasco continues as an upset Penang Gerakan chief Teng Hock Nan hit back at Lim Guan Eng that it was improper and uncultured of the Chief Minister to call one a thief.

"It's against the Malaysian culture for a person of his position to call the previous government as land thief or robber.

"It's improper and unwarranted for a chief executive of the state government to resort to name calling," said Teng, who was a senior executive councillor in the previous Barisan Nasional state government.
(Source: Mkini - Support Mkini - Subscribe to Mkini!)
I really didn't know who this Teng was until he spoke out on the Buah Pala issue. While it may be 'uncultured' for one to resort to name calling, is it ethical to accuse or blame someone without any proof? According to Lim, Teng has not provided proof but merely telling 'shocking lies'.

najib altantuya:'Thief shouting thief' over Buah Pala

Posted: 23 Sep 2009 07:13 AM PDT

Penang CM Lim Guan Eng lashes out at Gerakan's Teng Hock Nan and accuses him and BN of 'selling out' the villagers.

Lim said the declassification of exco minutes on July 7, 2009 showed that the land was alienated by BN at a ridiculously low land premium of RM10 per square feet (when the market rate then was at least RM50 psf) with unanimous support from all MCA, Gerakan, Umno and MIC state exco members including Teng. Lim added that Teng never repented and apologised and he was now blaming the Pakatan state government of robbing the villagers of their land, a classic case of 'the thief shouting thief'.

Documents don't lie. So far, Teng and BN have not provided proof
that the Pakatan Rakyat government finalised the village land deal and sold Kampung Buah Pala to Koperasi Pegawai Pegawai Kanan Kerajaan Pulau Pinang (Koperasi).

Era Najib Altantuya : SELCAT, Isu Kebebasan Bersuara, Wala' Dan Thiqah

Posted: 23 Sep 2009 06:06 AM PDT

Seseorang pemimpin, perlu menjaga siqah terlebih dahulu.

Inilah yang dimaksudkan dengan maksud hadis, daripada Abi Hurairah r.a berkata, sesungguhnya Nabi SAW bersabda;

Justeru itu, dilihat pada satu hadis yang diriwayatkan oleh Imam Ahmad, daripada Ali bin Abi talib bercerita;

Ketika mereka berjumpa dengan Rasulullah SAW, dan bertanyakan hal itu, menyebabkan baginda SAW terus berkata;

Hasan Ali is a spokesman for khir Toyo and a thorn in Selangor, say Pakatan Rakyat reps

Trouble is brewing in Selangor Pakatan Rakyat with its members turning on PAS, specifically Datuk Dr Hasan Ali, who has become increasingly isolated over the last few days over his many outbursts.

Speaker Teng Chang Khim, who is from DAP, has singled out the Selangor PAS commissioner and exco member as the "only problem" in the partnership that was forged after the March 8 general election.

"There is no communication breakdown among coalition members. Hasan Ali is the only problem in the coalition and he has been consistently inconsistent on various issues," he said, adding that as exco member, Dr Hasan could have brought up his dissatisfaction through the right channels.

Dr Hasan's most recent outburst was the calling for a revamp of the Select Committee for Competency, Accountability and Transparency (Selcat), which had come under fire from him for their "grilling" of senior civil servants over allocations.

He had argued that members of Selcat — which is currently staffed by legislative assembly members from both Pakatan and Barisan Nasional — should be made up of eminent persons without political inclinations.

Prior to this, Dr Hasan had also quarrelled with DAP exco member Ronnie Liu over the sale of beer in the state and had wanted to impose a blanket ban on alcohol sale in retail outlets in Muslim majority areas.

Teng, who heads Selcat, said the executive council had weekly meetings.

"There is no reason why he should attack Selcat in the open. He's trying to take advantage of the situation to gain politically," he alleged.

DAP Klang MP Charles Santiago was more blunt, calling for Dr Hasan to be disciplined by his party leaders and removed as both state commissioner and exco member.

"We will be stronger and better in Selangor without him. PAS should remove him to protect our best interests.

"He is wrongfully giving the impression that things are not well. There always appears to be two voices to everything with him around," he added.

"He wants to send a message that he is the one who will protect the Malays in Selangor," claimed Santiago.

Even Dr Hasan's party colleague Saari Sungib, who is a Selcat member, has distanced himself, saying that the former should be referred to the House Privileges Committee for making public outbursts.

PKR exco member Yaakob Sapari denied any cracks, saying the group practised freedom of speech and encouraged people to speak up.

"We are allowed to say anything we want and air our views. There's no problem among us," he said, pointing out that Dr Hasan's voicing of opinion should not be misconstrued as trouble.

PAS exco member Iskandar Abdul Samad said it was natural for Pakatan members, who were from three different political parties with different ideologies and philosophies, to have opposing views at times.

"That doesn't mean there's a rift between us, because at the end of the day, we can all sit down together, discuss the matter amicably and arrive at a single decision," he said, adding that any final decision rested with the state's executive council.

Dr Hasan was not available for comment at press time.

Jobless rates rose in 27 US states last month, with several reaching record levels of unemployment, offering a bleak reminder that the economic recovery could be slow and painful for the stricken labour force. In spite of bold stimulus measures intended to stem the flow of job losses, payrolls declined in 42 states, with Texas, Michigan, Georgia and Ohio suffering the
biggest declines, labour department figures showed on Friday. Unemployment rates reached record levels in Nevada, Rhode Island and California, where they hit 13.8%, 12.8% and 12.2%, respectively. Michigan, which has been savaged by the collapse of the car sector, continues to have the highest unemployment rate in the US at 15.2%. The unemployment rate in the US reached a 26-year high of 9.7% in August and sustained high levels of jobless claims are stretching state finances. Next week Congress is expected to decide whether to extend expiring jobless benefits to people in states with unemployment rates higher than 8.5%. (Financial Times)

U.S. leading economic index increased 0.6% in August for the fifth straight month, capping the longest stretch of gains since 2004 and signalling a recovery is under way. The Conference's gauge of the economic outlook for the next three to six months rose 0.6% in August, in line with forecasts, after a 0.9% increase in July that was larger than previously estimated, according to data that the New York-based group released today. The gains in stock prices, consumer confidence and homebuilding that are buoying the leading index bolster Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke's view that the worst recession since the Great Depression has probably ended. (Bloomberg)

The Federal Reserve has started talks with bond dealers about withdrawing the unprecedented amount of cash injected into the financial system the last two years, according to people with knowledge of the discussions. Central bank officials are discussing plans to use so-called reverse repurchase agreements to drain some of the US$1trn they pumped into the economy, said the people, who declined to be identified because the talks are private. That's where the Fed sells securities to its 18 primary dealers for a specific period, temporarily decreasing the amount of money available in the banking system. The central bank's challenge is to decrease the cash without stunting the economy's recovery and before it sparks inflation. (Bloomberg)

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke's efforts to stoke a U.S. economic recovery may be undermined by the central bank's other goal of restoring the banking system to health. The Federal Open Market Committee, at the conclusion today of a two-day meeting, will probably maintain its assessment that "tight" bank credit is impeding growth, said economists including former Fed Governor Lyle Gramley. Lending contracted for five straight weeks through Sept. 9, a drop that in part reflects Fed orders to banks to raise more capital and toughen lending standards. A failure to restore the flow of bank credit carries the risk that the economic recovery will be slower than the Fed anticipates, or even that the U.S. lapses into another recession, economists say. That would make it more likely the Fed will keep its main interest rate close to zero for a longer period. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg News unanimously forecast the Fed will leave its benchmark interest rate
unchanged. (Bloomberg)

Era Najib Altantuya : Kesan Calar Aidilfitri 1430

Posted: 23 Sep 2009 05:26 AM PDT

Jangan jadi hukum sebat Kartika.

Dulu kongsi raya. Ada pemimpin beria-ria kata bagus. Pembodek pun kata bagus. Pada tak betul. Yang tak betul ialah amalannya. Tapi kerana kejahilan, perkara itu jadi acara Aid Islam.

Kini program hiburan menjadi program hari raya.

Kartun Nabi Muhamad, menghina Islam. Soal penjualan arak di katakan tak jaga maruah Islam. Sebut Tuhan samseng melenting kata kurang ajar. Rasul melayu ditangkap.

8. Bagi mereka petua memeriahkan hari raya umat Islam ialah hidangan I `m Not Singgle.

-Azizi Abdullah

Ulasan GB

Apakah penamatan khidmat Jeneral Tan Sri Aziz Zainal dibuat tanpa terlebih dahulu mendapat perkenan Yang DiPertuan Agong ?

Seorang Panglima Angkatan Tentera hanya diberi masa 3 hari untuk menyerah tugas. Seorang Panglima Angkatan Tentera telah ditamatkan perkhidmatan sedangkan rumah persaraan belum disiapkan lagi.

Inikah balasan kerajaan terhadap Panglima Angkatan Tentera ? Jika seorang Panglima diperlakukan demikian apatah lagi anggota bawahan.

Saya diberitahu bahawa Jen.

Why Women Cheat

Posted: 23 Sep 2009 01:35 AM PDT

*Names below are changed to protect their identities and this article is taken from Cosmopolitan, UK edition.

Sandy* 22, from UK agrees to the title above.

"I think cheating is wrong, so when I began sleeping with someone behind my boyfriend David's back, it made me realise how unhappy I'd become". David was her first real love but she says that, over time, they grew apart. "I got bored. He wanted to stay in all the time; I wanted to go out and do things. He didn't have a proper job so never had much money. I just couldn't see us having a future together. But he was my first love, I cared about him and I couldn't bring myself to end it."

Sandy met Aaron during the brief split from David last year and they had a fling. A few months on, she and David got back together, but she bumped into Aaron again and the pair started sleeping together while David was on a holiday. "Aaron was older, more mature, had a great job and wanted us to go out and do things together." For Sandy, he was everything David wasn't.

But Sandy couldn't sustain her double life. One night David caught her trying to delete an incriminating text from Aaron and soon after, they separated. "I felt so guilty. I couldn't carry on seeing two guys. But being with Aaron showed me I could be happy with someone else. In a way, it spurred me to end an unhappy relationship." She and Aaron went on to see each other after that.

Sandy says she wouldn't be able to forgive someone who cheated on her. "I'd be devastated and would end it there and then. It'd be so hurtful to think he'd needed to go elsewhere. It would really mess me up."

She had never intended to be unfaithful, and she vows that she will never do it again. "I did it because I genuinely liked the other person. Yes, there was lust there, but it wasn't just about sex. I just wanted someone to do things together with me. I think men are more likely to sleep with someone they've only just met in a club, although I also know plenty of men who wouldn't dream of cheating."

According to Brandy*, an infidelity expert, Sandy''s experience is typical. Women's primary reasons for straying a desire for intimacy, to feel close to someone or to recapture some feeling of romance. Sex comes to it, but it's generally much lower down their list. Boredom can play a part too. "Most women cheat as a last resort, because they're not getting what they want from their partners," says Brandy.

Brandy says most of the reasons women give for cheating are things that could be easily remedied by a partner who's willing to make the effort.

I somehow agree to disagree. Sounds confusing, am I?

The question is, WHY WOMEN CHEAT? Wait, does it apply here in Malaysia? This article is taken from UK. I don't know. May be it does relate to some of you.

As the magazine says, female infidelity is on the rise. Sandy's case is rather common for these days. You may despise them, you may envy them, you may wish you had it in you, you  may be even one of them. Whatever your view may be, women are more and more likely to be unfaithful. Even the infidelity expert, Brandy mentioned that women's reasons for having affairs are generally more complex.

How complex can this be?

Let's open up this blog for debates between men and women. :)

Walk to Beach Street from Prangin Mall

Posted: 23 Sep 2009 01:04 AM PDT

I was too free yesterday, got nothing to do and didn't want to stick my lazy butt on my chair at home, the weather was pretty good in the morning which made me want to go out there and take a walk, anywhere, but not at home. So I called my friend Chern to go downtown with me. If I keep staying at home, my ass will just keep growing bigger by sitting in front of the computer all the time.

I took the bus to town but it's pretty crowded and I had to stand. The weather that was good turned bad a little bit, rain started to fall as I reached KOMTAR.

I didn't pass the bus interchange terminal but instead took the skybridge that connects Prangin Mall with KOMTAR to prevent myself from getting wet. I went to walk around at Prangin Mall for a while while waiting for Chern to come meet me up then we go to Jing Si's Books and Cafe for some tea.

He came and we wanted to take the free Central Area Transit bus to Beach Street but the Rapid people told us that the next bus would be in 20 minutes, we didn't want to wait for it so we took a walk. The rain had stopped at that time.

It maybe a long walk but it's fun and exercising. My route was Prangin Mall, Rope Walk, passed Campbell Street and Kimberly Street then to Chulia Street turned into Love Lane into Pitt Street, then through Little India and we reached Beach Street.

If I got the money, I will buy a trishaw in the future. Haha.

I just love walking around in town, I can see a lot of old heritage buildings and one thing I have to say is that there's still a lot of bad looking building and shophouses, the government or someone should make some restoration work on them.

Chinese fortune teller.

Going through Little India.

This at least made my Tuesday better, and funner, else I would be just sleeping or sitting at home. The whole walking this took us like 20 minutes, it's not so far afterall. Thank god that it's not very sunny at that time.

Book, tea and music, that's nice. It's a Chinese novel by Gidden, I like his books. =)

Era Najib Altantuya : UMNO BN Terdesak Mahu Guna Pelajar

Posted: 23 Sep 2009 12:57 AM PDT

Kerajaan Atur Strategi Jadikan Pelajar Pemimpin Pelapis

Turut hadir Timbalan Menteri Kewangan Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin, Pengarah Jabatan Pembangunan Persekutuan (JPP) Kelantan, Datuk Mohd Shukri Salleh dan Naib Cancelor Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Prof Datuk Zainal Mohamed.

-Bernama

Totally no mood.

The noticeboard dropped from the wall at 4am. I couldn't sleep after that. I am a light sleeper, but I can really sleep for a long time as well.

I lost the pendant that Nic gave me. The "handle" was loose, why didn't I pay more attention to the loose pendant? And I have no idea why I dropped it at. !@&%$@^%#$?

I have not touch any POA exercises except the first. Next week there will be an assignment. The room was a freezer.

My N76 keeps hang for 3-5secs everytime I want to read a SMS or reply an SMS. It also hangs everytime I switch the camera on.

3 of my fingernails broke/chipped within a month.

I am having this terrible neckache and headache.

Feeling damn PMS-ed right now.
