Greetings From Hong Kong

Posted: 11 Oct 2009 08:10 AM PDT

Arrived here this morning. Weather been favorable, cloudy & windy but a little bit too dry to my preference. Caught a flu and bleeding from the nose, it gonna take a bit for me to adjust to the weather here.

Got my prepaid SIM and my HKG number, I already updated my Facebook profile, you guys can get my number there.

No intense update today as my flu kills off my mood to blog, gotta take a good rest as I am heading Wan Chai Exhibition tomorrow to catch up with some Malaysian friends.

Adios for now! Hope to get well and enjoy my days in HKG ;)

Era Najib Altantuya : PAS Tak Pernah Kalah

Posted: 11 Oct 2009 09:57 AM PDT

Tapi kita perlu yakin Allah swt sentiasa bersama kita.

"Sekilas Itu Realiti, Realiti Itu Kehidupan"

-pejuangkite

I Hope You Die A Painful Death And Rot In Hell!

Posted: 11 Oct 2009 07:10 AM PDT

I read about countless people who've been victims of snatch thefts, some of whom don't even survive the ordeal. Most of the time, well all the time, these snatch thieves get away scott free because of our 'superb' not to mention 'efficient' capabilities of the Police whom I think have their agenda all mixed up!

But yesterday, my own mom was the victim of a snatch theft incident that left her falling and hitting her head on the gravel of the road, going unconscious and had to be rushed to the hospital to be treated for a head wound trauma. And the bastard got away scot-free with the main Police station being just 500-600 metres away. These guys are getting bolder by the day!

I wasn't there when it happened. My mom was out with my aunt and cousins for dinner in USJ 9, opposite Taipan. Most people who live here in USJ would know how busy and packed the place is most of the time, and yesterday wasn't any different. Like I said, these guys are getting bolder by the day.

After dinner, as she was leaving the restaurant with my cousins, this two guys on a motor bike came by and tried to grabbed her handbag from behind. Naturally, she resisted and ended up falling over backwards and smashing her hard on the gravel road. Of course, the two culprits got away even though two of my cousins tried to give chase.

By that time, according to my auntie, my mom lost consciousness and was bleeding badly from the head and also apparently stopped breathing or close to it. As fate would have it, a doctor happened to be passing by, saw the entire incident, got out from his car and proceeded to do whatever it was that needed to be done and got her breathing and semi-conscious again and my cousins rushed her off to a nearby clinic who instructed them to take her straight the hospital cos it was a head wound trauma case.

I couldn't be reached as I didn't really hear my cell phone ring and one of my cousins came over to my place hysterically screaming that my mom was robbed and was in a very bad shape and was showing me the blood on her hands which got me all panicky. I thought the entire episode could have been handled a little more calmly but that's a story for another day.

So I rushed off to the hospital and was just in time to see my mom being checked in by another cousin for treatment. To cut a long story short, she had to have her an X-ray of her scalp and chest which she said was actually hurting very badly (thankfully she was already conscious and able to talk by the time I got there).

After going through the entire procedure and getting her head wound stitched, she was given the all clear with no visibly serious injuries but was told that she needed to stay back for a couple of hours observations and was released on the same day.

I was thankful that it wasn't more serious than that. By the time I took her home and the entire episode settled down around 2.00am, I was visibly stressed out so much so that wifey could see the stress oozing out of my system. What a day it was for me. Never in my entire life did I think something like this would happen to a member of my family.

My questions is, are the Police seriously doing anything about trying to curb this snatch theft menace or are they busy with other duties nabbing all the innocent people in this country? Crime has escalated to a level so high and it gets worse every day but all I hear is that they're having this operation and that operation but with no results in sight?

Just what the heck do the Police really do these days? I don't see them patrolling the streets as much as they should. Communities have to hire personal security guards and fence up their neighborhoods just to keep themselves safe which boggles the mind seeing as how we do have a Police force.

Take the area I live in for instance, practically every section now has their own security guards and fenced up areas cos they're so afraid of crime that is still happening in their areas. Shouldn't this protection business be the job of the Police?

I'm pissed, really pissed. If the Police were doing their jobs properly, what my mom had to go through would not have happened. I don't care if they don't have enough personnel (which I'm sure they do judging by the amount of personnel they can mobilize in an instant during the curbing of peaceful protesters) but I expect my family members and me to be able to live in a safe environment without having to look over our shoulders all the time. After all that is why I pay taxes for in the first place.

I'm sure my mom is going to be traumatized for months or maybe even years to come and she's not going to feel safe when she goes out anymore. My mom is an outgoing person who is out all the time and now I'm not going to feel comfortable if she goes out again. In fact, judging by her reaction last night, she probably won't be going out on her own for quite a while.

Right now I'm also really not going to be at ease even when the boys are walking home from school or if wifey goes out on her own. Even this morning when we were out sending the boys for Sunday school and then doing our shopping I was constantly telling her to keep a tight reign on her purse (she didn't want to carry a handbag after last nights episode). See how one little incident can put so much fear into a person.

Anyway, I pray and hope that those two snatch theft bastards get what's due to them. If I ever see a snatch theft incident happening in front of me and if I have the chance to do something about it, trust me, I'll run over the lowly bastards, you can count on that! Then again, I just might burn them in an Amish fireplace!

Gluten-sensitivity with bone loss link uncovered - bbc online

Coeliac bone loss link uncovered
Osteoporotic bone
Osteoporosis literally means that the bones become porous, and break

People with coeliac disease may be more susceptible to osteoporosis because their own immune system attacks their bone tissue, a study suggests.

Osteoporosis is a known risk of coeliac disease and has been explained by a failure to absorb calcium or vitamin D.

But a study in the New England Journal of Medicine suggests coeliac patients produce antibodies which attack a key protein that maintains bone health.

They could easily be treated with drugs to prevent bone loss, researchers say.

It also explains why osteoporosis in those with the digestive disorder may not respond to calcium and vitamin D.

Coeliac disease is caused by a reaction to gluten, a protein found in wheat, which damage the small finger-like villi that line the small intestine and play a key role in digestion.

When damaged and inflamed, the villi are unable to absorb food properly, causing diarrhoea and malnutrition.

It affects one in 100 people, and of these a significant proportion may go on to develop osteoporosis - a disease of bone that leads to an increased risk of painful and disabling fractures.

Protein clue

Scientists at the University of Edinburgh say it may be a protein called osteoprotegerin which holds the key to the link between coeliac disease and osteoporosis.

Our traditional understanding of its cause has left some people with the condition with little hope that their symptoms and quality of life will improve
Sarah Sleet
Coeliac UK

In 20% of the coeliac patients tested, antibodies were produced which stopped this protein - crucial for maintaining bone strength - from working effectively.

Lead researcher Professor Stuart Ralston from the Institute of Genetics and Molecular Medicine, said: "This is a very exciting step forward. Not only have we discovered a new reason to explain why osteoporosis occurs in coeliac disease, but we have also found that it responds very well to drugs that prevent bone tissue removal.

"Testing for these antibodies could make a real and important difference to the lives of people with coeliac disease by alerting us to the risk of osteoporosis and helping us find the correct treatment for them."

Sarah Sleet, head of Coeliac UK said: "Osteoporosis is a damaging complication of coeliac disease and our traditional understanding of its cause has left some people with the condition with little hope that their symptoms and quality of life will improve.

"This new breakthrough in understanding and treatment will give renewed hope to our members struggling with their condition."

Dr Claire Bowring, medical policy officer with the National Osteoporosis Society said: "We already know that coeliac disease is a risk factor for osteoporosis and that early diagnosis and treatment of coeliac disease gives the best chance of improving bone density.

"A better understanding of the relationship between coeliac disease and osteoporosis will enable clinicians to manage both conditions more effectively.

"Although this research is at an early stage it is certainly interesting and we look forward to more extensive work to identify how prevalent this antibody is in people with coeliac disease." 1Malaysia Concept Not Unusual, Says Najib - altantuya nizar nizar nizar nizar nizar nizar nizar

At first, 1Malaysia concept not new. So, it's still the same old Malaysia concept lah...divide and rule.

Now, 1Malaysia concept nothing unusual.

So, 1Malaysia is no BIG deal.

Nothing but just different packaging.

Nevertheless, I must admit the marketing of 1Malaysia is gaining a certain level of impact.

As for me, I am unimpressed.

Why should I be since the 'creator' of 1Malaysia confessed that it was not new and nothing unsual??

Humming Urban Stereo – Hawaiian Couple music video

Hawaiian Couple, a cheerful song by Korean electropop band Humming Urban Stereo, released in 2007. Pretty cute MV too…

The MV starred the main cast from Korean film My Love, i.e. Gam Woo-sung, Choi Kang-hee, Jung Il-woo, Lee Yeon-hee and Uhm Tae-woong. The song was probably used as one of the movie OST as well.

Era Najib Altantuya : Majoriti BN Cuma 831 Tanpa Undi Pos

Posted: 11 Oct 2009 09:04 AM PDT

Calon Barisan Nasional (BN), Tan Sri Mohd. Isa Abdul Samad menang pada pilihan kecil DUN Bagan Pinang dengan majoriti tipu 5,435 undi, mengikut analisis seorang blogger, iniyangakurasa.

Mohd. Isa memperoleh 8,013 undi manakala calon Pas, Zulkifly Mohamad Omar memperoleh 2,578 undi.

UNDI POS = 4,604

MAJORITI TIPU - UNDI POS = 5,435 - 4,604 = 831 undi

Ulasan GB

* Sebenarnya analisis blogger berkenaan tersilap. Tanpa undi pos majoriti BN ialah 2026.

Exactly a century is met from the sinking of Titanic Cruise recreate the fateful journey with dinners and dances of the time and honor the over 1,500 victims of the most famous maritime disaster the world.

The firm organizer, Miles Morgan Travel, said that most of the places of the trip, the boat is relaizará 'Balmoral', were reserved for families of victims of the accident. "I talked to several people who cried on the phone. A woman actually broke when I read the itinerary," he told Reuters the company director, Miles Morgan.

The Titanic Memorial Cruise will depart from Southampton, England, on 8 April 2012 and will address the same place where the ship sank on 12 April 1912 between 23.40 and 2.20 of the next day. On April 19, the ship will reach its final destination at the port of New York, where he directed the liner.

The cruise has already sold nearly half of the 710 cabins, with prices ranging from 2595 pounds (over 2,800 euros) and 7995 pounds (almost 8,700)

"There are many people who are fans of the Titanic. They collect all the related objects, even met a person who has an entire room dedicated to the Titanic at home," said Morgan.

After setting sail from Southampton, the cruise ship 'Balmoral' Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, will stop in Cobh, Ireland, the last stop of the Titanic.

The trip perfectly recreate the original voyage and even replicas of menus served in 1912 and organized an elegant dinner, in addition to numerous talks on the history of famous ship.

In the place where the ship hit an iceberg there will be a funeral ceremony. U.S. Senate figures indicate that 1517 of the 2,000 people on board lost their lives in the accident, but never reached a general consensus regarding the number of victims.

"We have received some criticism, but that's okay because I know that some people have made reservations to honor his family," declared the director of the organizing company.

Era Najib Altantuya : PAS Tumpas, Rasuah Menang Di Bagan Pinang

Posted: 11 Oct 2009 06:49 AM PDT

Meskipun Bagan Pinang melunaskan kekontangan Umno-BN, pemerhati politik bersetuju kemenangan Isa Samad memudaratkan imej Umno, dan merencat reformasi lanskap politik negara.

Local councils in Selangor State may very well give them free dog licenses in the near future.

This was announced by YB Ronnie Liu, the Selangor State Executive Councillor at MBPJ's Dog Forum at the Petaling Jaya Library this morning.

The response came from Liu after a unanimous call from about 300 hundred participants who included disabled persons who were blind and wheelchair-bound.

"Discounts for the elderly and the handicapped are certainly something that the Selangor Government can easily afford," pointed out Dr Chandra Muzaffar, the forum's keynote speaker and adviser to Petpositive.

Other issues brought up by participants was the need to create dog-parks in Malaysia, revise the Animal Ordinance Act of 1953 and start a spay and neuter facility in PJ.

The End.

Kelly Clarkson – Already Gone

Posted: 09 Oct 2009 06:05 AM PDT

This is a beautiful song.

Remember all the things we wanted
Now all our memories they're haunted
We were always meant to say goodbye

Even with our fists held high
It never would've worked out right
We were never meant for do or die

I didn't want us to burn out
I didn't come here to hold you, now I can't stop

I want you to know that it doesn't matter
Where we take this road someone's gotta go
And I want you to know you couldn't have loved me better
But I want you to move on so I'm already gone

Looking at you makes it harder
But I know that you'll find another
That doesn't always make you want to cry

Started with a perfect kiss then we could feel the poison set in
Perfect couldn't keep this love alive
You know that I love you so, I love you enough to let you go

I want you to know that it doesn't matter
Where we take this road someone's gotta go
And I want you to know you couldn't have loved me better
But I want you to move on so I'm already gone

I'm already gone, already gone
You can't make it feel right when you know that it's wrong
I'm already gone, already gone
There's no moving on so I'm already gone

Already gone, already gone, already gone
Already gone, already gone, already gone, yeah

Remember all the things we wanted
Now all our memories they're haunted
We were always meant to say goodbye

I want you to know that it doesn't matter
Where we take this road someone's gotta go
And I want you to know you couldn't have loved me better
But I want you to move on so I'm already gone

I'm already gone, already gone
You can't make it feel right when you know that it's wrong
I'm already gone, already gone
There's no moving on so I'm already gone

This is my favourite song. A peace song for all!

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

There some people think that John Lennon's song tried to impose Zionism or even linked with Secret Societies. Cisss! Mengarut jer lebih. I'm anti-racist, but I'm not anti-Jews. Stupid people thinks like that.

p/s: Why do you think God created different races in this world? The answer only one, ''TO KNOW EACH OTHER''.

As I Light A Cigarette

Posted: 11 Oct 2009 05:36 AM PDT

As I light a cigarette,
I can't help thinking why I smoked..
It isn't doing me any good at all...
It burns my lips,
Hurt my eyes,
And as I inhale,
It brings pain to my chest
Even takes me to a state where loneliness and emptiness resides....
As I throw it away,
I promise that I would never light another again...
The scent lingers....
I took another stick and realized.......
I'm already hooked to it!
 It's just like you,
Risky and yet,

Election vs Erection

Posted: 11 Oct 2009 03:57 AM PDT

Today is the by-election of Bagan Pinang, Negeri Sembilan... It's an interesting by-election. I was attending my Strategic Management Resource (SMR) class this afternoon and felt so bored, decided to text my friend to tease him...

Me: Dude, who will erect for today on the by-erection in Bagan Pinang?
Friend: I'm having an erection :p
Me: Wow! The by-erection really make you so excited. Blek~

Then, no reply from my friend... I think he really got an erection... hehehe :p

Anyway, don't put me wrong that i could not differentiate election and erection... I just wanna to tease my friend... Whoever that reply my text... Thanks for helping to take away my boredom in the class.

What will be the result of the by-election... hmm... I don't have any news yet but let's wait for the result eh~
