Era Najib Altantuya : Siasatan Telus Untuk Kes Beng Hock-Ean Yong

Posted: 24 Oct 2009 05:39 AM PDT

-TVS

Era Najib Altantuya : Bajet Gula-gula Najib Gagal Tutup Asas Kekuatan Ekonomi Malaysia

Posted: 24 Oct 2009 05:34 AM PDT

-TVS

Golota Polish Boxer

Posted: 24 Oct 2009 03:29 AM PDT

"Andrew Golota - 116.3 kilograms!" - Shouted the dramatic voice leading the ceremony, when the boxer stood on an electronic weighing. Ceremony - the logic behind this is not. Heavyweight Boxers weigh how much they weigh, do not exceed the limit of a maximum limit of common sense. But in this case, Golota did confused face, he glanced once more to see the result and he whispered to himself, absently: "lal".
Dozens of photographers flashes sparkled like mad.

Golota, the great white hope. Unrealized, and still admired
Boxers were once two friends. Went skiing together, now do not feel sympathy for each other, although Golota recently shouted

He fled from the ring and his U.S. śmiano the Poles. Despite this, always there were some who believed that he could beat any opponent. Andrew Golota still arouses great emotions. In Lodz, the stands will certainly again be sounded familiar: "Jędruś lutuj '?

An administration that must be fair in all matters, free from corruption, respect laws and show concern for all communities?

What an ideal situation! Unfortunately, reality is far from it.

Who or what has led the administration or government of Malaysia for 52 years?

Is he not from Umno or is it not Umno?

GSC Signature At The Gardens

GSC Signature Premier Class movie ticket

Look what came in the mail – two GSC Signature at The Gardens Premier Class movie vouchers from HSBC! It is prize for fulfilling one of their credit card campaigns a while back. We have never watched movies at the GSC Signature before as each ticket costs RM20. That is a lot of money for two hours of entertainment when I can get a disabled person ticket for RM6 only for the normal halls.

Most times Wuan and I book the couple seats for RM26 plus RM1 surcharge. I prefer to watch movies from the back of the cinema. We frequent the GSC at 1 Utama which is very accessible for wheelchair users. This two tickets will give us an opportunity to check out the accessibility at the GSC Signature. Most probably, we will use these two tickets to watch "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs" later next week.

Era Najib Altantuya : Belanjawan 2010 Cermin Kerapuhan Kewangan BN

Posted: 23 Oct 2009 11:47 PM PDT

-TVS

Budget based more on charity than justice - NST

Posted: 23 Oct 2009 11:09 PM PDT

'It's based more on charity than justice'

2009/10/24

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Animal-Assisted Therapy for the Disabled and Elderly Association (Petpositive) is disappointed with the Budget announced yesterday.
Its president, Anthony Thanasayan, said the Budget was tailored more for able-bodied persons rather than the smaller group of handicapped who comprised 10 per cent of the country's 28-odd million population.

Anthony, who is also the Petaling Jaya City Council councillor in charge of disabled persons, said, nonetheless, the 2010 Budget was far better than for 2009.

"The increase from RM50 to RM250 a month in allowance for disabled children is lauded. However, we have been lobbying for RM300 a month as it will be more meaningful to cover expenses like medication, medical equipment and personal expenses.

"We are disappointed that the Budget is more charity than justice-based. Charity is handouts which appears to leave us out of the 1Malaysia concept. Aren't we part of it?"

Anthony said the allocation for infrastructure should have taken into account proper walkway pavements, elevators and toilets for the disabled and elderly.

"The pavements are not friendly for even the able-bodied. Many are uneven and have obstructions, such as potholes, lamp posts and signboards.

"We need universally-designed pavements that have safety features, like railings to prevent children from falling into the drains."

Anthony also said schools should have proper toilet facilities for disabled children.

He hoped the government would also consider providing free Internet service for the bed-ridden and physically handicapped.

Updates From Hong Kong

Posted: 23 Oct 2009 08:25 PM PDT

I had been receiving the same question again and again but I do see the logic behind this question. Being away from home for a long period, it makes sense for friends back home to ask this.

People, I am here in Hong Kong not entirely for leisure, that is for sure. Hong Kong is not a country like Thailand where you can survive with minimal spending. The pace and living standard in Hong Kong is high, it is only logical for you to earn and spend here. So i will update a bit on what I am doing, why I made this move and when all this will be over.

Thanks to my years of networking in the cyberworld, be it blogging, facebooking, twittering, etc, I was requested by a company here in Hong Kong to assist on their website revamping. This is an international company with networks across 18 cities around the world. Unfortunately, their business had grown rapidly that they ignored entirely the importance of web marketing.

So I was given a task to do a total makeover on their website and at the same time advice them on activities to run online. For the past 2 weeks, I had meetings with the owner of the business and was requested to understand fully on their business before they award me the whole project. So in a way, I am sort like a web marketing consultant if you need to give a position to it.

In terms of knowledge on internet, I would say Malaysians are doing better than the people here in Hong Kong. The people here are more practical and more revenue centric kind of thinking and to invest a substantial money onto web, I need to have a certain level of convincing power towards my client. The few days I had checked in their office and I was given a work desk by them. Though in terms of knowledge we Malaysians have the human resource in this area but unfortunately in Malaysia we are enjoying crap internet connection. The infrastructure here is amazing, in terms of bandwidth that makes surfing a pleasure here not to mention downloading & uploading files.

Client's office is in the Hong Kong International Airport (I will talk about in depth of their businesses in another day). I was given a chance to tour the whole airport both Terminal 1 & 2 and Arrival Hall. This airport is massively huge and a lot of walking around, a simple tour can last about 3 hours per session. I had done 3 tours so far and now is in the final stage of getting all the collective data and findings for my analysis to client.

I am supported by designers in Malaysia and dear if you are reading this, thanks for the great support, we can do great things together and my apology for pushing and giving you info on the very last minute each and every time. As for me, I will be doing the copy writing for them. So I am sort like a medium to coordinate and communicate client's needs and requirements to my designers.

In terms of my own revenue, I would say the amount is not what many would assume it is, in short, OK lah, if not I wouldn't have travel so far for this. That amount was pretty similar to what I made during my employment days in XX company.

Then why do I make this move? Firstly, it is the exposure. Not many would have a chance to work and experience how is it like working in Hong Kong. I had a chance to join the sales & marketing meeting recently and I got to say it is totally a fresh experience for me even though I had been working with Koreans for about 8 years. Secondly, this short project of mine if successfully implemented will do good for my resume definitely. And really, it does make an impact. People with overseas experiences most of the time will have its plus points compare to those with local experiences.

So friends out there, you guys know what I had been doing. And of course, during these period here, I do try my best to meet up friends who make their visit here in Hong Kong. With AirAsia, more and more Malaysians will frequent Hong Kong. Next week will be meeting ex-colleagues who will be here for a launching and I will be attending it. The week after, another 3 female friends will be coming for a shopping trip and the following week 2 other friends are coming. So I manage to squeeze my time to juggle between work and leisure here.

My mom and my youngest brother had just gone home today. So it's home alone most of the time for me here and yes I do miss friends back home. I do not miss Malaysia to be frank but I miss my friends who are able to listen to me, to cheer me up when I need to, I miss them a lot! And I do hope I can conclude my project here and meet up with them for a short time in December, fingers crossed! Brothers, pray for me ya!

And for the next year's plan, I will share when the time is right. At the moment, I just want to focus on this project and I cannot afford to flop at this point of time. Ending this long winded post with a photo taken in Elements in Kowloon.

Until then, work aside, I will update more about my life here soon! Love you!

Respecting the Faithful vs. Respecting the Faith

Posted: 23 Oct 2009 09:53 PM PDT

During the pope's recent Mideast visit, the media reported that he has "deep respect for Islam." That exact phrase appeared in the Associated Press, AFP, BBC, Jerusalem Post, Washington Times, and Al-Jazeera.

Yet he said no such thing; instead, he mentioned his "deep respect for the Muslim community." There's a world of difference between respecting a religious group and respecting their religion, and the pontiff knows this. The latter also uphold this position. In fact, that is what makes the secular West unique: the right to follow any (or no) religion is guaranteed, is "respected."

Due to this, however, a subtle conflation has come to dominate our way of thinking: respect for people's right to believe any religion has somewhere along the line — and thanks to political correctness — morphed into respect for the religion itself (excluding, of course, cheek-turning Christianity, the secular West's "punching bag"). It was therefore only natural for the (increasingly sloppy) media to portray Benedict's respect for Muslims as respect for Islam. Continued here.....

Saya Anak Bangsa Malaysia Roadshow - in Penang!

Posted: 23 Oct 2009 09:28 PM PDT

Penangites of all ages, races and religions, spare your day for this roadshow!

We often say we need changes for Malaysia and Malaysians.
But what kind of changes?

If your understanding towards the meaning of being a MALAYSIAN is still vague and unclear, I can confidently tell you that THIS roadshow IS THAT KIND OF CHANGE that we need; or at least, this is the first basic step toward those changes for the sake of a better Malaysia.

Read more down here.

Taken from Haris Ibrahim's blog, The People's Parliament.

We are here, not because we are law-breakers; we are here in our efforts to become law-makers – Emmeline Pankhurst

Penangites, block out 15th November, 2009 in your diary.

The Saya Anak Bangsa Malaysia Roadshow, which has been planned as a full-day event, hits Penang on that day.

The venue : Hu Yew Seah Hall, 43 Madras Lane, Penang

We will kick off the event with a half-day youth workshop "Ada Apa Dengan Bangsa?" that morning, anchored by our smart partner, KOMAS. Participants will be urged to explore our identity, who we really are and what we believe in as Malaysians.

Numbers at the youth workshop, which is scheduled to start sharp at 9.00am, to be conducted with a mix of both Bahasa Malaysia and English, will be limited to 30 participants so that there will be greater scope for interaction.

If you're aged between 17 – 25 and would like to participate in the youth workshop, send your details ( name, i.c. number, address, telephone contact number, and what you are presently doing ) to admin@sayaanakbangsamalaysia.net

The SABM forum, simply entitled "Bring Along A Friend", kicks off in the afternoon, tentatively scheduled to start at 2.30pm, with the screening of "Sepuluh Tahun Sebelum Merdeka", an excellent documentary by Fahmi Reza, who will himself be at the forum to share some of his thoughts with us. The documentary gives an insight into the state of politics some 10 years before Malaya attained independence from the British. This documentary makes for an excellent backdrop for the forum and Q & A session that will follow immediately after.

A panel of speakers is being assembled to deliver some thought-provoking ideas whereafter participants will be given ample time during the Q & A session to get in on the healthy discussion that we hope will happen. The names of panellists will be announced at a later date.

We will serve light refreshments after the forum and Q & A session and then we will be screening KOMAS' "Gaduh". If you have not yet watched this short film, this screening in itself may be reason enough for you take make the effort to attend the forum.

Why is the forum entitled "Bring Along A Friend"?

Quite simply, because that's what you'll have to do to attend the forum.

This is how it works.

Attendance is by invitation.

So you'll have to e-mail us for an invitation, both for yourself and a friend of yours.

Now if you're a Malay Malaysian, you'll also have to register a non-Malay Malaysian friend, besides registering yourself for the forum. Conversely, if you're non-Malay Malaysian, we will require you to also register a Malay Malaysian friend.

As with the youth workshop, if you'd like to attend the forum, send your and your friend's details ( name, i.c. number, address, telephone contact number, and what you and your friend are presently doing ) to admin@sayaanakbangsamalaysia.net

Russian pirate hunter in Malaysia

Posted: 23 Oct 2009 08:06 PM PDT

ONE of Russia's most modern naval vessels, Admiral Tributs, arrived at Port Klang on a five-day stop-over visit yesterday 23 Oct 09.

The destroyer, designated by the Russian Navy as Large Anti-Submarine Warfare ship, is commanded by Cdr Andrei Kutznetsov.

The ship and its crew of 300 is on its way back to Vladivostok, Russia's biggest Pacific Ocean port, after a three-month tour of duty in the Gulf of Aden, as part of an international operation against Somali pirates. Apart from the destroyer, two other Russian vessels that formed the anti-piracy task-force, a tanker Boris Butoma and salvage tug MB 99, also berthed at the port.
The task force was the third Russian contingent to be sent to the Gulf of Aden since October last year.

About 35 warships from the navies of 16 countries are currently deployed off the coast of Somalia to counter frequent pirate attacks on vital commercial lanes. According to the United Nations, Somali pirates carried out at least 120 attacks on ships last year.
Admiral Tributs, with its two tall masts festooned with various antennas and radars, stood out from the rest of the merchant vessels at the port.

At 163 metres long, the ship is just 20 metres short of two football fields. It is about the height of a fourstorey building from its keel to its tallest mast. Its widest point is about the width of two tennis courts.

Due to security concerns, only invited guests are allowed to visit the ship. This is not the first time, Admiral Tributs is in Malaysia. In 1990, the ship visited Penang before returning to Vladivostok. Admiral Tributs has been in service since 1980 and the ship has made numerous visits to Japan, India, Indonesia, South Korea, China and Singapore.

The ship's main armaments are the SSN-14 Anti Submarine Missile and SA-N-9 surface-to-air missiles. It is also mounted with two 100mm guns, four 30mm guns, eight torpedo tubes and two anti-submarine mortars.

She carries two Kamov Ka-27 helicopters for reconnaissance and search missions. Admiral Tributs is powered by four gas turbines that can propel the ship up to 29 knots or 53 km/h In the 80s, the SSN-14 missile could be armed with nuclear warheads to destroy ballistic missile submarines and enemy ships.

However, since the late 90s, it is believed that the nuclear armed missiles have been retired from the Russian Navy. Admiral Tributs is among four Udaloy class destroyers in service with the Russian Pacific Fleet. The ship was named after Admiral Vladimir Filippovich Tributs, a Soviet naval commander during World War II.

Twelve Udaloy class ships were built between 1980 and 1991, while a thirteenth ship built to a modified design
— designated as the Udaloy II class — followed in 1999.

Era Najib Altantuya : Pemimpin PAS Bermasalah, Berundur Atau Diundurkan

Posted: 23 Oct 2009 06:51 PM PDT

So, apa nak dikatakan lagi.... You reap what you sow!! Itulah natijahnya.

Slogan PAS For All yang dilaungkan-laungkan hanya retorik semata-mata.

Wallahualam...

Apa-apa pun kita tunggu reaksi Presiden parti, TG Hj Hadi.

Bersatu kita teguh, bercerai kita roboh.

-Mumof3Mohd
