Perak PKR alleges BN reps got kickbacks and have opened their books to the media and are now asking the ruling party to do the...

PKR state deputy chief Chang Lih Kang got wind of the kickbacks when Pakatan Rakyat took control of the state in March 8 last year. He alleged that the practice was to take 20 percent of the amount donated for temples or associations. For example, if RM1,000 was donated then RM200 went into the pockets of these unscrupulous BN assemblypersons.

Again, is there any surprise that BN reps are getting 'commission'?

Will MACC investigate the allegations??

Aiyah should not even bother to ask if MACC would investigate. ;-)

Another life-size giant robot in Japan

Posted: 01 Oct 2009 08:33 AM PDT

After the highly popular life-size 18-metre Gundam model in Tokyo, another giant Japanese robot statue, the Tetsujin 28-go (lit. Iron Man #28), is set to welcome its visitors in Kobe following its completion earlier this week.

Life-size Tetsujin 28-go giant robot statue in Kobe, Japan

The Tetsujin 28 statue is located at Kobe's Wakamatsu Park. It's similar in height with the Gundam statue, but doesn't have moving parts like the Tokyo counterpart. The Kobe robot is built as a permanent structure though, whereas the Gundam was disassembled after two months of exhibition.

Tetsujin 28 was created in 1956 by Kobe-born Mitsuteru Yokoyama; it was one of the earliest giant robot characters in Japanese comics. The manga was later adapted into anime series and was aired in US as well, retitled as the Gigantor.

If the trend keeps going, we might be seeing dozens of giant robot models across Japan in future… pretty fitting tourist attraction for the #1 robotic nation lol.

Submit To The Majority

Posted: 01 Oct 2009 06:50 AM PDT

As our CM put it, the rule of the game is simple and straightforward: Submit to the majority!

SDC is a test of political maturity of the party's delegates.

By casting their votes on Oct. 25, they hold in their hands the fate of the political life of SCT. More than just that, collectively they are voting for a clearer emergence of leadership succession of the party.

This SDC is a lot more than just resolving the mess of Dudong. There is undercurrent going on.

EXCLUSIVE What hurts Indrani most is the scathing remarks by Mahathir.
In an exclusive interview with Malaysiakini yesterday, Indrani, 69, said it was not proper for Mahathir to state, among others, that in Japan, defeated leaders would have committed 'harakiri' (killed themselves). "He did not say it directly... but what if he (Samy Vellu) had taken it seriously. It may not affect my husband but such statements do leave an impact on our family," she said. Since Lim Guan Eng is 'itching for a fight', his predecessor is willing to give him one. But Koh Tsu Koon sets two conditions.

The first condition: Lim must make public all relevant documents (Well, I already guessed Koh would set this condition).

The second condition: Answer three questions (What is the purpose of a debate if Lim is required to answer three questions now?).

Final Fantasy XIII official trailer @ TGS 2009

Posted: 01 Oct 2009 07:29 AM PDT

Video game developer Square Enix has released a seven-minutes long Japanese trailer for Final Fantasy XIII at the Tokyo Game Show 2009…

The Final Fantasy console game series was revolutionary in the 80s and 90s, popularising the role-playing-game (RPG) genre with its well written plots and high quality visuals & soundtracks.

Not sure if the game will appeal to younger generation these days; but for RPG gamers who grew up in that era, it's a highly anticipated game for sure.

FFXIII will be released in Japan in December 2009 on PS3. Xbox and international versions estimated to be available in spring 2010.

Dumb arsed, stupid, ignorant and intolerant Egptians, serves them right !!

Posted: 01 Oct 2009 06:15 AM PDT

When the government killed all the pigs in Egypt this spring – in what public health experts said was a misguided attempt to combat swine flu – it was warned Cairo would be overwhelmed with refuse. And it is. The pigs used to eat tons of organic waste. Now the pigs are gone and rotting food piles up on middle-class and poor streets alike. It was an excuse to steal the lands of the oppressed. When the swine flu fear first emerged, long before even one case was reported in Egypt, President Hosni Mubarak ordered that all the pigs be killed in order to prevent the spread of the disease. Brilliant, ain't he?

What started out as an impulsive response to the swine flu threat has turned into a social, environmental and political problem for the Arab world's most populous state.
Cairo's rubbish garbage collection belonged to the informal sector of the economy. The government hired multinational companies to collect the refuse, and the companies decided to place bins around the city. But they failed to understand the ethos of the community. People do not take their garbage out. They are accustomed to someone collecting it from the door.

For more than half a century, those collectors were the Zabaleen, a community of Egyptian Christians who live on the cliffs on the eastern edge of the city. They collected the rubbish , sold the recyclables and fed the organic waste to their pigs – which they then slaughtered and ate. When health officials worldwide said that the virus was not being passed by pigs, the Egyptian government said that the cull was no longer about the flu, but was about cleaning up the Zabaleen's crowded, filthy, neighbourhood.

That was in May. Today the streets of the Zabaleen community are as packed with stinking trash and as clouded with flies as ever before. But the Zabaleen have done exactly what they said they would do – they stopped collecting most of the organic waste. Instead they dump it wherever they can or, at best, pile it beside bins scattered around the city by the international companies that have struggled in vain to keep up with the rubbish.

"They killed the pigs, let them clean the city," said Moussa Rateb, a former rubbish collector and pig owner who lives in the Zabaleen community. "Everything used to go to the pigs. Now there are no pigs, so it goes to the administration." The recent refuse problem was compounded when employees of one of the multinational companies – men and women in green uniforms with crude brooms dispatched around the city – stopped working in a dispute with the city. The government says that the dispute has been resolved, but nothing has been done to repair the damage to the informal system that once had the Zabaleen take Cairo's rubbish home. Scotsman - Published Date: 21 September 2009

I hope sincerely, that the Egyptians wallow in the filth they created themselves, by inflicting sufferings on the minority Christians. Enjoy your self inflicted filth and the world is happily laughing at your stupidity. Watch a pig die, it takes a long time. Warning: Very graphic.

Inkues Teoh Beng Hock : Pemilik DNA Misteri DIketahui Esok

Posted: 01 Oct 2009 05:24 AM PDT

-Bernama

Era Najib Altantuya : Hong Kong Rampas Wang Musa Aman?

Posted: 01 Oct 2009 05:16 AM PDT

"CM (Musa) marah betul atas kebodohan Michael Chia kerana bawa wang tunai.

Era Najib Altantuya : Korban Gempa Meningkat Lebih 500 Orang

Posted: 01 Oct 2009 05:11 AM PDT

JMM berkata sejak semalam, lapan gegaran susulan direkodkan berskala 4.5 hingga 6.8 Richter.

The HIV awareness programme we're hoping to do for the Orang Asli community is targeted for December, in conjunction with the World Aids Day. Hopefully we can get all the plans worked out by then.

But I can't wait until then to give help to the OAs who are already infected/affected by HIV - especially cases which had already been referred to us. Like the recent case I mentioned.

Actually another volunteer, Pat, has been assigned to Wan, the OA lady. I'm just the co-buddy, that too because the volunteer who was on clinic duty when Wan's case was referred to Buddies, felt that Wan's son deserved assistance from our Children Education Fund.

Earlier, when I asked Rosnah on the whereabouts of Wan's kampong, Rosnah told me that we'd need a 4 wheel drive to get there. Then later when I asked Shila, Shila said the kampong is accessible by car. She had gone there twice to mandi sungai.

This morning Pat called me to ask me again on the name of the OA lady. You see, Pat stays in a town where there are quite a few OA settlements, and other than being involved with Buddies, she and her husband, with another group of volunteers do go in to OA settlements from time to time. So yes, Pat is quite used to going in to OA settlements. Just as well that she has been assigned as Wan's buddy.

However, Wan's kampong is in another town, not far from the town where Pat stays. After getting some info from me before Raya, Pat was thinking of going to visit Wan. She had wanted to go for the past few days, but it had been raining in the mornings and her husband advised her not to go on rainy days as the roads may be slippery. But the weather looked clear this morning and so Pat called me to get more info on the lady before attempting to find the kampong, which she had not been to before, and so she herself couldn't be too sure of what to expect.

About 4 pm today, Pat called me...

"Aiyo Afizah, don't ever attempt to go there alone lah!"

Pat was glad she went in her Kancil, and with a friend. Apparently, the road is very narrow, and she had to go quite far in, uphill. After asking here and there, she still was not able to get to Wan's house. She then got to a place, where she was told she'd have to walk to get further in. The only other choice is by motorbike.

Well, both Pat and I had visited Hana's home before where we had to park our cars at the bottom of the hill and climb up on foot. But that was considered easy - walking up would take less than 3 minutes.

To get to Wan's house, Pat was told that she'd need about an hour walk. An hour?! I guess when Shila mentioned the place is accessible by car, it never occurred to her that we'd have to go so far uphill.

Nope, Pat was not prepared to walk that far in. But she wasn't about to give up either (she's a very dedicated volunteer!). Coincidentally, one guy was going up on a motorbike, and so Pat stopped him and asked if he knew Wan. Luckily the guy did. So Pat asked for a favor from him - asking him if he could go up and get Wan to come down to where Pat was. She even gave him some petrol money in return.

Off the guy went. Pat and her friend had to wait for quite some time, she thought the guy had simply ran off with the money. But the guy did finally come down, much to Pat's relief. After all the waiting, Pat was told that Wan had gone to the hospital for her appointment. It was at this point that the guy admitted to Pat that Wan was actually his sister! Duh! So Pat gave her number to this guy, and told him to get Wan to call her.

Anyway, the guy mentioned that based on the time, chances were that Wan would be at the town's bus station, back from her hospital appointment. Off he rode his motorbike to town, and within minutes, Pat received a call from Wan. True enough, Wan was at the bus station. So Pat told Wan to wait there for her.

Yes, after all the obstacles, Pat did finally get to meet Wan. Wan has a sister who stays in town, and her sister can be contacted by phone. At least if we need to get hold of Wan, we can now pass a message through her sister. Pat also took down Wan's bank account details.

That means I can now easily pass some money to Wan while having my butts parked in front of my computer - online banking lah!

But that doesn't mean I no longer intend to visit Wan. Visiting the place sounds adventurous enough, and I do love adventure! I do however have to make sure I go in the proper attire when I visit her - and especially proper walking shoes. And probably also with a small backpack - complete with drinking water and all.

And more importantly, as Pat advised, not to go alone.

Era Najib Altantuya : Shahruddin Dipecat Jika Tanding Bebas

Posted: 01 Oct 2009 03:33 AM PDT

-Bernama

Mamasita's Fiery Temper

Posted: 01 Oct 2009 01:40 AM PDT

J phoned me up about half an hour ago. Apparently the water supply in their apartment unit has been reduced to a meehoon flow since last night. She tried talking to the relevant condo personnel but I am now needed to interfere because my voice is 'louder'!

Fateen went to classes without bathing, H and J had to share the pail of stored water in the bathroom. Imagine going to work without a proper bath. And today is H's first day of work on his new job! Both of them 'wangi' lah.

The Sales Office (SO) advised my daughter to make a police report. The landlord had not paid the maintenance fees and the Management Office (MO) had requested that J go after the landlord. Chase the landlord??

That sparked my temper. Maniam from the MO refused to connect the water supply. He dared J and now me, to make a police report.

Mr Woo from the SO was at first giving all kinds of excuses not to handle the matter and advised that a police report be made.I told him that thats not our duty..SO should solve the matter.
Our rental agreement is between us and them only. We do not even know who the landlord is except that his name sounds like a prominent Punjabi lawyer.

After exchanging heated 'discussions' with the both of them ( though I admit I was the one with the more hysterical voice), I called the TTDI police station who then referred me to the nearest police station near the condo area.

Before I proceeded to make a police report from here in Kuantan ( ada online ) I called Mr Woo of the SO again. As you know, this is actually a small we dread having to bring the police in. They are already so overloaded with all kinds of more pressing matters especially the increasing crime cases. And here we nak buat report pasal air???

What a waste of unnecessary 'blood pressure'. The SO said they'll pay a part of the mainteinance fees that was the bone of contention and request the MO to connect back the water supply to its normal flow..whoosh! Why didn't they sort out this matter immediately..its always the case..must gaduh first baru nak do something??

We are now so eager to have our children move out of Palm Springs Condo.
Be it between the landlord, SO and MO, my children should not have had to undergo the punishment and inconvenience. The last time it was a threat. Now the MO really did it.

Ahhh...glad to say GOODBYE to this present apartment.

p.s. I was so distracted that I was not in the mood for cooking. Looks like its nasi kandar lunch for all of us..I want to pour lots of spicy gravy on my rice and make it really HOT!
And..I forgot I had already taken my bath this morning..that sizzling!

Maniam from the MO wants to take some revenge on me..Fateen said that the water is much2 thinner than before..worst! Though Mr Woo from the SO has made some payment on the landlord's behalf, Maniam is gleefully taking his own sweet time to get the water supply reconnected properly. I have heard some negative rot about this Maniam guy. I was told by many that he is a very cocky and rude guy.
Well..looks like its my turn today to face his whatever ugly side. I guess there are many Maniams around. Being arrogant and showing their fangs by virtue of feeling that their positions held are so "big" make their adrenalin pumpings more bungee jumping probably.

Dudong "Branch" Of SUPP - All In The Hands Of Delegates Of SDC

Posted: 30 Sep 2009 11:25 PM PDT

The saga of "Dudong Branch" is now on its way to SDC of SUPP which is scheduled on Oct. 25.

The turn of the event did not come as a surprise at all. The committee of five failed on Sept. 27 to reconcile the two factions and that effectively paved way for a SDC. How could they possibly talk face to face when Dudong group was adamant that the formation of the branch be brought up to the party's highest level?

Between now and the day of SDC, a lot of tricks may set in to give a twist to the infighting. A sizzling hot talk now in Sibu kopitiam is that vote-buying is definitely not to be ruled out.

Posted: 01 Oct 2009 01:44 AM PDT

"Situasi tadi, saya rasa kepala saya pening, saya ingat pening biasa, rasa betul-betul bergoyang rasa nak tumbang, kuat dan cepat-cepat turun, orang menjerit bila building bergoyang, cepat turun," kata Sivabalan.

"Rasa gegaran, so semua turun…masa tu tengah tidur balik kerja..rasa pening sebab bergoyang kuat," kata Khairol Asfar.

Era Najib Altantuya : Kes Kugan Peguam Dan Keluarga Kesal

Posted: 01 Oct 2009 01:32 AM PDT

Polis kena jaga orang. Semua barang dicuri, inikah polis? Pertama kali kena tangkap, kena siksa dan mati. Sekarang baru 1 orang. Ini apa? pamerankah? satu orang sahaja. Saya mahu angkat semua orang. Kita tak mahu 331, kita mahu 302" ujar keluarga Kugan.

Naib Presiden Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla, memberitahu sidang media lewat malam tadi bahawa angka korban dijangka meningkat kerana banyak bangunan runtuh.
