… it can only happened in malaysia. malaysia boleh!
then the selangor police suddenly get intimidated. what so easy for the police to be intimidated? oh yes lah, because this is malaysia. malaysia boleh!
i thought it was the police who is intimidating PR when they lodged report against penang's CM, lim guan eng (LGE). i find it very strange that just because teoh beng hock's ex boss, ean yong hian wah spoke up to ask the police to stop investigating LGE, the police suddenly felt intimidated and going to haul him up for questioning. no freedom of speech? why, many DAP leaders had also urged the police to stop its investigation on LGE… so is the police going to haul all of them up for questioning too? what lah, the police so free ah to haul up MPs and ADUNs while criminals are out there having a field day, not being hauled up!
ok of course everybody know this is selective persecution. why picked on LGE? because he's from DAP. because he's not a umnoputra!
the police made a report against him (sounds funny, doesn't it?) because he had said that teoh beng hock was murdered… but wait haven't we heard so many people, including MPs too saying that? i recalled the few forums i attended on justice for teoh beng hock, almost all the speakers (from DAP, PKR, PAS) hinted teoh beng hock was murdered. and of course we read from so many bloggers and commenters on blogs/websites that also said teoh beng hock was murdered – so why didn't the police lodged police report (sounds funny eh?) against them? why didn't the police hauled all of them up for questioning? oh yeah, remember the thai pathologiest – she also said there is a 80% possibility beng hock was murdered. why was she not hauled up for saying that?
the selangor police chief, khalid abu bakar had said that LGE should not made unsubstantiated remarks. well, remember in the beginning, nazri had said that beng hock jumped from the window – wasn't he making unsubstantiated remark too? so why wasn't he investigated? because he's from umno!
khalid said that what LGE said was seditious. oh yeah? don't made me laugh. compare to what utusan malaysia always came up with, what LGE said was nothing at all! utusan malaysia had came out with very very seditious comments and yet the police do nothing… becuase utusan malaysia belongs to umno. see, selective persecution.
oh… and isn't what khalid is doing now confirming to us the police is under umno and the police is on a blitz persecuting PR?

This is part 2 to my earlier post 'what a shame! rowdy penangites on xmas eve again'.
it was already reported in the star on 25 dec, that was why i picked it up to blog on 26 dec but today's star (27 dec) it was reported again. i can't fnd the 25 dec report online but today's report yes i see it online, hence i am posting the link here (but also CnP it here. to read, click on 'read the rest of this entry'.)
i can't understand why these people had to hijack christmas to turn it into a shameful season! why need to gather on xmas eve? thought it is only new year's eve that people gather. did people gather around waiting for the stroke of midnight on deepeavali to welcome deepavali? or on hari raya eve to welcome hari raya? NO! christmas is a religious occasion and shouldn't be hijacke like this!
well ok if people want to have fun on xmas eve (although their idea of fun has nothing to do with the real meaning of christmas)… i'm not oppose to people having fun… but why become voilent and rowdyat the expense of others in . i also can't understand why the police never block the gurney drive road to prevent vehicles from entering. well some of the drivers too, should themselves understand that this sort of things might happened and avoid using the road.
it's not that this have not happened before. as i blog earlier, it happened in 2007 too, so why the police were not prepared eh? if they knew this sort of things will happen, they should station the light strike force unit at gurney drive! why so fast to station FRU at the candle-light anti ISA vigil when the vigiliers were not ever going to get rowdy but cant' station light strike force at a time when revellers might turn rowdy. if the police do not want such ugly incident to occur again, maybe they can make it an offense for revellers to carry spray can. of course i know this won't stop the revellers from secretly carrying the cans or the revellers can use other 'weapons' (eg sticks, plastic bags and so on) but at least this will lesson the 'wild' action the revellers going to take.
i won't be so angry if this happened on new year's eve but to happen on christmas eve? christmas and new year are totally different! new year's eve – you welcome the new year, christmas eve -
what are you welcoming? yes you are welcoming christmas… but for what purpose? nothing but just to have fun! yes understandable for new year – to have fun but christmas is a religious festival, why hijack it to have such disgusting fun! yes if you have fun among yourselves it's ok but not to the extend of attacking people.
well it seems that now the police said they are ready – the have issued warning to penangites to behave during new year's eve. good. i hope they will station lots and lots of men from the light strike force at gurney drive and esplanade, and i hope if there are trouble-makers, all of them will be caught and throw into jail!
GEORGE TOWN: The usually rowdy Chris
Christmas eve celebration in Penang turned uglier than ever this year with two Rela members being punched, kicked and attacked with helmets by revellers.
A Bernama TV cameraman was also punched on the lips and pressmen were shoved by unruly revellers who sprayed aerosol foam on motorists and banged passing vehicles at Gurney Drive.
Light Strike Force members then had to intervene in one of the ugliest "celebrations" in the state in recent years.
A group of about 10 men bashed up the Rela members who had earlier hauled up one of their friends for giving passing vehicles a good "shake".
They threw punches and kicked the Rela members in their apparent bid to free their friend, in his 20s, from being detained in the 12.30am incident on Friday.
The attacks took place while the Rela members and a plainclothes policeman were on their way to hand over the suspect to a nearby police base.
The attack which lasted several minutes only ended when the Light Strike Force unit, policemen and other Rela members moved in.
George Town acting OCPD Supt Gan Kong Meng said a 17-year-old factory worker was detained after the incident.
He said five police roadblocks were conducted that day to keep the situation in check.
Passers-by were stunned by the brazen attack on Rela members.
Even pressmen on duty were not spared as some were shoved by the revellers. They were later escorted away from the scene by police for safety reasons.
Bernama TV cameraman Gary Yeap, 20, lodged a police report at the Patani Road police station, claiming that he was punched on the lip.
Yeap said the man also threatened to harm him if the footage of the scene was shown on television.
At the stroke of midnight, thousands lined the popular sea front promenade, with many behaving wildly.
Traffic came almost to a standstill as the road was choked with revellers.
Youths holding snow spray cans sprayed foam onto the windscreens and side windows of passing motorists.
Some even lifted the windscreen wipers to prevent drivers from sweeping away the foam.
Supt Gan said more policemen would be deployed in hot spots and would be beefed up during New Year's eve.

Christmas is over, well not really cos we all know there is actually twelve days of Christmas and if you ask my best buddy, he'd swear that there was actually 365 days of Christmas ... LOL! My Christmas was pretty lacklustre. There were moments of absolute joy and then there were moments of absolute boredom!
With Christmas proper out of the way, the whole world will be looking forward (or at least I hope they are) for the New Year. I know I am. The year has been an up and down one with mostly more downs and I'm hoping and praying that the coming 2010 will be a much more fruitful one.
I've had so many obstacles and challenges thrown in my way that there were times when I felt like I couldn't overcome them. It felt like the world was conspiring against me. The sentence 'it's a conspiracy' is something my readers for my Spiffy blog would be more familiar with but that's the way I felt. Like there was someone conspiring to break my will and spirits.
But I pushed on, no matter how hard and difficult it was to overcome everything. I had one ace in the hole that the world could never begin to compete with, which was having wifey by my side to help me through the difficult times. She's been my source of inspiration for almost everything I do and I'm glad that she's mine :D
Anyways, moving away from being all soppy and cheesy ... hehehe ... I for one am really looking forward to the new year. I don't have any new years resolutions and I normally don't make them cos I can never keep them. In the past, I've made tons and tons of resolutions that could be made into a TV series, seriously.
I mean, knowing the kind of person that I am, how to you expect me to keep a resolution like 'I shall resolve not to criticize anyone' ... LOL! Like as if that will ever happen! Or even 'I shall resolve not to get mad at idiots' ... with the amount of idiots we have in this world, how in heavens name would I be able to keep a resolution like that?
See what I mean about trying to make and keep resolutions? What about you guys? Do you make a list of resolutions every year and do you somehow manage to keep them? Tell me, tell me, I'd like to know :D And I promise I won't laugh at them ... well, not too loud anyway ... LOL!
And in line with the coming New Year, here's my choice of song for Music Monday. Yes, I know! I'm actually still taking part in it. It's shocking isn't it? LOL!
This song simply called 'Happy New Year' was recorded by the all famous group ABBA (and if you don't know who they are, please crawl back under that rock you came from ... LOL!) in 1980 from their album 'Super Trouper'. The song had a working title which was rather humorously called 'Daddy Don't Get Drunk on Christmas Day'.
So, if I don't get a chance to wish you all personally in your blogs on New Years day, let me take this opportunity to wish you guys a Happy and Wonderful 2010 :D Oh and I also hope all the fighting will cease (Yeah, right). Once can always hope, right?
Oh and Gott Nytt År means Happy New Year in Swedish, just in case you're wondering. Or at least that's what the translation came out as :D
PS: Because of spamming purposes, the linky will be closed on Thursday of each week at midnight, Malaysian Time. Thank you!

Let's talk about Christmas' Eve. This year's Christmas Eve was a little bit tired for me because I woke up early in the morning and out until midnight. In Malaysia, or my place, Penang, Christmas' Eve is more happenings than Christmas Day. People here like countdown and they have all their Christmas party on the Christmas' Eve.
Yiphing and Arron.
I woke up early morning that day to join my friends for a dim sum breakfast in town. Later then went to Prangin Mall with Arron, Zhen Yuan, Zez and Yiphing to buy Christmas present.
Zhen Yuan, Arron.
Prangin Mall was pretty quiet in the morning, close to noon. I bought some books and DVD at there then just walk around with them. I didn't want to go home and just sit in front of the computer.
While walking around the mall, we met our very cool friend, Boon Hooi who is now working at SUB boutique. He's getting so much cooler now with a coloured hair and working at a cool fashion shop. We teased him then we went home.
Arron and Zez Chien came to my place to take a shower before going to the next place which was karaoke at Red Box. It seems like every year's Christmas' Eve, I was at Karaoke, last year was, the year before was too and this year.
Ming Li, Yiwen, Caster, Him Keat, Min Xiang, Zhang Ying.
Zhang Ying and Boon Yan.
Only that this time Red Box was with different gang.

-TVS

Sebelum ini, seorang wartawan dibawah naungan NUJ pernah ditahan dibawah ISA selepas melaporkan ucapan berbaur perkauman seorang pemimpin Umno Pulau Pinang.
-TVS

Malaysiakini reported in 'Penang CM hit by sedition probe, DAP outraged' that Selangor police chief Khalid Abu Bakar also advised Lim Guan Eng not to make unfounded remarks about the case, which is being investigated in an inquest.
What unfounded remarks, Mr. Honourable Khalid?
How about the unfounded remarks made by MACC chief that Teoh committed suicide when the inquest was still ongoing? Read 'Teoh family outraged at MACC chief's suicide theory'.
Why the police and MACC seem to be working with each other to intimidate the wakil rakyat?
One thing for sure, the police must and never be intimidated but the wakil rakyat can and must be intimidated. Intimidating the wakil rakyat is essentially intimidating the rakyat.

Ahh… another long weekend gone. The last weekend ie 18th – 20th December, I was in KL to attend my school alumni dinner. This weekend I was back in KL again. My nephew's engagement was on Saturday in Kajang, so by Friday I was already at my brother's house in Damansara Jaya.
When I was in KL last weekend, Yati sent me a text message informing me that her husband AJ had been transferred from the CCU to the normal ward. She did mention how worried she was, looking at her husband's condition. Since the hospital's visiting hours had been shortened of late, I haven't had the opportunity to visit him at the hospital.
This week, another text message came, not from Yati but from my fellow volunteer who had been assigned as AJ's buddy. AJ died early morning on Christmas day at the hospital. I was already at my brother's house by the time the news reached me, so no, I didn't visit. I decided to send my condolences to Yati via SMS and I apologized to her for not being able to visit. I will probably check on her later. Knowing Yati, I think she'll cope. She already had plans to sell drinks to earn some income for herself and her children. And since she's staying with her mother, at least she doesn't have to worry about where to stay.
Since I so happened to be in KL this weekend, Mamasita, who also happened to be in KL for her son's engagement, arranged for some sort of get-together with a few bloggers on Sunday. It was supposed to be a brunch affair, but the place she chose, a Korean restaurant, only opens at 11.30 am.
I wasn't really sure where the restaurant was located – while I knew how to get to OU, within OU itself wasn't familiar territory to me. So yep, me being me, I was early – the first one there. After finding out the location of the restaurant, I decided to ronda-ronda for a while before going back to the restaurant to meet up with the rest. As I was walking over to ronda-ronda, I saw a familiar looking lady. It was Dalilah aka Raden Galoh. Yayy! Got friend to chat with while waiting for the rest to come.
Whie I was chatting with Dalilah, a text message came in. It was from the organiser, Mamasita, informing me that she was already on the way and telling me to "tunggu jap!" For a while there I was thinking of replying her SMS to tell her that since nobody was around, I went back… :-) But in the end I decided to be a good girl…
After a while there she was… the ever smiling Mamasita… only this time I managed to catch her off guard, so this pic comes without her "iklan ubat gigi" smile… hehehe…
A few minutes later, Dr Rohaya, or better known as Raw, got there. Raw is Mamasita's sis-in-law and also my junior in school, in fact we were both in the same school debating team many many moons ago.
And then the lady bloggers (plus a few husbands/sons who decided to sit at another table nearby) started trickling in. It was my first time meeting Desert Rose and Edelweiss.
Then came Kak Teh from London and Shahieda from Capetown. Waah… international bloggers meet lah this!
Tireless Mom dropped by for a while with her kids (tireless kids?) but they didn't join us for lunch as they were going off to attend a kenduri somewhere. Kak Puteri Kama came later after I was getting bloody fool… oops, I meant bloody full…
Dengan penuh semangat Kak Puteri bercerita, apa jugalah dikelentongnya Dalilah tu!Blogger Zendra came by when I was almost leaving. By 1.30 pm, I decided to make a move as I was planning to drive back to Ipoh after zohor. It wasn't an easy task… the peluk-cium goodbyes took some time, and to add to that, masa tu lah masing-masing nak bergambar… including our Choc-a-blog kakak here from London…
It was nice to have met you wonderful ladies. Glad to know that this orang Perak was not the only peghak one around who was trying to figure out how to eat the Korean food... hahaha!

Memang betul pun kata seorang penulis (GB terlupa siapa beliau), bahawa ramai pemimpin PAS kena pergi kursus kepimpinan dan kursus membuat kenyataan media.

Yikhung is my brother and I don't know why I took so many photos of him at 1Utama shopping mall. This was on my very short Kuala Lumpur trip. It's a long time I didn't go to 1Utama already, the time before this time was like when I was Form 2, 3 years ago. That's quite a long time. Still remember I last time went there to look for Nintendo DS but did not buy it home.
Something random first. 1116 was my hotel room at One World Hotel. The hotel is nice but one sad thing is there's no free internet service provided for my room and 3G connection at the place sucks during my visit.
My brother in the hotel room. Pretty big with 2 queen-sized bed.
View from the hotel is not pretty.
At the hotel.
As stated from the stall, Korean Big Chicken Satay. The sauce was nice, the chicken meat so-so only.
Free cups of coffee from Starbucks on their anniversary day.

A week before Christmas, I went to Kuala Lumpur with my family. It was a very surprised and sudden trip, I did not know about it long time before, I only knew about it the day before. Dad wanted to go check out an exhibition at KLCC so he brought us along and it became our shopping trip.
Woke up at 8 that morning, got prepared and started our car trip at around 9.30am. I brought books along to read in the care to prevent boredom but then I slept all the way in the car. We stopped at Ipoh for brunch because we did not eat anything in the morning, I only had a glass of milk.
The traffic was nice, cruising along the new highway is nice because there's no toll stop, we only had to pay toll after coming out from Penang Island and when going into Ipoh.
Something's wrong with the Internet connection on that day, every thing was so slow. We tried to look on the Google Maps to find the Ipoh famous beansprout chicken but it took like forever, so my brother who was also the driver just simply drive around hoping to find the way to it. After a few turns, we found the place. It's not very hard to find afterall.
After brunch, we continued our way to Kuala Lumpur and reached at around 2pm. Very frustrated because so many places was jamming at that time, don't know why. Our first planned stop was Mid Valley City but because of traffic jam and parking-less, we went to 1 Utama Shopping Mall.
We also found hotel at 1 Utama Shopping Mall, it's called One World Hotel, didn't feel like looking around for hotel so we checked into that hotel for a night stay.

I'm back to campus. What should I do?
1. Finish my research, which I haven't started yet! (Other people already half way). I have to postpone my research project because I want to go back home. I have been away from home quite long time, not like my other coursemates where they can go back easily by bus. Sorry, my supervisor, he he he he. I'll sacrifice my time after this. Sigh.
2. New Year countdown with my friends at church compound. (supposedly having BBQ)
3. Christmas Open Room specially to my coursemates. (sorry, I didn't bring any layer cakes and I love ''menjamu'' my friends. Ha ha ha ha)
4. I must go Pulau Redang before graduate (alive)
5. Lose my weight. Ha ha ha ha.

I guess I am in holiday right now, doing stuff and going places randomly, don't really have a job or a typical thing to do. It's sit back, relax and enjoy. 3 days before Christmas day is also Winter Solstice. This year our family did not sit down and eat together because my dad went into the hospital for an operation to get something out from the throat. I don't know what's that.
There's actually a plan of going to the national park at Teluk Bahang but it has been postponed due to someone couldn't make it on that day.
I went to the Botanical Garden early in the morning for fun jog. It's just serious jog, it's just joking around, enjoy fresh air and a little bit of jog. The nice thing, I sweated. =)
Botanical Garden is under major renovation at the front part, it looked like face destruction, I almost thought it's closed down and came to a wrong place. There's people charging RM1 for parking, I believe it's not official, so I recommend you to park by the roadside and take a little walk than paying RM1 that was FOC last time.
Went to a restaurant near Island Plaza for lunch.
It's a busy day because I was going in and out of the hospital to see my dad. Parking fee paid to the hospital accumulated to more than RM10. A very time wasting thing was, my dad was sent to the OR at 2.30pm but the doctor only start operating at 4.30pm like that. I was at the hospital at 5, expecting dad to be out, but actually the doctor just started his work. OMG.
Went to the mall while dad was in the OR. Very boring, nothing to buy and do there, so just roam around while waiting mom to finish her work and come and fetch me back to the hospital.
Went to the hospital again at night and dad was fine. The thing that got out shaped like a ball, as big as a Ferrero Rocher. No idea what that is, it's just something cool but not good. I suspect the hospital added some kind of chemical in their AC, I always felt so sleepy at the hospital, but just when I got home, I became energized again. Weird.

SUMBER
