Zulkifli Claims PKR Disciplinary Board Plans To Sack Him
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 16 (Bernama) -- The Member of Parliament for Kulim-Bandar Baharu, Zulkifli Noordin, is questioning the motive of the Disciplinary Board of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) in fixing the date of the hearing on his case on Thursday when he would be in Korea to attend the International Leadership Conference.
(Read more @ BERNAMA)

To a question 'Which party is closest to your ideology?' that was posed in a recent interview with Malaysiakini, Zul replied, "I am not interested in political parties. I prefer Islamic-based NGOs because I know the world works like this: If you join an (opposition) political party, half of the Muslims will not be with you because they are with Umno.(It would be the same if you join Umno because half of the Muslims would be with opposition parties.) So (membership) would be a disadvantage."

Firaun Kecil Yang Celupar Terhadap TGNA

Posted: 16 Feb 2010 07:57 AM PST

PERKASA – A MISGUIDED RIGHTS GROUP

Posted: 16 Feb 2010 05:57 AM PST

A friend called up to invite me to attend a gathering in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur this February 27, 2009 in support of PERKASA, a Malay rights group founded by one Datuk Ibrahim Ali. I remembered that name well; a fire-brand Malay politician from Kelantan (is neither an UMNO or a PAS party member) who is now left without any political base to shove his wavering political career.

When the name Ibrahim Ali was mentioned, I said to my friend that I have no liking for him, and if he (Ibrahim Ali) is sincere in his cause to champion the Malay rights, he does not need PERKASA. He could have done it in his capacity as a member of parliament, of which he is one. Why than does he need PERKASA is something that I could not fathom. Anyway, I do not trust politicians heading an NGO or rights group.

Being a politician without any significant political base and who is likely to be ousted in the next general election, I think he needs PERKASA more than any other Malays. And if it is true that his argument to form PERKASA is to champion the cause of Malay rights, why than do we need UMNO? Isn't UMNO the 'outfit' to do the championing, or has UMNO lost that cause, and has instead being relegated to a toothless Malay political party?

I sense something strange in this person named Ibrahim Ali. I believe it is not about championing Malay rights which he says is slowly eroding. Does he not know that the Malay rights are well entrenched in the constitution? What is eroding is the support that people has for him, and this has caused him to fear losing a place in national politics and to be thrown into oblivion come the next general elections. I am sure his constituents in Kelantan have had enough of his antics that are filled with rhetoric, and less of substance.

I apologized to my friend that I will not make it for the gathering, and my presence or absence will not be a lost to Ibrahim Ali himself. I think I have greater things to do that day than to listen to some misguided politicians whom I have little regards for.

Queue Jumping at the Highways

Looking south above Interstate 80, the Eastsho...Image via Wikipedia
I read in the news today that the police had been stationed along the highways to summon Q jumpers. In fact beside issuing the drivers with summons they were also delayed for a further 10 minutes as a penalty for driving along the emergency lane. I applaud the move but its not enough to just do it during the long holidays.

Usually when I drive during the weekends or even the wekdays, particularly when there is a heavy traffic on the highways, there will always be these drivers who make it their business to drive along the emergency lane. How I wish that the policemen were stationed there and then.
Look at the picture on the left... fat chance that this is the Malaysian highway... look again, besides the cars are on the wrong side of the road, no cars on the emergency lanes.

Malaysia's Richest Record Better Fortunes Last Year, Magazine Survey Reveals

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 16 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's 40 richest people recorded an increase in their fortunes as they were collectively worth RM156.7 billion as at Jan 15, or 63 per cent more than the RM96.3 billion a year ago, on the back of a recovery in the stock market, a "Malaysian Business" survey reveals.

However, according to the fortnightly magazine's survey results released in a statement Tuesday, their combined wealth was still less than the RM171.9 billion recorded in 2008.

The benchmark FBM KLCI has risen 44.3 per cent since its last survey as the world strives to get back on its feet following the global financial crisis.

The full list of the 40 tycoons and details of their wealth were published in the magazine's Feb 16 issue. As in the previous year, the wealth of the Top 40 was assessed based on the value of their stakes in listed companies as at Jan 15 this year.

The survey also revealed that close to half on this year's list recorded jumps of 50 per cent or more. There are also more billionaires this year - 22, eight more than last year.

Tan Sri Robert Kuok, the Kuok Group patriarch who relinquished his "Sugar King" crown last year, still tops the list with a wealth of RM42.76 billion, up RM16.1 billion from RM26.6 billion a year ago.

Media-shy and telecommunication tycoon Ananda Krishnan ranked second, clocking in at RM27 billion.

IOI Corporation Bhd's Tan Sri Lee Shin Chen was third with a wealth of RM11.92 billion, followed by prominent banker Tan Sri Teh Hong Piow at RM10.86 billion.

Genting Group's Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, valued at RM10.38 billion, leapt a full 10 spots to five. This was because he assumed a large chunk of the wealth of his late father, Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong.

Hong Leong Group's Tan Sri Quek Leng Chan took the sixth spot at RM7.09 billion while Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Albukhary of the Albukhary Foundation, valued at RM6.01 billion, settled at seventh.

Others in the Top-10 ranking were Lim Goh Tong's widow Puan Sri Lee Kim Hua, Tan Sri Tiong Hiew King of Rimbunan Hijau Group and Tan Sri Vincent Tan of Berjaya Group.

There were five newcomers to the list, namely Lee Swee Eng of KNM Group, brothers Datuk Shahril Shamsuddin and Shahriman Shamsuddin of Sapura, Datuk Seri Nazir Razak of CIMB Group and OSK Holdings' Ong Leong Huat, who makes a comeback to the list after a one-year absence.

Keputusan hukuman sebat Kartika selepas menghadap Tengku Abdullah

Posted: 16 Feb 2010 03:56 AM PST

— Bernama

Operasi Hari Kekasih, 52 Termasuk Pelajar IPTA Ditahan

Posted: 16 Feb 2010 03:29 AM PST

Gelagat manusia mengamalkan hubungan intim bebas tanpa ikatan sah ditambah sempena Hari Valentine di ibu kota kerap mengundang rasa gelisah pelbagai pihak.

Laporan : erapakatan Video : Edisi 7

Pakatan Rakyat Sedang Melalui Evolusi Politik (updated)

Posted: 16 Feb 2010 03:50 AM PST

Charity begins at home

Posted: 16 Feb 2010 03:20 AM PST

In Islam, like most of the other religions and I think most of the civilized people around the world, we all honoured and give respect to our guests. It is a very rare opportunity for most of the religions to get a chance to offer shelter and food.

The merits of looking after the guests are same as donating the orphans and poor. Orphans and poor are taken care by Malaysian government and various NGOs, at least for basic needs. Nowadays we all knew that not al beggars are poor or genuine. Even the handicapped, disfigured and children were used by syndicates. there is a will there is a way for them to work and earn for their living. Some of us are genuinely afraid that our easy donating would encourage more people to join the bandwagon or push their slave masters to recruit more beggar-workers.

Once some guests visited our Prophet's  (pbuh) companions. The host have just enough food for themselves so instead of just sharing the food the host pretended that they had just finished eating and feed all the food to the guests. Although no one tell the Prophet (pbuh), that incidence was reported  to him by the Gabriel, praised his companions for their sacrifice and confirmed that Allah would reward them.

I had read some where that our Prophet would always order to cook extra (about 20 persons?) and sometimes eat late just waiting for someone to come as a guest. He refused to eat early without the company of a guest.

Please read this like here_

Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) loved Hadrat Ali because he was a very charitable person. Once when Imam Hasan (Rady Allahu Anhu) and Imam Husain (Rady Allahu Anhu) were ill, Hadrat Ali and Bibi Fatima made a vow that, after their two sons recover, they will fast for three days. Allah Ta'ala then blessed their children with good health. So now Hadrat Ali and Bibi Fatima had to fast. When their fast was completed and Hadrat Ali (Rady Allahu Anhu) came back from the Masjid after performing Magrib Salat, the family sat down for dinner. As soon as Hadrat Ali Rady Allahu Anhu picked up the bread in his hand he heard a voice of a beggar saying "Give me some thing to eat and may Allah Ta'laa feed you with delicious food of Jannah!" When they heard the beggar they decided that they should give him the bread.

On the second fast, when Hadrat Ali (Rady Allahu Anhu) came back from the Masjid after praying the Magrib salah, the family sat down for dinner, when they heard a voice of an orphan from outside who asked for food and said that he was very poor and alone in the world. So again they gave him the bread and broke their fast with water.

On their last fast, when Hadrat Ali came back from the Masjid after performing Magrib Salah the family sat down for dinner, they heard a voice of a prisoner, who asked for help and said that he was in great distress. So they gave him the bread and again they went to bed without any food.

On the fourth day no one was fasting, but they had nothing to eat. So Hadrat Ali (Rady Allahu Anhu) then took Imam Hasan (Rady Allahu Anhu) and Imam Husain (Rady Allahu Anhu) to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, "It pains me to see you suffering from want and misery. Let us go to Fatima (Rady Allahu Anha)". When Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) went to Bibi Fatima (Rady Allahu Anha) and saw that she was observing Nafl salaat. Her eyes had sunk in, and her stomach had drawn close to her back, from excessive starvation. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) took her and invoked Allah's mercy for her and her family.

At this, Jibreel (Alayhissalam) came with revelation of the verses of the Qur'an. The meaning of the verse of the Qur'an is
"And they give food out of love for Him to the poor and the orphan and the captive." (76:8)

Jibreel (Alayhissalam) then congratulated them saying Allah Ta`ala was very pleased with them. And that's how much charitable Sayyidina Ali (Rady Allahu Anhu) and Bibi Fatima (Rady Allahu Anha) were.

How Strong is your Password?

This is common knowledge; you should use a combination of alphabets, numerical digits, and special characters (!, @) to create strong passwords. Yet, the most commonly used password on the Internet is 123456 followed by 12345 – see full list.

The following visualization courtesy CXO categorizes some of the popular passwords based on their strength – it might appear a little funny but lot of people are actually using such simple, easy-to-guess passwords for their online accounts.

NOR YACOB – PLEASE RESIGN

Posted: 16 Feb 2010 12:34 AM PST

Nor Yacob – I have this to say to you…….resign and take full responsibility for the most idiotic act of your Political Secretary, Hasbie Sattar. No right thinking Malaysian would believe that you are not in the know as to what your Political Secretary has been doing to enrich himself. Regardless of whether you know or you do not know about the RM2 million, and the enormous wealth Hasbie had accumulated in the period that he was the Political Secretary, the damage to your good name and office is bad enough for you not to remain in public office any longer. Hasbie has brought you shame and the shame is hurting the offices of your other colleagues in government, and in particular to the party that you belong……..UMNO.

The shameful act of Hasbie will only reinforce public perception that UMNO is corrupt, and if the due process of law is not taken against Hasbie speedily, leaders in UMNO and in particular PM Najib, will be seen as a weakling, without the slightest desire and will to fight corruption, and this will further strengthened the belief that corruption is now an embedded culture in UMNO.

The period where UMNO was seen as the champion of the Malay race is about to be over. It is now seen to champion individual causes rather than the Malay mass. Getting into UMNO politics is a sure route to richness, and Hasbie has proven to us all that in his 30's, he is already a wealthy person. And do you think that we, the older generation of Malays that have tasted the turbulent period of our country's history would want to show respect to a person like Hasbie. Certainly not this Hasbie fella, and I for one view him with despise and who had shamed the Malay race. My greatest sympathy to his parent who had raised him to be an exemplary son, but what the parent received in return is only shame.

There is already a theory in circulation that Hasbie has been framed, and that the money was 'planted' by someone out to discredit him and his minister. I don't buy such a theory for the simple reason that he was noted to have amassed properties beyond reasonable means earlier, and for which he has been under surveillance by the MACC. He must have felt the heat was already on him, but being a close aide to a senior minister, he thinks others are foolish and would not dare to act against him. Hasbie certainly hasn't taken the lesson from Norza who is also being charged for corruption, and coincidentally a former Political Secretary to the same minister, Nor Yacob. What a misfortune to have both his Political Secretaries being entangled in corruption.

Once again to you Nor Yacob, my brotherly advice is for you to resign from office. It will certainly hurt your ego, but I am sure people will respect you more for accepting responsibility for the misdeeds of Hasbie Sattar.

I'm Quitting Blogging!!!

Posted: 16 Feb 2010 01:20 AM PST

I am absolutely pissed off! And I mean big time! I wrote a nice loooonnnnggggg post about this dipping sauce making experience of mine, along with some pictures I took of it and kept it in draft. I accessed it today with the intention of posting it and things were fine while I was proof reading it.

Then just as I am about to post it, 'poof', it does a David Copperfield and disappears on me! ARGGGGGHHHHHHH!!! I am so pissed I could whack someone on the head! Even hitting the undo button didn't help one bit! And I spent quite a while drafting it too. You guys know how long winded I can be and to have a post like that go MIA is something that makes my blood boil!

That's it, I've had it with blogging! I'm giving up! Right after I finish this hgh releasers research that I'm doing, I'm going to delete my blog and pack my bags and go become a monk on some secluded island meditating all day long!

I've had it with technology. I'm going back to living in the days when people communicated with smoke signals! At least the only thing you had to worry about was the wind. So, if you want to read my blog from now on, just look out your window and that smoke you see in the distance will be my post updates! You just have to figure out how to read 'um smoke signals ... LOL!

Ok, ok, I shouldn't be laughing cos I'm pissed and you guys mighty think I'm not being serious about this. So, after you read this post, it will self destruct in 5 seconds. Don't say I didn't warn you.

... 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 ...

What? You're still reading this? It didn't self destruct? It's supposed to blow up! See what I told you about technology? It just doesn't work when you want it too. Ok, it's time to manually delete my blog! Bye bye cruel world! It's been good while it lasted!

P.S. - Urmmmmmm, maybe deleting my blog is a little too extreme la, after all where else can I go and bitch about lousy customer service, our 'intelligent' politicians, my life as a doofus and disappearing posts, right?

P.P.S. - Or is that PSS? Whatever! So you guys are still going to have to bear with me for a while longer ... LOL!

P.P.P.S - Is there even such a thing as PPPS? Besides it was my own fault the post got deleted anyway!
