china press hauled up over IGP quit story.

now, let's see you do that to utusan malaysia one day. what utusan did was even far far more more worst – very racist, very seditious and yes really true lies too – but yet the home minister did not take any action at all on utusan, why not even a word of warning.

then china press published the IGP is going to quit when the IGP said no he is not going to quit – whoosh!! so fast, just hours later, the home minister, kerismuddin issue a show cause letter to china press. what? that 'lie' will cause unrest to the country? it was a small matter if compare to all those racist/seditious comments utusan spewed out. now that will surely cause unrest!! but we all know he (and the other umnoputera) are practising double standard, we are living in 2malaysia, hence no action against the umno-controlled utusan.

if china press really published the 'lie', it deserved to be reprimanded of course but we question why utusan was not. and this was only a 'lie' that IGP resigned, why kerismuddin take it so seriously as though it is a lie that the IGP had died… so much so to issue a show cause letter.

i notice in  comments here and there and some news portal, a few people said "there is no smoke without fire". they think that for sure china press must have got this info from some source.  someone also said that perhaps it is true the IGP is going to hand in his resignation but before he can hand it in to the home minister, word got out, hence the news from china press. then kerismuddin was not happy so both he and the IGP quickly denied the news.

oh well, whatever. what stand out most among the comments is that almost everybody wants to see the IGP resigned!! his name has been linked to underworld figures. he, together with the AG was said to fabricate evidence against anwar ibrahim (but the court cleared him. of course. it's umno court).  he was said to have some trump card against the PM. all these – people were angry and do not wish him to be our police chief of the country!!  GO MAKE US HAPPY, RESIGN, MUSA!!

Bumiputra contractors got 100% of projects: Lim

By MANJIT KAUR

GEORGE TOWN: Under the state government's open tender system, Penang bumiputra contractors have secured 100% of the projects carried out by the state Public Works (PWD) and the Drainage and Irrigation (DID) departments.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the statistics provided by both departments showed that the state government did not discriminate based on race or religion but awarded the projects to capable contractors.
"The projects were awarded based on the contractors' abilities and not any political cable-pulling. A total of 134 contractors in this category were awarded more than RM9mil worth of projects by the DID last year.
"As for the PWD, 149 bumiputra contractors secured projects worth RM8mil," he told reporters before a closed-door meeting with several members of the Penang Class F bumiputra contractors association at his office in Komtar Friday.
Among those present were association chairman Tahir Jalaluddin Hussain and vice-chairman Zainul Abdul Malik Eusoff, Deputy Chief Minister 1 Mansor Othman and state executive councillor Abdul Malik Abul Kassim.
Tahir said the meeting was strictly based on business and had nothing to do with any political views, adding that he would discuss with Lim the problems faced by their members.

Those were, more or less, the words of the boss who came to serve the fried rice and collect money from me.

Very cheap? Yes, indeed. Where to find RM3 fried rice? Can anyone tell me? So I took three RM1 notes from my wallet and gave them to the boss. Interested to know where the place is? It is at the row of stalls along Jalan 19/3, Petaling Jaya near the roundabout where Lisa De Inn is.The stall is next to a fruit stall that is at the corner. You cannot miss it. Zahrain Terima Petisyen Rakyat Desak Letak Jawatan

Posted: 13 Mar 2010 07:12 AM PST

-SK

BN tradition: Election is near, go to the ground. After election, go to PLAYground!

March 13, 2010 15:40 PM
SIBU, March 13 (Bernama) -- Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud wants all state leaders to continue with the Barisan Nasional government's tradition of being always on the ground and close to the people.

"When they do so, they can motivate the people to be more positive in their outlook. They can also make them realise that what they enjoy is what they have worked for on the ground.

"Nothing can happen unless the people themselves want it to happen," he said when launching the two-day Rajang Regatta 2010 at the confluence of the Rajang and Gan rivers at the town square phase two esplanade, here, on Saturday.

The regatta, which makes a comeback after an absence of 14 years, features paddling events today and power boat events including the high speed F.3000 raceson Sunday.

The paddling events are re-introducing the shorter "Kenyalang" boat made of composite fibre and featuring the hornbill mastheads, instead of the traditional, long native boats.

Meanwhile, the imported power boat events are attracting many racers from Kuching as well as neighbouring Brunei.

Taib said leaders too should be able to engage the people in enjoying the progress and prosperity instead of being mere spectators.

He also reminded them that "there should be more agreements to do more things for the people rather than more disagreements where they will end up quarrelling among themselves".

"There is nothing to gain by being divided," he said.

"We should learn from our own experiences since 20 to 30 years ago where the great partnership between our people of different races, religions and backgrounds had yielded much better results for the country," he said.

Mohsin Enggan Kosongkan Kerusi Bagan Serai

Posted: 13 Mar 2010 04:52 AM PST

-MI

Sabah has NO future under BN

Posted: 13 Mar 2010 04:49 AM PST

From: "Ir. Hj. Othman bin Hj. Ahmad"
Subject: Many Sabahan homeless in KL

Those who dispute statistics that Sabah is among the poorest in the
whole world should take note of this fact.

Many were cheated by their employers. This is routine treatment to all
workers in the whole of Malaysia that share similar laws and their
enforcement, which made Malaysia, especially Sabah, the worst in Human Trafficking
i.e. SLAVERY.

http://www.dailyexpress.com.my/news.cfm?NewsID=70825

We've been proven right!

Kota Kinabalu: A Daily Express check in Kuala Lumpur confirmed many
homeless and jobless Sabahans there. They are mostly from rural areas
and depending on charitable organisations for survival.
This reporter met about 15 Sabahans and three Sarawakians who turned
up at the Archdiocesan Office for Human Development (AHOD) at Jalan
Bukit Nenas, Kuala Lumpur, last Friday.

AHOD, the official arm of the Catholic Church (in the Archdiocese of
Kuala Lumpur) is among non-governmental organisations providing free
food for the homeless in the nation's capital.

Officer-in-charge of AHOD, Carl D'Cunha, as well as Sabahan priest Fr
Valentine Gompok who is currently serving at the St Francis of Assisi
parish in Cheras, helped to arrange the meeting.

Also present was Anita Sani from Persatuan Momogun Malaysia who said
she would submit a report to the relevant authorities in Sabah for
further action.

Daily Express had on Jan. 18 exposed the presence of quite a number of
young people from East Malaysia, mostly from Sabah, stranded in the
nation's capital, roaming the streets and depending on free meals.

The expose came about following investigative reporting follow-ups
with other NGOs providing similar charitable services there, namely
Kechara Soup Kitchen Society and Street Fellowship at Klang Bus
Station.

Among the Sabahans who identified themselves as homeless were 33-year-
old Apai John from Kg Mantailang, Tenom; Nicklos Jusit (24) from
Kepayan Ridge, Kota Kinabalu; Ramsi Noing (30) from Mile 7, Tinusa 2,
Sandakan; Junik John (21) from Ranau; Mohd Fauzi Mahatin (24) from Kg
Desa Aman, Kundasang; Syukri Ober (24) from Kunak; Bally Balingi (24)
from Kg Paguokon, Tenom; Sahadan Saidin (23) from Anjung Teduh, Felda
Sahabat 1, Lahad Datu; Rejis Jais (24) from Kota Marudu; Hermis Saimin
(19) from Ranau; Martin Majari (35) from Kg Bambangan in Pitas; Abdul
Asintu (30) from Sandakan; and Prislu Sapsin (35) from Beluran.

Another Sabahan from Tambunan turned up for the free meal but declined
to join the meeting. Half of them expressed desire to return to Sabah
when they had the money while the rest hoped to stay on for a while to
see if their fortunes improved.

The Sarawakians who joined in included a 17-year-old girl Angira ak
Dolkit from Kampung Serikin in Bau; Ritzman G. Clerk (38) from Sri
Aman and Seling ak Dian from Kapit. They said they slept anywhere that
was comfortable.

According to Carl, AHOD looks into the food aspects of about 30 or so
young people from East Malaysia.

Apai, considered one of the "seniors", has guided about 15 Sabahans
who he found stranded in various parts of KL to places such as AHOD
where they at least get free meals. He admitted being jobless and
homeless in Kuala Lumpur for about four to five years now.

"In Kuala Lumpur, there are many homeless Sabahans, (easily) more than
a hundred and maybe 300 to 400. You can find them in many places like
Masjid India, Daya Bumi, Klang Bus Station and Bukit NenasÉini yang
betul-betul merempat, yang tiada rumah, tiada apa semua (these are
truly homeless, do not have a home, do not have anything at all)," he
said.

According to him, most came to the peninsula following private job
recruitment agents but ended up cheated by these agents or those
employing them. Others followed their Sabahan friends already there,
hoping to find work but after some time either quit due to social
problems.

As for Apai, mixing with the wrong people caused him to be in this
situation. He came to the peninsula about 13 years ago and did various
jobs, including as a security guard, contract worker and factory
worker.

Apai said people like him sleep either along the roadsides, parks or
at buildings like Daya Bumi or the Puduraya bus terminal. He said
although all those from Sabah do not sleep at the same place every
night, their daily routine is similar.

"Normally, we will go to another church near a bus stand in Klang
which is open at about 10am daily and closes at 5pm for our free
morning breakfast and lunch," he said.

After that, he said they would go their separate ways, some to meet
other friends or to look for another place to spend the night.

"Sometimes I will follow friends and look for workÉthis way we can get
part-time jobs. This is routine for us everyday."

Because the charity centres only provide meals during daytime, dinner
requires going to behind fast food outlets, usually KFC, or similar
premise to salvage discarded leftover food they can eat from rubbish
bins.

"We look for any leftover food still eatable that we can find in the
rubbish bins of these premisesÉkira okay la, boleh juga (it's okay,
still can)," he said, adding that the homeless people from other
states also do likewise.

However, he said they (homeless, including from different states)
never fight over the leftover food at these premises because "sama-
sama faham (mutually understand each other)".

Apai, whose family once lodged a missing person report back in Tenom,
said for personal hygiene, he would normally go to the nearest mosque
to bathe. When nature calls and if he does not have any money, he will
relieve himself at any secluded place he can find. Admitting it is
hard to be homeless and jobless in the nation's capital without any
place to turn to for assistance, he hoped the Government will help
people like them.

During the meeting, Fr Valentine provided them consultation while
Anita recorded their particulars for further action by the Sabah State
Government. Anita, who is based in Kuala Lumpur, claimed to have been
directed by the authorities in Sabah after Daily Express broke the
story.

She said the directive came after a meeting held a week earlier
involving various parties.

She also took down the particulars of those who wished to return to
Sabah.

Most of those present admitted have been involved in drugs but have
since repented.

Many still had their MyKad with them while a few others were holding
temporary identification documents after losing theirs to snatch
thieves or to former employers.

Musa Hassan Sepatutnya Letak Jawatan Bukan Nafi Letak Jawatan

Posted: 13 Mar 2010 04:08 AM PST

Musa Liabiliti Kepada Najib, Perlu Letak Jawatan

SHAH ALAM 13 Mac - Tindakan Ketua Polis Negara, Tan Sri Musa Hassan menafikan beliau meletakkan jawatan menguatkan spekulasi terdapat usaha terancang menyingkirkan beliau sebagai Ketua Polis Negara.

- Suara Keadilan

Matta Fair Twenty Ten

Posted: 13 Mar 2010 01:45 AM PST

I went to Matta Fair Twenty Ten this morning... Wanted to get a nice vacation package out of Malaysia... Destination: Vietnam. Why i choose Vietnam? Coz i have free accommodation in Ho Chi Ming city... my brother in law and sis are staying there at this moment. I'm looking for a Six to Seven days trip @ Sept 2010 during the Raya time.

But ended up i din buy any package for this as i couldn't confirm whether my sis will be back during the Raya time. Moreover, i don't know whether i would be switching job or not... *sob sob*

So, i bet many of you just wonder how's the package offer... Errrr... it's not as good as few years back when i bought my trip to Bali. Everything seems like so soooo sooooo expensive. There was so crowded and we couldn't even approached some of the desk for info.

Hiccup #1: There were no signboard to direct us to ticketing counter before going into the exhibition hall. So we went up straight and later we have to go down again to get the ticket... &%$$%$###$% to the organizer. Not only us, a lot of people only realized when they approached the entrance.

Hiccup #2: All the credit card sales person are so aggressive... They were approaching like a bee. hehehe... maybe I was projected as the potential customers to them... So many of them approached me to ask for signing up their credit card... Is it good or bad?

Hiccup #3: The place that sell food was so pack until we decided not to have any food and just got ourselves out from the place... We were so hungry at the time... No one dare to come near me ... "A hungry man is an angry man"

Hiccup #4: Basically, you would bump into so many friends that you knew in this travel fair... so if you don't wanna people to know you are going anywhere, please don't go to this place.

Hiccup #5: One unique encountered... the human traffic jam as some of the inconsiderate people just jammed up the place by discussing their great travel plan in the middle of the hall way... Imagine everyone just stuck in between... And you need to shout "EXCUSE ME!" or just gave them a BIG push... which ever works... which one is better? It's up to your choice!

Anyway, all i got from the Matta Fair today was a 2D/1N Port Dickson Eagle Ranch stay with all the sport activities included... I'm going to have a horse riding soon... Hopefully this package will be a nice package.

If you do visit the Matta Fair... what do you think about this year fair?

Kerajaan Beli Masa Untuk Bentangkan GST Kerana Tentangan Rakyat

Posted: 13 Mar 2010 03:53 AM PST

"Kami mahu pandangan umum (rakyat).

Benjy Hadapi Hukuman Mandatori, Ibunya Azean Nafi Anaknya Terlibat Edar Dadah

Posted: 13 Mar 2010 03:17 AM PST

-MSTAR

Went to KL to Check Out MIFF with Dad

Last weekend, there's a exhibition/expo happened in the capital, Kuala Lumpur. It's the Malaysia International Furniture Fair. Dad is in part of the furnishing business so he brought us along to Kuala Lumpur. Usually, going there would be more likely a shopping trip for me and mommy but somehow, I didn't really buy anything. It's more like a business-acompany trip, nothing to buy actually and there's no sale in Malaysia.

IMG_6900 by nicholaschan.

To be honest, I am not really into the furniture and related expo, I only interested in something like Electronic Gaming Expo or the Consumer Electronics Show, Tokyo Game Show or perhaps the Taiwan Computex. They're cool and bombastic gadgets show, which I like! Somehow, I need to be interested in furniture because I will be doing interior design course in college. Yeah.

Quite a lovely rainy day in Kuala Lumpur, it rained so big, the cats and dogs type of rain, it's nice because it had been very hot weather since Chinese New Year. Temperature here in Malaysia is sky rocket high.

IMG_6909 by nicholaschan.

It's interesting that the MIFF was not located on one venue only, it's spread out to 3 convention hall, the KLCC, PWTC and MECC. I didn't really have the feel to tour KL so was just following daddy here and there to do his business.

After finish touring the exhibition hall, we went to check-in at the hotel. We stayed at Concorde. It's a walk-in as I tried to book hotel but many hotels were fully booked and it's quite last minute too. Thankfully, there's still room in Concorde.

Penang also got Jalan P. Ramlee.

We then walked to Avenue K which just right opposite KLCC. From the hotel to Avenue K is like 15 minutes away only, very close, and passed by the night life district.

Have been to KL for so many times, been shopping in Suria KLCC for so many times and it's my first time getting so close to KLCC, right below it. I now only believe that it's so magnificent even though it's not the tallest now. Still, it's the tallest STAINLESS STEEL TWIN tower in the world. ^^

Avenue K is actually a shopping mall, but then no idea why, there's no shop inside. There's only a few restaurant and we went there for dinner. I actually visited the supercondo above Avenue K before, it was like last year. =)

After dinner, I went to Suria KLCC to window shop a while because it's still early and I didn't want to go back to the hotel so soon, as there's no Internet access also. So might as well stay outside a little while longer. Only then we walked back to the hotel. Then sleep. ^^

Tragedi Natrah Dedah Tembelang Umno

Posted: 13 Mar 2010 02:37 AM PST

Gagal meraih sokongan orang Melayu dalam isu kalimah Allah, Umno-Barisan Nasional yang semakin tersepit, kali ini cuba memutar belit sejarah dengan memperalatkan sentimen agama, khususnya Tragedi Natrah.

Umno berlagak seolah-olah menjadi wira apabila membangkitkan isu Natrah yang kononnya menjadi titik tolak perpaduan di kalangan Melayu dalam mempertahankan kesucian Islam.

Sebaliknya, tindakan membangkitkan tragedi itu hanya membuka tembelang mereka berikutan umum mengetahui Umno lepas tangan ketika ramai tokoh pembangkang berjuang ketika mempertahankan akidah Natrah.

Mengikut buku berkenaan, Presiden Umno ketika itu, Datuk Onn Jaafar enggan campur tangan kerana menganggap ia bukan isu politik, sosial mahupun keagamaan.

— Bernama

Akad sambil pandu kereta

Meskipun pernikahan terbabit mungkin sah mengikut syarak, namun tindakan menikahkan budak berusia 10 tahun menjadi kesalahan mengikut undang-undang syariah kerana masih di bawah umur.
