Under the 1Malaysia blanket cover, every Malaysian perceives

Posted: 02 Apr 2010 10:23 AM PDT

Under the 1Malaysia blanket cover, every Malaysian perceives himself or herself as Malaysian first, and by race, religion, geographical region or socio-economic background second.

So now from the very top we are hearing that Race supercede Nationality. So when Lee Chong Wei battle his hearts out in the All England, it is not for Malaysia. It is for the Chinese. And when M. Magendran and N. Mohanadas reached the of summit of Mount Everest and planted the Jalur Gemilang there, it is also not for Malaysia. It is for the Indians. We can now kiss goodbye to all the hullaballoo of 1Malaysia.

It is all artificial and unreal of 1Malaysia when damaging statements are made as to the superiority of one race over another. Belligerent personalities are on the warpath demanding that the status quo of one race to be maintained and never to be questioned. There is no such thing as equal rights as the demand for special privileges are not to be questioned. Woe betide thee if is questioned. Not even a murmur lest a thousand bricks fall on you. There you go again the merry go round of nation building. Just as NEM was about to take flight to uphold 1Malaysia wardrums and siren were sounded to give way to the warlords warning not to upset the pillars of NEP.

There again. The foundation of 1Malaysia is quivering. It remains unstable as ever.

Sayings of Jesus on the cross - The seven sayings of Jesus on the cross -

Posted: 02 Apr 2010 10:06 AM PDT

Did you know about the seven sayings of Jesus on the cross? They are are a traditional collection of seven short phrases that Jesus uttered at his crucifixion immediately before he died, gathered from the four Gospels.

The traditional order of the sayings is:
  1. Father forgive them, for they know not what they do (Luke 23:34).
  2. Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise (Luke 23:43).
  3. Woman, behold your son: behold your mother (John 19:26-27).
  4. Eli Eli lama sabachthani? ("My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?", Matthew 27:46 and Mark 15:34).
  5. I thirst (John 19:28).
  6. It is finished (John 19:30).
  7. Father, into your hands I commit my spirit (Luke 23:46).

DBKL Hanya Lulus Permohonan UMNO, Tolak Semua Permohonan PR

Posted: 02 Apr 2010 08:52 AM PDT

-SK

Push for Sabah, S'wak's independence: Next stop UN

Posted: 02 Apr 2010 07:41 AM PDT

By Athi Shankar

GEORGE TOWN: A group of prominent politicians and social activists from East Malaysia are seriously contemplating pulling out Sabah and Sarawak from the Federation of Malaysia.

They are planning to take up their case to the United Nations to hold a referendum on the status of the Borneo states as independent nations.

They no longer want their states to be under the clutches of the Umno-led Putrajaya administration.

The group has already sought legal advice from the international community to explore all orderly and democratic means to legally declare Sabah and Sarawak as separate sovereign states.

Sources said the group was keen to avoid any civil unrest, bloodshed and armed conflict with the central government, features usually associated with separatist movements.

"They want to resolve the pressing issue by peaceful and civilised means," said the source.

It's learnt that about seven representatives from the group met London-based Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) chairman P Waytha Moorthy in Indonesia early this week to discuss the matter.

Sources close to the group said the activists sought Waytha Moorthy's help to facilitate their imminent representation in the UN.

It's learnt that Waytha Moorthy had agreed to assist them, with the help of several influential international organisations.

Waytha Moorthy recently facilitated a group of activists to air their grouses and grievances against the federal government at the UK Parliament.

'Systematic looting and plundering'

The group of activists are deeply perturbed by the federal government's alleged violations of the states' rights, interests and benefits for more than four decades since the formation of the Federation of Malaysia in 1963.

"The group is angry over the systematic looting and plundering of the states' wealth by Umno and its cronies," said a source.

Sabah, Sarawak, Malaya and Singapore formerly joined Malaysia in 1963. However, Singapore left the Federation in 1965.

The Sabah and Sarawak activists believe that just like Singapore, their states too can pull out from Malaysia.

Sabah and Sarawak are two natural resources rich provinces in Malaysia, with massive wealth potentials in oil reserves and forestry.

However, Sabahans and Sarawakians are convinced that they have remained poor due to the federal government's "manipulation and usurpation" of their power to self-determine their own affairs.

Unhappy over petro dollars

They are crying foul over the mere five percent royalty cut received for their own oil, while the Putrajaya administration "steals" 95 percent of petro dollars.

"People from both Sabah and Sarawak realise that they are being short-changed. They know there has been daylight robbery of their god-given richness," said a source.

Another contentious issue is the existence of an estimated 1.7 million illegal immigrants as rightful citizens in Sabah.

Sabahans termed the illegal immigrants, mostly Filipino and Indonesian Muslims, as former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad's legacy.

"The government since under Mahathir has systematically brought in these aliens and granted them citizenships. These aliens are now legal MyKad holders in Sabah. It's absolutely outrageous and ludicrous," said the source.

The illegal immigrant issue in Sarawak is not as disturbing as in Sabah although it is equally damaging.

'Raping of forest wealth'

The major issue in Sarawak is the "raping of state forest wealth" by the Umno-backed Taib Mahmud's government at the expense of the indigenous population.

The natives are also disgruntled by the usurpation of their customary land rights by the authorities despite a recent apex court ruling against it.

Sabahans and Sarawakians are also said to be peeved with the "Malay-nisation and Islamisation" process of their states' bureaucracy and political systems.

Activists claimed that the federal government had appointed native Muslims to helm various ministerial portfolios and government departments to hasten and fasten this process.

"These Muslim leaders and bureaucratic heads are puppets dancing to the tune played by their masters in Putrajaya," said the source.

Nama Malaysia dan Najib Tercemar, 145 Ahli Parlimen Seluruh Dunia Tuntut Gugurkan Kes Anwar

Posted: 02 Apr 2010 07:23 AM PDT

-SK

Petikan dari Kenyataan Media IPU

Senator Aquilino Pimentel, President of the Committee of the Human Rights of Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), gave his report to the IPU Governing Council on the last day of the 122nd Assembly in Bangkok. The Committee had examined the individual situations of 293 parliamentarians in 32 countries, among them public cases in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Burundi, Cambodia, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ecuador, Eritrea, Lebanon, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Niger, Palestine/Israel, the Philippines, the Russian Federation, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Turkey and Zimbabwe.

After talks with the parliamentary delegation from Afghanistan, Senator Pimentel said that the prosecution of Afghan MP Ms. Malalai Joya for a statement she had made would be closed and that, if she wished, she could run in the elections in Afghanistan later this year. The President of the Committee on the Human Rights of MPs hoped that "in the few months between now and the elections, the Afghan Parliament will reinstate Ms. Joya as a symbolic gesture".

Among the new cases presented to the IPU Governing Council, Senator Pimentel pointed out the case of Mr. Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia, currently de facto leader of the opposition Peoples Alliance. The IPU Committee dealt with Mr. Ibrahim's case some years ago when he was prosecuted and found guilty of abuse of power and sodomy.

Senator Pimentel explained that although Anwar Ibrahim had been officially barred from standing in elections until April 2008, he had in fact been able to campaign in the March 2008 elections. He was finally re-elected in a by-election on 26 August 2008. Earlier the same month, a new sodomy charge was brought against him and trial proceedings started in February this year. "The investigation and the proceedings seem to suffer from the same flaws as in the previous sodomy case" he added.

Turning to the cases of twelve MPs-elect imprisoned in Myanmar, Mr. Pimentel called on the Myanmar authorities to ensure that the elections were inclusive, free and fair. That, he said, would require that they change the recently enacted electoral laws. "With the elections drawing to a close, time is running short".

The IPU Committee also reported on numerous other cases occurring on other continents. In Africa, for example, the case of the parliamentarians arrested and detained after the National Assembly of Niger was dissolved last year reached a satisfactory solution after the Committee sent a delegation to Niamey to meet President Tanja and the parliamentarians. The situation in Niger remains unpredictable, however, after the military took power in February and dissolved the parliament.

A Malaysian Minister using vulgar words to scold non-malays on Al-Jazeera TV

A Malaysian Minister using vulgar words to scold non-malays on Al-Jazeera TV.

From: "Rosmah123"
Subject: Re: Al-Jazeera Coverage on Malaysia
Who is this uncouth vulgar melayu displaying what a rotten character he is
when being interviewed by Al Jazeera? Does he not know this will be aired
throughout the whole world?

Now if the other races in Malaysia gets interviewed by Al Jazeera and starts
shouting as he does with unsubstantiated allegations as his, will we have a
civil war on in Malaysia?

This country cannot afford to have this man in government. It is a question
of time before the non Malays retailiate.

I am amazed that such a character is allowed to be part of the government.

MCA and MIC and Gerakan may soon have to question what was said at that Al
Jazeera interview failing which, support for these parties by their ethnic
groups will fizzle to zero.
As a malay I find his stand exceedingly arrogant and outrightly without any
consideration whatsoever for the non malays.
We malays have to push non malays to a corner. The rats may become tigers
and the law of the jungle will rule supreme. Be warned stupid man.

Timbalan Speaker Berat Sebelah, Hanya Bertindak Ke Atas MP Pakatan Rakyat

Posted: 02 Apr 2010 07:03 AM PDT

Chong Eng kemudian menuduh Bung Mukhtar berbohong.

I really don't have much time for myself these days let alone blog. Work has been keeping me busy and I really need a break. Why the heck didn't anyone tell me being your own boss is pretty darned hectic.

I'm not going to write much (hahaha) today cos I've been out all day with wifey who was accompanying me on my work rounds and also to throw in a little shopping time as well. I'm so tired right now but I just had to get online and post these three things I observed while I was out today.

Observation number 1

While waiting to meet a supplier, wifey and me went to one of the hypermarkets in KL for a little shopping. While walking through the isles browsing at stuff we came to the women's department just next to the window blinds department.

There was this piece of blouse with wordings on it that really had me stumped! I stood there for quite a while trying to figure out what exactly did the words mean and for the life of me, I have no idea. Five thumbs up to the copywriter who came up with those words! Pure genius!

And if any of you can give me a reasonable explanation as to what exactly those words mean, I'll step out of my cheapskate streak and actually go buy you a gift! LOL! Seriously!

Observation number 2

Next on my list of observations for the day happened while we were on the way home. We were stuck at a traffic light junction and there was this car one row away from us that had me shaking my head in disbelieve!

He had this horrendous batik like motifs on his car which for the life of me had me questioning his taste and design sense. I mean, come on, who the heck would even put such motifs like that on a car? I wouldn't be caught dead with something like that on my car. I'd rip my doors right off man!

And the worse thing is he had this smug look on his face like as if his car was some kind of cool looking machine. LOL!

Observation number 3

This one might be a little sensitive to all you women out there and I apologise before hand if I offend any of you.

Every morning I send my two boys to school and have to negotiate this cross junction just a few meters away from my place. It's a pretty busy intersection and most of the time I have to inch my way out. Normally people will give me way.

No, let me rephrase that, normally the men would give me way but when it comes to a woman driver, heck they'd just speed by even faster when they see me trying to inch my way through. And it's not like they'd get very far cos they get stuck at the junction just ahead.

I mean, is it going to kill you to just let me pass through? And I'm not being judgmental. This is something I've observed for a very long time. It's only the women drivers who will NOT give me way. The men on the other hand will actually stop and wave me through. Granted, there are some men who are morons too but most of the time it's the women who don't give me way.

It's like the moment they see me, they'll press down the accelerator just so they can block me ... siggghhh ... wifey says maybe I don't look handsome enough ... LOL! She might be right cos I look a sight in the morning when I send the boys to school. I don't even brush my teeth before sending them ... LOL!

Peluang BN Menang Sukar Jika Calon UMNO - Khir Toyo

Posted: 02 Apr 2010 03:07 AM PDT

Austrian Muslims fight with police inside Spanish Church

Posted: 02 Apr 2010 02:28 AM PDT

(Spain) The Iberian Peninsula was occupied by Islamic invaders from 711 until 1492. During their time there (Aka occupation) Muslims build the Cordoba mosque which after they were kicked out was remade into a Christian cathedral. The thing is Islam cannot accept the fact that they were kicked out of a country they invaded by the locals, and as such they try year in and year out in which to get the Spanish authorities to allow them to revert the Cathedral into a mosque (or parts of it) and thus allow them to pray there.

Well, it seems that a coach party of around 100 Austrian Muslims forgot that Spain is now back to being a Christian country (has been for over 500 years) and decided to lay down on the floor of the cathedral and pray to Allah. Security guards who came across all those arses in the air, kindly asked them to respect the sanctity of the Cathedral and to continue on their sightseeing trip. Instead of following the tenets of a so called peaceful religion, the crowd decided to avenge their honour by attacking the guards, seriously injuring 2 of them. Police who were called to this mini riot also were attacked, and they ended up arresting 2 idiots.

In defence of their peaceful protest, Spanish Islamic convert Mansur Escudero of the Junta Islamica group stated:

"They publicise the building as a mosque because that brings in tourists, but they do not allow the Muslims who pay money to go inside to pray,"

Get that, according to a plastic Muslim, the fault lies not with the idiots rioting but with how the Spanish label the building. Which has me asking the question:

How do the Turks label the Hagia Sophia in which to get tourists through the door, as a mosque or as a Cathedral?

But why am I asking that question when Islam, which is demanding that Catholics initially share Cordoba with them, cannot even share the word 'Allah'. Extracted from the Eye On The World

Pakistani Muslim seizes Christian graveyard, forbids Christian burial there

Posted: 02 Apr 2010 01:56 AM PDT

And as usual, the authorities abetted the perpetrator. "Pakistani Muslim Prohibits Burial in Christian Graveyard," from Compass Direct, April 1:

GUJRANWALA, Pakistan, April 1 (CDN) -- A Muslim land owner who effectively seized a Christian graveyard here refused to allow the burial of a young Christian at the site on Sunday (March 28). Christians in Noshera Virkan, Gujranwala, have only one graveyard measuring little more than one acre. This longstanding disadvantage turned into a nightmare when Muhammad Boota, who owns much of the land in the area, prohibited Christians from burying the body of 25-year-old Riaz Masih there on Sunday (March 28).

Social worker Sajjad Masih told Compass that in the midst of the dispute, police from Saddar police station arrived and sided with Boota. "You may burn your dead, but you cannot bury them in this graveyard," Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Asif Cheema told mourners while beating them and pushing them out of the graveyard, according to Masih. The Christian mourners dispersed, and then went to the Station House Officer of the Saddar police station with their complaint. He did not pay heed to them, Masih said.

The death of a youth is always seen as a great tragedy in Pakistani culture, he said, making Boota's denial especially callous. Masih said that when the Christian mourners saw no other option, he helped them organize a protest the next day; he and the crowd took the body to the office of the highest police officer in the city, the deputy inspector general (DIG) of Gujranwala. Mourners protested for two hours before the DIG on Monday (March 29), and police later accompanied them to the graveyard to allow the burial.

"We blocked a road and chanted slogans against the police and Muhammad Boota," Masih said, "and after a few hours the DIG called us to his office. After listening, the DIG assured his support and referred the case to the relevant superintendent of the police, who told us that Boota would be arrested, and that he would also suspend ASI Asif Cheema." The SP said he would also order the arrest of anyone who kept Christians from rying their dead in the graveyard, Masih added.

None of the promises have been fulfilled. Khalid Gill, chief organizer in Punjab Province of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance, said Boota has not been arrested, nor has ASI Cheema been suspended, as the superintendent of police had only promised those actions to appease the Christian community.

"It is a very common practice of government officials to settle down tensions with false promises that they never fulfill," Gill said....Hat tip: Jihad Watch

Banteras Rasuah Perlu Menyeluruh, Bukan Takat Tandatangan Akuan Tertentu

Posted: 02 Apr 2010 01:40 AM PDT

-TVS

UMNO BN Silap Besar Jika Gantung Anwar

Posted: 02 Apr 2010 12:49 AM PDT

Usaha Gantung Anwar Silap Besar Umno-BN

"APCO's work has included communication support for a broad range of reform initiatives undertaken by the government of Malaysia, especially in the areas of creating jobs, promoting education, and strengthening delivery of services to the people".

Tahniah Anwar, rakyat Malaysia jatuh bangun bersamamu!

Kartika mula jalani khidmat sosial ganti sebatan

Posted: 01 Apr 2010 11:50 PM PDT

Seramai tujuh saksi pendakwaan dipanggil memberi keterangan sepanjang perbicaraan.

— Bernama

By-election wakes up sleepy Hulu Selangor

Posted: 01 Apr 2010 10:56 PM PDT

The rustic district is now a battleground for BN to win back the seat and for Pakatan to show that the electorate still has confidence...
For Barisan Nasional, this is their chance to wrest back its former glory and MIC in particular, to prove its relevance, as the representatives of the Indian community.
For Pakatan Rakyat, the polls will be a reflection of its two-year reign in Selangor, that all is well within the alliance, despite the steady stream of defections.

For the constituents, they can expect more goodies or promises from BN. BN, like PR, also always makes promises and do not fulfill them! Only difference is PR has not delivered since 2008 but BN since 1957!!

At Zoo Negara and meeting Din Beramboi

Posted: 01 Apr 2010 09:14 PM PDT

This entry is totally outdated. In fact I have forgotten to write anything about Miki's first trip to Zoo Negara in 27 February 2010 until today. I have a reason to that, and it is sad one.

Anyway, it was Miki's third time going to the zoo, the first two times was to Zoo Melaka. Each time we went, Azman and I would marvel on how much Miki has grown and grew smarter than the last time he saw the animals. On the entire afternoon of 27 Feb; we took so many photos but none with Miki looking at the camera. He was either staring at that animal or this animal or that hot chick or this hot hoochie mama. Eh! Itu Miki ke Azman? Ke aku? Ehhhh

Anyway, Miki was a bit nervous being too close to Mr Elephant. We bought RM3 worth of bananas from the zoo authority to feed the friendly big guys.

Feeding a deer

This bear was very amusing. He was given a young coconut and he was really happy. He eagerly used his claws to peel off the husks and check out his pose while drinking the water. In order to sit up straight, he needs to hold on to one feet and keep his balance.

seal animal show in zoo negara

The animal show was great. But Miki couldn't sit still and watch the show. He was hungry and wanted to play with a white tourist girl about his age with hair exactly curly-murly like his. The parents of the girl was also fed-up with their hyper little girl and left the show half way. Tsk tsk

zoo negara outing

The three of us.Yeayyy!

Zoo Negara opens daily from 9am to 5pm only. Entrance fee is RM20 for adults and RM6 for kids. The zoo is kids friendly, shady and cool too. The animal show is held daily at 11am and 3pm.

The thing that reminds me of our trip to zoo is Arwah Din Beramboi. The famous comedian who was born Mior Ahmad Fuad Mior Badri, 43 years old has gone today to meet his Creator. Was died of dengue fever.  I remember while we were walking down the mammals zone at the zoo, we walked pass him while he was about to start shooting for a show. He was wearing the outfit similar to what late Steve Irwin  was wearing so I guess he was hosting some animal show.

I said "Hi Pakcik Din!" and he looked at us smiling and replied "Hi!"

I told Azman later that we should have taken a picture with him but I didn't because he was in a middle of shooting a show. I like Din Beramboi a lot! He was really funny and despite all the crazy jokes I know he was an intelligent, nice man. And now he has gone. Al Fatihah. May he rest in peace.
