Zahrain, Kamu Pengkhianat Yang Tidak Bermaruah

Surat Terbuka Americk Sidhu Kepada Zahrain Hashim

Zahrain,

to zahrian, the ex bayan baru MP

Posted: 11 Jul 2010 10:29 AM PDT

firstly, this is a letter from PI  bala's lawyer, americk sidhu to the ex bayan baru MP (well though legally he is still MP but i will never consider him as my MP since i voted for him when he was in PKR).  secondly, RPK's writing (part of it) address to zahrian.  both from RPK's malaysia today. since i'm very angry at zahrain… whatever dirt, exposure, revelation, etc of zahrain, i will put it up on my blog. let the whole world know!

Malaysia Today

Dear Mr. Zahrain,

First let's try and get things in perspective.

You were elected as a Member of Parliament by a majority of voters in your constituency who agreed with and who supported the manifesto of the party whom you represented at that time. This means a majority of the voters in your constituency wanted the opposition to represent them. They did not want the Barisan Nasional to represent them.

This is as simply as I can put it. It is not really a very complicated matter to digest so please try and persevere.

Instead, you have betrayed the trust your supporters placed in you by abandoning all the principles you stood for and supporting the Barisan Nasional instead. You did this without first asking the majority of voters in your constituency permission to do so. The excuse that you are a BN friendly independent MP does not detract from the fact that you have abandoned the voters who elected you to represent them by disregarding their wishes and aspirations for a better nation and future.

Let me tell you what an honourable man would have done. An honourable man would have vacated his seat and requested the electorate in his constituency to decide whether they would still support him even though he had betrayed them.

This you did not do, so in my book you are a dishonourable man. You are now a Member of Parliament under false pretences. You shouldn't really be there because a Member of Parliament should be someone with integrity and honour, besides being legitimately elected by a majority of voters in that constituency.

As a dishonourable member of Parliament under false pretences who has betrayed the electorate he represents, I do not feel you are in a position moral or otherwise, to sanctimoniously criticize the actions of your past fellow 'brothers-in-arms' at the same time hiding behind the unholy alliance you have created for yourself with, what most right thinking members of Malaysian society consider to be, the devil incarnate.

Furthermore, the comments you have made regarding the 'trap' set by PKR's political games for the MACC borders on the ludicrous.

It is the MACC's job to interview Mr. P. Balasubramaniam. No one had set a 'trap' for them. They are the Maha Gurus of entrapment, not us. They are the ones who said they wanted to interview Mr. P. Balasubramaniam. We, as Bala's lawyers did everything we could to assist them. This had nothing to do with PKR. Just because the evidence Bala has may affect a leader of your newfound alliance does not mean it is an opposition-concocted story. It is a story begun by your new buddies, not Bala.

From your praise of the MACC pulling out of the London interview at the last moment, I can only derive from this an assumption that you are hell bent on collaborating with those who are intent on perverting the course of justice or obstructing it. I cannot see any other reason for the comment you have made.

You have then gone on to make some serious accusations directly affecting my integrity as a professional by blatantly implying that I have prepared a script for Bala to regurgitate to the investigative authorities. I hope you have concrete proof of these accusations because if you don't you are going to look even more silly than you are at the moment.

You appear to know more about my political inclinations and my relationship with Anwar Ibrahim than I do. I am not sure where you have obtained your information from but I would suggest you look for an alternative source, as it is not very effective. I wish to inform you that I am unfortunately not a PKR member, but I must confess, due to the unfolding of events over the past few days I have been seriously considering becoming one. Your inane comments have now prompted me to take the plunge. Thank you.

You have to be a little demented to think that Zaid and Anwar ought to share the responsibility of persuading RPK and Bala to return to Malaysia to "face up to anyone" as established past precedence indicates that anyone regarded as an embarrassing pest to the powers that be should expect to have two bullets embedded in their respective heads and their mortal remains distributed amongst the belukar in some secondary jungle with the aid of military grade explosives.

RPK and Bala are not fools.

Finally, Zahrain, when you and your new found colleagues find time to extricate your heads from the sand in which they are firmly ensconced, you may realise that the average Malaysian is no longer a fool with a penchant to assimilate political garbage without question.

It is a shame you were not present at the launch of 'Friends of Pakatan Rakyat' in London last Sunday. It would have been an eye opener for you, as it was for me. I now realise that there are a significant number of Malaysians who have a shared desire to see all the wrongs of the past be put right and the most enlightening aspect of that launch was the support shown by Malaysians of all races and backgroun  And this is the Malaysia everyone wants. Not the Malaysia you and your friends have slowly destroyed with your self-serving avarice.

From Americk Sidhu

taken from malaysia today here (only part).

By the way, Bukit Aman hacked my e-mail and downloaded all my correspondences and is using that to 'nail' me. Is that not a crime? The so-called documents, which MP Zahrain Hashim said he has given the authorities, are actually details of my e-mail that they broke into. They then doctored the e-mail to 'prove' that some people are giving me money.

Firstly, hacking my e-mail is a crime. Secondly, doctoring my e-mail to fabricate evidence against me is a crime. So who is the criminal here? Me, or Zahrain and his handlers in Bukit Aman?

And what is Zahrain doing playing footsies with Bukit Aman anyway? They gave him the contents of my e-mail, which have been doctored. Then he hands the documents back to the police as if he somehow came across them by accident and is now giving them to the police as evidence.

Main wayang. Kerja budak sekolah.

Sure, print out my e-mail. Use that as 'evidence' against me. Then explain how you managed to hack my e-mail to procure this so-called 'evidence'. Remember what happened to President Nixon and the Watergate break-in team? Flash my e-mail contents and let us see Googlegate explode. I will file an official complaint with Google that the Malaysian government hacked my e-mail and has openly admitted doing so.

Come on Zahrain. Make my day. Reveal all those documents that you have — the doctored contents of my e-mail. I am also waiting to hit you below the belt on some of your personal stuff here in the UK. Oh, and yes, I am monitoring your movements here in the UK as well. And I have a little surprise waiting for you.

People who live in glasshouses should not throw stones, my friend. Remember Kevin Morais, the MACC prosecutor who is trying to fix up lawyer Rosli Dahlan? And remember we tracked him all the way to his gay lover's home here in the UK? By the way, Kevin is the 'woman' in this relationship.

Suntikan Penataan Percikan Muntah Darah

Posted: 11 Jul 2010 09:00 AM PDT

I was gonna start this para with "My new obsession – home decor…." but suddenly I remembered that I have liked home decor ever since I started to live with Azman in our old rented house. That's not very recent I must say, that was in 2006.

As I was clearing stuff from the many boxes that are taking an eternity to organize I found my collection of Impiana magazine since 5 years ago. They are not so many but I realized I stopped buying them once Miki was born and started to follow this local  interior decoration (id) magazine again this year.

I love Impiana. When it comes to id, the best source of idea for me is of course the world wide web but Impiana can offer great fresh ideas on paint colors, furniture, style, decorative items etc that suit the locals, budget and of course their suggestions are possible to obtain.

You see, too much web browsing is giving me this globalizing decor ideas and I ended up wanting a zebra rug that God knows I will never get! Mana nak cari kat M'sia ni? Rug monyet kongkang boleh la dapat kot! Itu pun haiwan terpelihara! hmmph!

This year alone, I think I have bought about 4-5 monthly copies. I love the content but I keep finding myself just admiring the pictures but not reading the content.

BECAUSE IF READ THE WORD PERCIKAN ONE MORE TIME AND A VOMITING BLOOD MOM I WILL BECOME!!!!!

Goshhh it's so irritating! The writers try very hard to write fancy Malay literature but they ended up using the same old bloody phrases over and over and over again!

It's "*percikan warna" here and "*suntikan mood" there and "*penataan cahaya" here and there and EVERYWHERE!!! Ayoyoyoyoyooooo….

Maybe it bothers just me, but hell percikan reminds me of ayam percik and suntikan reminds me perkongsian jarum suntikan. A lil too much penataan on the other hand is boring.Trust me, there are a thousand other ways to express the meaning of those words in Malay!

Damn I really love that magazine. I hope they will start writing more creatively… Muntah darah aku dah nak tepercik-percik dah ni…

*percikan – a splash
*suntikan – to inject
*penataan – a composure

Home Minister Hishamuddin Should be Sacked

Posted: 11 Jul 2010 08:59 AM PDT

Home Minister Hishamuddin Hussein has spoken out against criticising of the police force. But one cannot turn a blind eye to the reputation the force has brought upon itself, says Ms Batik.

Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein has spoken out against criticising the police force. "If these attacks continue, how can we teach the younger generation about nationhood?" he apparently asked at a Warriors Remembrance Dinner organised by the Ex-Policemen's Association of Malaysia recently (theSun, 5 July 2010).

What has criticising the police got to do with teaching the younger generation about nationhood? Has the man lost the plot completely? While not belittling the efforts put in by our police force to fight crime and acknowledging the many difficulties the police force faces in terms of inadequate personnel, funding etc., one cannot turn a blind eye to the reputation the police force has brought upon itself. In a written parliamentary reply recently, the Home Minister himself revealed that a total of 279 suspects had been shot dead by the police between 2000 and 2009, while 147 died in police lockups during the same period (Malaysiakini, 28 June 2010). And let's not even go into allegations of corruption and cover-ups. The Home Minister cannot expect the public to keep quiet if they know and feel that something is wrong with PDRM.

Perhaps the Home Minister might consider this: "One of the most elementary requirements for public confidence in the police force is a trust in the fact that members of the service will be accountable should they mistreat citizens or their public responsibility..... And the best way of generating that confidence is to convince people that in the case of grievances, there is a speedy, effective and independent mechanism for getting it remedied" (Police and Human Rights: A Manual for Training Police. Danish Inst. of Human Rights). Our country had a chance at this but the lack of political will to implement the Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC) put an abrupt stop to this endeavour.

Improving the police force is not just a Malaysian concern. In the United Kingdom (UK), the Human Rights Act 1998 brought the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (ECHR) into UK law in 2000 (www.warwickshire.police.uk). "The Act makes it unlawful for a public authority to act in a way which is incompatible with a Convention right. Police officers are "public authorities" for the purposes of the Act because their role includes certain public duties. Six principles applicable to each area of policing to reach compliance with Human Rights were identified:

1. LEGALITY - is there a legal basis for police actions? Is that legal basis in statute, regulations, case law and is it available to a member of the public?

2. PROPORTIONALITY - can the police demonstrate that actions taken were "proportionate" to the threat or problem it sought to prevent?

3. RELEVANCE/NECESSITY - was the police action strictly relevant to the particular threat/problem.

4. SUBSIDIARITY - was the police action the least "force/intrusive" available?

5. EQUALITY OF ARMS - in any trial process did the defendant have the same information and access to information as the police/prosecution?

6. REMEDY - is there an independent public remedy available to the citizen?

The article at the website ends with the line "Your decisions and those of the officers you supervise are liable to be tested against these criteria to ensure compliance with human rights."

Now why can't we do something like this here, Home Minister? Take courage and have some backbone for there will be no lack of ideas as to how to reform PDRM and you can be assured of public support.

Don't worry about teaching the younger generation about nationhood. But if you feel you must worry, then worry about the current examples being set by your government - for our young people learn by example!

Nations must rise against Israel - Dr M

Posted: 11 Jul 2010 08:54 AM PDT

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said Sunday that civil society must exert pressure on governments to shun hypocrisy and rise against Israel.

The Perdana Global Peace Organisation chairman also said the world should not allow an apartheid state to continue its oppression of the Palestinians.

In his address at the Breaking The Siege: In the Spirit of Rachel Corrie and Mavi Marmara international conference, Mahathir said: "We must call upon all governments not to be hypocritical and stand up to this rogue state called Israel."

He also termed Israel an "apartheid state" which must not be allowed to continue such oppressive policies (read here).

He said the December 2008 invasion of Gaza not only resulted in the deaths of Palestinian civilians but also an outpouring of aid which did not reduce the suffering of the people. "The invasion saw more than 1,400 civilians, men, women and children killed, and more than 20,000 homes, schools and hospitals were destroyed.
"

Dr Mahathir also said that PGPO will study the law of the sea to find the legal implication on Israel's action to board the lead ship of the humanitarian aid flotilla, Mavi Marmara and once they knew the legal implication, the organisation would take action on Israel (here).

"What Israel has done is actually piracy and now Israel is detaining the ship...that is wrong. Once we know the legal implication, what are the provisions of the law of the sea, then we can take some action," he told reporters after the closing of the international conference by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

In a related development, Dr Mahathir said the US compelled the UN Security Council to impose sanctions against Iran in order to weaken the country and lay the ground for a military attack (here).

"The world is made to believe once again the lie that Israel's existence is being threatened by a nuclear armed Iran," he said, adding that these sanctions were adopted despite the fact that Mohamed ElBaradei, the former head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), had repeatedly stated that there is no evidence of Iran pursuing military nuclear program.

How Can I Tell Her Karaoke

Posted: 11 Jul 2010 08:36 AM PDT

Just to share with you one of the popular songs between the late 1960s and early 1970s and which I used to sing as a bandboy in Tamparuli, Tuaran, Kiulu, Tenghilan and nearby areas up to KK. The original singer was Lobo but in this video I don't think it's his voice. Lobo of America ever performed in Sabah. Those days, there was no TV, no Disco, no Karaoke, no Internet, no You Tube, no Facebook, no nothing. So the only form of entertainment for young people then was party, party and party and they would organise one with the slightest excuse - whatmore marriage, even engagement or birthday or Christmas or New Year or full moon or anniversary also they would call a band (which helped me pay for my school and exam fees, he he). These young people are now in their 50s like me or 60s. Time flies, we are now all middle-aged, waiting for our turn...

NAJIB: The United States has excellent access to Malaysian intelligence!!!

Posted: 11 Jul 2010 08:20 AM PDT

Who is the US agent? Anwar or Najib? - that's the latest posting by RPK in Malaysia Today.
The posting basically reproduced a lecture given by Najib, then the Defence Minister, to The Heritage Foundation that is a research and educational institution—a think tank—whose mission is to formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense.

Click here to read the full transcript of the lecture in The Heritage Foundation.

Here's an excerpt of the said lecture:
As you can see, cooperation between our two nations started long before September 11, 2001. But the horrific events of that day galvanized our relationship as never before. Prime Minster Mahathir has been vocal in condemning the attacks, and we have been happy to provide an elevated level of cooperation with the United States on the range of fronts. For example:
  • The United States averages more than 1,000 overflights per year. Since September 11, this number has increased dramatically, and all requests have been approved.
  • The United States has excellent access to Malaysian intelligence.

So, what is this 'latest' political propaganda that the Umno-led BN is trying to potray Anwar as a CIA tool?

MIC Congress MIC president S Samy Vellu did not mince his words today in lambasting those who opposed his leadership of the party.

Samy declared, saying, "They have their own objectives, in which they will fail. It will kill them."

Utusan Serang Anwar Untuk Tutup Pekung Najib Dan UMNO

Najib, Malaysia 'Ayam Sabung' Amerika Syarikat

Hati hati dengan tilikan Piala Dunia 2010

Posted: 11 Jul 2010 02:35 AM PDT
