10 Tempat Terlarang Meletakkan Handfon

Posted: 01 Dec 2010 07:06 AM PST

2. JANGAN LETAKKAN BERSAMA BARANG ELEKTRONIK

Jangan gunakan HP ketika signal lemah dekat dengan barang elektronik berprestasi tinggi (seperti TV, OVEN, HEATER ,dll), kerana dapat merosak sirkuit HP.

3. JANGAN DISIMPAN DEKAT KUNCI KERETA

Semoga bermanfaat ...

Komputer Syarikat Guna Perisian Cetak Rompak Dirampas

Peralatan komputer 20 syarikat guna perisian cetak rompak dirampas

- BERNAMA

A Very Dark Secret

Posted: 01 Dec 2010 05:32 AM PST

The days move real quick when you're up to your neck with work. It's been work, work and more work from the moment I wake up till the moment I go to bed which is one of the reasons for hair loss which I'm experiencing more and more these days. In fact these days, I think 24 hours is simply not nearly enough for me.

I've got so many things to do with so little time to do it in. The only thing about being so busy is that business is pretty decent. The only bad thing I'm totally exhausted by the end of the day what with my running programme which has now moved up a step further to running 10KM 5 days a week. It really doesn't leave me much time to do anything else.

Which is why I'm looking forward to Christmas cos I've already made myself unavailable from the 24th till at least 2011 and I plan to take the wife and kids and head out somewhere to recuperate. It's definitely going to be somewhere near cos I don't want to waste the time driving to some far our destination.

Besides that, things have been pretty much the same. I do have a new craving though. It's not something I'm proud to admit but I so crave for dark chocolates these days that I've been walloping a small bar almost everyday.

I know, I know, chocolates are not good, especially for someone who's into health these days but then, that is precisely the reason why I run almost everyday so that I'm able to eat any food I like and burn it off the next day :D

I've always loved anything chocolaty but have never really indulged in them much. I mean, if you put a chocolate brownie in front of me, I'll definitely wallop the darn thing but I won't go out of my way to buy one.

That's not the same with dark chocolates though. I'd actually take the trouble to stop at some convenience store or hypermarket just to buy a bar ... ok, ok, maybe not just one bar but two ... LOL! Then I'd head home and savour them all by myself quietly in some secret corner of my house ... hahaha ...

But seriously, that is my only one sinful cravings for the moment :D So, if anyone plans to buy me a Christmas present (yes, I have no shame) get me loads of dark chocolates now you hear :D

Aduka Taruna Buat Aduan Polis Beliau Dipukul

Posted: 01 Dec 2010 05:28 AM PST

Soal lelaki bergambar 1. Riak wajah sedikit provokasi.

"Ya... saya." Gua senyum dan hulur tangan untuk bersalam. Masih dalam keadaan duduk.

"AdukaTaruna?" Soal lelaki bergambar 2. Juga berwajah provokasi.

"Ya." Gua senyum dan hulur tangan. Kedudukan gua masih duduk. Dan adik gua duduk disebelah gua.

"Tak payah salam dengan budak kurang ajar macam ni." Sampuk lelaki 3 (suspek) sambil tepis tangan lelaki 2.

Tetapi gua still tidak alihkan gaya tangan bersalam. Wallahualam.

Ketika keadaan inilah, lelaki 3 (suspek) memukul kepala gua. Gua bingkas bangun. Adik gua menyerbu.

Tapi dah ghaib. Adik gua masih ditahan. Adik gua tunjuk pintu mahkamah sebelah. Gua masuk, mahkamah kosong. Gua tanya adik gua kat mana brother botak bermisai tanglung tu, adik gua sound polis bawa dia kat situ (sambil menuding jari.) Gua cari keliling mahkamah sambil diekori polis. Dah takda. Satu polis bisik dekat gua, si pemukul adalah pengadu. Dia dah cuak dan tak boleh lari. *Kalau takda pelindung ajaib lah. Tanda * adalah ayat gua sendiri.

Gua kol lawyer. Lawyer nasihatkan gua buat laporan polis. Gua kol ISA untuk makluman. Setelah mahkamah selesai membuat penangguhan, gua ke Balai Polis Seremban 2 terletak bersebelahan. Membuat report. Ketika membuat laporan, polis bertugas menghubungi (ASP Khu ntah gua lupa termasuk nama pangkat.) Dan berkata kepada gua begini :

"Encik, ini *ASP Khublala mahu bercakap."

*ASP Khublala speaking campur Melayu + Inggeris yang membuatkan gua hanya faham intipati. Gua boleh rekod, tapi bila mengenangkan handphone lampu suluh, gua terus kensel.

1. *ASP Khublala mengatakan yang pihak polis professional. Dia galakkan membuat report bagi tindakan undang-undang.

2. *ASP Khublabla menjelaskan bahawa gua hanya baru dituduh.

3. If I tempat you pun I marah. You boleh saman dia.

Toche... toche... Idop Kak Ros! -adukataruna

Double Protest Over Water

Posted: 01 Dec 2010 04:01 AM PST

Fee-fi-fo-fum I smell trouble in the air! Do you?

Malaysiakini reported HERE that two opposing groups are set to go head-to-head with each planning to submit a memorandum to Istana Negara on Sunday on issues involving the Selangor government.

The article stated that a thousand-strong group of 'red shirts' (supporters of the Selangor government) and some 2,000 'black shirts' (members of a movement opposed to the state government) will march to the palace that day.

The Selangor government will organise a march from the National Mosque to the palace as part of the Air Untuk Rakyat (Water for People) campaign. The protestors are requesting royal intervention in the state's water tussle with the federal government and water concessionaire Syabas which may see the water tariff skyrocket by 37 percent.

On the other hand, the Anti-Selangor Abuses Movement (Gaps) is protesting alleged abuses by the Pakatan Rakyat-led Selangor government such as the allegations about illegal mining of sand, the purchase of the debts of property developer Talam Corporation and the closure of Institut Kemahiran Yayasan Selangor. The group that will be wearing black shirts, will gather at the Masjid Jamek in Kampung Baru at 12.30pm and then march to the palace.

In such a scenario where thousands are going to gather for opposing reasons, I really pray that all parties concerned will keep their cool and not be provoked in any circumstance.

However, imaginative me can almost see what may happen...

In the past, some quarters claimed that street protests are not part and parcel of their style of protest so why are they resorting to such protests now? Is there another reason?

Whatever the case, let's remember their words that they "are a cultured organisation that follows the rules".

Malaysiakini reported that both groups still have not obtained permits from the police for the planned demonstrations.

What then is the right thing for the authorities to do since they know of the plans from both parties???

Isn't there a more peaceful solution to settle a matter that is a basic need for all

Pilihanraya Mac 2011? Karut Betul.

Posted: 01 Dec 2010 03:53 AM PST

Anwar ramal p'raya Mac 2011

Ketua Pembangkang, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim meramalkan pilihan raya umum diadakan pada bulan Mac 2011 ekoran pengumuman penangguhan pemilihan Umno selama 18 bulan.

-mk

Kesan buruk

Bridging the income gap...

Posted: 01 Dec 2010 03:20 AM PST

I would like to second NUBE's (National Union of Bank Employees) sec-gen J Solomon for his statement that the government, Malaysia's big corporations and the private sector should look seriously into the income gap in the country, which is a deterrent to achieving the objectives of 1Malaysia.

Indeed, he said the narrowing of income gap (here) is an imperative towards the sustainability of economic development which has to tie in to social development of the people of any country.

Widening income inequality can be a major obstacle to the unity and solidarity that '1Malaysia' envisions. Since Merdeka in 1957, the top 20 per cent of income earners in Malaysia have benefited much more from economic growth than the bottom 40 per cent.

It is significant that the report of the National Economic Advisory Council (NEAC) on the New Economic Model (NEM) admits that, 'The bottom 40 per cent of households have experienced the slowest growth of average income, earning less than RM 1,500 per month in 2008.'

The wage trend in Malaysia recorded only an annual 2.6 per cent growth during the past 10 years, compared to the escalating cost of living during the same period. It explains why almost 34 per cent of about 1.3 million workers earn less than RM700 a month, below the poverty line of RM720 per month – a point emphasised by the Minister of Human Resources, Dr S Subramaniam, recently, as written by Dr Chandra Muzaffar (here).

Many economists and sociologists today feel that the term 'minimum wage' itself, which is the product of an earlier era, should be replaced with the term ' living income' and linked to the dignity of the human being.

A living income, according to him is a minimum level of income by which all human beings can provide for themselves and their dependents the five basic material human needs – food, housing, clothing, health care and education. These needs are vital for protecting human dignity.

The United Nations (UN)'s recent report on the Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific, urged governments to increase their social spending and invest more in their own societies to ensure a more equitable development of their economies.

There are economic benefits by doing so: By lifting more of their own people out of poverty and improving the income status of their citizens, the larger the consumer class and developed markets that countries could create for the future.

And the humane side of the argument is summed up well by UN Resident Coordinator for Malaysia, Kamal Malhotra, who says: "Economic development is not solely about numbers, trade, finance and wealth creation, but it is also about the welfare of the people."

Economists say a country's prosperity should benefit its people on the overall, not just the selected few, otherwise development will not bring much meaning.

In the case of Malaysia, its quest to become an advanced and high-income economy by the year 2020 has to be accompanied by efforts to enhance the social mobility of its people. As it stands, the gap between the rich and poor in the country remains wide, even though the overall poverty rates have been reduced significantly over the years.

It is estimated that around 4 per cent of all Malaysians, and more than 7 per cent of rural Malaysians, are currently still living below the poverty line. The bottom 40 per cent of households, on average, earn less than RM1,500 per month.

"Having 40 per cent of the country's households in the low-income category is definitely a stumbling block to becoming a high-income, industrialised nation," says Tan Sri Ramon Navaratnam, chairman of ASLI Centre of Public Policy Studies and former Treasury deputy secretary-general (here).

In encapsulating the principles of the NEM, Datuk Seri Idris Jala used to say: "Let us all be rich (earning high income), everyone together (inclusiveness), not just for one day or two, but for generations to come (sustainability)."

But, can we?

Serial shopper strikes - 1

Posted: 01 Dec 2010 02:42 AM PST

My usual year-end shopping spree begins!

Nope, not for myself, and not my money either. It's for the children of the PLHIV families under our sponsorship or CEF programme. Someone did suggest that I bring them all together shopping and settle everything in one day. But oh, no thanks, I don't think I can handle all the children at the same time! Pening!

Since I usually deliver sponsored groceries to Lin's and Sofie's families at the end/beginning of each month, I decided to start with their families first, so I don't have to go to their homes twice in a month.

So yes, today, after getting the supply of groceries from the minimarket, I went over to Lin's house. Other than Rahim and Marlia, the 2 sponsored children, Lin's older daughter was also home. She is currently on study leave before her exam begins in about a week's time. She came along with us to shop for her younger sibling's schooling needs.

Rahim and Marlia are both in secondary school, so there shouldn't be any problem. Or so I thought.

Well, there wasn't really much problem with Rahim, except that he loves to tease his sister, but my oh my, we had such a hard time trying to find school stuff for Marlia, being the manja type (because she's the youngest? Oh, I'm the youngest in my family too!). Too jarang, too keras, tak best, you name them! No wonder Lin insisted that her older daughter come along. Marlia wouldn't listen to Lin, being an old timer (like me!), but at least Marlia would consider her sister's suggestions.

I just kept quiet at first, but after more than an hour and after seeing Marlia being so choosy and fickle-minded, I finally told them I'd only wait for another 10 minutes otherwise they'd have to pay for everything themselves. :-)

It was 12 noon by then and I was getting hungry. Despite it being a working day, there was still quite a queue at the cashiers. The receipt for Rahim's and Marlia's schooling stuff came out to more than 1 foot in length (including all the small stuff).

We then went straight for lunch at the same shopping complex. Luckily this time Marlia wasn't fickle-minded in her choice of food.

By the time I sent them home, it was already 1pm.

Tomorrow will be the turn of Sofie's children – all 4 of them. Double today's number, with one 8 year old girl in tow. I hope none of them are as choosy and fickle-minded as Marlia!

Ayuh semua datang raikan pesta kuasa rakyat. Warna tema kali ini merah. Datang dengan baju merah, belon merah, payung merah pendek kata serba merah.

Jumpa di sana.

Wikileaks: Amerika Putuskan Rangkaian Pengkalan Data Pentagon

Posted: 01 Dec 2010 02:30 AM PST

Amerika hadkan Pentagon peroleh maklumat diplomatik

WASHINGTON: Amerika Syarikat (AS) hari ini mengehadkan kebebasan Pentagon untuk memperoleh maklumat sensitif diplomatik selepas ribuan maklumat sebelum ini didapati bocor sehingga memalukan kerajaan dan negara lain.

China pula menuntut AS mengambil tindakan spesifik, manakala agensi perisikan Russia dikatakan semakin teruja untuk memperoleh maklumat sulit dan rahsia itu selepas laman web pembocor maklumat WikiLeaks mendedahkan maklumat kabel AS, terutama berkaitan tentera AS, baru-baru ini.

Jabatan Negara AS berkata, pihaknya menutup sementara kebebasan Pentagon untuk memperoleh beberapa maklumat keselamatan.

- AFP

Disability Equality Training In Malaysia 2010

Posted: 01 Dec 2010 01:43 AM PST

My daily routine was interrupted the whole of November. The first to weeks of the month was spent commuting daily to Bandar Baru Sentul and back. There, I spent most of the time learning and co-facilitating on Disability Equality Training with nineteen others from Thailand, India, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines and Malaysia.

I had to wake up at five to get ready and brave the Jalan Loke Yew traffic jam with Wuan every morning. After dropping me off at MAKPEM, she took the LRT from Sentul to get to work. Those days, we barely slept more than five hours as we usually reached home at around 9.00 pm. By the time we were ready for bed, it was well past midnight already.

It was a tough routine but what I learnt from the training was worth the effort. Dr. Kenji Kuno, the course facilitator, not only enlightened us on the two models on disability, namely the Social Model of Disability and Medical Model of Disability. He also taught us the finer skills to facilitate effectively.

Although two weeks were barely sufficient to cover all the training modules, we basically had a good grasp of how we could promote a better understanding of the issues faced by disabled people and how those issues can be resolved through proactive actions, not only by disabled people but society in general as well.

Telur Busuk Sambut Miyabi

Telur sambut Miyabi

JAKARTA: Anggota Front Pembela Islam (FPI) berikrar mengadakan bantahan dan 'menyerang' pejabat majalah lelaki dewasa, Maxim, kerana menguruskan kedatangan bintang filem lucah Jepun, Maria Ozawa.

- Agensi

Geram, FPI Protes Miyabi

Front Pembela Islam (FPI) mengecam keras kehadiran Miyabi karena dianggap penghancur moral bangsa. Miyabi disebut setan yang merusak moral bangsa. Duh!

Sekitar seratusan massa mendatangi rumah produksi Maxima Pictures, Jl. Pangeran Jayakarta, Mangga Dua, Jakarta Pusat, Jumaat siang sehabis salat Jumat.

"Allahu Akbar!

Sesekali mereka berteriak takbir.

Dia kan bintang film porno, merusak moral bangsa," ujar Habib Fachri.

(dc/vn)

We don’t need 1Myanmar nor 1Burma but the United Union of Myanmar with EQUAL RIGHTS for all the citizens i.e. UNITY IN DIVERSITY

We don't need 1Myanmar nor 1Burma but we need the United Union of Myanmar with EQUAL RIGHTS for all the citizens i.e. UNITY IN DIVERSITY. Of course there must be TRUE Democracy but not a fake one.

After reading TDM's criticism of 1 Malaysia, some Burmese Muslims illusion of longing for 1 Myanmar on the FB pages because of the 1 Malaysia rhetoric here and Professor Dr Maung Maung Nyo's repeated suggestions on Myanmar Muslims to drop 'Muslim' word and to just claim as Myanmar. (Actually Myanmar military government is not recognizing us as Myanmars but Indian (or other sub continent country) mixed blooded "guest citizens".

Actually Myanmar people could be divided into_

1. the various 135 distinct recognized ethnic groups  (List of ethnic groups in Burma from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia )

2. and Unrecognized ethnic groups such as:Burmese Muslims, Burmese Chinese, Panthay (Muslims of Chinese origin), Burmese Indians, Gurkha, Anglo-Burmese (Eurasians of mixed Burmese and European), Rohingya and Pashu etc.

3. We could subdivide those based on mixed blooded types

4. and their religions. For example: Buddhist Karens, Christian Karens, Muslim Karens and Atheists Karens.

5. Military and ex-military people and civilians.

6. Politically into NLD, opposition, NGOs, neutral, government affiliated groups.

I strongly believe that we do not need to ASSIMILATE in to one that may be Bama. I do not agree to TDM's remarks, "1Malaysia can only succeed if the people turn their backs on their race and origins, and assimilate into one people".

Religion is actually the most important factor e.g. just look at Myanmar, any mixed blooded person whether Japan or Indian or Chinese could assimilated into the Burman Buddhists if they could follow Buddhism. (I mean follow but not necessarily need to be Fundamentalist Buddhist as he could Co-opt his previous religion by even putting together the Quan Yin (Kuan Shih Yin P'usa) Mi Lo Fwo (Obese Deity) etc. Thagyamin, considered King of the Nats, is identified with the Buddhist deva Śakra and the Hindu deity Indra. Law ka nat is also Burmanized spirit.

Nat (spirit)

In Wikipedia, (Guidebook for entry into public higher learning institutions for SPM/equivalent graduates for academic year 2007/2008), the Malaysian Higher Education Ministry defined bumiputra as follows, depending on the region of origin of the individual applicant:

  1. Peninsular Malaysia
  1. Article 160 defines a Malay as being one who "professes the religion of Islam, habitually speaks the Malay language, conforms to Malay customs and is the child of at least one parent who was born within the Federation of Malaysia before independence of Malaya on the 31st of August 1957."
  2. On the Aljazeera English Interview TDM replied to the interviewer who questioned his origin, "According to the definition of Bumiputra in the constitution, "one who professes the religion of Islam, habitually speaks the Malay language, conforms to Malay customs and is the child of at least one parent who is a Bumiputra" he is a Malay (bumiputra).

So we could see the successful assimilation of people of different ethnicity and origin into the mainstream Malay.

Please may you kindly allow me summarize about our Burmese Muslim roots and origin. Myanmar or Burmese Muslims are descendants of Arabs, Persians, Turks, Moores, Indian-Muslims, and Pakistanis…etc. Mixed marriages, intermarriages and assimilation process of throwing away of almost all their foreign languages, foreign dresses and foreign culture slowly shaped them in to Ethnic Myanmar Muslim group of today.

But we have drawn a line in the ongoing process of assimilation. That line of limit is our religion, Islam! As practicing Muslims we could not go beyond the limit of tolerance of Islamic principles.

So Myanmar Muslims threw away Urdu, Bengali, Chinese, Hindi and all other foreign languages. Even Arabic is learned just to read Holy Koran and for prayers. Myanmar Muslims speaks Myanmar as their mother tongue, wear Myanmar dress and even have an official Myanmar name as well as Islamic Arabic name.

Because they could not compromise their faith in Islam in matters such as: only eating halal foods and drinks, marriage, divorce, inheritance, and other customs which heavily depend on Islam e.g. circumcision, funeral and burial rituals etc. So Myanmar Muslims could not assimilate homogeneously as Chinese, Hindus and others, except for those who convert or renounced Islam.

Complete Assimilation of a minority group always needs a compromise of their tradition, their culture and some of their rights.

We could trace our ancestors well in to the first millennium and now we are even in the third millennium. And our youngest brothers-in-Islam migrated more than half a century ago into Myanmar because we gained Independence on 4th. January 1948 and migration stopped much earlier than that. So it is unfair and gross injustice have been committed if the Muslims in Myammar are labelled as foreigners or new guest citizens. And we must not forget the fact that the "Indian subcontinent Burmese Muslims" who maintained the umbilical cord intact with the Indian subcontinent had returned for good after General Ne Win had "driven them out" in 1964 with nationalization of all their business, property and demonetisations.

Myanmar citizens from widely diverse ethnic backgrounds and origins should not be asked to forsake their roots so that all are ultimately assimilated into ONE race subscribing to ONE religion only. We need to have mutual respect, mutual love in addition to mutual understanding, mutual tolerance and to treat each other reciprocally equally as United or Union of Myanmar's Citizens. As long as there is the equal rights on all citizens regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, creed etc according to_
