Five Myths About Pit Bulls Busted!

Five Myths About Pit Bulls Busted!

Posted: 13 Jan 2011 11:26 AM PST

WHAT A LOAD of hogwash for anyone to say that pit bulls are killers!

Here's a delightful blog that we came across busts the five common myths about the breed and its so-called "ferocity."

Pit bulls are no killers by nature. They only become one when an even more dangerous animal called "man" rears and trains them to become one.

And the worst that any one can do now is to play a quack expert

God is good to me Oh what love I see Jesus as a Lamb was slain

God is good to me
Oh what love I see
Jesus as a Lamb was slain
He delivered me
Cleansed and set me free

Lord of life
He rose again!

Now I live yet not I
Jesus is alive in me
Sending the Spirit's flame
Showers of Latter Rain
God has poured His life on me!

The above lyric is a song that God put in my heart yesterday.

I believe He has given me this song as a birthday song to me.

Thanks National Geographic, Palestine needs to be travelled to

Post image for Thanks National Geographic, Palestine needs to be travelled to

I recently ran across an article on JPost.com that inspired me to action. According to this article, he latest edition of the National Geographic's Traveller Magazine has published a "Travel Palestine" advertisement and the Advertising Standards Authority has been inundated with complaints that the advertisement attempts to "blot out" the existence of Israel. These complaints take issue with the fact that the advertisement locates Palestine between the Mediterranean coast and the Jordan river without mentioning Israel, and that it claims that areas under Israeli control, like parts of Hebron and East Jerusalem, are Palestinian destinations.

The article reads:
The Zionist Federation of the UK said the advert was misleading as it gives the "false impression" that Palestine is a country; that Jerusalem is part of Palestine, and that Palestine extends from the Mediterranean to the Jordan.

"The ad would mislead tourists, since on traveling to territory controlled by the Palestinian Authority, they would not find the sites and facilities which the advertisement promotes," the ZF said.

I decided to send the following e-mail to the ASA in defense of the Travel Palestine advertisement:

I'm sending this message in defense of an advertisement that has recently received several complaints. I'm very grateful that the National Geographic posted its Travel Palestine advertisement in this month's magazine because quite simply, Palestine needs to be traveled to. I just visited the West Bank and witnessed the Israeli government's attempt to erase Palestinian claims to the land with concrete walls, Hebrew highway signs, and Jewish-only settlements. The complaints say that Hebron isn't in Palestine because it's in Area C, under Israeli military control. Area C covers 60% of the West Bank. And Arab East Jerusalem is still "in dispute" because Arab residents are in the process of being evicted and surrounded by Israeli settlements. I commend National Geographic for inviting travelers to witness Palestinian culture for themselves, and telling the world that Palestine exists, in spite of Israeli efforts to make it disappear. I ask that you consider the implications of silencing this message in your investigation of this advertisement.
Thank you.

For anyone who wants to counter the complaints to the ASA and defend the Travel Palestine advertisement, I've included the following addresses:

No key to boat and greeted by a snake: What an omen for Koh Tsu Koon! ;)

Posted: 13 Jan 2011 09:52 AM PST

By Debra Chong
January 12, 2011

Koh has blamed the PR state administration for the problems faced by BN during their recent camp on Pulau Jerejak.

GEORGE TOWN, Jan 12 – In Penang, the spats between the ruling Pakatan Rakyat (PR) state government and its rival Barisan Nasional (BN) faction have grown more strident and public as Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak mulls calling for the 13th general elections this year.

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng today called his predecessor, Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon, irresponsible for blaming problems faced during the state BN's recent camp at the Tropical Island Resort (TIR) at Pulau Jerejak on the new administration.
Pulau Jerejak is a 362-hectare island off the eastern coast of Penang, which once served as a penal and leper colony.
"He is not satisfied because there was no key to the boat and there was a snake in the storeroom," Lim said in a media statement today, referring to the Gerakan president and state BN chief.

The DAP secretary-general said Koh should not blame PR because the jetty at Bayan Bay and Pulau Jerejak was managed by the resort company, which was granted the project by the previous BN administration.
TIR is a joint-venture partnership between Putrajaya-linked UDA Holdings and state-owned Penang Development Corporation (PDC) with shares split 51 per cent and 49 per cent respectively
Lim, who is also PDC chairman, said the project had caused the state agency to suffer a RM19 million loss which it cannot recoup.
He said almost all usable land on the former leper colony had been handed over to UDA during Koh's 15-year tenure as chief minister.
Lim dared Koh to explain for the loss.
"Is Koh brave enough to explain the new RM19 million scandal in Pulau Jerejak?" the first-term CM challenged.
"Or is he going to wait until March?" he added, mocking Koh's promise that there are surprises in store for the PR state government.
Lim had earlier this week dared Koh to disclose why the state government had to pay RM40 million over the Tang Hak Ju land scam and why the Seberang Perai Municipal Council (MPSP) suffered a RM230 million deficit for seven years.

Kemasukan Ezam kedalam UMNO Vs Fasal 20

Posted: 07 Jun 2008 01:16 AM PDT

Kemasukan Ezam = Trojan Horse War

Posted: 03 Jun 2008 11:28 PM PDT

Oleh rmf

After the events of the Iliad and the death of Hector, the Trojan War still wasn't over. Neither the Greeks nor the Trojans seemed to be able to win, until one of the Greek kings, Odysseus of Ithaca, had an idea.
"Build a big wooden horse on wheels," he said, "big enough for a bunch of Greek soldiers to hide inside it." So the Greeks did. Then the Greeks all pretended to sail home (except the ones hiding inside the horse!). They acted like they had given up and left. But really they hid just around the corner.

Soon the Trojans found the horse. "What is it?" they asked each other. Nobody knew. (The Greek soldiers hiding inside kept very quiet). Then they found a Greek soldier hiding nearby. He said (though this was part of the trick) that the other Greeks hated him and they had left him behind. So the Trojans asked him what the horse was for. He said it was an offering to Athena.

Well, the Trojans didn't want to upset Athena either, so they rolled the big horse into the city of Troy. It was so big it wouldn't go through the gate, and they had to tear down a piece of the city wall to get it in. They left it at the temple of Athena, and then the Trojans had a big party to celebrate the end of the war. (Still the Greek soldiers inside the horse kept very quiet).

Finally everyone fell asleep, and NOW the Greek soldiers came out of the Trojan Horse and killed the guards on the walls. They signalled to the other Greeks to come attack Troy. They could get in now because the walls were torn down. There was a big battle and the Greeks won. All the Trojan men were killed, and all the women and children were taken back to Greece as slaves

Keparat sangat kah UMNO

Posted: 24 May 2008 08:07 PM PDT

oleh rmf

Mungkin agak kasar tajuk topik ini, tetapi ini lah hakikatnya  sekarang gaya pemikiran pemimpin UMNO sekarang, musuh ditatang negarawan dicela dibuang, selama 10 tahun pemimpin UMNO masih tidak mengenali siapa sebenarnya musuh musuh mereka didalam parti, Ezam mohd Nor orang kuat PKR  selama ini bertungkus lumus berusaha untuk menjatuhkan, merobek, memecahkan UMNO dengan pelbagai isu yang dibangkitkan untuk meraih penyokong beralih kepada PKR. Tetapi kini apabila beliau sudah tidak diperlukan lagi didalam PKR  sewenang-wenangnya pemimpin UMNO bersedia untuk menerima beliau sebagi ahli termasuk jawatan sanator- Besar sangatkah jasa beliau didalam memperkukuhkan UMNO.

Berlainan pula denga tindakkan Mantan Perdana Menteri Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad tidak putus putus memberikan pandangan , kritikan yang membina  menegur kesilapan para Pemimpin UMNO supaya sedar dan jangan tersasar daripada agenda  Parti, Sebaliknya  telah dicemuh kerana tindakan tersebut dikatakan memecah belahkan parti- Keparat sangat kah UMNO sehingga mengambil Ezam masuk didalam UMNO.

Siapakah Aset terbesar dan berpengalaman diantara mereka – Untuk Adnan Yaakob

tun ezam

ezam khairykhairy pak lah naur

Apakah benar tindakan Khairy Jamaluddin?

Jangan jadi Pak Turut demi kepentingan diri,

Kita lihat PRU 13 nanti. Demi Aliff, Ba dan Ta .. Agama Bangsa dan Tanah Air.

Burung - Haiwan Istimewa Yang Sering Disebut Dalam Al-Quran

Posted: 13 Jan 2011 09:17 AM PST

Suruhan-Nya berbunyi,

..... Dia membuatkan mereka seperti daun yang dimakan." (105:1-5)

Koyote – Passion music video

Sharing a Korean song from year 2000, Passion, by pop group Koyote

One of the reasons I started listening to Korean music was because they offered something different, something distinctive that belongs solely to K-pop.

Unfortunately the uniqueness is fading gradually over the decade imo. In the past few years K-pop is getting rather predictable, with heavy influences from western pop music, and to a certain extent from J-pop too. Ironically this is also the period when K-pop is becoming huge globally, when it's slowly losing its identity.

There is no such thing as Arab Christians- Only Don't Call Them Arabs

It is happening in Malaysia too, the definition of Malay, Arabs are so late in history. Just like what has happened in Malaya. I will say Malaya, because I do not want to insult my East Malaysian brothers. This is the bane of minorities in Muslim majority nations.

If anything good has arisen from the recent New Year's Eve Church massacre in Egypt--if such can even be imagined--it must be the sudden flurry of interest in Near Eastern Christians; the indigenous pre-Arab peoples of the Middle East whose plights and epics of exile and dispossession are an integral part of Arab history and a byproduct of the seventh century Fatah Muslim conquests.

Yet this sudden relevance of the forgotten Eastern Christians has also unleashed a bevy of articles and news reports referring to them by way of the murky "Christian Arabs" label; a misleading--if fashionable--term that deprives them of their historical memories, expropriates their cultural accretions and denudes them of their distinct ethnic identities. This is all in addition to the physical assaults to which Near Eastern Christians are being subjected.

This sort of semantic perversion begs the question "what is a 'Christian Arab', and what is it that makes, say, a Copt, an Assyrian, or a Maronite an Arab?" But before trying to fit the term "Christian Arab" to a soothing and pleasing explanation, a definition of what, or who, constitutes an Arab is perhaps in order.

According to Arab nationalist ideologue and publicist Sati' al-Husri (1880--1967) "every person who speaks Arabic is an Arab . . . [and] every individual associated with an Arabic-speaker or with an Arabic-speaking people is an Arab." Under no circumstances should those "speakers of Arabic" who reject their imputed Arabness be tolerated, decreed al-Husri; indeed, they are Arabs, he affirmed, in spite of themselves and in spite of whom they think they might be. A less sinister, albeit equally ambiguous, definition is provided by the Arab League which describes an Arab to be "a person whose language is Arabic, who lives in an Arabic speaking country, and who is in sympathy with the aspirations of the Arabic speaking peoples."

Ironically, whether validating al-Hursri's coercive premise or the Arab League's more innocuous one, both definitions remain contested, and both reveal a reductionist, ideologically tainted conception of an otherwise multiform, polyglot, ethnically varied Middle East. Indeed, a good number of Middle Easterners, including the majority of the region's Christians--and Mizrachi Jews for that matter--do not identify as Arabs, despite being native users of the Arabic language. Add to that the fact that Arabic itself, the vaunted symbol and cement of Arabness, is not a single uniform language, and the plot thickens!

An often overlooked feature of Arabic is its arrogation to be a homogenous speech form, when it is in reality an archaic textual language, closer in its nature to Medieval Latin than to any of Europe's spoken languages. In fact, what is commonly termed Arabic is on the one hand a written Standard that is never natively spoken, and on the other hand is a group of some thirty distinct languages differing from each other--and from Standard Arabic itself--to the same extent that French is different from other Romance languages and from Latin. Indeed, speaking of a uniform Arabic language common to all Arabs would be tantamount to claiming Frenchmen, Italians, Spaniards and Englishmen to be speakers of a single uniform Latin language. Early twentieth-century Egyptian writer Tawfiq Awwan dismissed this ideological chimera, arguing Egypt to have a distinctly Egyptian Language, Lebanon a sui generisLebanese language, and the Hijaz a uniquely Hijazi language; all separate languages, each with their own peculiarities, none of them warranting the appellation "Arabic." In this same vein, Harvard University linguist Wheeler Thackston wrote more recently that a Moroccan and an Iraqi, each speaking their own vernacular languages, "can no more understand each other than can a Portuguese [understand] a Rumanian."

And so, if bona fide Arabs themselves are bereft of a single mutually comprehensible national speech form, how can Middle Eastern Christians--most of whom the progenies of pre-Arab linguistic and cultural traditions--be accurately subsumed into an overarching Arab ethnos? Skilled "users" of Arabic as they might be, Copts, Maronites, Assyrians and others do not view themselves as Arabs and do not take kindly to being referred to as such. This is no aberration. It is an attitude analogous to French-speaking Swiss, Luxembourgers, Senegalese or Belgians defining themselves as native Francophones but not as Frenchmen. Yet, inveterate Arabists (and their defenders in the media and the academy) somehow still deem it justifiable to lump all pre-Arab members of venerable Near Eastern "national churches" under a reductionist "Christian Arab" umbrella.

This is nothing if not a sinister revisionism, a cruel expropriation of pre-Arab cultures, and a brazen repudiation of a critical chapter in the history of the Middle East, the history of the seventh-century Muslim conquests, and the troubled existence of Middle Eastern Christians--and Jews--under an Islam not particularly concerned with pre-Islamic narratives of its conquered territories. Some sixty years ago, using Lebanon as a pulpit to address this kind of historical amnesia and cultural suppression, Lebanese thinker Michel Chiha wrote that:

Conquerors and their conquests have all come, gone, and faded away; yet we have remained. We are the meeting place into which peoples flock and assimilate regardless of their origins. We are the crossroads where varied civilizations drop in on one another, and where bevies of beliefs, languages, and cultural rituals salute each other in solemn veneration.

In the end, this is the Middle East. Not a monolithic "Arab world," but a diverse human and cultural space composed of Arabs, to be sure, but teeming with non-Arabs, non-Muslims and non-Arabophones, including tens of millions of Christians, who possess their own cultural cognomens, and who must be spared the simplistic, and misleading, "Christian Arabs" designation.

The origins of the buzzword "Islamophobe," citing Claire Berlinski:

Robert Spencer has written before on the origins of the buzzword "Islamophobe," citing Claire Berlinski:
The neologism "Islamophobia" did not simply emerge ex nihilo. It was invented, deliberately, by a Muslim Brotherhood front organization, the International Institute for Islamic Thought, which is based in Northern Virginia....Abdur-Rahman Muhammad, a former member of the IIIT who has renounced the group in disgust, was an eyewitness to the creation of the word. "This loathsome term," he writes, "is nothing more than a thought-terminating cliche conceived in the bowels of Muslim think tanks for the purpose of beating down critics."

Muhammad describes the strategy behind the word's invention: In an effort to silence critics of political Islam, advocates needed to come up with terminology that would enable them to portray themselves as victims. Muhammad said he was present when his then-allies, meeting at the offices of the International Institute for Islamic Thought (IIIT) in Northern Virginia years ago, coined the term "Islamophobia."

Muhammad said the Islamists decided to emulate the homosexual activists who used the term "homophobia" to silence critics. He said the group meeting at IIIT saw "Islamophobia" as a way to "beat up their critics."

In other words, Muslims in the West took advantage of the fact that most of their adherents were members of ethnic minorities to exploit racial guilt, and equate the distaste of Westerners for Islamic doctrine with hostility to foreign customs and funny accents. On this theory, Robert Spencer, Bat Ye'or, Geert Wilders and Ayaan Hirsi Ali aren't opposed to sharia, honor killings, child marriage, polygamy or genital mutilation; they're terrified of hummus, hookah pipes, and shish kebabs. Now, it might very well be true that the average "man in the street" in a Western country who viscerally opposes Islam also has some measure of xenophobia; it's a universal, if regrettable, feature of human nature. Surely, some of the populist groups around the world that channel native resistance to Islamic immigration harness and trade on this less-noble motive. No doubt, many volunteers in the R.A.F. in 1940 simply hated "the Hun," without a deep understanding of National Socialist ideology. Read all of it here at Jihad Watch................

Abbas' doubletalk (Honest Reporting Canada video)

Just imagine if Netanyahu said this

Let's pretend that Binyamin Netanyahu went in front of the Knesset and declared, "Jerusalem is a Jewish city, the heart of the Jewish nation, and If Jerusalem does not remain in Jewish hands, there will never be peace."

How many op-eds would be written by the next news cycle castigating the Israeli premier for making such a statement? People would say that this proves he is a warmonger, openly sabotaging the peace process and intentionally provoking the entire Arab world. Any terror attacks that follow would have this "context" mentioned, as the media would be quick to label Arab violence as a reaction to Netanyahu's intransigence.

Yet on Wednesday, Mahmoud Abbas said: "Jerusalem is the heart of the Palestinian cause, and unless Jerusalem is the capital of an independent Palestinian state, there will not be peace."

This was reported, without the least bit of embarrassment, by the official Palestinian Arab news agency, Wafa as well as on the Ministry of Information website. And Abbas says this practically every day. Isn't this the exactly the same as a Mafia-style protection racket? Doesn't it sound suspiciously like "Do what we want, and no one will get hurt."

And then when they get what they want - they ask for more. Elder of Ziyon

A Mountain Story

Posted: 13 Jan 2011 04:45 AM PST

"A son and his father were walking on the mountains.
Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

Curious, he yells: "Who are you?"
He receives the answer: "Who are you?"

And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!"
The voice answers: "I admire you!"

Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!"
He receives the answer: "Coward!"

He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"
The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention."

Again the man screams: "You are a champion!"
The voice answers: "You are a champion!"

The boy is surprised, but does not understand.
Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE.

It gives you back everything you say or do.
Our life is simply a reflection of our actions.

If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart.
If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence.

This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life;
Life will give you back everything you have given to it."

YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S A REFLECTION OF YOU!"
