Video Porno Ariel Merosakkan 5 Bahagian Otak

Posted: 04 Feb 2011 08:57 AM PST

Memang Benar Kerajaan Lewat Kenapa Salahkan Blogger?

Anifah Nafi Kerajaan Lambat Pindahkan Rakyat Malaysia Dari Mesir

Why uphold the national language?! Even Egyptians languishing for change!

Posted: 04 Feb 2011 06:40 AM PST

Why is Ahmad Rejal placing so much emphasis on upholding the national language? So what if Egypt or any other country has a national language that everyone upholds?

According to Wikipedia, Arabic is the national language of Egypt and everyone speaks Arabic though there are variations. Probably, like what we have here in Malaysia. Malay is the national language but we have different variations of it. E.g. Kelate, a variation of spoken Malay.

Right now, the world is witnessing an uprising of the people in Egypt against Hosni Mubarak's military regime.

So, you see. It's not about the national language. It's about the the ruling regime that is oppressing the masses. If there is equality and economic progress for the people, then the country is stable. Look at successful Singapore!

Source:Carpal tunnel syndrome. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is idiopathic median neuropathy at the carpal tunnel. The pathophysiology is not completely understood but can be considered compression of the median nerve traveling through the carpal tunnel.[1] The risk factors for CTS are primarily genetic rather than environmental.[2]

The main symptom of CTS is intermittent numbness of the thumb, index, long and radial half of the ring finger.[3] The numbness usually occurs at night because we tend to sleep with our wrists flexed and is relieved by wearing a wrist splint that prevents flexion.[4] Long-standing CTS leads to permanent nerve damage with constant numbness, atrophy of some of the muscles of the thenar eminence, and weakness of palmar abduction.

There is a myth (in the sense of an unproved or false collective belief that is used to justify a social institution) that CTS manifests as pain with typing or other types of hand use.[5] Pain in carpal tunnel syndrome is primarily numbness that is so intense that it wakes one from sleep. Pain in electrophysiologically verified CTS is associated with misinterpretation of nociception and depression.[6]

Palliative treatments for CTS include use of night splints and corticosteroid injection. The only scientifically established disease modifying treatment is surgery to cut the transverse carpal ligament.[citation needed]

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is considered by some to be a form of repetitive stress injury, and as such, is caused by repetitive motions, most famously from long hours of computer keyboard use. However, while studies have found associations between some work activities and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, causality has not been demonstrated.

Treatment

There have been numerous scientific papers evaluating treatment efficacy in CTS. It is important to distinguish treatments that are supported in the scientific literature from those that are advocated by any particular device manufacturer or any other party with a vested financial interest. Generally accepted treatments, as described below, may include splinting or bracing, steroid injection, activity modification, physiotherapy (preferable), regular massage therapy treatments, chiropractic, medications, and surgical release of the transverse carpal ligament.

According to the 2007 guidelines by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons,[41] early surgery with carpal tunnel release is indicated where there is clinical evidence of median nerve denervation or the patient elects to proceed directly to surgical treatment. Otherwise, the main recommended treatments are local corticosteroid injection, splinting (immobilizing braces), oral corticosteroids and ultrasound treatment. The treatment should be switched when the current treatment fails to resolve the symptoms within 2 to 7 weeks. However, these recommendations have sufficient evidence for carpal tunnel syndrome when found in association with the following conditions: diabetes mellitus, coexistent cervical radiculopathy, hypothyroidism, polyneuropathy, pregnancy, rheumatoid arthritis, and carpal tunnel syndrome in the workplace.[41]

Immobilizing braces

A rigid splint can keep the wrist straight.

A rigid splint can keep the wrist straight.

The importance of wrist braces and splints in the carpal tunnel syndrome therapy is known, but many people are unwilling to use braces. In 1993, The American Academy of Neurology recommend a non-invasive treatment for the CTS at the beginning (except for sensitive or motor deficit or grave report at EMG/ENG): a therapy using splints was indicated for light and moderate pathology.[42] Current recommendations generally don't suggest immobilizing braces, but instead activity modification and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs as initial therapy, followed by more aggressive options or specialist referral if symptoms do not improve.[43][44][45]

Many health professionals suggest that, for best results, one should wear braces at night and, if possible, during the activity primarily causing stress on the wrists.[46][47]

Localized corticosteroid injections

Corticosteroid injections can be quite effective for temporary relief from symptoms of CTS for a short time frame while a patient develops a longterm strategy that fits with his/her lifestyle.[48] In certain patients, an injection may also be of diagnostic value. This treatment is not appropriate for extended periods, however. In general, medical professionals prescribe local steroid injections only until other treatment options can be identified. For most patients, surgery is the only option that will provide permanent relief.[49]

Other medication

A more aggressive pharmaceutical option is an injection of cortisone, to reduce swelling and nerve pressure within the carpal tunnel. Methylcobalamin (vitamin B12) has been helpful in some cases of CTS. [50]

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Operation

Release of the transverse carpal ligament is known as "carpal tunnel release" surgery. It is recommended when there is static (constant, not just intermittent) numbness, muscle weakness, or atrophy, and when night-splinting no longer controls intermittent symptoms.[51] In general, milder cases can be controlled for months to years, but severe cases are unrelenting symptomatically and are likely to result in surgical treatment.[52]

Procedure

In carpal tunnel release surgery, the goal is to divide the transverse carpal ligament in two. This is a wide ligament that runs across the hand, from the scaphoid bone to the hamate bone and pisiform. It forms the roof of the carpal tunnel, and when the surgeon cuts across it (i.e., in a line with the ring finger) it no longer presses down on the nerve inside, relieving the pressure.[53]

There are several carpal tunnel release surgery variations: each surgeon has differences of preference based on their personal beliefs and experience. All techniques have several things in common, involving brief outpatient procedures; palm or wrist incision(s); and cutting of the transverse carpal ligament.[citation needed]

The two major types of surgery are open carpal tunnel release and endoscopic carpal tunnel release. Most surgeons historically have performed the open procedure, widely considered to be the gold standard. However, since the 1990s, a growing number of surgeons now offer endoscopic carpal tunnel release.[citation needed]

Open surgery involves an incision on the palm about an inch or two in length. Through this incision, the skin and subcutaneous tissue is divided, followed by the palmar fascia, and ultimately the transverse carpal ligament.[citation needed]

Endoscopic techniques involve one or two smaller incisions (less than half inch each) through which instrumentation is introduced including a synovial elevator, probes, knives, and an endoscope used to visualize the underside of the transverse carpal ligament.[54] The endoscopic methods do not divide the subcutaneous tissues or the palmar fascia to the same degree as the open method does.[citation needed]

Many studies have been done to determine whether perceived benefits of a limited endoscopic or arthroscopic release are significant. Brown et al. conducted a prospective, randomized, multi-center study and found no significant differences between the two groups with regard to secondary quantitative outcome measurements.[55] However, the open technique resulted in more tenderness of the scar than the endoscopic method. A prospective randomized study done in 2002 by Trumble revealed that good clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction are achieved more quickly with the endoscopic method. Single-portal endoscopic surgery is a safe and effective method of treating carpal tunnel syndrome. There was no significant difference in the rate of complications or the cost of surgery between the two groups. However, the open technique caused greater scar tenderness during the first three months after surgery, and a longer time before the patients could return to work.[56]

Some surgeons have suggested that in their own hands endoscopic carpal tunnel release has been associated with a higher incidence of median nerve injury, and for this reason it has been abandoned at several centers in the United States. At the 2007 meeting of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, a former advocate of endoscopic carpal tunnel release, Thomas J. Fischer, MD, retracted his advocacy of the technique, based on his assessment that the benefit of the procedure (slightly faster recovery) did not outweigh the risk of injury to the median nerve. Despite these views, many other surgeons have embraced limited incision methods. It is considered to be the procedure of choice for many of these surgeons with respect to idiopathic carpal tunnel syndrome. Supporting this are the results of some of the previously mentioned series which cite no difference in the rate of complications for either method of surgery. Thus, there has been broad support for either surgical procedure using a variety of devices or incisions. The primary goal of any carpal tunnel release surgery is to divide the transverse carpal ligament and the distal aspect of the volar ante brachial fascia, thereby decompressing the median nerve.[57]

Efficacy

Surgery to correct carpal tunnel syndrome has a high success rate. Up to 90% of patients were able to return to their same jobs after surgery.[58][59][60] In general, endoscopic techniques are as effective as traditional open carpal surgeries,[61][62] though the faster recovery time typically noted in endoscopic procedures is felt by some to possibly be offset by higher complication rates.[63][64] Success is greatest in patients with the most typical symptoms. The most common cause of failure is incorrect diagnosis, and it should be noted that this surgery will only mitigate carpal tunnel syndrome, and will not relieve symptoms with alternative causes. Recurrence is rare, and apparent recurrence usually results from a misdiagnosis of another problem. Complications can occur, but serious ones are infrequent to rare.[citation needed]

Carpal tunnel surgery is usually performed by a hand surgeon, orthopaedic or plastic surgeon. Some neurosurgeons and general surgeons also perform the procedure.[citation needed]

Ultrasound treatment

Ultrasound to the wrist gives significant improvement in people with CTS.[65] A treatment process may consist of 20 sessions of 15 minutes of ultrasound applied to the area over the carpal tunnel at a frequency of 1 MHz, and a power of 1.0 W/cm2.[65]

Physiotherapy and occupational therapy

Current evidence demonstrates a significant benefit (level B recommendations) from splinting, ultrasound, nerve gliding exercises, carpal bone mobilization, magnetic therapy, and yoga for people with carpal tunnel syndrome.[66] However, current recommendations from the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery recognize only splinting and ultrasound as effective.[citation needed]

More pro-active ways to reduce stress on the wrists, which alleviates wrist pain and strain, involve adopting a more ergonomic work and life environment. Switching from a QWERTY computer keyboard layout to a more optimised ergonomic layout such as Dvorak was commonly cited as beneficial in early CTS studies, however some meta-analyses of these studies claim that the evidence that they present is limited.[67][68]

Long term recovery

Most people who find relief of their carpal tunnel symptoms with conservative or surgical management find minimal residual or "nerve damage".[69] Long-term chronic carpal tunnel syndrome (typically seen in the elderly) can result in permanent "nerve damage", i.e. irreversible numbness, muscle wasting and weakness.

While outcomes are generally good, certain factors can contribute to poorer results that have little to do with nerves, anatomy, or surgery type. One study showed that mental status parameters, alcohol use, yield much poorer overall results of treatment.[70]

Recurrence of carpal tunnel syndrome after successful surgery is rare.[71] If a person has hand pain after surgery, it is most likely not caused by carpal tunnel syndrome. It may be the case that the illness of a person who has hand pain after carpal tunnel release was diagnosed incorrectly, such that the carpal tunnel release has had no positive effect upon the patient's symptoms.

Carpal tunnel. From Wikipedia

In the human body, the carpal tunnel or carpal canal is the passageway on the palmar side of the wrist that connects the forearm to the middle compartment of the deep plane of the palm.[1] The tunnel consists of bones and connective tissue. Several tendons and a nerve pass through it.

The canal is narrow and when any of the nine long flexor tendons passing through it swells or degenerates, the narrowing of the canal often results in the median nerve getting entrapped or compressed, a medical condition known as carpal tunnel syndrome.

Contents

A total of nine flexor tendons[2] (not the muscles themselves) pass through the carpal tunnel:

A single nerve passes through the tunnel: the median nerve between tendons of flexor digitorum profundus and flexor digitorum superficialis

Structure

The carpus, the bony elements of the wrist, form an arch which is convex on the [[dorsal side of the hand and concave on the palmar side. The groove on the palmar side, the sulcus carpi, is covered by the flexor retinaculum, a sheath of tough connective tissue, thus forming the carpal tunnel. [3]

The narrowest section of the tunnel is located a centimetre beyond the mid-line of the distal row of carpal bones where the sectional area is limited to 1.6 cm2. [2]

The tendons of the flexor digitorum superficialis and profundus pass through a common ulnar sheath, while the tendon of the flexor pollicis longus passes through a separate radial sheath. The mesotendon shared by these tendons is attached to the radial and palmar walls of the carpal tunnel. [3]

Superficial to the carpal tunnel and the flexor retinaculum, the ulnar artery and ulnar nerve pass through the ulnar tunnel. [3]

Elbow exercises for pain (Golfer’s elbow)

  • SOURCE: Golfer's elbow. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Golfer's elbow, or medial epicondylitis, is an inflammatory condition of the elbow which in some ways is similar to tennis elbow.

The anterior forearm contains several muscles that are involved with flexing the fingers and thumb, and flexing and pronating the wrist. The tendons of these muscle come together in a common tendinous sheath which is inserted into the medial epicondyle of the humerus at the elbow joint. In response to minor injury, or sometimes for no obvious reason at all, this point of insertion becomes inflamed.

    Treatment

    Non-specific palliative treatments include:

    1. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): ibuprofen, naproxen or aspirin
    2. Heat or ice
    3. A counter-force brace or "elbow strap" to reduce strain at the elbow epicondyle, to limit pain provocation and to protect against further damage.

Before anesthetics and steriods are used, conservative treatment with an occupational therapist is attempted. Before therapy can commence, treatment such as the common rest, ice, compression and elevation (R.I.C.E.) will typically be used. This will help to decrease the pain and inflammation. The rest will help with the discomfort seeing as how Golfer's Elbow is an overuse injury. The patient can use a tennis elbow splint for compression. A pad can be placed anteromedially on the proximal forearm. [2] The splint is made in 30-45 degrees of elbow flexion. A daytime elbow pad also may be useful, by limiting additional trauma to the nerve.

Therapy will include a variety of exercises for muscle/tendon reconditioning, starting with stretching and gradual strengthening of the flexor-pronator muscles. Strengthening will slowly begin with isometrics and pregresses to eccentric exercises helping to extend the range of motion back to where it once was. After the strengthening exercises, it is common for the patient to ice the area.[3]

Simple analgesic medication has a place, as does more specific treatment with oral anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs). These will help control pain and any inflammation.[4] A more invasive treatment is the injection into and around the inflamed and tender area of a long-acting glucocorticoid (steroid) agent. After causing an initial exacerbation of symptoms lasting 24 to 48 hours, this may produce a resolution of the condition in some five to seven days.[citaThe ulnar nerve runs in the groove between the medial humeral epicondyle and the olecranon process of the ulna. It is most important that this nerve should not be damaged accidentally in the process of injecting a Golfer's Elbow.

If all else fails, epicondylar debridement (a surgery) may be effective.[citation needed] The ulnar nerve may also be decompressed surgically. [5]

The overall prognosis is good. Few patients will need to progres to steroid injection and even fewer, less than 10%, will need surgical intervention

[Video] Terkini: Hari Untuk Mubarak Berambus

    Posted: 04 Feb 2011 06:18 AM PST

Kami mahu hidup aman," kata Magdy el-Sayed, seorang guru Bahasa Inggeris berusia 35 tahun.

Ikhwanul Muslimin - Kuasa Yang Tak Boleh Dipandang Sepi

    Posted: 04 Feb 2011 03:30 AM PST

"Kita tahu rekod dasar luar mereka," kata Gelb kata beliau dipetik media Barat.

Mereka termasuk Naib Presiden PAS, Salahudin Ayub, Pengerusi Lajnah Antarabangsa PAS, Dr Syed Azman Syed Ahmad Nawawi, AJK PAS Pusat, Mohamad Sabu, Setiausaha Agung Majlis Perundingan Pertubuhan Islam Malaysia (Mapim), Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid, Ketua AMK, Shamsul Iskandar Mat Akin, Presiden PSM Dr. Nasir Hashim dan Penyelaras PSM, S. Aruchelvan dan lain-lain.

Himpunan memulakan diketuai Exco Dewan Pemuda PAS Pusat, Ridhuan Mohd Nor.

Plainclothes cops slap and rob pregnant woman

    Posted: 04 Feb 2011 01:17 AM PST

Source: http://malaysiakini.com/news/155163 (By Aidila Razak, 2/2/2011)
A pregnant woman was on Monday slapped and robbed by plainclothes police officers who broke into her shop in Sungai Buloh - and they then arrested her.
This morning, Segambut parliamentarian Lim Lip Eng received a distress call from 36-year-old Chow Soo Meng, who is eight months pregnant. She told him the police had stolen about RM20,000 in cash and several other items. "The police took several types of cigarettes, six bottles of hard liquor, mandarin oranges and three cartons of canned drinks," Chow (top) said in her report lodged at the Kepong police station. She said the officers, from the Petaling Jaya Narcotics Department, also took 30 mobile SIM cards and removed the closed-circuit TV camera recorder from her shop.

None of the items have been returned
She said when she asked for the return of the RM20,000, the officer who arrested her refused to do so and told her not to make an issue of it or risk being rearrested, Lim told Malaysiakini when contacted. The MP, who met with Chow this afternoon, said she had locked the grille door to her shop as she was alone from about 5pm on Monday, when about 10 men came about 6.30pm and demanded to be let in. "When she refused to do so, they started yelling and cursing at her and they cut open the grille. They then handcuffed her and took her to the Damansara Utama police station," he said. There, she was made to take a drug test before being taken to the Customs Department in Kelana Jaya and told that she had not paid the duties on the liquor and cigarettes. "She was asked to return to the Customs Department office in Kelana Jaya on March 2," Lim added. Chow said officers at the Kepong police station had also discouraged her from lodging her report, but relented when she insisted. In her police report, Chow said the police had suspected that she was keeping narcotic drugs in her shop.

    Investigations begin

Four officers from the Sungai Buloh station went to her shop this afternoon to begin investigations (top photo). It is learnt that the matter has been passed to the Sungai Buloh station, since the incident took place in that police district. Lim plans to visit the Damansara Utama police station on Friday morning to ask for Chow's complaint to be transferred to the Selangor contingent police headquarters. He and Chow will also request that investigations be conducted by a team that is not from the Petaling Jaya police district, whose officers were allegedly responsible. The investigating officer was not available for comment.

Sokongan Padu Untuk ADUN Sri Muda

    Posted: 04 Feb 2011 01:32 AM PST

Najib Tak Berani Kutuk Hosni Mubarak?

Bob was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was really pissed.

She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE !!"

The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway.

Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought the box back in the house.

She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.

Bob has been missing since Friday.

    "What?" said the puzzled groom.

"How can that be if you've been married ten times?"

"Well, Husband #1 was a sales representative: he kept telling me how great it was going to be.

Husband #2 was in software services: he was never really sure how it was supposed to function, but he said he'd look into it and get back to me.

Husband #3 was from field services: he said everything checked out diagnostically but he just couldn't get the system up.

Husband #4 was in telemarketing: even though he knew he had the order, he didn't know when he would be able to deliver.

Husband #5 was an engineer: he understood the basic process but wanted three years to research, implement, and design a new state-of-the-art method.

Husband #6 was from finance and administration: he thought he knew how, but he wasn't sure whether it was his job or not.

Husband #7 was in marketing: although he had a nice product, he was never sure how to position it.

Husband #8 was a psychologist: all he ever did was talk about it.

Husband #9 was a gynecologist: all he did was look at it.

Husband #10 was a stamp collector: all he ever did was... God! I miss him! But now that I've married you, I'm really excited!"

A doctor, a lawyer, a little boy and a priest were out for a Sunday afternoon flight on a small private plane. Suddenly, the plane developed engine trouble.

In spite of the best efforts of the pilot, the plane started to go down. Finally, the pilot grabbed a parachute, yelled to the passengers that they had better jump, and bailed out.

Unfortunately, there were only three parachutes remaining.

The doctor grabbed one and said "I'm a doctor, I save lives, so I must live," and jumped out.

The lawyer then said, "I'm a lawyer and lawyers are the smartest people in the world. I deserve to live."

He also grabbed a parachute and jumped.

The priest looked at the little boy and said, "My son, I've lived a long and full life. You are young and have your whole life ahead of you. Take the last parachute and live in peace."

The little boy handed the parachute back to the priest and said, "Not to worry, Father. The 'smartest man in the world' just took off with my back pack."

An elderly couple had been experiencing declining memories, so they decided to take a power memory class where one is taught to remember things by association.

A few days after the class, the old man was outside talking with his neighbor about how much the class helped him.

"What was the name of the Instructor?" asked the neighbor.

"Oh, ummmm, let's see," the old man pondered. "You know that flower, you know, the one that smells really nice but has those prickly thorns, what's that flower's name?"

    "A rose?" asked the neighbor.

"Yes, that's it," replied the old man. He then turned toward his house and shouted, "Hey, Rose, what's the name of the Instructor we took the memory class from?"

Giliran Moroko Pula: Tanggal 20 Feb, Mari Kita Demo!

    Posted: 03 Feb 2011 11:05 PM PST

    Morocco next? Protesters start organising

A growing number of Moroccan civil society groups are calling for large scale protest marches in the Kingdom. As the first protests are already being organised in Tangier and Rabat, the army is regrouping.

Following the developments in Tunisia and Egypt, Moroccan youth groups have started organising the first protest marches in the country to demand political reform and greater human rights in Morocco.

The first mass protests have already been organised in Morocco. On Sunday, the group ATTAC Morocco staged a larger demonstration in the northern city of Tangiers, with protesters focusing on "the deterioration of social conditions and high basic food prices."

The Tangier protest however was brutally stopped by security forces, according to eyewitnesses. Batons and tear gas were used to disperse demonstrators who had gathered in the Square of Nations in central Tangier. Protesters had chanted slogans of solidarity with the people of Tunisia and Egypt, demanding a "right to employment, housing and a decent life."

But Moroccan protesters have not given up, despite the brutal response by security forces. Today, there are reports from the capital, Rabat, about demonstrations in front of the Egyptian Embassy, with hundreds of protesters chanting slogans in solidarity of their counterparts in Egypt.

Further protests are now being prepared by a magnitude of groups in Morocco.

A group of young Moroccans is currently spreading the protest call through the social network Facebook, calling for demonstrations on 27 February "in front of the prefectures and the wilayas in all regions and central authorities in cities and villages, to demand the freedom of political organisation, the alternation of power and human rights."

The so-called "Movement for Freedom and Democracy Now" in a statement specifies that this protest is "part of a spontaneous global transformation that aims at giving people their rightful place in society," further calling for democracy, freedom and the adherence to popular will.

According to the statement, there is a list of demands including "the abolition of the current constitution, dissolve parliament and government, parties who have contributed to the consolidation of political corruption and take immediate real action for a political transition."

The organisers further refer to "the terrible conditions of poverty, unemployment and human rights violations and restrictions on freedom of press" in Morocco. Morocco is known to be the poorest and least developed state in North Africa, facing enormous social problems.

Also other organisations are calling for protests. A grouping of the political opposition, trade unions, human rights organisations and an association of the unemployed has issued a statement calling for rallies and demonstrations to be held next Saturday, 5 February.

Also, the Labor Council of the Democratic Labour Confederation of Morocco has called for Sunday 6 February to be a day of protest. Marches are planned for in the south-eastern town of Ouarzazate "to protest the inhumane living conditions in Morocco."

As the calls for protests are widening in Morocco, the regime is increasingly insecure. King Mohammed VI has met with French government officials and his most trusted military leaders in his private chateau outside Paris to discuss the security situation.

Several unconfirmed reports from Morocco and occupied Western Sahara agree that security forces now are being pulled out from the occupied territory to be deployed in Morocco-proper in preparation of a possible popular revolt.

The reported regrouping of Moroccan troops may leave Western Sahara - a territory whose indigenous Saharawi population is always ready to revolt - open to rebellion. Security forces stationed in Western Sahara are famed for great brutality against civilians, which could bode unwell for protesters trying to organise marches in Morocco. © afrol News

LKY really hates Malays and Islam

    Posted: 03 Feb 2011 09:11 PM PST

Lee Kuan Yew is anti-Malays, anti-Indians and anti-Islam. In fact, when he succeeded in separating Singapore from Malaysia in 1965, there was a secret plan to flush out the Malays and Indians out of the Republic. However, due to his 'good-on-the-surface' relation with the Malaysian Malay leaders, he jettisoned it.

And about 45 years later, he could not hide his disgust at the Malays and Islam in his newly-launched book 'Hard Truths to keep Singapore Going'. Of course, the Singapore Malays got insulted and are suing him, the government and Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS) for playing puppet to the govt.

LKY wrote in his book, among other things: "...we were progressing very nicely until the surge of Islam came. The other communities have easier integration … than Muslims... and today, we can integrate all religions and races, except Islam.... Muslims socially do not cause any trouble, but they are distinct and separate."

In order to facilitate integration in Singapore with its predominantly Chinese population and minority races including Malays and Indians, he urged Muslims to 'be less strict on Islamic observances.'

His comments annoyed Muslims, prompting some strong reactions in local internet forums. "Who you or your family prays and what you eat, drink and do is your business. We Muslims don't give a hoot," said one comment, telling Lee to "mind your own business."

Although his PM son Lee Hsien Loong was trying hard to calm down the situation by saying he didnt share his father's view, the Malays got more igitated as the contents of the book seemed to be 'fully'accepted' by his govt.

Former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who exchanged verbal blows with Lee over several issues during his administration, slammed the minister mentor over his comments.

"I am not surprised by his statement because to him religion is not important. For him the end justifies the means, so if he wants racial integration in Singapore, he won't let Islam stand in the way of his goals.

"The Malays over there (in Singapore) are actually afraid of the government," he claimed, adding that Muslims were under a constant siege from the authorities and had no choice but to compromise their Islamic belief.

LKY is lucky, and so is Singapore. The Malays in the Republic did not react like how the Malaysian Indians had over a novel by Abdullah Hussain, Interlok. The Malaysian Government and the Malay largest party Umno had finally agreed to erase of amend the word 'pariah' in it before it can be used as a literature reference in secondary schools.

Read the comments for my posting 'Getting rid of all the KELINGs' and you will understand the issue better.

As for the Singapore Malays, we cant interfere but the balls are at their feet. At 87, LKY is getting senile, I guess. Mungkin tengah buang tabiat....
