In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday. Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older. And, there on television, she said it was 'exciting...'Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day.....like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.

The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!

Maya Angelou said this:

ANGRY RANTING!! bersih and EO6/PSM6!

people! you just have to kick BN out come the next general election! let UMNO fall! the PM and HM must resigned!! it's so disgusting and to the horror of many what they did recently.  how they clamped down on the bersih rally, what happened during the bersih rally – and the worst of all – when they detained the six PSM members under EO!!

what a load of utter rubbish the reasons the HM and police gave for detaining them! waging war against the king…. promoting communism…. prime movers of bersih.  i get angry and yet i want to laugh. i  laugh but i  don't feel good. in fact i feel more angry, especially when one of my favourite MP was the one detained – dr jeyakumar. dr kumar who had been hailed by some (well ok maybe by me only) as 'saint' to the poor and marginalised, dr kumar, the activist doctor that many people love.

people are getting angry! people are waiting for general election to kick hard the ass of BN! it was all due to their (BN/UMNO) doing that made people angry.  look at what they did prior to 9 july to anyone or anything to do with bersih.  the more silly things they did, the more angry people get.  one of my friend who was never interested in politics or anything to do with the government, after seeing with horror, what the govt. did to berish (before and during), vow never ever to vote for BN.

you know, if the govt had not come down so hard on bersih, many people would not have known about bersih, many people would not have joined the rally on 9 july.  the PM and govt in general,  made a terrible mistake by demonising bersih.  by that, it stirred the anger in people and instead brought forward many people to support bersih!

if only the govt let the bersih rally go on peacefully, berish wouldn't be so much in the news – international news too.

i find it silly that the police did not allowed bersih to march and yet they close so many roads in the city. with the roads closed, how else can the people go to the stadium or istana, except to walk? so in a way, they were the one who forced the bersih supporters to march!! if the roads were not closed, people can still drive near to the venue or take bus/train near to the venue, thus there won't be big crowd marching no the road. but oh no, the police and the govt just had to be so bodoh-bodoh (stupid) to cause the supporters to march and to make people getting angrier and angrier!

oh yeah don't forget – another silly thing they (govt) did that made the anger rise further in people - deporting the french laywer.   for sure, everybody know the reason is because they fear what the lawyer will reveal.  see, silly again.  then of course by doing so too, the news goes international… if not, it won't go international. see, how silly they are!! their silly actions made them so bodoh, which made the public so angry!

right now i'm very angry at the detention of the PSM 6. yesterday attended the forum on 'bersih 2.0 clampdown: EO – another ISA?' and heard from the speakers and participants (who spoke up during Q&A).  the turnout was very good. the hall was packed until suaram had to bring in extra chairs. what does this tell? goes to show that many people are angry too at the EO detention of the PSM 6! we all know the reason/s for keeping the PSM6 in detention doesn't hold water at all. we all know it's political.  we all want to see them release immediately. many people are supporting them. everyday, there are candle-light vigils held at bukit aman, KL. in penang, there were two already… and last night, one was suddenly called too when we all heard about dr kumar going on a hunger strike.

well, on this saturday, there will be one event in penang too – shave your head to show your support! (see picture right below).  8.00am at bayan baru market. if you don't feel like you want to look like telly savalas (of kojak fame) or yul bryner (old stars during my era. oops! this is telling of my age), you can attend too since there will be other activities.  unfortunately i can't attend as i'll be going for st anne's feast. well depending on transport, if i go late, then i can drop in to see before going to the feast. you know what, i personally don't mind shaving my head bald… for a very good cause. well if i know one of the PSM6 personally, for sure, i don't mind to go botak. . really lah. after all, my hair grows fast and it will be fashionable to try on different head scarves/caps.

oh and i'm glad to note that PSM and some NGOs in KL will be having a 12 hrs vigil this saturday. syabas!

speaking of st anne's feast, this year, our office will be having a booth there to do evengelisation. under the penang office of human development (POHD), among others,  we will be collecting signatures for the petition for the release of the PSM6. if you are there, do come to our booth ya. i'll be pushing hard for this  since i'm  very angry at their detention. for no reasons at all they are languishing in small cells in solitary confinement and who knows subject to torture, deny their basic human rights. oh just remember at the forum on thursday, one of the speaker said that the cell is only 10 feet by 7 feet and there is no window at all and nothing else except one light.  every night you go to sleep on your comfortable soft bed in your air-con room, think of them!! think of them! they do NOT deserve to be detained there under the EO! what the %@#*!(!)^!$* is the police and our govt doing detaining them???  charge them in court if the govt. feel these people were doing wrong. stupid idiot bl***y police/govt. are blooming cowards!  they dare not charge them. they know they have nothing against them so they use the EO – another form of ISA. ABOLISH EO! ABOLISH ISA! ABOLISH BN!!!!!!

Polis gagal buktikan 'keganasan' Bersih 2.0

KUALA LUMPUR, 28 Julai: PAS mendakwa polis gagal mengaitkan Bersih 2.0 dengan keganasan apabila sehingga kini tidak mendedahkan hasil siasatan penemuan senjata berbahaya dan t-shirt kuning berlogo Bersih beberapa hari sebelum perhimpunan Bersih 2.0 9 Julai lalu.

Naib Presiden PAS, Salahuddin Ayub berkata, beliau yakin dakwaan penemuan senjata tersebut hanyalah propaganda Umno BN yang menggunakan pihak polis untuk memburuk-burukkan Bersih 2.0.

"Apa yang berlaku sebelum perhimpunan Bersih itu hanyalah propaganda Umno BN untuk menggambarkan peserta Bersih satu kumpulan militan untuk menjatuhkan kerajaan secara tidak demokratik.Ini matlamat sebenarnya," kata beliau ketika dihubungi Harakahdaily hari ini.

Awal pagi 4 Julai lalu, polis menemui empat bahan letupan molotov coktail yang diletakkan dalam plastik hitam di Jalan Raja Laut yang didakwa akan digunakan ketika perhimpunan Bersih 2.0 pada 9 Julai.

Bahan letupan itu didakwa ditemui bersama beberapa senjata tajam seperti pisau dan parang serta 15 mercun bola dan t-shirt berlogo bertulisan Bersih yang dibungkus dalam plastik hitam dan diletakkan dalam pasu bunga di belakang pusat beli-belah Sogo.

Salahuddin berkata, apa yang menghairankan, polis gagal membuktikan senjata tersebut digunakan peserta perhimpunan Bersih 2.0, malah perhimpunan berlangsung aman melainkan gangguan daripada pihak polis sendiri.

"Ternyata pada hari itu kita berjaya mengadakan perhimpunan yang ternyata aman dan tidak pernah sekali-kali mencderakan atau merosakkan harta awam.

"Memang kita berjaya membuktikan kita tak bawa apa-apa senjata dan bahan-bahan bukti itu perlu diisytiharkan oleh pihak keselamatan apa statusnya.

"Lepas perhimpunan Bersih kita tak tahu status barang-barang tersebut dan ke mana pergi baju kuning yang dirampas polis," katanya yang juga ahli Parlimen Kubang Kerian.

'Cerita' yang diada-adakan

Sementara itu, Timbalan Ketua Penerangan PAS Pusat, Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaluddin menyifatkan dakwaan penemuan barang-barang tersebut sebagai "cerita" yang sama dengan kes penemuan parang dalam kereta yang dipandu Aminulrasyid Amzah, remaja yang mati ditembak polis April tahun lalu.

Parang itu ditemui oleh polis di bahagian bawah tempat duduk penumpang di sebelah kiri kereta yang dipandu oleh Aminulrasyid, 15, sedangkan dalam keterangan tiga saksi selepas itu, mereka mendakwa tidak pernah meletakkan parang itu di dalam kereta dan tidak pernah melihat Aminulrasyid membawa senjata itu.

Menurut Nizar, polis sengaja mengada-adakan cerita untuk memfitnah peserta Bersih 2.0.

"Saya letak cerita ini (penemuan senjata dan t-shirt Bersih) sama dengan kes Aminulrasyid dahulu, episod yang sama, fitnah dari pihak polis dan mereka kena minta maaf kepada rakyat Malaysia kerana memfitnah.

"Rakyat tak buat macam itu tapi polis mengada-ngadakan cerita jadi terbukti polis sendiri yang buat fitnah," kata beliau yang juga dihubungi Harakahdaily hari ini.

Sehubungan itu, beliau mempertikai tiadanya sebarang tangkapan yang dibuat pihak polis berhubung dakwaan penemuan senjata berbahaya yang dikaitkan dengan perhimpunan Bersih 2.0 itu.

"Kita katakan kalau betul apa yang polis dakwa, dah tentulah ada seorang dua yang ditangkap dan dakwa mereka tapi sampai sekarang tak ada sesiapa pun yang ditangkap.

"Kenapa tak ditangkap orang yang bawa barang-barang berbahaya itu? Jadi ini adalah pembohongan mereka sebelum perhimpunan Bersih. Semasa perhimpunan banyak lagi pembohongan dan begitu juga selepas perhimpunan," katanya yang juga ahli Parlimen Bukit Gantang. -HD

Apa yang JELAS berlaku ialah di sebaliknya. Rakyat berjaya membuktikan bahawa polis lebih banyak menimbulkan aksi kekacauan dan keganasan di sepanjang perhimpunan Bersih 9 Julai itu.

Tetapi Polis masih dengan sindrom penafian dan sindrom penipuan. Menolak dan menyangkal mereka bertindak ganas. Sedangkan bukti-bukti nyata melalui foto dan video mendedahkan kisah zalim dan ganas mereka berlaku di sepanjang perhimpunan diadakan.

Apa yang JELAS berlaku ialah di sebaliknya. Rakyat berjaya membuktikan bahawa polis lebih banyak menimbulkan aksi kekacauan dan keganasan di sepanjang perhimpunan Bersih 9 Julai itu.

Morale of MACC staff not hit by officers' suspension

PORT DICKSON, July 28 – MACC deputy commissioner (management and professionalism) Datuk Zakaria Jaafar said the suspension of three MACC officers from their duties in relation to the late Teoh Beng Hock case, will not affect the morale of the other officers and staff of the commission.
He said the MACC officers treated such matters as challenges.
"We train our officers to handle challenges, in fact they become more resilient, disciplined and efficent in their work," he told the media after closing a basic training course for MACC officers here today.
He was commenting on the suspension of the three MACC officers and the special task force set up to investigate allegations they carried out aggressive questioning which drove the late Teoh to suicide.
A total of 57 MACC contract officers completed their training today and would be made permanent staff if they achieve the required perfomance and commitment after two years of service.
Teoh, 30, political secretary to a Selangor state executive councillor, was found dead on July 16, 2009, on the fifth floor corridor of Plaza Masalam in Shah Alam, Selangor, after giving a statement at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office on the 14th floor of the same building.
A Royal Commission of Inquiry into his death, in its report released on July 21, determined that Teoh committed suicide after being put under duress by three MACC officers who handled his interrogation.
The RCI recommended that action be taken against the three officers. They have since been suspended pending further investigation.

Does MACC have anymore conscience as an organisation?

Obviously, not.

That's why the morale of MACC is still intact!


Majnun Yang Masih Tergilakan Laila

Usaha tiga tahun gagal, Umno masih harapkan kerjasama PAS

SHAH ALAM, 28 Julai — Meskipun usaha tiga tahun masih belum berjaya, Ketua Penerangan Umno Datuk Ahmad Maslan berkata, parti itu masih berharap PAS dapat bekerjasama dengan Umno bagi menyatu padukan umat Islam dan Melayu di negara ini terutamanya dengan ketibaan bulan Ramadan kali ini.

"Walaupun tangan yang dihulurkan oleh Umno tidak disambut sebelum ini tetapi Umno tidak pernah menutup pintu rundingan kepada PAS apatah lagi sempena bulan Ramadan," katanya dipetik Bernama Online.

Umno mengusahakan perbincangan dengan PAS sejak selepas pilihan raya umum ke-12 Mac 2008.

Terdahulu Ahmad menutup Forum Perdana Menjana Umatan Wahidah anjuran Umno Bahagian Kota Raja di sini malam tadi.

Ahmad yang juga Timbalan Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri berkata, kesanggupan Umno untuk bekerjasama dengan PAS bukanlah kerana Umno berada dalam keadaan terdesak tetapi untuk masa hadapan umat Islam terutamanya dalam soal sosio-ekonomi.

"Lagipun, sejak PAS menukar haluan perjuangannya daripada memperjuangkan penubuhan negara Islam kepada negara berkebajikan, akan memudahkan lagi kerjasama kedua-dua parti memandangkan Umno telah lama mengamalkan konsep negara berkebajikan ini," katanya.

Ahmad berkata penduduk bukan Melayu tidak perlu bimbang jika orang Melayu dalam Umno dan PAS bersatu kerana orang Melayu akan kurang berpolitik dan lebih menumpukan perhatian untuk membangunkan tahap sosioekonomi mereka.

Laporan media menyebut kepimpinan Umno dan PAS telah mengadakan pertemuan ke arah kerjasama mereka pada 24 Disember lalu.

PAS sudah banyak mengesahkan ia akan meneruskan kerjasama dengan PKR dan DAP menerusi perikatan Pakatan Rakyat.

Pendirian itu turut ditekankan ketika Muktamar PAS awal bulan lalu. -TMI


Kisah Majnun Yang Tergilakan Laila

Hidung tak mancung pipi tersorong-sorong. Inilah perasaan yang menimpa pemimpin Umno sekarang apabila sedaya upaya berusaha menjalinkan hubungan dengan PAS.

Sedangkan ia tidak lebih seperti bertepuk sebelah tangan.

"Saya pun tak faham kenapa perkara ini boleh berlaku, macam cerita Majnun pula apabila seorang pengembala kambing berhajat untuk mengahwini anak raja.

"Macam-macam kerenah yang dibuat oleh Majnun sehingga pada suatu hari dia duduk seorang diri di bawah pokok sementara menunggu kambing sedang makan rumput, Majnun bercakap seorang diri.

"Apabila kawan dia tanya kamu bercakap dengan siapa, lalu Majnun menjawab, saya sedang bercakap Laila, seorang anak raja.

"Macamana seorang pengembala kambing mahu mengahwini anak raja. Mahu tidak mahu dia menulis nama Laila atas pasir. Dia tulis nama Laila lalu dia baca sendiri berulang kali.

"Kawan dia bertanya lagi, kamu bercakap dengan siapa, lalu dia jawab lagi dengan Laila. Mana Laila, kawan dia tanya, ini Majnun menunjukkan nama Laila yang dia tulis di atas pasir,"
katanya Menteri Besar Kelantan ketika ditemui di pejabatnya hari ini.

The "V Sign"

The age-old 'V sign' comes in two formats: one with the palm faced outwards, and one with the palm inwards. In America the two hand signals mean the same thing – 'victory', as popularised by Richard Nixon, or 'peace and love', which seemed to become the primary meaning after anti-Vietnam protesters used it during the 60s.

However, if the outside of your hand is facing your target, you're giving somebody a long-established insult in Great Britain and many English-speaking countries such as Australia, Ireland and New Zealand.

Winston Churchill famously (?notoriously) used the 'incorrect' version of the V sign during the early years of the war, switching round later when he'd been told by his advisors that he wasn't exactly giving the lower social orders a positive message.

The V sign is also considered rude in Italy, especially if you place your nose between the two fingers, making the gesture resemble a crude vagina.

I myself have almost seen a fight start as a result of an American tourist ordering drinks in an English pub: when asked how many pints he wanted, he simply stuck two fingers up and looked straight into the eyes of the barman – perfectly normal on the other side of the Atlantic (it's actually the signal for the number 2 in American Sign Language), but it's fighting talk to the British.

'Half-past-six' and CLOCKS with 10:10 Hand Positions

I had read somewhere that during the British time, mixed blooded whites or Anglos-(others) were only allowed to the exclusive clubs for Whites only after 6-30 PM in British Malaya (now Malaysia & Singapore). So some used the derogatory term "Half-past-six" as a compound adjective ( in Malaysia and Singapore) slang as an  "inferior" or "of poor quality" MIXED –BLOODED Whites.

 (The term Anglo is used as a prefix to indicate a relation to the Angles, England or the English people, as in the terms Anglo-Saxon, Anglo-American, Anglo-Celtic, Anglo-African and Anglo-Indian. Taken from Wikipedia)

If we call or pronounce 10-10 in Cantonese, it sounds like "Continuous", "Everyday", "Always" or "Forever". So Chinese likes this number. Malaysian and Singaporean Malays and Indians also are used to those beliefs and although not very strong they like this. Likewise they like number eights e.g. 888 but scared of 4 which sounds like death. Extension of westerners belief of 13, when 1+3=4 again in numerical belief. Even in Malay Muslim dominated capital of Putra Jaya phone numbers were ful with 8s.

And the 10-10 position of clock hands are like a "V" VICTORY sign.

LATELY there has been a lot of talk by politicans about our being a
"half-past-six" nation. Where did that expression come from and what does it
really mean? Is it only applicable in the Malaysian context or is it widely  used in other countries as well? – Hamdan Ibrahim

"Half-past-six" as a compound adjective is Malaysian and Singaporean  slang for "inferior" or "of poor quality". It was much more in use in the '50s  and '60s than it is now.

I looked up several dictionaries and only found the adjective in an  online dictionary called Double-Tongued Word Wrester Dictionary which specialises in slang,  jargon, etc. This dictionary defines the word as "bad; shoddy, slipshod".

All the examples it cites come from Malaysia or Singapore. In fact, I
have not heard or seen this expression used by people outside these two
countries.

As for its origin, I don't really know. My guess is that it came from the
fact that when it is half-past six, both hands of the clock point downwards. A
'thumbs down' as it were.

Aesthetics

I personally think that the 10:10 position (sometimes
10:12 or 10:08) was adopted for pictures of clocks and watches because it is   symmetric and looks better. Today the symmetric positions are both aesthetic   and customary. Other symmetric hand positions are also used, but not as  frequently. Examples include 8:20, 8:18, and 2:50. Reviewing some Seth Thomas   clock catalog illustrations, I see a gradually increasing symmetry of the   hands as the catalogs progress from 1878 to 1940.

"Itu Bukan Bararuddin" - Keluarga Sangkal Lelaki Dalam Rakaman Video Polis

Keluarga Allahyarham Baharuddin Ahmad hari ini tampil menafikan lelaki dalam rakaman CCTV yang ditayangkan polis di saluran televisyen perdana adalah beliau.

Menurut anak saudaranya, Azhar Kassim, pihak keluarga menolak sekeras-kerasnya lelaki dalam video tersebut adalah arwah Baharudin dan mereka juga kesal dengan tindakan polis menayangkan video itu.

"Video itu bukan arwah, kami menafikan sekeras-kerasnya itu adalah beliau.

"Setakat ini pihak peguam keluarga memperincikan beberapa alasan kami menolak bahawa itu adalah Baharudin,"
kata Azhar ketika dihubungi KeadilanDaily.com.

Menurut Azhar, mereka ada alasan yang kukuh mengapa lelaki dalam video itu bukan arwah Baharudin.

"Kami ada alasan yang kukuh dan kuat kerana video yang ditunjukkan tidak selari dengan gambar arwah semasa dibawa keluar daripada Avenue K oleh pegawai perubatan.

"Mulanya gambar yang ditunjuk, pakai seluar jeans, tapi masa dibawa keluar pakai seluar hitam. Tapi keluarga menegaskan bahawa semasa keluar dari rumah untuk ke perhimpunan Bersih, arwah pakai baju putih berseluar hitam,"
kata beliau.

Selain itu, bentuk fizikal arwah Baharudin yang amat dikenali ahli keluarganya menguatkan lagi keyakinan mereka lelaki dalam video itu bukan beliau.

"Kalau tengok video itu, rupa yang kononnya Baharudin adalah cengkung, tapi muka sebenar arwah bentuk bulat
.

"Manakala cara jalan arwah tidak sama, kami percayai arwah sebelum ini jatuh berdekatan KLCC, takkan boleh berlari masuk," ujarnya.

Azhar seterusnya menyifatkan tayangan video itu sebagai mengganggu siasatan yang masih lagi berjalan ke atas kematian Baharudin.

"Sepatutnya polis berbincang dengan keluarga dan peguam sebelum keluarkan video itu, ini sedang mengganggu siasatan. Tindakan polis hanya mahu melepaskan batuk di tangga, nak senang semuanya," katanya.

Pengarah Keselamatan Dalam Negeri dan Ketenteraman Awam (KDNKA) Bukit Aman, Datuk Salleh Mat Rasid Jumaat lalu mendakwa kononnya tulang rusuk Baharudin patah mungkin disebabkan rawatan kecemasan yang diberikan ke atasnya.

Beliau turut mendakwa kononnya gigi lelaki berusia 58 tahun itu mungkin patah disebabkan tiub bantuan pernafasan yang dimasukkan ke dalam mulutnya.

Salleh juga mendakwa, tiada gas pemedih mata dilepaskan di KLCC dan tiada anggota polis berada di lokasi Baharudin meninggal dunia. -KD

TBH: RCI terlepas pandang penilaian risiko bunuh diri

ANALISIS Satu daripada bukti-bukti utama yang digunakan oleh suruhanjaya siasatan diraja (RCI) untuk menyokong kesimpulan kontroversinya bahawa Teoh Beng Hock telah membunuh diri, ialah laporan pakar psikiatri Paul Edward Mullen (gambar).

Selepas meneliti laporan 11-muka yang dikemukakan dalam siasatan tersebut oleh Mullen - profesor emeritus psikiatri forensik dari Universiti Monash yang dibawa oleh Majlis Peguam - didapati lebih banyak faktor yang menunjuk kepada Teoh tidak membunuh diri, dan bukan sebaliknya.

Ini, bagaimanapun, nampaknya seolah-olah telah terlepas pandang oleh RCI.

Dalam penilaian risiko bunuh diri, Mullen mengklasifikasikan
Teoh dalam "kumpulan yang paling rendah berisiko untuk membunuh diri ketika berada dalam tahanan Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM).

Dia tidak membuat kesimpulan Teoh telah membunuh diri, dengan menggambarkan setiausaha politik DAP itu kekurangan faktor-faktor yang biasanya terdapat pada mereka yang boleh membunuh diri.

Mullen menulis bahawa dia mendapati Teoh mempunyai pekerjaan tetap, teman wanita yang akan dikahwininya tidak lama lagi, hubungan kekeluargaan yang rapat, ramai teman dan rakan sekerja dan tidak ada masalah kewangan yang diketahui.


Katanya, semua itu merupakan faktor-faktor sosial yang mengurangkan risiko membunuh diri.

Teoh, katanya, berada di peringkat awal kehidupan dewasa (25-40 tahun), tidak mempunyai sejarah cubaan membunuh diri atau memudaratkan diri sendiri, tidak berjudi berlebihan, dan tidak mempunyai sejarah keluarga membunuh diri.

Menurut Mullen, ia adalah faktor-faktor yang mengurangkan kemungkinan untuk membunuh diri. -mk


SNIPPET – BN MP’S AND NAJIB

The Malaysian Insider reports that DPM Muhyiddin pledges RM100,000 to all BN Member of Parliament (MP) supposedly to fund minor projects within their respective constituencies. My question is why only to BN MP's, and if the allocation is coming from taxpayers money, are the opposition MP's not entitled to such an allocation? I would understand if the allocation is coming from party fund, but if it isn't, I think the opposition MP's too deserve to get a similar allocation.

I simply cannot understand the reason why are the opposition MP's being discriminated, and only BN MP's are the preferred lot. Are the opposition MP's not the elected representative of the people of this country, the very people that voted the BN to power? Or is the BN disavowing the people that voted the opposition as non Malaysian citizens?

This is a dangerous precedent set by the BN government that can make them lose further their popularity, and even be ousted in the next GE. Losing a constituency does not mean that the voters deserve to be victimized? Losing only means that the candidate isn't popular enough or maybe there is nothing good about him, or the commonly word used now is that the candidate isn't a winnable candidate. Now who do you blame if the BN candidate loses? Definitely not the voters, especially so today when even our kampong folks knows how to choose i.e. a 'saint' or a 'devil'. And devils are easily found among the many contending candidates today.

Now there are rumors floating around that the 13 GE is expected to be held before the end of the year. I expect this to be true because PM Najib need to qualify and confirm his status as a truly elected PM, and not a PM by default. Former PM Abdullah Badawi did call for an election soon after being appointed as the PM and won resoundingly. Najib missed that golden opportunity to call for a snap election when his popularity was riding high. I dare not say the same now for Najib whose popularity is obviously too dented by the many 'errors and misjudgment' that he has committed. I even notice that he has lost his focus when making an impromptu speech. The words and language he uses is no longer appealing nor is it soothing to the ear; it is as if he is desperate and speaks out of anger and disappointment.

The walk-about that Najib does so often now, I think to appease the people, and more so to gauge his popularity is sometimes marred by the very people that surrounds him. If Najib's walk-about is aimed at meeting the people, then the people must be allowed to extend their hands to Najib. But what I saw on You Tube of an incident where a supposedly Bersih supporter was dragged away from handing a letter to Najib by the police, only makes a total mockery of Najib's walk-about. Had the Bersih supporter been allowed to hand the letter, it would have boosted the image of Najib as someone who cares regardless of who the person was. Making Najib too exclusive and out-of-bound to the people's reach makes the walk-about a poor publicity stunt. Maybe, I do not blame Najib for this, but I blame it on the overzealous and over protective police escorts that surrounds Najib like a caged lion.

A Sister's Grief

At the "BERSIH 2.0 Crack-Down: "EO Another ISA" Forum" last night, it must have been difficult for Dr Prema Devaraj, younger sister of Dr Jeyakumar Devaraj, to recount the memories of the ordeal following the detention of EO6. Not many could have pulled it through but Prema did - beautifully! Her face, though weary, did not belie the grief within her. The sea of faces looking right at her must have given her the inner strength she needed to speak so movingly.


On that fateful night, she recounted how there were only ten supporters waiting outside the Kepala Batas Police Station and she wished that there could have been more that evening to cry for their release - the volume of support might have rattled the police.

Dr Prema went on to present the biodata of the EO6 - all of whom had one thing in common - their earnest and sincere effort to bring about social equality, gender equality and the eradication of poverty via various programmes.

Who are the EO6?

1. Sarat Babu
Born on 12.11.86, Sarat Babu is a local activist in Kampung Chepor and has been active in the cause since 2004. He is one of the founder members of Alaigal, working in the Bercham. Babu was a coordinator in Perak for JERIT and was a tutor for 6 years. He is a part-time law student in Universiti Malaya. Recently, Babu was selected as Youth Chairman of Socialist Party of Malaysia (PSM)

2. Chon Kai
A Penangite, Chon Kai has been an activist since his university days at USM. He is a member of the Central Committee of Parti Sosialis Malaysia and the former coordinator in SUARAM Pulau Pinang. Chon Kai is a full-time activist in PSM and has been the Coordinator of PSM's international relations, Editor of Akhbar Berita Sosialis (Socialist News Daily) PSM in Mandarin which is published once every two months not forgetting that he composed many songs about the leftist struggle.

3. Letchuman
Letchumanan, treasurer of the PSM Sungei Siput branch, is in his 40's. Married to Selvi, they both have two children - Devan and Poorni. Both are well brought up and top scorers in their school. The son of a rubber tapper, Letchu, has been proactively organized evening classes for neighbouring children in the Heawood plantation. He has been active in empowering workers to stand up for their rights. You can read about him HERE.

4. M Sugumaran
M Sugumaran is the liaison member of PSM Perak, coordinator for May Day program and often the negotiator with police when a demonstration takes place in Perak. He is married to Pushpa and they both have three children. He is also the Sungei Siput branch chairman.

According to Arutchelvan, Secretary-General of PSM, "when Sugu was arrested on 2 July, he spoke to me through the phone. He said, "I am Ok, please make sure someone will take my mother to the hospital".

5. Sarasvathy Muthu
Sarasvathy Muthu has been involved in activism since she was 17. She started working for Young Christian Workers (YCW). Two years later, she organized textile and food industry workers in Jelapang and Tasek factory level and also the state level to form a union body involved in picketing and strike. From then, she has travelled to various parts of SEA to represent Malaysia at conferences. Saras is actively involved in women's groups networks such as AWAM and WDC in discussing the challenges of the female working community. As a full time activist in Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM), Saras contended in the 2008 elections for DUN Jelapang. Even though she lost,she has been servicing the constituency with a big heart.

6. Dr Michael Jeyakumar Devaraj

According to the latest news HERE, Dr. Jeyakumar is on a hunger strike. There will be a candlelight vigil tonight at 8p.m. Speakers' Square, Esplanade in Penang. Please come and show your support. 

Dr Prema expressed her appreciation to the three lawyers (all ladies) who were there to help EO6 when they were detained on July 2nd, namely Lim Kah Cheng, Karen Lai and Agatha Foo. They were released and shortly thereafter re-arrested. Handcuffed but with heads held high, they were taken in a convoy of cars to Bukit Aman KL.

She expressed her disappointment and outrage at the totally unnecessary and excessive use of force by the police. According to Dr Prema, the six of them are such gentle and dedicated activists that they would have taken the bus at their own expense to go to Bukit Aman if they had been summoned. There was no need to use taxpayers' money to transport them in so many cars. She explained that her brother was driven to KL in one car with FOUR other policemen and the others in different cars.

Dr Prema lamented that the last time she saw her brother was on 15th of July. The EO6 are being detained at different police stations namely Dang Wangi, Selayang, Travers, Jinjang, Petaling and Bukit Aman.

She explained that PSM is a registered political party working within a democratic framework. Like any other legitimate organization, PSM holds meetings, organizes programmes and networks with socialist organizations all over the world. It is no crime to have socialist ideas or to be different from BN and PR.

"Surely in a democracy, differences of opinions are allowed," she said, "and the government has to recognize that PSM has been dedicating itself to the service of the poor and marginalized groups."

The level of insecurity being displayed is by a government that is surely losing power.

She gave her a vote of thanks to all who have been loyally giving their support and urged more to speak up for the release of EO6.

When a government shudders at a yellow t-shirt and uses the tools of the state and arbitrary laws, it is exceedingly clear that at the next elections, they have to be voted OUT.

Reaksi kerajaan Barisan Nasional terhadap BERSIH 2.0 mencungkil ketidakpuasan orang ramai, terutamanya orang muda, yang melihat bagaimana elit pemerintah semakin hari semakin tidak mewakili rakyatnya.

Kerajaan telah menyalahgunakan institusi awam untuk menjaga kepentingan diri - termasuk memanipulasikan media, mempergunakan polis untuk menguasai rakyat, seolah-olah dirinya raja yang mana rakyat kena ikut cakapnya.

"Jadi, 9 Julai (perhimpunan BERSIH 2.0) tu, is a big middle finger (jari tengah) to them, sebenarnya. It's a big f*** you to them juga. Ya, dia suruh kita jangan pakai yellow (kuning), we say f*** you, kita akan pakai apa-apa baju yang kita nak pakai. They said you tak boleh turun ke jalan, we say f*** you, this is our country, this is our rights. Dan kita akan jalan, whether you like it or not, because we are only exercising our rights untuk kebebasan berhimpun."

Demikianlah kata-kata Fahmi Reza, Pengarah filem "10 tahun Sebelum Merdeka" dalam forum "Sebelum & Selepas 709: Apa Kata Anak Muda?", anjuran bersama Free Public Forum Malaysia (FPF), Amnesty International Malaysia, dan Institute for Democracy & Economic Affairs (IDEAS) di Dewan Perhimpunan Cina KL-Selangor, semalam.

Ramai panelis dan hadirin yang bersetuju, malah kagum dengan kejayaan rakyat Malaysia untuk menembusi sekatan polis dan menyertai perhimpunan BERSIH 2.0, lebih-lebih lagi dibadai dengan ugutan, amaran keras dan sebagainya daripada pihak pemerintah sebelum 709.

Selain Fahmi Reza, forum ini membariskan bekas Pengerusi Solidariti Mahasiswa Malaysiam Shazni Munir; Faisal Aziz dari Amnesty International, Setiausaha Pentadbiran DEMA, Wong Swee Nee, aktivis JERIT dan PSM Bawani, dan Afif dari IDEAS sebagai ahli panel. Diskusi yang bertindih dengan forum isu Teoh Beng Hock (di bangunan yang sama diskusi diadakan), candle light vigil untuk EO6 (di Dataran Merdeka) semalam, menarik kira-kira 80 orang.

Beberapa orang hadirin yang berkongsi pandangan dalam sesi soal-jawab menyahut apa yang dikatakan Fahmi, iaitu reaksi kerajaan terhadap BERSIH yang mengeruhkan keadaan. Seorang hadirin mendakwa dirinya tersinggung dengan label negatif yang dilontarkan Perdana Menteri terhadap peserta perhimpunan sebagai pengkhianat (traitor), kurang ajar dan sebagainya, sedangkan beliau hanya berhimpun untuk meluahkan pandangannya.

"BERSIH" menjadi buah mulut

Perhimpunan BERSIH 2.0 disertai mereka yang berasal dari latar belakang yang pelbagai, malah ramai antara mereka yang turun ke jalan raya buat kali pertama, menurut pengamatan Fahmi Reza. Beliau melihat 709 mungkin petanda awal manifestasi kebangkitan rakyat, khususnya orang muda; bagaimanapun mengingatkan bahawa sama ada kebangkitan itu mampu diteruskan atau dimatikan bergantung kepada usaha kita semua.

Faisal Aziz yang terakhir berucap untuk pusingan pertama, mendahului dengan "ucapan tahniah kepada rakyat Malaysia, kerana "terma demokrasi itu kini diraihkan di jalan raya, dan bukan hanya di buku sahaja". Beliau menyifatkan penyertaan perhimpunan sungguh menggalakkan, terutamanya "anak-anak muda yang tak pernah terlibat dengan organisasi human rights, atau organisasi seperti IDEAS, ataupun tampil ke depan untuk berdiskusi intelek, atau discourse intelektual lain."

Menurut pemerhatian Faisal, anak-anak muda yang tidak menyentuh soal politik dalam sembang-sembang teh tarik mereka sebelum ini, kini semakin "celik" dan mula berbincang mengenai "BERSIH". Bagaimanapun, beliau melahirkan kebimbangannya terhadap penduduk kampung yang lebih terpengaruh dengan maklumat media arus perdana, di mana mereka enggan berbincang mengenai "BERSIH".

Namun, pengalaman Bawani agak berbeza, beliau mendapati orang-orang kampungnya yang sebelum ini tidak bercakap pasal politik, kini bercakap pasal "BERSIH". "Sekurang-kurangnya mereka tahu sesuatu mengenai BERSIH, lebih baik daripada langsung tidak tahu apa-apa mengenainya," kata Bawani. Mungkin ia bukan kesedaran yang tinggi, tetapi memadai buat peringkat permulaan, kata Bawani.

709 lebih daripada 8 tuntutan BERSIH

Afif pula bersetuju dengan Fahmi, bahawa makna perhimpunan BERSIH pada 9 Julai 2011 lebih daripada lapan tuntutan yang dikemukakan BERSIH 2.0. Beliau menghurai bagaimana masalah yang menimpa rakyat dalam kehidupan harian, misalnya inflasi, korupsi, penyelewengan dan sebagainya telah mendorong mereka untuk turun ke jalan raya.

Swee Nee pula menuduh bahawa media yang sepatutnya memupuk kesedaran masyarakat terhadap "lapan tuntutan BERSIH', mengalihkan tumpuan kepada isu-isu seperti "sama ada BERSIH haram", "adakah BERSIH mendapat permit perhimpunan", "siapa dalang di sebalik BERSIH" dan sebagainya, ketika membuat liputan sebelum perhimpunan 709.

Afif mengambil kesempatan untuk menyanggah logik kerajaan bahawa hak berhimpun golongan minoriti perlu dinafikan demi kepentingan majoriti. Beliau menyimpulkan bahawa apabila kita menafikan hak segelintir orang minoriti, pada masa yang sama kita juga akan menafikan hak semua orang. Beliau mengambil contoh 709, "Untuk menafikan (hak) 50 ribu orang yang masuk KL itu, polis telah menafikan (hak) ratusan ribu orang yang duduk dan nak masuk KL."

Impak BERSIH: Sebelum atau selepas 709?

Shazni Munir memberi pandangan bahawa bilangan yang turun pada 709 sebenarnya tidak penting, tetapi impaknya merebak kepada rakyat yang neutral dan tidak turun ke jalan raya selepas 709 - apabila rakyat menyaksikan sendiri bagaimana mereka yang mahu menyampaikan pandangan dilayan sebegitu rupa oleh polis dan kerajaan.

Faisal bersetuju dengan pandangan Shazni, bahawa orang ramai mula berfikir sama ada lapan tuntutan BERSIH itu relevan, atau terlalu berat untuk dilaksanakan selepas 709. Impak BERSIH lebih terasa selepas 709 berikutan keganasan polis, yang menyebabkan orang ramai mula bersimpati terhadap BERSIH, pada masa yang sama, cuba menyelami apa sebenarnya BERSIH 2.0.

Bagaimanapun, ketika mengulas pandangan yang dilontarkan Shazni Munir, seorang hadirin menganggap impak BERSIH telah bermula sebelum perhimpunan pada 9 Julai. Mohd Fareez: Saya bukan teroris

PETALING JAYA: Setiausaha Politik Ahli Parlimen Ampang, Mohd Fareez Kamal Intidzam yang ditahan polis ketika majlis pelancaran pengibaran bendera Jalur Gemilang oleh Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak semalam menegaskan beliau ada hak untuk berjumpa dan menegur perdana menteri.

"Saya hanya seorang rakyat. PM adalah hak rakyat. Maka adalah hak untuk saya berjumpa dan menegur PM kerana PM itu milik rakyat.

Demi rakyat, saya sayangkan negara saya. Demi rakyat, saya mahu PM letak jawatan," katanya dalam kenyataan media hari ini.

Beliau bersama enam ahli AMK yang lain ditahan di KL Sentral semalam kerana dikatakan cuba menyampaikan memorandum kepada Najib.

Bagaimanapun, Mohd Fareez menegaskan beliau bukan seorang teroris.

"Dear PM, my name is Fareez. And I'm not a terrorist."

"Susulan laporan penahanan saya dan aktivis Bersih lain sehingga tempoh 24 jam ini saya telah diserang hebat di twitter, facebook dan blog pro-Umno bahawa kononnya saya ditahan kerana cubaan mensabotaj program edaran Jalur Gemilang.

"Malah ada yang melampau sehingga mendakwa bahawa saya merancang mahu mencedera dan membunuh Perdana Menteri hanya kerana kapasiti lain saya sebagai pengasas Pertubuhan Revolusi Anak Muda Malaysia (PRAMM).

"Ingin saya ingatkan kepada tentera media upahan Umno dan Najib, hattaPapa Gomo sekalipun, bahawa jika Najib terus-terusan menipu, menindas dan membuli rakyat, bukan sahaja rakyat akan menolak beliau dan Umno-BN pada PRU13 kelak, malah tidak mustahil ada yang akan sanggup membunuhnya juga nanti.

"Maka, demi memelihara keselamatan PM, saya menggesa agar seluruh jentera Umno jangan mencabar kesabaran rakyat lagi," katanya.

Mohd Fareez berkata, penahanan semalam juga menggambarkan seolah-olah beliau dan aktivis lain umpama pengganas di negara ini.

"Hanya sebuah kerajaan yang bersalah pada rakyatnya sahaja akan takut berhadapan dengan rakyatnya," tambahnya. -FMT

Najib, Bukan Saja SPRM, Polis Lagi Teruk Salahguna Kuasa!

Kes Teoh: Najib setuju SPRM tak wajar guna kuasa sembarangan

PUTRAJAYA, 27 Julai – Datuk Seri Najib Razak kelihatan bersetuju dengan syor-syor agar kuasa Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) dikaji semula sambil berkata, agensi itu tidak perlu berada dalam kedudukan ia boleh menggunakan skop kuasa secara sewenang-wenangnya.

Pendirian ini dikeluarkan susulan laporan suruhanjaya diraja yang menyiasat kes kematian Teoh Beng Hock di premis SPRM dua tahun lalu.

"Kami tidak mahu mereka salah guna kuasa... sudah tentu. Mereka tidak harus berada dalam kedudukan di mana mereka boleh menggunakan kuasa tanpa mengira kira kepentingan awam," kata beliau kepada pemberita di sini hari ini.

Bagaimanapun perdana menteri tidak menyatakan dengan terperinci sama ada kerajaan akan melihat untuk mengawal kuasa SPRM.

Bagaimanapun katanya, langkah sedang diambil untuk memperbaiki kaedah-kaedah soal siasat SPRM.

Ahad lalu, Putrajaya memperakui Teoh, bekas setiausaha politik, tidak mati dua tahun lalu jika SPRM mematuhi prosedur-prosedur siasatan yang sewajarnya dengan betul.

Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz menegaskan, beliau tetap bersetuju dengan cadangan suruhanjaya diraja kerana apa yang telah berlaku adalah satu kematian.

Pada sidang media Khamis lalu juga, Nazri berkata kerajaan memberi jaminan bahawa tindakan sewajarnya akan diambil terhadap pegawai yang melanggar prosedur SPRM berdasarkan peraturan dan undang-undang sedia ada.

Katanya, hasil siasatan suruhanjaya itu juga mendapati bahawa tiga pegawai penyiasat yang terbabit dalam kes ini telah menggunakan taktik soal siasat yang berterusan, agresif dan keterlaluan ke atas Teoh yang didapati melanggar prosedur sedia ada.

Tegas Nazri, kematian melibatkan Teoh tidak berlaku kalau sisatan dijalankan mengikut standard siasatan yang telah ditetapkan dan menepati piawaian yang memuaskan.

"Apabila berlaku keadaan macam ini kita kena teima hakikat bahwa ada perkara-perkara yang tidak patut dilakukan," kata Nazri sambil menambah, "saya ingin mencadangkan supaya SPRM yang bekerja rapat dengan badan pencegahan rasuah di Hong Kong supaya mengikut cara mereka bekerja."

"Dulu mereka belajar daripada kita, sekarang mereka berada di kedudukan nombor satu," katanya lagi.

Nazri menambah, prosedur operasi standard (SOP) di Hong Kong mempunyai piawaian yang sangat tinggi dan SPRM seharusnya berunding dengan badan pencegahan rasuah berkenaan.

"Ikut dan contohilah mereka," kata beliau.

Nazri juga berkata, kerajaan perlu mengakui bahawa sudah tentu ada kelemahan dalam sistem semasa.

Suruhanjaya siasatan terdiri daripada lima anggota diketuai oleh seorang hakim telah menjalankan prosiding siasatan selama 50 hari dan memanggil 70 saksi.

Teoh, 30, setiausaha politik kepada Exco Selangor Ean Yong Hian Wah ditemui mati di koridor tingkat lima Plaza Masalam, Shah Alam, Selangor pada 16 Julai 2009 selepas memberi keterangan di pejabat SPRM Selangor yang terletak di tingkat 14, plaza berkenaan. -TMI

Dari awal kes Teog Beng Hock dahulu kita telah menyatakan bahawa wujudnya pegawai-pegawai SPRM yang betaraf binatang, menyalahgunakan kuasa untuk pangkat, harta dan menganiayakan orang-orang yang disasat.

Kerajaan pada masa itu cepat menafikannya.

Inkues tidak berjaya mengesannya lantaran institusi kehakiman negara yang masih penuh dengan hakim-hakim yang korup, tetapi Suruhanjaya Diraja membuktikan persepsi rakyat itu adalah BENAR. Bahawa terdapat pegawai SPRM yang memang angkuh, menyalahgunakan kuasa dan berdusta semasa memberi keterangan, bukan sahaja di mahkamah tetapi di depan Suruhanjaya sendiri.

Tindakan melampau SPRM dikatakan sebagai punca Teoh membunuh diri.

Dan kini Najib sendiri mengakui bahawa tidak wajar "agensi itu tidak perlu berada dalam kedudukan ia boleh menggunakan skop kuasa secara sewenang-wenangnya."

Begitu jugalah agensi lain seperti PDRM. Kini rakyat berpersepsi bahawa polis berlaku zalim dan bertindak ganas terhadap rakyat. Polis menafikan, siap keluarkan video versi mereka nak tunjukkan betapa baik dan wanginya tindakan PDRM. Kerajaan beriya-iya membela mereka.

Suruhanjaya tidak ditubuhkan. GB yakin, andaikata Suruhanjaya ditubuhkan, dan penemuan nanti membuktikan PDRM juga angkuh dan menyalahgunakan kuasa. Apakah kata Najib dan kerajaannya ketika itu?

Justeru itu, tubuhkan segera Suruhanjaya Diraja Siasatan Terhadap Keganasan Polis!

Rakyat tidak samasekali akan lepaskan polis-polis yang kejam, zalim & pendusta itu.

MIC chief calls for release of PSM 6. First time an MP detained under EO! x(

The continued detention of the six Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) leaders is attracting unnecessary "worldwide attention", MIC president G Palanivel said today, and expressed concern that the detention might also impact BN in the coming general election.

Palanivel (right) said, "If you (watch) (news) on the television daily, there are massive demonstrations (in other countries and the) police will use tear gas, water cannons and all others (to disperse the crowd). But then, they will line them up, load them in trucks and take them to the police station (where the protesters will be) kept for three or four hours and then released.."

However, in the case of Sungai Siput MP Dr D Jeyakumar and the five others, who are being held behind bars for being the key "movers" of the Bersih 2.0 rally on July 9, Palanivel said this was only creating a more damaging image for the country and he added, saying, "The elected representatives will stay there (in detention) and (during) a general election, they don't have to leave (the cells to campaign) - they can (continue) to stay in prison and win, for the people will vote blindly."

Even before Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein declared Bersih 2.0 an illegal organisation, the PSM 6 have been held by police since June 30.

UMNO Mahu Rampas Kerusi Marang

MB yakin rampas Marang

MARANG - Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Ahmad Said menyuarakan keyakinannya bahawa BN akan dapat merampas kembali kerusi Parlimen Marang dari tangan pembangkang dalam menghadapi Pilihan Raya Umum (PRU) Ke-13 nanti.

Beliau berkata, hasrat itu pasti tercapai jika masyarakat berketurunan Cina di parlimen ini dapat sama-sama membantu BN bagi memberi sokongan mereka yang tidak berbelah-bahagi dalam memastikan kemenangan BN pada pilihan raya umum itu.

Menurutnya, walaupun jumlah pengundi Cina di parlimen itu adalah minoriti namun peranan serta komitmen mereka sangat penting bagi membolehkan BN merampas semula beberapa kerusi yang dimenangi pembangkang dalam PRU Ke-13 nanti.

"Kita mengharapkan masyarakat Tionghoa di Parlimen Marang akan memberi sokongan sepenuhnya kepada BN. Saya yakin mereka tak ada masalah untuk berbuat demikian dan Parlimen Marang tidak mustahil akan berada di tangan UMNO," katanya.

Ahmad yang juga merupakan Pengerusi Badan Perhubungan UMNO negeri berkata demikian di Majlis Program Temu Mesra Bersama Masyarakat Tionghoa Parlimen Marang, di Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Chong Hwa, Wakaf Tapai, di sini, malam kelmarin.

Turut hadir, Timbalan Pengerusi Badan Perhubungan UMNO negeri yang juga Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Pengkalan Berangan, Datuk Yahya Khatib Mohamad dan ADUN Alur Limbat, Alias Abdullah.

Menurutnya, golongan itu yang layak mengundi di Parlimen Marang berjumlah 1,834 pengundi melibatkan 801 (Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Alur Limbat), 61 (DUN Bukit Payong), 104 (DUN Rhu Rendang) dan 868 orang di DUN Pengkalan Berangan.

Pada Pilihan Raya Umum Ke-12 lalu, hanya kerusi DUN Pengkalan Berangan dan DUN Alor Limbat dimenangi calon BN iaitu Datuk Yahya Khatib Mohamad dan Alias Abdullah manakala DUN Rhu Rendang, DUN Bukit Payong dan Parlimen Marang dimenangi Pas.

Sementara itu, Timbalan Pengerusi Badan Perhubungan UMNO negeri, Datuk Yahya Khatib Mohamad berharap dengan kehadiran Menteri Besar ia mampu meraih lebih banyak sokongan golongan Tionghoa terhadap parti itu di kawasan parlimen berkenaan. -SH

p/s Ingat, mereka pernah memeranjatkan negara apabila calon UMNO, Datuk Abdul Rahman Bakar pernah mengalahkan Presiden PAS, TG Haji Abdul Hadi Awang di Parlimen Marang.

Justeru itu PAS Terengganu perlu berwaspada dan bekerja lebih keras untuk pastikan kerusi presiden parti selamat dan tidak dirampas oleh UMNO BN.
