A Japanese anime based on popular girl group AKB48 will be produced and aired in 2012. The anime will feature nine characters, which will be chosen among the 48 core members and other 100+ members of affiliated groups and trainees.

Brauchen wir eine Frauenqoute in den Vorstandsetagen

Posted: 19 Oct 2011 06:35 AM PDT

[Video] 26 Pekerja Dipecat Kerana 'Curi Waktu' Untuk Solat

Posted: 23 Oct 2011 10:17 AM PDT

-- AP.

[Video] Banjir Terus Melanda Thailand Selama Sebulan Lagi

Posted: 23 Oct 2011 07:30 AM PDT

– AFP

Tidur Dengan Seramai Mungkin Lelaki Buru Gelaran Miss-X

Posted: 23 Oct 2011 06:29 AM PDT

Kuala Lumpur: Mengejutkan apabila ada remaja perempuan yang masih bersekolah sanggup menggadai maruah diri dengan meniduri seramai mungkin lelaki terutama golongan berada dan berpengaruh semata-mata ingin merebut gelaran ratu sebuah pusat beli-belah terkenal di ibu kota.

Gambar: YANTI... masih seronok memburu gelaran Ratu X.

[Video] MotoGP Malaysia Batal, Penunggang Honda Mati Dalam Kemalangan Di Litar Sepang

Posted: 23 Oct 2011 05:20 AM PDT

Italian rider Marco Simoncelli has died after a horrific crash at the Malaysian MotoGP in Sepang.

The race was stopped on lap two when Simoncelli's bike veered across the track at turn 11 into the path of Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi.

The 24-year-old had his helmet knocked off and was hit by both other riders.

American rider Edwards also fell but escaped serious injury - while fellow Italian Rossi was able to return to the pits.

Simoncelli lay motionless on the track after the impact, while the race was immediately red-flagged.

At first officials were looking to restart the race before the extent of Simoncelli's injuries became clear.

The race was cancelled amid confusion in the grandstand, with fans throwing bottles to show their initial displeasure.

The death is the first fatality in MotoGP since Japan's Daijiro Katoh died from injuries sustained at the 2003 Japanese GP.

It comes a week after British IndyCar driver Dan Wheldon was killed in Las Vegas following a crash.

BBC MotoGP presenter Matt Roberts said: "Marco lost his helmet in the crash. The officials said that, when the track medics got to him, he was in cardiac arrest. They tried to resuscitate him in the ambulance and the medical centre."

Honda rider Simoncelli entered MotoGP for the 2010 season and won his first pole position at the Catalunya race in June this year.

Simoncelli's first podium finish came in the Czech Republic in August when he finished third but he bettered that with a second-place finish at the Australian GP.

World champion Casey Stoner said: "As soon as I saw the footage it just makes you sick inside. Whenever the helmet comes off that's not a good sign."

British MotoGP rider Cal Crutchlow Tweeted: "RIP Marco Simoncelli! A great rider and all round nice guy. My thoughts are with all his family & friends. I will never forget today."

Australian Formula One driver Mark Webber Tweeted: "RIP Marco. A special talent that will be missed. Thinking of your loved ones and all the MotoGP paddock. -BBC

Isu Harga Tanah Dijual Terlalu Rendah: DAP Mahu K'jaan Perak Disiasat

Posted: 23 Oct 2011 02:00 AM PDT

Kalau Benar Risaukan Generasi Y

Posted: 22 Oct 2011 11:37 PM PDT

Sebahagian panelis bersama moderator

Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia sedang panas.

Rumusan saya ringkas sahaja.

Silence as a Tool

Posted: 22 Oct 2011 11:09 PM PDT

Some Asian countries such as Vietnam, China, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia and the Philippines monitor internet use and block critical international sites in a move to silence web dissidents. Political censorship is practised to keep political dissent in check. At the same time, other governments have similar controls moving towards tighter regulation.

In Malaysia, things 'seem' to be slightly more rosy. PM Najib recently vowed to abolish the Printing Presses and Publishing Act, and urged his administration to follow through with additional press freedom-related reforms. According to CPJ,  "Najib vowed to dismantle two harsh security-related laws--the Internal Security Act and the Emergency Ordinance--and ease legal restrictions on civil liberties, including the right to assembly, international press reports said. He has also vowed to abolish the Printing Presses and Publications Act so that newspapers do not have to reapply annually for permission to publish. The Home Ministry previously had sole discretion over whether to renew newspapers' operating licenses, and its often arbitrary decisions could not be legally appealed."

One can see many comments in popular news portals giving criticisms and comments. Once the wave begins, the other side takes the cue and a heavy exchange of ammunition follows with one press statement after another on the same issue, each refuting what the other had said previously. A good example is the issue about LGE's son. While I sympathize with the boy and the CM, those responsible must be taken to task.

Of late, I have been silently observing political developments and conclude that the vocal dissent need not necessarily be a reflection of grass root sentiments. We have the meek, the vocal and the downright silent ones.

Not everyone is ballsy to voice their discontent. Even some ballsy ones do so without revealing their true identity. Some ballsy ones may be sharing comments because they are paid to do so.

Of course, the silent majority has a view as well. If you have even half a brain today, it is impossible to remain pro-status quo unless one is either selfish/irresponsible, or evil/immoral.

So how accurate is the scene in cyberspace?

Previously, PR had the lead in defining and influencing public opinion but like what I blogged before here, BN has overtaken them and with the help of expert consultants, seem (note I say 'seem' and not 'are') to be closing in on Pakatan Rakyat as they are slowly making their presence felt in cyber world with the help of highly paid (by all of us) expert consultants.

Instead of wasting time scolding the status quo via fiery comments, I propose a few steps for us to take that can effect more positive changes.

1. Campaign Silently

If each one of us can convince our family, relatives, friends, colleagues, neighbours to vote for the opposition, there can be concrete and far-reaching positive changes.

We can do this via coffee-shop discussions, forwarding emails, inviting them to forums/talks etc and by engaging them in the most effective way possible.

Other suggestions have been listed in my post called GE 13- Real Tips.

2. Concrete Suggestions

Instead of always hammering politicians for what they do or did not do, we should come up with a list of our grouses and provide possible solutions/suggestions as to how these can be resolved.

3. Volunteer

Volunteer to be a Polling Agent, Counting Agent or a Booth Agent ("PACABA") for whichever party that you choose to support.

4. Do not be an armchair critic

It is easy to hide behind the laptop screen and rant without doing anything much beyond virtual reality. As such, you can be part of the change by writing to your ADUN, MP or actively participating in as many events as possible.

Take a constructive stand.

Most importantly, do not say too much in cyberspace! Let them cringe in suspense as to how the rakyat really feel!

The other side has all the ammunition ready - strategies, media campaigns and are closely monitoring public opinion/activities. Read more about it in RPK's post on The 3R Program and The 3R Program: Plan B.

At this point, I don't think we should say much beyond what is necessary. Silence can be a very effective tool.

They will be confounded and confused as to what we are thinking. By throwing a spanner in the works via our 'silence', there can be little or no opportunity to attack the Opposition. They would be at a loss as to what schemes they can concoct or ploys to outwit the Opposition.

With our silence, there can be no reaction to their manufactured fear. For instance, during the Bersih 2.0 rally, heavy debate ensued about how the permit was not given etc etc. All should have kept quiet and then turned up in FULL FORCE on that day.

It is the same with the hudud issue and the Himpun rally. Let's state the bare minimum and concentrate on the positives, on what is important and then keep them in suspense as to what is our next move.

The most important move is to get as many voters to vote for the Opposition as possible.

Silence - let's use this tool to confound them! No more fodder for them!!!

NZ travelogue: The freshest salmon we could find

Posted: 22 Oct 2011 10:24 PM PDT

This is an attraction that will be definitely missed by any tourist who moves about in group tours. No tour bus will bother with stopping at this place. Even tourists who choose to move around in rental cars are liable to miss out on this place too. The irony is that the High Country Salmon Farm is not even off the beaten track. It's just beside the road, along the highway that connects Twizel to Wanaka.

For us, the farm was a pre-planned stop in our itinerary. I was already eyeing this place long before I set foot in New Zealand. So I told my wife that we shall be foregoing lunch at Twizel after we come down from the Aoraki Mount Cook national park. Yes, we did stop in Twizel but it was just for half a mo' to refresh ourselves before continuing with our journey south.

Just beyond the outskirts of Twizel, about three kilometres from the town, we crossed the Oahu River which drained the water from the Ruataniwha Lake. Water from this lake was fed mainly from the Lake Pukaki by a hydro canal and also from the Ohau Lake. This mix of source water meant that the colour was a lesser creamy turquoise blue than the Lake Pukaki itself.

Immediately after the bridge, the High Country Salmon Farm loomed ahead on the left. Reasonably spacious visitor parking lot but during our stop, there were no other cars beside ours. Could be because the place was not so well indicated. The only sign I saw along the highway was a small billboard that proclaimed "Fresh Salmon".

True that you can also see this sign but it's right on the property itself and not so evident when travelling on the highway. (By the way, we didn't get to feed the salmon. We were hungry and that was the first order of the day! And after we finished eating, we had forgotten about feeding the fish. Pity!)

This is where they farm the Chinook salmon, fed by the pure glacial waters of New Zealand's Southern Alps. Most of the fish are sent to the main cities in the country but visitors can also be assured of partaking in the freshest salmon sashimi of their lives. I looked around their stock of prepared sashimi cuts and chose a packet. Looking at the orange-coloured sashimi itself is enough to make the mouth water and the knees weak, what more to pick up a piece and savour it slowly.

Mmm, that first bite of the fresh sashimi in the mouth was the sweetest, firmest, crunchiest and most heavenly experience I have had of salmon meat.

Superb quality. Every bite was firm and crunchy, so unlike the salmon sashimi we get back here in Malaysia. After experiencing the salmon here, it's almost impossible for us to go back to the Japanese food from the local Malaysian restaurants. Talk about our pampered taste buds. But it's true, you know, you only need to try the sashimi at the High Country Salmon Farm to understand our feelings on this matter.

Bila rakyat dah terlalu meluat kpd.pemimpinnya...

Hadith : Dari Abu Sa'id al-Khudri r.a katanya, Rasulullah s.a.w bersabda:

"Apabila kamu melihat jenazah, maka berdirilah!

latest press statement from penang CM, lim guan eng

Posted: 22 Oct 2011 10:11 PM PDT

… regarding the stupid DPM's idiotic comments on lim guan eng's denial of his son's sexual harassment. how on earth can such a person be DPM? oh sorry, of course he can since he is in umno. figures.

his denial not enough? then what happened to the many denials you made, as one malaysian insider reader pointed outt? what happened to our PM's denial that he does not know the late altantuya? shouldn't you push for the police to investigate if our PM knows altantuya?

DAP's tony pua rightly said that the DPM need to have his examined (and to think he became the DPM):

"The deputy prime minister needs to have his head seriously inspected. The onus to prove the scurrilous allegations are on the accusers, and not those unjustly maligned.

"Datuk Seri Najib Razak must reprimand his Deputy, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for giving implicit support to the Umno bloggers to defame and destroy an innocent 16-year-old child," DAP Publicity Chief Tony Pua said.

also, the alleged victim had already spoken up that she had never been in malaysia for the last 7 years and the principal of the school had also spoken up the alleged victim is not in the school and the reason for LGE's son's transfer. of course, naturally, we know without any surprise, utusan will jump up to parrot the DPM. *SIGH* the sheer hypocrisy and double standard of umno. umno, oh umno, oh umno… the more you manifest your double standard, the more we will be ever so willing to kick you out during the coming election.

ok i'd better not talk more or i'll get angry. here's the statement from LGE:

Press Statement By Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng In Kuala Lumpur On 23.10.2011.

How Can Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin Be So Cruel As To Continue To Repeat The Lies By UMNO Blogs Against My 16 Year Old Son And Question Whether My Son Is Innocent Of Lies Of Sexual Misconduct When The Lady "Victim" Had Asserted That She Had Not Even Met Me Or My Son And The Penang Education Director Had Declared The Allegations Were Not True.

I am appalled and disgusted by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's remarks that my mere denial of sexual harassment claims against my 16-year old son was inadequate. Instead, Muhyiddin says that "if the Penang chief minister thinks it is important to correct the information, then he has to come up with a strong statement."

What more strong statement is required from me when I had condemned these barbaric lies as totally unacceptable, inhumane; and the UMNO and BN leaders involved as ferociaous beasts preying on the innocence of young children. Umno bloggers had printed pictures of my son and the alleged victim whom they claimed my son had outraged her modesty. They had claimed that my son tried to escape punishment by using my name and I had paid the girl's family off with RM200,000 to hush up the matter.

The photograph of the purported "victim" used by Umno bloggers was that of 21-year-old chess grandmaster Anya Sun Corke who is studying at Wellesley College in the United States Anya had already issued a statement denying the charge and expressed sympathy for my son for being a victim of such vicious and barbaric lies.

As a result of PR Penang government's solid performance in clean and effective governance for the people, UMNO bloggers has been trying to finish me off politically with lies and politics of hate. When they failed, they now train their guns on my innocent school-going son.

Amongst some UMNO leaders who highligted this shameful episode in the blogs is Bukit Gelugor(Penang) UMNO Division vice-chairman Dr Novandri Hasan Basri. He was then followed by many UMNO leaders rehashing the lies. Sadly even UMNO Youth chief Khairy Jamaludin joined in these shameful lies by poking fun at my son with this tweet:-

@Khairykj Khairy Jamaluddin

@PapaGomo Mungkin dia roboh Kampung Buah Pala sebab nak ganti dengan Kampung Buah Dada.

http://twitter.com/#!/Khairykj/status/125841671102529536

Even though the alleged victim had come out with a statement denying the lies, there is no remorse or apology as yet from Khairy or UMNO leaders to my son. Instead of condemning Khairy or Dr Novandri for practicing "the lowest of  gutter politics", Muhyiddin has seen fit to question my denials and that I should not blame others for the allegations.

How can Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin be so cruel as to continue to repeat the lies by UMNO blogs against my 16 year old son and question whether my son is innocent of lies of sexual misconduct when the lady "victim" had asserted that she had not even met me or my son and the Penang Education Director had declared the allegations were not true?

Penang Education Director Ahmad Tarmizi Kamaruddin had told the Star on 22.10.2011 that his department found no evidence to back the claims of sexual misconduct against my son in several blogs. Ahmad said that it was wrong to drag a student into any controversy to gain poltical mileage. "Children should be left out of politics," Ahmad added.

If Muhyiddin wants to be seen as fit for the post of Prime Minister, he must be moral and ethical. He fails this moral and ethical test by picking on a 16-year old son who is still schooling and has no chance of defending himself. If Muhyiddin hates me so much, he can do his worst to finish me off politically. But Muhyiddin should not join the craven pack of cowards to pick on my 16-year old son and put my son again through this traumatic experience.

Muhyiddin loses the respect of decent Malaysians if he behaves in the same arrogant manner as those ferocious UMNO beasts who know only how to bully my 16-year old son and feast on a child's innocence.

The Divorcee Dato' I Know.

Posted: 23 Oct 2011 12:32 AM PDT

S has just broken up with his girlfriend.
He found out that she cheated on him.

"What did she do?"

"She kissed another boy!"

" Awwh..maybe you should find someone like your sister Hannan.
Sweet and loyal-looking..even though she does not have a boyfriend yet!"

"Ma..if she ever finds one, I'll make sure I'll instill fear into him.
Nobody messes around with my sister!"

It was not that my siblings were/are not protective, but I do not want them to interfere. No!
No family interferences please. Stay out!

I can handle my divorce my way! Please! Thanks.
*specially for Ngah*

As I travelled back to Kuantan last night,I thought of how easy he wants to wash his hands off whatever he had promised.

He can afford to rent an expensive house in Kemensah Ulu Klang for him and his 'makwe/wife', can afford to splash on maintaining her, and woo her trail of hangers on.

Dutifully,he races to fetch and send her irregardless at midnite, 3am, 5 am or whatever time she demands.
Yet, he is a reluctant chauffeur to the children.
Eh eh..I thought ada airport van delegated to pick and send their cabin crew?

And he loves to grumble/nag/complain/show a sour-face.
He seldoms have any affectionate conversation with his children whenever he drives them.

Grab a cab??!!
*Dato'! Cab in KL mahal lah oi!*

Being a father is getting to be such a strain and a pain in the ****!

He speaks to this 'stunning' stewardess in the most loving tender voice but he 'thunders' at the children.
He gets very irritable and easily annoyed..years of being bored with the same old faces and finding them so burdensome now.

The children and his ex wife, are now treated like beggars.

He pays their college fees but tightens their pocket money...like mad!
Afterall he has more pleasureable 'unofficial' obligations he would like to fulfill.
His focus is now more on his future bride's family.

If only he can find a way to get rid of them all..especially his ex wife who's chasing the divorce settlement..and who is openly blogging about it until he says "ok ok..I'll bank in!"

When the mahkamah syariah then enquired, "tuntutan nafkah/ harta?"

He was the one who replied "takder!
Selesai sendiri..."
Afterall, he had typed out a whole list of what he wanted to give.

O well...I've told him I'll keep on asking through the blog..
