Baru Ku Tahu: Ada Peti Surat Dalam Laut!

Peti Surat Bawah Laut Tarikan Terbaru Pelancong Ke Indonesia

Kerajaan Peralat Parlimen Untuk Redakan Kemarahan Rakyat Terhadap Proses Pilihanraya

Posted: 03 Oct 2011 09:15 AM PDT

Kenapa tiada jaminan menjelang JK Parlimen siapkan tugas?

-HD

HELP! Gurney Drive Is Getting Ugly

HELP! Gurney Drive Is Getting Ugly

HELP! Gurney Drive Is Getting Ugly – The building of condominium and shopping malls along Gurney Drive is truly a good thing which brings a nice skyline to Penang island. However, the shore or the Gurney Drive's bay is getting super duper ugly during low tides with a big area of muddy land. The government seriously need to do something to overcome this problem.

This is an eyesore to both the locals and tourists who visit the famous Gurney Drive. As you know Gurney Drive is pretty famous for the seaside, Gurney Plaza shopping mall and the hawker centre. It will leaves a bad impression for those who took photos when the sea is on a low tides.

HELP! Gurney Drive Is Getting Ugly

I heard about that Gurney Drive did has a nice beach 20-30 years back and sea turtle do come here to lay eggs, but they will never ever come back because of the dirty bay and the muddy area.

Something need to be done, something big. Dig a deeper sea, build a garden by the sea, perhaps bring a beach to Gurney Drive (HAHA). Hope that it will turns better in future. Finger cross.

What do you think about Gurney Drive?

Weld Quay Famous Penang Asam Laksa And Ai Yu Bing Dessert

Weld Quay Famous Penang Asam Laksa And Ai Yu Bing Dessert

Weld Quay Famous Penang Asam Laksa And Ai Yu Bing DessertLaksa lover are lucky today because I just found out a new delicious yummy Penang Assam Laksa at Weld Quay. Perhaps some of you may knows about it already but nevermind, just sharing it with everyone because I am a fan of Assam Laksa. One question, how do you spell assam laksa actually? Assam or Asam? There's no standardized one. Haha.

P1040060

On the corner of the junction of Gat Lebuh Acheh (Acheen Street Ghaut) and Weld Quay and under a tree, this is where the stalls of the yummy assam laksa and also ai yu bing (a kind of jelly) dessert locate at. Some times, there's also a curry mee stall but it wasn't open during my visit.

Only RM3.00 per bowl and you get a nice bowl of asam laksa, not spicy, not very sweet like others, enough of sour-ish taste and it's nice to me. Although taste different with the famous Farlim Shell Station laksa, I still finish the soup until it's dry. Fish and vegetable were enough and it's a good food for afternoon tea or eat-for-fun. Another thing is the aunty who is selling the laksa is kinda friendly too.

P1040059

There's also a little dessert stalls serving the laksa customer at there, which sells local desserts like chendol, red bean soup, ai yu bing and grass jelly.

I ordered a bowl of ai yu bing, it's a kind of jelly, different from grass jelly, tasted a little bit sour-ish with lime in it. It's a good thirst quencher during a hot day.

Remember to spot for a tree as the stalls are under the tree. It's a good location as there's a tree providing shade so it wouldn't feel very hot. The stalls open from late morning till mid-afternoon. Lunch and afternoon tea will be nice. =)

Teochew Porridge And Ah Lai Hokkien Prawn Mee At Cecil Street Market

Posted: 03 Oct 2011 07:18 AM PDT

Teochew Porridge And Ah Lai Hokkien Prawn Mee At Cecil Street Market

Teochew Porridge And Ah Lai Hokkien Prawn Mee At Cecil Street Market – I've wrote about my weekend at Cecil Street Market And Food Stalls, now I want to share about what I've eaten at there two days ago. As you know, Cecil Street Food Stall is one of my favourite eat out place in Penang when I am craving for local yummy Penang food as you can find almost everything here.

Teochew Porridge And Ah Lai Hokkien Prawn Mee At Cecil Street Market

Last Saturday, I went there for lunch and it were Teochew porridge with dishes and a bowl of hokkien prawn noodle. Teochew Porridge is actually plain white porridge with a some little Chinese dishes. The name of Teochew Porridge is called is because Teochew-people in China cooks and eats plain white Teochew style porridge in this way (Cantonese style porridge is usually more smooth and concentrated)

Teochew Porridge And Ah Lai Hokkien Prawn Mee At Cecil Street Market

There's only two of us that noon, mom and me and we ordered four little dish which consists of siu yok (sio bak / roasted pork), long bean, fried eggs and fried dace with black bean. 4 simple dishes but they were just awesomely pleasing and it costs not more than RM10 at only RM8.60 for all.

Untitled

The great part is eating with the plain white waterish Teochew rice porridge which is a healthy. The combination of the simple dishes with the porridge makes up the Teochew Porridge which is just great for a lunch.

Because I was on a holiday back in Penang and was craving for Penang food, I couldn't get myself not ordering a Penang food for lunch. Penang Hokkien Prawn Mee was on my mind at that time. There's actually 3 stalls in the market, I've tried one before which was just OKAY, there's another one was not open at that day and I went to try the one which is called Ah Lai's Hokkien Prawn Mee, hidden deep in the sea of food stalls.

Teochew Porridge And Ah Lai Hokkien Prawn Mee At Cecil Street Market

The stalls owner was very kind to show me the prawn shells which are used to make the yummy prawn mee soup. It's not recommended to eat frequently due to high cholesterol from the prawn shells, but sometimes it's really hard to resists the deliciousness.

Teochew Porridge And Ah Lai Hokkien Prawn Mee At Cecil Street Market

My bowl of hokkien prawn mee was the maggi mee version. The soup tasted sweet and has a strong sense of prawn taste in it, probably because of the prawn shells used to cook the soup. The mixes of boiled egg, pork meats and shallots perfected the dish. Best of all, it's only RM2.50! Cheap and tasty, I will come back for this again.

Make a visit to the market and you will be amaze by the variety of food.

Najib & Rosmah Saksi Penting, Saiful Menemui Mereka Sebelum Buat Aduan Diliwat

Posted: 03 Oct 2011 08:26 AM PDT

Karpal: Keterangan Najib, isterinya sangat penting

"Responden pertama mahukan Perdana Menteri memberi penjelasan.

Ong Tee Keat Rela Potretnya Diturunkan Drp Digantung Bersebelahan Soi Lek

Posted: 03 Oct 2011 07:43 AM PDT

-mk

52 Types of Blog Posts that Are Proven to Work

This guest post is by Karol K of Online Business Design blog.
Blogging is not only about putting together 400-2,000 words of text and publishing them on your WordPress site. As a blogger, you can choose from a much bigger variety of possible blog post types (and content in general).
Let me be honest and admit that I've wanted to compile this sort of list for a long time. Coming up with new ideas for posts every couple of days might lead you to a hard stop on a brick wall very quickly… I believe writer's block is the more politically correct name for such a situation.
One of the most effective ways of fighting writer's block is having a big resource file, containing lots of ideas and frameworks for new posts. Besides, writing standard, old-school blog posts can get boring very quickly. That's why every blogger needs some variety in terms of content if they want to be doing this for a longer period of time.
This list is divided into a couple of sections depending on the purpose and characteristics of each content type. Feel free to treat it as a resource file ≠ñ you don't have to go through the whole list at once.

A Week In Taylor’s University #1

Posted: 03 Oct 2011 06:01 AM PDT

A Week In Taylor's University #1
#1: On the other side of the man-made lake.

A Week In Taylor's University #1 – Hello people, it's another new week again, how are you guys? I am starting something new called "A Week In Taylor's University #" which is actually blog post full of photos that I've captured over the week. I compiled them up and I blog it up in a shot. One long post of all the photos of the week. It would be easier and you won't be seeing similar thing everyday. =D

#2: Lazy dog lying at staff's carpark.

Of course it's not my first week in Taylor's University, it'd been I-don't-know-how-many-weeks. Well, if you ask me about the experience in this campus, it would be good and bad, I love the beautiful campus, however, I kinda dislike the way they administrate the school. It's a little big too money-centric which I certainly hates.

Another thing is the syllabus for Diploma In Interior Design isn't that great after all. OMG. I did learn something, but I also did learn something not really interesting, or related to design, it could be said as not practical with future work.

#3: Hate to see the Autopay sign where it reminds you to pay.

#4: Cloud overcasting the sky.

Blablabla. If I were to rants about it, it would be a bloody long post but I don't want to. Haha. It'd been raining quite a lot last week. The sky was scattered with clouds all the time, and I kept afraid of raining down because I have to walk to the carpark to fetch my car. There's no covered walkway. It's just so stupid. Haha.

#5: iPhone games are just everywhere in school.

#6: Kevin To in the background.

Studies was OK, just a little bit stress and worried on assignments. Because all in the mind was getting a good result, which results in a pushing myself too much. Sometimes, I told myself to take a break, sometimes, I told myself to push. What a funny me.

#7: Wanyi's drinking water.

#8: A dark and cloudy day.

Well, do you like it when a lecturer tell you that the class is canceled, or no class for the day? It sure sounds good and fun, however at the same time felt pain in the ass, because every lesson is money. $$ You might be thinking I am being money face, yes money is very important, yet tuition fees is expensive. Haha. How wish the tuition fee could be lower, even if it's lower, I need to be convinced that the fee worth it, but till now, I am not convinced yet. Hmm. What do you think?

Truth is, I think I've picked the wrong school? Perhaps, but thing has been done, decision has been made, so I have to go with the flows. Hoping that I will be convinced one day.

#9: Lecturer was playing a video for us to see.

#10: Had Moral Education mid-term exam which was pretty fun and easy.

#11: The Kebab Stall.

#12: Working on the kebab, smells delicious, priced expensive at RM8 per kebab sandwich.

Spent quite a lot of time recently in campus because of group work for the assignments and projects. The thing that I like about the school is having a good facilities where we can work out on projects during free time.

#13: Workers painting the outdoor table. Good job,

#14: Wesley's acting cute and Jia Hui was concentrating with the music on the iPhone.

#15: Some Sony Walkman event in the campus.

#16: Delicious mamak-style fried rice at Star Teh Tarik for only RM4.

And there's many food and beverage outlets which are pretty cool. I like Star Teh Tarik, a mamak store in the campus which is my favourite dining place because of the low price. HAHAHA. Not forget to mention, the food is good in taste too.

#17: In a classroom overlooking the mad-made lake. Looking ugly at the end where the open air rocky road carpark is.

#18: Some entertainment in class.

#19: iPad gaming in class.

#20: More iPad user in action.

#21: 1:1 sculpture by the architecture students.

#22: Farah's smilling to Wesley.

#23: Security guard looking at the lake, relaxing.

#24: The 3 beautiful academic blocks. Too bad, there's only 3 of them. The word "UNI" at the roof looks weird.

#25: The lake with an ugly end.

#26: Fire hydrant by the lake. Was playing with my Sigma f1.4 30mm lens.

#27: Another unfavorable sign.

#28: FREE parking is always uber far away.

Well, let's see how this week will be to me. Super duper looking forward to the Apple event tomorrow and also the Nine Emperors God Festival on Wednesday. =) Do you like your college?

Sekali lagi, Nong Chik Cuba Menipu Penduduk Kg.Baru

Posted: 03 Oct 2011 06:40 AM PDT

RUU Kg Baru: Kata tarik balik, kenapa bentang baru

Buktikan 90 peratus setuju RUU PPKB

"Kalau betul 90 peratus setuju kenapa Rang Undang-Undang ditarik balik?

-HD

On which side of the fence are you?

Posted: 03 Oct 2011 05:58 AM PDT

Capitalist or Socialist?

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age group in college, she considered herself to be very liberal, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs, in other words redistribution of wealth.

She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch conservative, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a typical liberal professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.

One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father.

He responded by asking how she was doing in school. Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew.

She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.

Her father listened and then asked, "How is your friend Audrey doing?"

She replied, "Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over."

Her wise father asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA."

The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, "That's a crazy idea, how would that be fair! I've worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!"

The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, "Welcome to the capitalist side of the fence."

If you ever wondered what side of the fence you sit on, this is a great test:

If a capitalist doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one.
If a socialist doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a capitalist is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat.
If a socialist is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a capitalist is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a socialist is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a capitalist is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A socialist wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a capitalist doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Socialist demands that those they don't like be shut down.

If a capitalist is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A socialist non-believer wants any mention of God and religion
silenced.(Unless it's a foreign religion, of course!)

If a capitalist decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping
for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A socialist demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a capitalist reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a
good laugh.

A socialist will delete it because he's "offended".

MCA Lalui Zaman Gelap, Bakal Hilang Dari Peta Politik Negara

Posted: 03 Oct 2011 05:50 AM PDT

Umum mengetahui bahawa MCA dicabar hebat DAP sejak sekian lama.

-FMT

New Ginger Kitten In The House

Posted: 03 Oct 2011 04:55 AM PDT

Last week, Wuan went to the market and came back with more than groceries and breakfast. She brought a stinky and dirty ginger-coloured kitten back as well. She gave him a thorough bath after which he looked adorable with his fur clean and smelling nice. The intention was to clean him up, feed him and put him up for adoption.

After being with us for one week, we decided to keep him instead. Three felines is about as many as we can manage at the moment. Fei Por had not taken a liking to him. They both would hiss and take swipes at each other whenever Wuan brought them close together. That was the least of our concern. Fei Por stays outside. We did not want him running around outside anyway and would be keeping him indoors.

The real test was whether Cheeky would accept him. They both would have to share the same room and same space indoors. I was skeptical. Cheeky was aggressive whenever other cats came into the compound. He would look out from the grille door and growl. The fur on his tail would become puffed. Wuan and I would not want to anywhere close to him during those times.

There were a few anxious moments after Wuan let the kitten into the house. Cheeky approached him cautiously and both stood frozen in close proximity, sizing each other up. True to his fashion, the kitten took a swipe at Cheeky. My heart skipped a beat. I was sure Cheeky would retaliate. It was not a pretty sight the last time Cheeky jumped on me and sank his fangs into my elbow.

Cheeky took a few steps back and scooted off. What happened next surprised us. The kitten crouched behind a stack of old newspaper. Cheeky hid behind the coffee table. They then approached stealthily, pounced on each other and then ran away helter skelter in the opposite direction. This they repeated countless times. They we having fun! We finally breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing them warming up to each other so playfully.

We have yet to give him a name. That responsibility falls on Wuan again as she was the one who rescued the kitten. As for me, he has been keeping me occupied. He likes to climb onto my lap. I could not do much with him clambering all over and had to keep pushing him off. He would jump right back on again. I hope he outgrows this antic soon. My thights are now full of fine scars from him clawing his way up.

WHO CAN TRUST UMNO-LINKED PRESS? NONE

Posted: 03 Oct 2011 04:57 AM PDT

Fresh from pursuing a case against the Umno-linked Utusan Malaysia in the Penang High Court today, Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng now plans to sue two more newspapers.

NONE
They are New Straits Times (NST) and Mingguan Malaysia in relation to their reports on an alleged dinner meeting in Singapore with several senior leaders of the People's Action Party.
The dinner was also reportedly attended by a Malaysia Airlines board director, Mohamad Azman Yahya and businessman Kalimullah Hassan who have already denied the reports published yesterday.

The reports quoted Perkasa information chief Ruslan Kasim as urging the three - Lim, Mohamad Azman and Kalimullah - to clear the air over the matter in the interests of the country.

However, Ruslan has since said that he had been misquoted in his statement to NST on Saturday and

Ruslan said what he said was that Azman should answer allegations that he has information on a secret meeting between Lim and PAP's top leaders during a dinner on Aug 12 in Singapore that was also attended by Kalimullah.

He also urged the trio to clarify if the topics discussed during the alleged meeting had involved Malaysian's national security.

Today, after a long, long time, I took a taxi home.

As the taxi was approaching the yet-to-be-demolished 50 sen toll structure, its driver, an Indian man, slowed down and was getting ready to pay toll.

I told him, 'No need to pay toll.'

'Oh, no need to pay toll?' he asked in a surprised tone.

I answered him in the affirmative and told him that the election was coming soon - hence, the government had abolished it.

'They always like that, gimmick. They think they can fool us,' he said.

I nodded my head and said, 'They can only bluff those kampung people.'

'Oh no. Nowadays, these kampung fellows are smart unlike last time. Now there's the Internet and they know how to Internet,' the taxi driver said matter-of-factly.

Well, I couldn't agree with him more.

PR Namakan Dr.Hatta, Antony Loke & Azmin Untuk PSC, Bersih Bagi PSC Peluang [updated]

Posted: 03 Oct 2011 04:22 AM PDT

-mk

Bersih "bagi can" kata PSC

Pengerusi Bersih 2.0 Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan menyeru gerakan-gerakan awam supaya menerima 'tanpa prasangka' hasrat kerajaan persekutuan untuk membaikpulih sistem pilihan raya, sebelum mengambil tindakan susulan seperti mengadakan satu lagi perhimpunan.

This urinal has little room for error

Posted: 03 Oct 2011 02:27 AM PDT

The stock market has been lousy lately but it should be a good time to pick up some good stock as the prices are depressed. The only question is that we don't know how much lower the prices may plunge. Anyway, I was at the Bukit Mertajam branch of HwangDBS Investment Bank this morning to make payment for some stock that were picked up last week. (But don't ask me what they were, okay? Just know that their prices went down again this morning.)

Right, as I was about leave the building, I had to visit their washroom. Had drank too much water and slurped too much soup this morning so much so that my bladder was calling out for relief. I stepped into the washroom and saw two urinals side-by-side. Walked up to one of them and was surprised to see its unusual height. The other one was just the same.

As I was doing my business, I was thinking that gosh, the contractor that did this job must have run short of the concealed piping and decided to mount the urinals higher up on the wall. The urinals would be comfortable enough for any six-footer man to use but if a five-footer man were to walk into the washroom, he would most probably have to stand a little back and aim his shot upwards into the air and let gravity finish the job for him.

As for me, I could just about able to get my dick comfortably over the top of the urinal's base, still with some little clearance of course! So this is a good gauge to guess that I'm somewhere between five feet and six feet tall. The only positive consolation for this badly mounted urinal is that if a user of average height is prone to poor aim, there isn't much room for his golden shower to spill out of that blasted contraption!

Penerbit Filem, Datuk Adzhar & Dua Anaknya Dihukum Penjara Dan Denda

Posted: 03 Oct 2011 03:04 AM PDT

Tiga Beranak Peneraju Noradz Travel & Services Dihukum Penjara, Denda
