Share The Love Concert At Taylor's University
#1: Nice Taylor's University at night.

Share The Love Concert At Taylor's University – I went to school last Saturday night to camp in school to do assignment. I wore simple clothing, a t-shirt and a pair of shorts, with slippers on, feeling free and easy and arrived in school happily. Then I heard loud voices of people singing, and the school's lights were turn on brightly. There's a concert going on in the campus – Share The Love.

I almost forgot about it until I reached school that Saturday night. Share The Love is actually a charity concert which promotes friendship and solidarity through music. The concert is actually a singing contest which the winner wins RM5000 cash prize for themselves as well as another RM5000 which to be donated to the Taylor's World Food Day on behalf of them. Cool right?

The crowds were not really big, about 200 or more people can be see, sitting on the checkered floor, some lying and enjoying the concert. It was quite relaxing and nice to see a concert stage was set up in the school.

#5: The stage and people on the floor.

I imagined what if some other famous artist has their mini concert here, it will be really very awesome, given a good view of the campus. I would like to see Taiwan's artist here, but I don't think it's possible because it's an English speaking school. HAHA.

Share The Love. I spend less than 30 minutes then and off I went to do assignment with my group mates. I didn't really enjoy those Indie band because I don't know the music and songs they were singing. But one cool thing was, they were giving out free little food like cup cakes to the people by answering a few question.

A Morning Walk At Pulau Tikus Market
#1: Pasar Pulau Tikus – Pulau Tikus Market

A Morning Walk At Pulau Tikus Market – Pulau Tikus Market is one of the market that's close to my place and mom is a frequent visitor of that market. On a fine Saturday morning two weeks back, I went there with mom for breakfast and accompany her to buy some stuff. I never know that there's a hidden hawker stalls located at the back of the market and has a variety of local Penang food.

It's not a big one but then, it's enough to cater daily market visitor and I had Hokkien And Lor Mixed Noodle for breakfast. Simply delicious and good. Then it's started to rain, which makes eating breakfast chilling and nice. Mom said it's pretty hot on normal day at there.

After breakfast, mom wanted to buy some stuff and so I followed along, turned on my camera and put my finger on the shutter button, and started snapping away. It was late morning and there's stall started to pack up for the day and go home to get some rest after a long morning of work. On the other hand, there's still people coming in to do some last minute buying of vegetable and meat before lunch time arrives.

If were to compare this to other more famous market like the Chowrasta Market and the Cecil Street Market, the Pulau Tikus Market is indeed smaller in size, but somehow, it's still serves the local around the area that with you can find almost everything you need at there.

[Bergambar & Video] Banjir Terburuk Dekad Ini Di Thailand. 100 Buaya Terlepas Dari Sangkar

Posted: 12 Oct 2011 11:10 AM PDT

Banjir Besar, PM Thailand Akui Bangkok Tidak Bersedia

Diterjang Banjir, 100 Buaya Thailand Terlepas

Abdul Malik, the 'plagiarist judge', recuses self!

Posted: 12 Oct 2011 07:18 AM PDT

Now we know the answer to the question,

Almost a week after submitting a motion in the Dewan Rakyat, seeking a tribunal against a Court of Appeal judge for alleged plagiarism, Karpal Singh came face-to-face with the judge today.

NONE It was an awkward moment as Karpal appeared before a three-member panel headed by Justice Abdul Malik Ishak when the former asked for the recusal of the latter (right) in an appeal and cross-appeal over a drug trafficking matter.

Karpal said, "With regret Your Lordship, I ask for your ... recusal from hearing this case following a motion that I filed under Article 127 for a motion of judicial misconduct and a tribunal be set for allegedly plagiarising a judgment written by a Singapore judge."

Justice Abdul Malik said he had received a directive from the Court of Appeal president Justice Md Raus Sharif to chair the panel, also comprising Justices Azhar Ma'ah and Justice Mohtaruddin Baki and stressed that he took his oath as a judge to uphold justice.

DPP Kwan Li Sa said the prosecution has faith in the panel but Karpal reminded them that there was a question of perception if Justice Abdul Malik continues to hear the case.

Following this, the judge said calmly: "The case will be heard on Nov 14 before another panel without me." - hence recusing himself.

Karpal was representing M Kula Segaran, 34, a labourer. He had initially been charged at the Shah Alam High Court with trafficking 12,654.14 grammes of cannabis at a house in Air Hitam, Batu 17½ Puchong about 11.30pm on May 17, 2006.

During the trial, the judge reduced the charge to one of possessing 908 grammes of cannabis at the same place that saw Kula Segaran convicted and sentenced to 12 years' jail and ordered to be caned 10 times.

Karpal is appealing the conviction while the prosecution has filed a cross-appeal to reinstate the trafficking charge that carries the death penalty upon conviction.

Opposition's hand in M'sia-Indon disputes!

Posted: 12 Oct 2011 06:14 AM PDT

Border disputes between Malaysia and Indonesia are taking new turns. While both governments are advocating to diplomatic means to solve the problems, the Oppositions - at both sides - are collaborating to send our governments into turmoil.

While some Indonesian lawmakers are demanding their government to take a 'hard diplomacy' approach in dealing with Malaysia, our own lawmakers (from the Opposition) are trying to lucre from such a dispute by according their support for such a move.

I have heard about it, not once and not twice but several times at hotel lobbies, coffee house and even in a hospital about how proud the Indonesian lawmakers are for the kind of support they get from their 'friends' in Malaysia.

The Opposition would be happy enough to see both countries enter war, I suppose. And I wonder who were the Malaysian traitors during our Confrontation with Indonesia in the early 1960s!

The latest border issue is about the Indonesian accusation that Malaysia has snatched its territory in Camar Bulan and Tanjung Batu in Sambas, West Kalimantan.

It was only two days ago that Anifah Aman and his Indonesian counterpart Marty Natalegawa discussed the issue and agreed to look into it according to the diplomatic channels.

Marty has questioned the demand and rejected any unlawful and undiplomatic approach in dealing with the issue (here), adding that after the government's field investigation, the issue only amounted to a matter of a boundary marker being moved by abrasion and another one being damaged.

He also said the damaged and moved boundary markers shouldn't be a problem because the coordinates of the markers' original positions had been recorded. The Indonesian government would not discuss the territory-snatching allegation with the Malaysian authorities, but that the two countries were currently working together to fix the markers according to the previously agreed coordinates.

However, the pressure by the Indonesian lawmakers are being fueled by 'moral and diplomatic aids' provided by their politician friends in Malaysia.

So, the allegations that the Opposition plans to make Malaysia a republic is true after all. Some of them are so fond of going to Indonesia and hold 'serious talks' with the hardliners over there. The topic of discussion normally centers around 'the bad Malaysian administration' and ways to takeover Putrajaya.

"Benar pak.

Muka Hakim Yang Memplagiat, Hanya Undur Dengar Kes Tapi Tiada Tindakan Ke Atasnya

Hakim Abdul Malik undur diri berikutan usul 'plagiat'

-mk

Karpal: 'Copycat judge should resign'

GEORGE TOWN: The DAP today called on the judge Abdul Malik Ishak, who is alleged to have plagarised a judgement , to resign immediately to save Malaysian judiciary from further embarrassment.

If he failed to do so, DAP national chairman Karpal Singh called on Prime Minister Najib to advice the King to establish a Royal Tribunal to investigate and take stern disciplinary action against the judge.

He said Najib can advice His Majesty to form the tribunal under Article 125 of the Federal Constitution, in similar way it was constituted against former Lord President Mohamed Salleh Abas in 1988.

Karpal also called on Rais Yatim to quit from the Cabinet as well for being an irresponsible law minister by adopting a 'no action' stance even though the government knew about the alleged breach of copyright at that time.

He said the case of judiciary plagiarism was an intellectual dishonesty affecting dignity of the whole country.

"The judge should resign because his position as a judge has become untenable due to this judicial scandal.

"It's a source of embarrassment for our judiciary,"
Karpal, a lawyer by profession, told newsmen during his constituency visit here today.

Now Information, Communications and Culture Minister Rais, formerly a lawyer, was ticked off as well for not initiating any affirmative action on the judge

"Rais should resign immediately for being irresponsible. Being a law minister, he just sat on the case,"
said Karpal,

Citing public examination, Bukit Gelugor MP Karpal argued that a student would be ejected out of the examination hall if he was caught copying.

"But here the judge was promoted,"
he chided.

Noting that the alleged judge was currently sitting in the Court of Appeal bench, the veteran politician raised public fear on possible scenario of Abdul Malik adjudicating cases involving death sentences.

Last week, 60 Pakatan Rakyat MPs led by Karpal pushed for a motion to censure Abdul Malik for an offence he committed as a High Court Judge in early 2000.

Abdul Malik allegedly committed the offence while serving as a High Court judge in Johor in early 2000.

The judge was accused of plagiarising a judgment by then Singapore High Court judge GP Selvam and the irony of the matter was that Malik was hearing a case regarding copyright.

On Thursday, Rais admitted that the government knew about the allegedly plagiarising judge and the matter had been handed over to the Chief Justice of Federal Court then to settle it.

Last week Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Nazri Abdul Aziz said the government could not take action against Abdul Malik as it was a matter for the current judiciary to settle.

Karpal called on the current Chief Justice of Arifin Zakaria to publicly explain what action the Chief Justice Office initiate on the issue.

Stressing that it was an important public interest issue, he said the people have every right to know about the standard and quality of the country's judges.

This is first case of its kind in the country. Relevant authorities should have taken a strong and firm affirmative action to deal with it to save the judiciary from international embarrassment.

"The Chief Justice must tell all what happened after alleged plagiarism took place," insisted Karpal.

A law graduate from the University of Singapore – graduating in 1974, Abdul Malik was appointed as a Judicial Commissioner on Oct 1, 1992, and subsequently, as a Judge of the High Court of Malaya on Aug 17, 1994.

He had also served as a magistrate, deputy public prosecutor, state legal adviser, senior Sessions Court judge and advisory board chairman at the Prime Minister's Department.

The Johor-born Abdul Malik was appointed to the Court of Appeal on July 16, 2007. -FMT

Inikan pula seorang "hakim". Binatang punya manusia!
