Singa pamer kemahiran ambil gambar, jadi model

-dailymail/hm

Umno 'jalan tunggal'? Hidup Umno! Mati demokrasi!

So, Umno is THE ONLY WAY. Non-Malays get lost!

Najib, once upon a time, said he was PM for all Malaysians.

Now, this Umno-appointed PM, like a chameleon, has conveniently changed color.

Obviously, all this 1Malaysia preaching is nothing but damned lies! Why are MCA and MIC so silent?

Shahrizat Kena Pilih Salah Satu: Letak Jawatan Atau Terus 'Dibogelkan'

Lagi pemimpin Umno mahu Shahrizat berundur

Diantaranya, petikan:

Singsing lengan depan orangramai...Sudah buang tabiatkah?

Jangan over la brader…

Remember Jah? Despite what she had to go through in her life before (she lost her 1st husband and son within just months – and to add to that after her husband's death she also found out she had HIV), Jah had always been the happy-go-lucky type of person; always the live-wire in any of our activities, particularly our annual Family Day.

That was until she remarried. Jah did talk to me about her boyfriend then (who was free from HIV) and my question to her had always been whether the boyfriend knew she was HIV positive. Apparently he knew, yet he still wanted to marry her. Jah was of course excited.

Ok then, it was their choice, nobody could stop them. So yes, they got married. And ever since then, I had never been able to contact Jah by phone. She no longer lived with her mother, whose house I used to visit, but went to stay with her husband at her mother-in-law's house. We were no longer able to call her to join us for our Family Day. The only time I got to speak to her was when I'd bump into her at the hospital during her appointments which coincidentally happened to be on the same day as my clinic duty.

The last time I saw Jah was some time in April this year. She was waiting for her turn to see the doctor. I did ask for her latest phone number, but she told me she didn't have any. So I informed her about all our planned activities and gave her my number so that she could call me if she was interested to join any of the activities. She seemed very interested but told me she'd need to go home and seek her husband's permission first. Jah also asked for Shila's phone number. Shila used to be her best friend before Jah remarried. But even Shila complained about Jah no longer keeping in touch with her. Shila in fact, didn't even know Jah got married until I told her about it.

Despite taking down our phone numbers, Jah never did call me or Shila.

When I met Shila after this year's Family Day in The Roots, Tg Rambutan, she did mention to me about Jah's husband who kept sending her text messages, wanting to befriend her, telling her he wanted to marry her etc. Urggh, this guy must be sick! Whenever I met Jah after her marriage, the only person she'd be complaining about would be her mother-in-law who didn't seem to like her, but Jah always had praises for her husband whom to her was "a very loving husband". Of course, she didn't know that the loving husband she had, had been trying to tackle her own best friend.

According to Shila, she did tell him off, but from time to time, he'd still try to contact her. I'm not too sure if he knew about Shila's death just before Ramadhan this year; I had never been able to inform Jah about it as I didn't know how to. Maybe her husband did find out – who knows, maybe he did send his SMS to Shila's phone number which is now held by her mother/sister. Maybe the mother/sister replied the message telling him that Shila had passed on. I don't know for sure.

Anyway, today out of the blue a text message came in on my handphone from an unfamiliar number:

"Askm akak Afizah sy nak betaya ni masa sy nati nk buat sorat beranak anak sy nak macm mana cara ya n ape dokte mita n berape bayaran kus buat sorat beranak n berape kus pebayaran kuluar dari hopita iteri sy nati n akak sy tak pernah melalui macm ni lg akak tolong lg bg tahu"

I had to reread the message to comprehend what the sender was trying to say. Whoever sent that message was actually asking me how to register for his child's birth cert when the time comes, what would the doctor be asking for, how much would be the cost to get the birth cert, and what would be the costs when the wife gets discharged from the hospital.

The first thing I was trying to figure out was… who the hell was the sender of the message? A husband of someone who'd soon be giving birth… but I simply couldn't recall any of clients being pregnant. So I replied the message to ask, "Siapa ni?"

It was only after that did he explain he was Jah's husband. Well, I did reply his earlier queries. Then came his reply, thanking me for the info and asking "boleh ke sy nak mejadi adik akad akak itu pun kut akak sudi" (based on the spellings he had been using in his messages, he probably meant adik angkat, but the irony of it… adik AKAD??)

Allo brader! Jangan la over!!

I decided not to reply his last message. I remembered Shila telling him off and it didn't stop him from contacting her. For the moment I think I'll just use the "no response" tactic first. If he sends me another message, even to seek help for his wife, I'll tell him to get his wife to contact me direct. After all, I'm his wife's buddy, not his!

But right now what I need to do is to check with SN about Jah. I never heard about her being pregnant. SN or the other nurses at the HIV clinic never mentioned anything about it to me either. If Jah really is pregnant, those at the HIV clinic need to know so they can take necessary precautions to avoid transmission of HIV to the child…

Sob Stories?

Posted: 05 Dec 2011 05:45 AM PST

The following article by Mariam Mokhtar is from Malaysiakini.

Spare us your sob-stories, Tony by Mariam Mokhtar

Umno has used race and religion to divide the people but it does not give Tony Fernandes, of AirAsia the right to emulate them and misuse religion for his own ends.

Photographs of a miniature, decorated Christmas tree, on the roof of Fernandes's white convertible, bearing the message: "Help Tony share the holiday spirit" are familiar. Posters which read, "Say no to airport tax increase", are stuck on the sides of the car.

There is nothing Christmassy about the whole spectacle. The tree's role is to draw attention to AirAsia's run-in with airport operator Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB).

This cheap publicity gimmick is another blatant disregard for the sanctity of Christmas. It is tacky and tasteless.

Fernandes may rule the skies, but he lacks support from passengers and airline employees. The public feel cheated. Airline employees are demoralised.

He has tried to milk our sympathy by claiming to be on the side of the air-traveller in his public spat with the MAHB. His fury stems from the latest airport tax increase and the spiralling cost of the new KLIA2 LCCT, estimated at RM3.9 billion, twice the original estimate of 2009.

Match met

Fernandes has finally met his match with the MAHB. He vented his anger on Twitter, with posters plastered around the LCCT, with pop-over messages on internet bookings and with the Christmas tree gimmick.

Fortunately, he can spread awareness about the tax hikes to passengers and try to enlist their support.

But who helps the passengers when they need help?

Equally, who speaks for the thousands of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and Firefly employees who fear for their future?

When AirAsia and MAS announced their share swap (merger according to sceptics), Fernandes and the Malaysian government had no qualms about Fernandes monopolising our skies, squashing fair competition and the lack of choice.

Complaints about AirAsia are reportedly on the rise. Hidden charges are incurred from the time one books a ticket online, to the time one has to telephone to speak to customer service. Changes incur stiff penalties and refunds are not given.

The telephone helpline is expensive, credit card charges are hefty and there have been complaints of shoddy service. Rural passengers with no access to internet bookings pay more for manual bookings.

Further outrage was fuelled with reports that AirAsia withheld payment to MAHB, of the taxes which the budget airline had collected from passengers.

In March 2010, an online news portal disclosed that AirAsia owed RM132 million in airport tax to MAHB.

AirAsia successfully negotiated for a discount on backdated payments and settled RM112 million in arrears. It also received an incentive of RM25 million from MAHB.

Passengers feel cheated that savings have not been passed onto them. The monies would have accrued millions of ringgit in interest.

Thus, the unpaid proportion of the monies, should be repaid, with interest, to the passengers. All passengers should demand this repayment.

Firefly grounded

MAS has also been prevented from fulfilling its role as a community service provider.

firefly airlineIn 2007, Idris Jala, the former MAS MD, said that the routes serviced by the MAS subsidiary, Firefly, were "not served by MAS or other airlines".

Firefly, he said, would boost MAS' revenue and targets: "We would like to call it a community airline with a low cost base. It will be a profitable venture."

Today, East Malaysians have lost their lifeline, the Firefly service, and many travel agents, are furious.

Passengers when contacted said, "Fernandes has made things worse. AirAsia's stealth charges are crippling. Since the share swap, prices have skyrocketed."

Someone who switched loyalties from MAS to a middle-eastern airline thinks the public should not support Fernandes. "Prove his commitment by getting rid of the deadwood in MAS. Cure the wasteful culture in MAS first. Get rid of dodgy contracts and political interference. Give us back an airline we can be proud of."

A former MAS employee alleged, "In my time, there was a lot of pilfering in MAS. Gift packs, toiletries, food, drink, blankets.... I know it is still happens. We did not think it was unethical. Senior management stole billions".

Meanwhile, passengers using AirAsia want an efficient service from the time of booking, to checking-in and disembarking from the plane. High safety standards and courteous staff are also important.

Reports about the poor MAS quality of service have also increased. Complaints of over-booking and of seats being given to members of the entourage of VVIPs are common.

A frequent flyer on MAS said, "During Raya, when the MAS Golden Lounge was quiet, MAS employees took food reserved for the passengers. One ate whilst pushing the food trolley. Another, whilst leaning against the drinks counter. A male colleague smuggled a plate of food to the back. MAS lacks professionalism."

No acknowledgment

A Malaysian returning from Europe alleged that ten months after lodging a complaint, he has yet to receive an acknowledgment. He wonders whether station managers are covering up inefficiencies and have not informed KL head office of the backlog of complaints.

A multi-national company said that their foreign clients complained about the poor command of English, of MAS employees manning their telephone lines in Malaysia.

But the angst is not limited to passengers. Employees allege that the national carrier will stop serving 'the Americas', and that AirAsia would manage these routes.

Staff fear terminations and allege that Fernandes has created a culture of fear with people allegedly snitching on each other.

klia airport 141105 mas aircraft at the terminalCertain grades of employees have been told to reapply for their jobs, with the successful ones receiving new contracts with less favourable terms of employment, including fewer perks.

Wide bodied aircraft (Airbus/747/777) would allegedly be separated from the small bodied jets (737), which may also end up being sold. The 737 pilots feel their career prospects going into a tailspin, with little hope of flying bigger aircraft.

Aviation industry insiders claim not to know which way the industry is heading. Newly qualified pilots cannot be employed, senior managers are unable to plan, all because Fernandes has not divulged his plans to them. Everyone is in limbo.

Fernandes is ensconced with 'Najib & co'. With Najib mum over the actual date for GE-13, his plans are also on hold.

Fernandes is understandably cautious. There is a distinct possibility that his backers may not be around to help him navigate the corridors of power, post-election.

Rakyat Perlu Tahu Fakta Bahawa Malaysia Paling Korup Di Bawah Najib

Posted: 05 Dec 2011 06:02 AM PST

-FMT

Daily prayer of a Medical Doctor

Posted: 05 Dec 2011 03:59 AM PST

Source: "Daily Prayer Of A Physician", from The American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise

Almighty God, Thou has created the human body with infinite wisdom. Ten thousand times ten thousand organs hast Thou combined in it that act unceasingly and harmoniously to preserve the whole in all its beauty the body which is the envelope of the immortal soul. They are ever acting in perfect order, agreement and accord. Yet, when the frailty of matter or the unbridling of passions deranges this order or interrupts this accord, then forces clash and the body crumbles into the primal dust from which it came. Thou sendest to man diseases as beneficent messengers to foretell approaching danger and to urge him to avert it.

Thou has blest Thine earth, Thy rivers and Thy mountains with healing substances; they enable Thy creatures to alleviate their sufferings and to heal their illnesses. Thou hast endowed man with the wisdom to relieve the suffering of his brother, to recognize his disorders, to extract the healing substances, to discover their powers and to prepare and to apply them to suit every ill. In Thine Eternal Providence Thou hast chosen me to watch over the life and health of Thy creatures. I am now about to apply myself to the duties of my profession. Support me, Almighty God, in these great labors that they may benefit mankind, for without Thy help not even the least thing will succeed.

Inspire me with love for my art and for Thy creatures. Do not allow thirst for profit, ambition for renown and admiration, to interfere with my profession, for these are the enemies of truth and of love for mankind and they can lead astray in the great task of attending to the welfare of Thy creatures. Preserve the strength of my body and of my soul that they ever be ready to cheerfully help and support rich and poor, good and bad, enemy as well as friend. In the sufferer let me see only the human being. Illumine my mind that it recognize what presents itself and that it may comprehend what is absent or hidden. Let it not fail to see what is visible, but do not permit it to arrogate to itself the power to see what cannot be seen, for delicate and indefinite are the bounds of the great art of caring for the lives and health of Thy creatures. Let me never be absent-minded. May no strange thoughts divert my attention at the bedside of the sick, or disturb my mind in its silent labors, for great and sacred are the thoughtful deliberations required to preserve the lives and health of Thy creatures.

Grant that my patients have confidence in me and my art and follow my directions and my counsel. Remove from their midst all charlatans and the whole host of officious relatives and know-all nurses, cruel people who arrogantly frustrate the wisest purposes of our art and often lead Thy creatures to their death.

Should those who are wiser than I wish to improve and instruct me, let my soul gratefully follow their guidance; for vast is the extent of our art. Should conceited fools, however, censure me, then let love for my profession steel me against them, so that I remain steadfast without regard for age, for reputation, or for honor, because surrender would bring to Thy creatures sickness and death.

Imbue my soul with gentleness and calmness when older colleagues, proud of their age, wish to displace me or to scorn me or disdainfully to teach me. May even this be of advantage to me, for they know many things of which I am ignorant, but let not their arrogance give me pain. For they are old and old age is not master of the passions. I also hope to attain old age upon this earth, before Thee, Almighty God!

Let me be contented in everything except in the great science of my profession. Never allow the thought to arise in me that I have attained to sufficient knowledge, but vouchsafe to me the strength, the leisure and the ambition ever to extend my knowledge. For art is great, but the mind of man is ever expanding.

Almighty God! Thou hast chosen me in Thy mercy to watch over the life and death of Thy creatures. I now apply myself to my profession. Support me in this great task so that it may benefit mankind, for without Thy help not even the least thing will succeed.

Skandal Lembu: Ada Keperluan Lantik Pakar Asing Untuk Siasat

Posted: 05 Dec 2011 03:22 AM PST

Selangor sedia bawa pakar asing siasat projek lembu

Ketua Wanita UMNO Sinsing Lengan, Buang Tabiatkah?

Selak kain, singsing lengan bukan cara Islam

-HD

Nothing Out Of The Ordinary

Yes..Kuantan is experiencing a few flooded roads here and there..just scattered mild ones.
I assume other affected areas could be within some pocket places in the surrounding villages.
I have not been vigorously spying around..so, my unofficial news may be inaccurate.

But whatever floodings, be it small, medium-kind or extensive, it's a usual phenomena.
No big deal..zero necessity to sound the siren in an alarming motion..

I was telling my cleaner..
"Biar banjir, jangan kemarau, jangan gempa bumi.
Kita mesti bersyukur.."

The kampung folks are very well cared for when the huge monsoon flooding comes a calling.
They get good shelter places complete with blankets, acceptable mattresses, food and other essential supplies.

Financial help would always be handed to them later to ease a bit their losses.
O! The army would also be deployed in full blast to help at the flood relief centres.

Our beloved Majesty HRH The Sultan Of Pahang, HRH Tengku Mahkota, YAB PM Malaysia and YAB MB Pahang would swoop, keep track and make spot checks on them.
When these VVIPs make surprise visits, any inefficiencies would be quickly rectified.
They expect serious services for the rakyat and inadequacies are totally excuseable.

The lazy and hardworking YBs on the other hand, would all quickly dorn their rain coats and rush frantically to their responsible areas, riding the flood waves, helping with the food distribution and showering their sympathies to the flood victims.

**Some YBs would make sure reporters tag along, snapping pictures of them comforting the flood victims, wading in knee high waters, rowing the wooden boats, giving chocs to small children, pacifying and showing pity on old people, poor families, etc..hehe**

The various relevant government departments and agencies responsible for overseeing the comfort of flood victims would be working diligently day and night.
They have been trained to be an industrious and dependable lot..they're so willing to help.
Kudos to them.

So, lets say..if the frequently flooded areas get their annual flood waters, the Pahang government are always prepared to the best of their ability.
They work in the most efficient and organised manner.
Flood prone areas are always given due and eagle-eyed attention.

Of course the daily chores of the flood victims are haphazardly interrupted..isn't that obvious?
But their unfortunate situations are consistently being dealt with collected confidence, loads of patience, cool and calm nerves..Alhamdulillah.
Honestly, so many are thrilled to voluntarily offer their helping hands..^-^

p.s.
This is roughly a little of what I can frankly remember about 4 years ago...
Probably the authorities have now improve many notches more in facing the flood emergencies more expertly..

UMNO Tidak Percaya kepada Ahlinya Sendiri Sehingga Perlu Sumpah Baiah & Akujanji

Posted: 04 Dec 2011 11:24 PM PST

-TMI

Mukhriz Cadang Semua Wakil Rakyat Umno Tandatangan Surat Akujanji

Penang Turf Club Horse Show 2011
#1: Penang Turf Club House Show 2011 poster.

Penang Turf Club Horse Show 2011 – For all the 19 years being in Penang, I have never been into the Penang Turf Club once just until recently. The Penang Turf Club is a horse racing track and there's a golf course in there too. It's similar to some other Equestrian Club or Hong Kong's Happy Valley Jockey Club.

Last weekend, the Penang Turf Club opens it door the public with free parking and free entrance for the Horse Show 2011. It's a carnival where people can see horse, take a ride on the pony, ride on the horse carriage, food stalls, games and more.

#2: Signage that guide you around the horse show.

I went to check it out for a while to see what is it all about and mainly to visit the Penang Turf Club. Actually, you can visit the Penang Turf Club at anytime when there's horse racing, but then you have to pay for RM6 parking and another RM6 for entry to see the horse racing. I would like to see a real horse racing too, but I wouldn't gamble. =)

#3: Quite a number of performance that can be enjoy and view at there.

There's quite a number of activities you can do at the horse show, there's game stall, performance, horse riding and more. I went in to tour a round and check out some cute horses.

#4: Yo, waddduppp horsee.

#5: Looking noob and sleepy.

#6: Itz ME!

#7: Department of Wildlife and National Parks.

I see many parents bring their kids to visit the carnival. I think it's a good place for a good family outing since going to shopping malls will get boring some times.

#8: WTH! Snakes!! Snakes show at Penang Turf Club.

#9: Snake is so ugly, do you like?

#10: Food stalls, not so interesting.

#11: Some games for the kids

#12: Nice gate.

#13: Little boy sitting on a fake horse.

Taking photos at there were kinda fun too as there's many1:1 horse statue for you to ride and take photos.

#14: Clown without make up. Balloon boy!

#15.

#16: Indie band playing on the stage.

#17: Kids.

#18: Take photos on the horse.
Knight!

#19: Cute poster of the Penang Turf Club Horse Show 2011.

#20: Only now I know Penang Turf Club is so nice!

#21: OMGGGGGG, so niceeeeeeeeee
, so green.

#22: Flying phoenix, mechanical horse riding.

#23: Pony riding, for kids only.

#24: Entrance to Penang Turf Club horse racing viewing deck, a place for the adults.

#25: Carriage riding at RM4/ride. Not bad.

I think it's a good carnival and hopefully there will be more similar one from Penang Turf Club. Haha. Didn't really spend a long time at there cause was "saja-saja" touring for fun and take photos. Happy Monday!

Najib a better man at lying, cheating and conniving?

"I back Najib, he is a better man," says Dr Mahathir
Written by Bernama

NEW DELHI (Dec 2): Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad gave a terse political tip for Malaysian voters.
Crediting Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for "correcting wrongs" in the political system, he said the prime minister should be given a chance to lead the country.
"He is gaining popularity, he is correcting wrongs did (committed) by my successor.
"I back Najib, he is a better man, he deserves to be given a chance," Dr Mahathir said at a media conference in Delhi today.
The 86-year-old statesman is here to attend the annual Hindustan Times Leadership Summit where he presented a keynote address.
In his speech, he warned global leaders to note key changes taking place -- failure of central planned economy, influence of social media and the speed of people crossing borders.
"These are radical changes happening in the 21st century. All these will impact whatever we do, political, economic, social or financial areas.
"If we are not willing to admit these changes, we will not be able to attend to these challenges," noted Dr Mahathir.
In his keynote address themed 'The Challenges of Changes in the 21st Century', he said democracy was not a bad system, but not a panacea for all political shortcomings.
"Democracy is the best form of government, it is not the easiest to govern because people do not understand the limitations of democracy," he added. – Bernama

Isu Produk KR1M: Menteri Kesihatan Dikecam Masih Pertahan Produk Tidak Bermutu

Posted: 05 Dec 2011 03:07 AM PST

Pua: Pencemaran E coli susu KR1M diremehkan menteri

"Malah, paling mengejutkan The Star langsung tidak menyebut penemuan E coli," kata Pua.

Penang Tanjung Bungah Goreng Pisang (Pisang Goreng)

#1.

Penang Tanjung Bungah Goreng Pisang (Pisang Goreng) – Pisang Goreng literally means fried banana (banana fritter) is a famous snack food in Malaysia, grammatically it's called Pisang Goreng but Chinese called it the "goreng pisang" more.

Banana is battered and then deep fried in hot oil.. It reveals a crunchy skin with a sweet banana fruit inside.

#2.

There's one stall at Tanjung Bungah, on the junction of Jalan Chan Swee Teong and Jalan Tanjung Bungah, on a little lorry that sells the goreng pisang as well as several other deep fried local snack food like tapioca (RM0.70/pcs), glutinous rice (RM1.50/pcs), banana cake (RM0.50/pcs), yam (RM1.00/pcs), cempedak, sweet potato (RM0.70/pcs) and green bean (RM0.70/pcs). All of them are deep fried with a crunchy outer skin.

#3: Banana cake on the far right. We call it Kueh Kor Lok.

#4: Fried glutinous rice and tapioca.

#5: Fried Yam.

#6: Fried Sweet Potato.

I bought fried banana that day and it was crispy and sweet. Will definitely come back for more fried banana. The little stall has a Facebook page too!

Woohoo! Means there will be more shopping malls to shop in Penang already and I believe the renovation is needed to compete the opening of Gurney Paragon in 2012! Looking forward or not?
