Siapa Lemahkan Melayu?

Siapa Lemahkan Melayu?

Siapa Lemahkan Melayu?

On a Natural High

Posted: 27 Dec 2011 08:11 AM PST

The past few days have been very busy days for me. For one, I started cooking again last week. I closed the kitchen when my boy left for further studies four years ago but I decided to resume my culinary pursuits for a healthier lifestyle. At the same time, the traffic problem in Penang has worsened and believe me, I have never been as impatient as I am today. Weaving my way around the congestion and avoiding double parked cars, drivers who stop inconsiderately at no parking areas or junctions have often made my blood oil, not forgetting those who overtake and zig zag their way down the road with no regard for the safety of others. In an effort to remain sane, I decided to search the net for ways to keep healthy and I discovered the following list which I hope will bring a smile or two to your faces. I resolved to do as much as I can to attain that natural high! Enjoy reading and have a great evening!

Gerakan Mahasiswi Turut Kecam Tindakan Lepas Tangan LPF

LPF mahu lepas tangan

Gambar: Pengerusi & Timbalan Pengerusi SIGMA

Festa filem hantu, lucah

-FMT

Ibrahim Ali, the racist bigot.

He called for 'jihad' against the Christians.
He threatened the Chinese with another May 13 if they went to the streets for Bersih 2.0.

For the above two incidents, no actions were taken against him.

Now, he's demanding the government to charge Rev Eu with sedition.

Just because he said 'bully'?

The call by Ibrahim Ali just proves one thing - that Perkasa is a big bully!

Prof Aziz Bari Mungkin Bertanding Di Parlimen Sabak Bernam

Posted: 27 Dec 2011 07:37 AM PST

Beliau pernah ditahan di bawah Akta Keselamatan Dalam Negeri (ISA) selama dua tahun, bersama Tian Chua, Hishamuddin Rais, Saari Sungib, Mohd.

The Christmas Bombings in Nigeria by Paul Marshall

Posted: 27 Dec 2011 06:27 AM PST

On Christmas Day, churches were bombed in five Nigerian cities — Madalla, Jos, Kano, Damaturu, and Gadaka — leaving dozens, perhaps hundreds, dead or wounded. The killings were apparently the latest handiwork of the violent Islamist group Boko Haram, and they show an increased level not only of violence but also of sophistication, since the explosions were coordinated and widespread, including the northwest, north, and center of the country.

These killings mark a further escalation in the growth of radical forms of Islam in Africa's most populous country. Muslims are a majority in the northern part of Nigeria, Christians are a majority in the south, and the two are about evenly mixed in the middle belt, which has often been the scene of violent conflict. This conflict has tribal and regional dimensions and involves political power, land, and resources, but there is also persistent religious tension.

Beginning in 1999, sharia law, hitherto applicable only to matters of family and personal status, was imposed in twelve northern states, effectively making Islam the de facto official religion in those states, in contravention of the federal constitution. Kano State formed a 9,000-strong Hisba (sharia-enforcement) force. Conflict over sharia led to thousands of deaths.

At about this time, a group named al-Sunna Wal Jamma, and nicknamed "the Taliban," began attacking Christian settlements in Borno State from bases in the hills of neighboring Cameroon. In January 2004, the group led a violent uprising in Yobe State, displacing 10,000 people before federal forces succeeded in quashing it. In January 2007, Alhaji Bello Damagu, the publisher of the Daily Trust newspaper, was charged in the Abuja High Court with receiving money from al-Qaeda to fund the Nigerian Taliban, including payment for people to go for terrorist training in Mauritania. In early 2007, there were further attacks on the police in Kano by a group calling itself the Taliban, leaving dozens dead.

The Nigerian Taliban's current official name is Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati wal-Jihad, but it is more usually known by its nickname, Boko Haram, which translates roughly as "Western civilization is forbidden." In late July 2009, around the town of Maiduguri in he northwest, it attacked police stations, prisons, schools, churches, and homes, burning almost everything in its path.

The violence spread to Borno, Kano, and Yobe, where Boko Haram treated as infidel anyone — Christian or Muslim — who did not conform to its views. Christians were a particular focus of the violence. Many were abducted and forced, under threat of death, to renounce their faith. The riots continued for five days before police were able to stop them, and 700 people were killed in Maiduguri alone.

One arrested Boko Haram member, 23-year-old Abdulrasheed Abubakar, confessed to receiving $5,000 and military training in Afghanistan, with the promise of $35,000 on his return there. On Aug. 9, 2009, the group released a statement aligning itself with al-Qaeda and calling for jihad in response to the killing of its leader, Mallam Mohammed Yusuf. There are also reports that some of its members have trained with militants in Mali linked to the organization al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM).

Boko Haram has now added bombing to its tactics. In August 2011, it claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing of the U.N. headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria's capital, which killed 23 people. While it continues to attack security forces and outposts of Western influence, it is focusing its major attention on killing and displacing Nigeria's Christian population, which, at some 80 million, is the sixth-largest in the world. It is also picking Christmas as a focal time for attacks, a practice being followed by its international allies. In 2010, it attacked five churches in Jos as the congregations were celebrating Christmas Eve.

Boko Haram has declared that it is in a "holy struggle to oust the secular regime and entrench a just Islamic government," and that it will "hunt and gun down those who oppose the rule of sharia in Nigeria and ensure that the infidel does not go unpunished." Its increased sophistication and contacts with other terrorist groups make it a threat not only to the country's Christians and traditional Muslim leaders, but to the stability of Nigeria as a whole. Sunni Sect’s Ruthless Violence against Christians by Nina Shea

Posted: 27 Dec 2011 06:24 AM PST

Boko Haram, the violent Nigerian Islamist group, whose name means "Western civilization is forbidden," struck again yesterday in pitiless bombing attacks against Christian worshippers as they celebrated Christmas.

One blast targeted congregants as they left Christmas-morning Mass at the St. Theresa Catholic Church in Madalla, a suburb of Nigeria's capital, Abuja. The priest said that 35 bodies were recovered and many other people were wounded as the explosion ripped through the church, leaving a crater.

Smaller bombs were detonated near two other churches, including the popular Mountain of Fire and Miracles Church in Jos, Plateau State, where a police guard was killed, and a church in the northeastern area of Gadaka, Yobe State, where no deaths were reported. An estimated total of 40 persons lost their lives in yesterday's violence.

Coordinated violence targeting Christians has become a hallmark of Boko Haram as it seeks to impose strict sharia in areas that are already governed by varying degrees of sharia. Six churches were targeted and at least 150 people were killed in its bombing attacks over several days in November, and half a dozen bombs went off near churches and in a Jos market on Christmas Eve 2010, killing about 30.

Boko Haram has thus engaged in repeated, demonstrable, and violent intolerance toward Christianity, though it is far from the only source of religious violence in Nigeria — on the tribal and village levels, Christians have also attacked Muslims — or even the only source of Nigerian Muslim violence (for example, on Christmas Day 2009, the Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, known as the underwear bomber, attempted to blow up a Northwest Airlines flight headed for Detroit on behalf of al-Qaeda.) Boko Haram's targeting of Christians was noted by the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom in its annual report for 2010.

But apparently this pattern had escaped the notice of the New York Times, which, in its otherwise detailed coverage of yesterday's church violence, concluded that the bombings represented "a new, religion-tinged front" and "another dangerous shift in strategy." At least the Times has finally seen the light.

In a reprise of the administration's statement of condolences a year ago when a Syriac Catholic church in Iraq was bombed during Mass, the White House press office failed to make any observation whatsoever about the religious character of yesterday's violence in Nigeria. Its statement identified neither the victims nor the perpetrators other than to say that they were Nigerian, and omitted any mention of the churches that were the main sites of the bombings. It attributed the violence simply to "terrorist acts," stating in its entirety: "We condemn this senseless violence and tragic loss of life on Christmas Day. We offer our sincere condolences to the Nigerian people and especially those who lost family and loved ones. We have been in contact with Nigerian officials about what initially appear to be terrorist acts and pledge to assist them in bringing those responsible to justice."

Nigeria is Africa's most populated country, a regional power, a significant oil exporter, and an ally. It is critical for both humanitarian and strategic reasons that its society, which is almost evenly split between Muslims and Christians, not enter a period of escalating religious violence. However, it is unlikely that America will be able to contribute constructively if our foreign-policy establishment fails to recognize the goals of radical Sunni Islamist movements there. RM2.7b Untuk Rampas Selangor Dengan Cetuskan Provokasi Burukkan PR

Posted: 27 Dec 2011 06:08 AM PST

Selepas Dapat RM2.71b, Umno-BN Cuba Cetus Huru-Hara

-tvsnews

Dana Rakyat RM2.71b Untuk bolehkan BN Tawan Selangor

-tvsnews

Berbaring Lentuk Atas Peha Teman Lelaki Dalam Kereta

Posted: 27 Dec 2011 04:20 AM PST

Hairannya setelah ditanya kali kedua, si gadis menafikan pula dia sakit kepala sehingga ditegur penguat kuasa kerana memberikan kenyataan berbeza.

-SH

Sour grapes bloggers!

Some dogs bite the hands that feed them. It's normal. But we don't call such a human a dog. We call them sour grapes, the ungrateful or backstabber. In Bahasa Malaysia, there is a perfect proverb for them: 'ibarat kacang lupakan kulit'.

I just want to zoom in to one 'special group' of people - bloggers. Yes, there are pro-government and pro-Opposition bloggers but at the same time, there are also 'on the fence', 'non-align' and 'anomalous' bloggers.

My subject is the anomalous ones.

I know a few of them whom a few years ago did support Umno and Barisan Nasional. To my knowledge, they are Umno members but I don't know what is their status now.

They were among a group of media members and bloggers who went all out to ensure BN, especially Umno during the 2008 general election campaigns. In fact, they were with Umno in the previous national polls, providing undivided support for the party.

It was during this particular eras (under Tun Dr Mahathir and Tun Abdullah) that this group got 'rewarded' - some quite handsomely - by the party and the government. Quite a number became millionaires or live a comfortable life, at least.

I know at least six of such bloggers who were awarded with government contracts (and Umno jobs) for their contribution. I believe Umno recognised their big role then. Some asked for projects, some were offered while the rest just took some 'tokens' away.

To me, it's normal. After all, there is nothing 'free' these days!

However, since Datuk Seri Najib took over, some of this Umno and BN bloggers started to turn their back on the government. They began to despise their own party for not being able to give them what they asked.

They became sour grapes.

I don't want to name them but readers and most bloggers do notice the change of 'aptitude' in them, and I guess the party leadership also realised this.

They have and still attack Umno and the government, criticising the party in a piffle way, belittling all government's policies to the extent that nothing is right about it anymore. Just like some ex-BN leaders who have crossover to Pakatan Rakyat and still enjoy the government's pension, their do not only batter the government but also launch an onslaught on their own race and country.

Their standpoint changes overnight just because the government turned down their request for something. Their footing got loosened when a favor was turned down by the party of the government officials.

They posted overbearing stories about the leaders and Umno, stabbing them from every corner, and referred to the Opposition leaders as the ones who will safeguard their interest should PR wins the next general election.

To me, they are the heinous lots! As some of them are still Umno members, I think it's wise that they leave the party and join the Opposition. They consider themselves of having the prowess to influence voters in the next national poll, hence will be able to help PR through.

I don't want to write more as I believe they are matured enough to weigh their position...

Muhyiddin, YOU memang tak faham pandangan Eu!

Posted: 27 Dec 2011 01:42 AM PST

Reverend Eu Hong Seng, the Christian Federation of Malaysia vice chairperson said, "Today we are constantly reminded of the rights of the majority guaranteed under Article 153 of the constitution. I think we need to talk about the rights of others as well under Article 153. When we talk of the rights of (just) one group, if I may suggest, that is 'bullying'...I have no problem with the rights of the Malays and the sultans in the constitution, but I think what irks many of us are the shifting rights... rights as in 1990, year 2000 or the rights, after everything has been taken away, or rights as in the year when we first celebrated Merdeka."

So, what problem does Malay-first-Malaysian-second DPM have with regards to Eu's statement?

Why is it that only Umno and Perkasa can shout about Malays' 'special' rights?

Non-Malay or non-Bumi Malaysians who are the minority also want to talk about their rights what! If not, then why do we have MCA, MIC and all other component parties in BN in the first place? Are they not suppposed to represent and be the voice of the minority?

As all of us know, all these parties have failed us miserably!

But seriously, do we really need a race-based party to protect a certain race? Obviously, no.

We want a party that will fight for all - the majority and minority - the rakyat and not just for one race only!

[Bergambar] Lucah Jadi Talian Hayat UMNO, Giliran Datuk Saifuddin Jadi Mangsa

Risalah lucah hina Saifuddin di UiTM Shah Alam

SHAH ALAM, 27 Dis: Kumpulan Aktivis Mahasiswa (Kami) mendakwa wujud pihak tertentu menyebarkan risalah lucah di sekitar Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) kampus Shah Alam sejak Khamis lalu.

Kini Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah pula menjadi mangsa. GB pernah menyatakan:

Lalu dibunuhnya Habil. Itu kisah dari Al-Quran.

Tuti Tursilawati dihukum mati pertahan diri cubaan rogol majikan

– Agensi

EXPECTATIONS FOR THE NEW YEAR

Posted: 26 Dec 2011 07:49 PM PST

Malaysians will in the next few days be bidding farewell to 2011 and welcoming 2012. Now, what is in store for Malaysians in the New Year and the years after? Will there be continued peace and prosperity? Will there be greater tolerance, compromises and most of all racial harmony among Malaysians of all races and varying religious denominations?

Will Malaysians be truly a 1 Malaysian society that PM Najib had aspired, or will it remain rhetorical and an unachievable symbol? Will we continue to see race and religious based NGO's and their noisy commotion, propagating their alienable rights to almost everything under the sun? Will we see an earnest desire and a will to curb corruption and abuse of power by the ruling elite (whoever is to rule the country after GE 13)? Will there be greater transparency in dealing businesses with the government and where corporate governance is applied to the hilt, and favoritism, cronyism, tricksters, plunderers and manipulators are things of the past?

I think it is not too difficult to change if there is the will to do so. As of now, I do not see a serious will to change and the moment a change (I mean for the better) is proposed, there will be interested or vested parties clamoring to deny changes from taking place. There will be protest and the reason for not wanting to change; they say is to protect the interest of a particular race and religion. Race and religion seems the surest way of putting the government at ransom and to withdraw any proposal for change, rather than to view the proposal as one of a national need and interest to serve all.

Clearly, this country needs a strong and a committed leader that is able to steer the country towards a better future. We certainly lack that kind of leadership. The country has seen too much of 'flip-flops' and inconsistencies at decision making; the latest being the deferred implementation of the new remuneration scheme for civil servants. The question being asked is how the government could implement a new pay scheme affecting more than a million civil servants without consulting the civil servants themselves. Ignoring CUEPACS is a serious affair and doesn't the government know this? This is what I term as 'dictatorial tendencies' that has got into the heads of the authorities who think that the power and authority entrusted upon them rules the day. I can tell them that no power rules the day; it is the voices of the people that rule the day.

2012 can be the most challenging year for the country. With the 13th General Election drawing close, uncertainties and concerns as to where our future leaders will lead the country are being asked. Should UMNO/BN retain power, are they to continue doing what they have done for the last 54 odd years? Or are they going to be a 'reformed' government that is committed towards the betterment of society – a government that is just and with the serious will to eradicate corruption and abuse of power.
Now what if a new government were to take shape after the election? This will be an 'inexperienced' government so to speak. And can we be assured that this new government can perform better than the previous government? If we were to look at the performance of the opposition held states today, we could be safe in our mind that we can expect the semblance of a fairly good ruling government. But how will they perform ruling the entire nation is something that I do not wish to predict.

Whatever be the outcome of the elections, the future of our nation for 2012 and the years after will rest upon the government that the people elect. Let's vote wisely to put in place a government that truly serves the people.

Finally, I wish to take the opportunity to wish you all my avid readers a Happy an Prosperous New Year.

CRUSADE AGAINST CORRUPTION

Dicekup Buat Maksiat Di Rumah Orang

Posted: 26 Dec 2011 09:30 PM PST

-hm

Sungguh dasyat sekarang ini. Melakukan maksiat tak kira tempat walupun di rumah orang.

The Touchstone

Posted: 26 Dec 2011 05:50 PM PST

When the great library of Alexandria burned, the story goes, one book was saved. But it was not a valuable book; and so a poor man, who could read a little, bought it for a few coppers. The book wasn't very interesting, but between its pages there was something very interesting indeed.

It was a thin strip of vellum on which was written the secret of the "Touchstone"! The touchstone was a small pebble that could turn any common metal into pure gold. The writing explained that it was lying among thousands and thousands of other pebbles that looked exactly like it. But the secret was this: The real stone would feel warm, while ordinary pebbles are cold. So the man sold his few belongings, bought some simple supplies, camped on the seashore, and began testing pebbles.

He knew that if he picked up ordinary pebbles and threw them down again because they were cold, he might pick up the same pebble hundreds of times. So, when he felt one that was cold, he threw it into the sea. He spent a whole day doing this but none of them was the touchstone. Yet he went on and on this way. Pick up a pebble. Cold - throw it into the sea. Pick up another. Throw it into the sea.

The days stretched into weeks and the weeks into months. One day, however, about mid-afternoon, he picked up a pebble and it was warm. He threw it into the sea before he realized what he had done. He had formed such a strong habit of throwing each pebble into the sea that when the one he wanted came along, he still threw it away. So it is with opportunity. Unless we are vigilant, it's easy to fail to recognize an opportunity when it is in hand and it's just as easy to throw it away.
