American Idol vs The Voice: The four finalists. Who were the winners?

Posted: 24 May 2012 08:47 AM PDT

 I know.

American Idol Season 11 has officially ended with Phillip Phillips crowned champion.

Nevertheless, let's go back to the time when only four were left to compete with each other.

Who do your think were the winners - the four finalists of 'American Idol' or 'The Voice'?

To me, the answer is 'The Voice'.

You know why?

Reason being each of the four finalists of 'The Voice' was given a KIA!

Survival Guide for Horror Movies

When it appears that you have killed the monster, never check to see if it's really dead.

If you find that your house is built upon or near a cemetery, was once a church that was used for black masses, had previous inhabitants who went mad or committed suicide or died in some horrible fashion, or had inhabitants who performed satanic practices, move away immediately.

Never read a book of demon summoning aloud, even as a joke.

Do not search the basement, especially if the power has just gone out.

If your children speak to you in Latin or any other language which they should not know, or if they speak to you using a voice which is other than their own, shoot them immediately. It will save you a lot of grief in the long run. NOTE: It will probably take several rounds to do the job, so be prepared.

When you have the benefit of numbers, never pair off and go it alone.

As a general rule, don't solve puzzles that open portals to Hell.

Never stand in, on, above, below, beside, or anywhere near a grave, tomb, crypt, mausoleum, or other house of the dead.

If you're searching for something which caused a noise and find out that it's just the cat, leave the room immediately if you value your life.

If appliances start operating by themselves, move out.

Do not take anything from the dead.

If you find a town which looks deserted, it's probably for good reason. Take the hint and stay away.

Don't fool with recombinant DNA technology unless you're sure you know what you're doing.

If you're running from the monster, expect to trip or fall down at least twice, more if you are of the female persuasion. Also note that, despite the fact that you are running and the monster is merely shambling along, it's still moving fast enough to catch up with you.

If your companions suddenly begin to exhibit uncharacteristic behavior such as hissing, fascination for blood, glowing eyes, increasing hairiness, and so on, get away from them as fast as possible.

Stay away from certain geographical locations, some of which are listed here: Amityville, Elm Street, Transylvania, Nilbog (you're in trouble if you recognize this one), the Bermuda Triangle, or any small town in Maine.

If your car runs out of gas at night, do not go to the nearby deserted-looking house to phone for help.

Beware of strangers bearing tools such as chainsaws, staple guns, hedge trimmers, electric carving knives, combines, lawnmowers, butane torches, soldering irons, band saws, or any device made from deceased companions.

-HD

Kes Najib – Altantuya disiarkan dalam media HongKong

Najib boleh kawal media arus perdana di Malaysia. Tetapi Najib dan bien tak boleh kawal media arus perdana di negara lain. Menurut rakan yang memberikan informasi neh kepada aku, dia cakap ;

1. Berita neh tersiar semalam.

2. Dalam paper terbitan hong kong.

Kesian. Teruskan diperbodohkan sebab korang memang bodoh pun.

Don't you just love child prodigies?

Posted: 24 May 2012 04:16 AM PDT

This is an excerpt from the blog of veteran Malaysian parliamentarian Lim Kit Siang. I just want to bring reader's attention to the part that I've highlighted in red. The antics by the irresponsible UMNO/BN cybertroopers, as LKS describes them, are so thoroughly lame. Says a lot for their intelligence. Just like the army veterans, their brains are located at the wrong end of their bodies. Ha ha...

But what is even more monstrous is the accusation by these UMNO/BN cybertroopers that Lim Guan Eng was also responsible for the May 13 riots of 1969 on the ground that Guan Eng was the DAP Youth leader at the time and was in the forefront of anti-Malay attacks.

This is a triple lie.

Firstly, the DAP was never anti-Malay but was fully committed since our formation in 1966 to be a Malaysian party representing the legitimate rights and interests of all races in the country.

In fact, in 1969 DAP fielded several Malay candidates for parliamentary and state assembly elections and two Malay State Assemblymen were elected on DAP tickets, one in Perak and the other in Negri Sembilan.

Secondly, there was no DAP Youth in l969 as DAPSY (DAP Socialist Youth) was only formed in 1973, and the late P.Patto was the first DAPSY leader.

Thirdly, Guan Eng was only eight years old in May 1969 – and it illustrates how dirty and unprincipled politics has degenerated in Malaysia in the run up to the next general elections that such a despicable and contemptible accusation could be leveled against an eight-year-old child!

Is it any wonder why Bersih's Demands for clean, free and fair elections, in particular in its Bersih 2.0 Eight Demands to "Stop dirty politics", "Stop corruption", "Strengthen public institutions" and "Free and fair access to media" find so little traction with UMNO/BN leaders?

[BERGAMBAR] Lagi Intimidasi Ke Atas Ambiga, Petanda Lebih Cepat UMNO BN Berkubur!

Posted: 24 May 2012 07:05 AM PDT

100, termasuk kumpulan motor serbu rumah Ambiga

-mk

'Ancaman sasar Ambiga kerana dia India, wanita'

WAWANCARA Sasterawan Negara Datuk A Samad Said berkata Pengerusi Bersama BERSIH Datuk S Ambiga menjadi sasaran ancaman pelbagai pihak disebabkan beliau keturunan India dan seorang wanita.

"Ambiga memang sepatutnya (mengetuai).

'Sisa kuasa' hebohkan Melayu disanggah

MP: Petty traders' act public nuisance

Posted: 24 May 2012 03:08 AM PDT

The KL Petty Traders Action Council must be hauled up by the authorities for contravening Section 427 of the Penal Code, said Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng. It is stated under Section 427, anybody who commits mischief and causes damage amounting to RM25 or more shall be imprisoned for a term up to two years or fined, or both, Lim said.
"This is not a Local Government Act but a criminal act. The Deputy IGP (Datuk Seri Khalid Abu Bakar) must be taught. He must be sent back to Pulapol to re-learn all these Acts. Their (traders) actions did not disturb Ambiga alone but all her neighbours as well," he said.
On Monday, the council had marked out night market stall lots on the road in front of Ambiga's house in yellow paint. This was part of the two-day protest, beginning today, where the traders are setting up 60 stalls to serve an expected crowd of 10,000 from 3.30pm to 8pm despite City Hall denying them permits for the stalls. However, Khalid had reiterated that police would not act against the traders because the protest was not an offence as it would be held in public space.
Lim said, all the groups' acts could be considered as public nuisance with the possibility of perpetrators being fined up to RM400 under Section 290 of the Penal Code.
Ambiga had said Malaysians must reject this dangerous trend which intrudes personal space. "To be fair, the police and City Hall have been here since the night the yellow lines were removed. I'm very grateful to them for providing this level of protection," she said after meeting members from Pakatan Rakyat yesterday.

"Zulkifli Bidas Pak Janggut": Utusan Kalah Lagi, Diperintah Bayar RM60,000 Kepada Khalid Samad

Posted: 24 May 2012 03:33 AM PDT

-HD

Milk Bath For Beauty

An older blonde woman heard through a friend that taking a milk bath is good for the skin, will cure stretch marks and make her beautiful again. So she left a note for her milkman to leave 15 gallons of milk instead of the usual amount.

A Blonde's Flight To Chicago

A commercial airplane is in flight to Chicago, when a blonde woman sitting in economy gets up and moves to an open seat in the first class section. A flight attendant watches her do this, and politely informs the woman that she must return to her seat in the economy class because that's the type of ticket she paid for.

The blonde woman replies, "I'm blonde, I'm beautiful, I'm going to Chicago and I'm staying right here."

After repeated attempts and no success convicing the woman to return to economy, the flight attendant goes into the cockpit and informs the pilot and co-pilot that there's a blonde bimbo sitting in first class who refuses to go back to her proper seat.

The co-pilot goes back to the woman and explains why she needs to move, but once again the woman replies by saying, "I'm blonde, I'm beautiful, I'm going to Chicago and I'm staying right here."

The co-pilot returns to the cockpit and suggests that perhaps they should have the arrival gate call the police and have the woman arrested when they land. The pilot says, "You say she's blonde? I'll handle this. I'm married to a blonde. I speak blonde." He kneels down next to the woman and whispers quietly in her ear, and she says, "Oh, I'm sorry," then quickly moves back to her seat in economy class.

The flight attendant and co-pilot are amazed and ask him what he said to get her to move back to economy without causing any fuss.

"I told her first class isn't going to Chicago."

The Blonde Painter

An ambitious young blonde woman, in need of money, decided to hire herself out as a handyman-type. She began, door to door, canvassing a wealthy neighborhood for work. She went to the front door of the first house and asked the owner if he had any jobs for her to do.

"Well, you can paint my porch. How much will you charge?"

The blonde said, "How about 50 dollars?" The man agreed and told her that the paint and ladders that she might need were in the garage. A short time later, the blonde came to the door to collect her money.

"You're finished already?" he asked.

"Yes," the blonde answered, "and I had paint left over, so I gave it two coats." Impressed, the man reached in his pocket for the $50.

"And by the way," the blonde added, "that's not a Porch, it's a Ferrari."

Intelligence Island

Three blonde women were stranded on an island. While trying to dig their way out, one of them came accross a buried lamp. Suddenly a genie appears and offers to grant each one of them one wish, in return for saving him.

The first blonde woman asks to be intelligent. Instantly, she is turned into brown haired woman and she swims off the island.

The second blonde woman asks to be even more intelligent than the previous one. She is instantly turned into a black haired woman. She then builds a boat and sails off the island.

The third blonde asks to become even more intelligent than the previous two. The genie turns her into a man, and he walks across the bridge.

Bersih 3.0: Asrul's eye hit by tear gas may go blind

Posted: 24 May 2012 12:33 AM PDT

One the most serious victims of tear gas during the chaos of Bersih 3.0 rally has come forward today to tell his tale of woe.

If his condition does not improve in six months, Asrul Wadi Ahmad, 26, from Kepala Batas, who has been reviewed by four doctors, may be diagnosed as blind in the right eye.

Asrul told a press conference in Penang that the situation was calm when he was participating in the Bersih protest on April 28 around Masjid Jamek, but suddenly turned chaotic when the tear gas was fired into the crowd and he was hit by a tear gas canister directly on his face at about 3.15pm.

He fell to the ground and was assisted by members of the public who took him to a nearby hospital, where he was given nine stitches below his eyes.

Asrul said, "I lost vision in my right eye, and whenever I look, there is a black spot in my vision. The doctors I consulted told me that the impact on my eye had been due to an object which hit it at high speed."

When asked if he regretted his decision to participate in the rally, Asrul said no as this was the people's struggle and added that he would join another rally if a Bersih 4.0 was organised.

He stressed that as youths of the nation, they had a responsibility to ensure that their country remained democratic.

Asrul, who had been offered a job as a mechanical engineer in a manufacturing company in Penang before the Bersih event, has lost his job. He lamented, saying, "They told me the job needs someone with good eyesight, and with my condition, I can no longer be a suitable employee."

He is in the process of initiating legal action against the police for his condition.

The Bersih event, following the firing of tear gas, had resulted in scores injured, including journalists covering the event, who claimed they were victims of police brutality.

Peserta BERSIH, Asrul Wadi Mungkin Buta Sebelah Mata Akibat Terkena Kanister Gas Pemedih

Posted: 24 May 2012 01:38 AM PDT

[DEDAH] 95% Penjaja Jalan TAR Tak Setuju Tindakan Kumpulan Datuk Jamal

Posted: 23 May 2012 11:04 PM PDT

Sekumpulan peniaga berkecuali isu BERSIH

"Jangan guna nama platform penjaja Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. Guna nama lain.

-mk

Perlancaran Buku & Forum (Terkini)

Posted: 23 May 2012 08:45 PM PDT

NZ travelogue: Little Farm Homestay in Oamaru

Posted: 23 May 2012 06:50 PM PDT

I didn't expect my wife to catch me having a quiet conversation with our hostess, Julie Barclay, before breakfast at The Little Farm Homestay in Oamaru, New Zealand. We had just returned from watching the penguins at the Bushy Beach Scenic Reserve and we were famished. We arrived back at the house just as Julie was putting the finishing touches on our breakfast and I was curious to see what she had prepared for us.

We were quite surprised by the hearty portions before us. I had thought that our breakfast couldn't be better than the one we ate at the Albatross Inn just the day before but obviously, I was wrong. Delightfully wrong, as it turned out because this breakfast topped everything else that we had.

As can be seen from the picture, there was quite a lot of food on the plate. And as we ate, Julie was always nearby to engage us in conversation about our visit to her country. We shared a lot of information. This is definitely one of the better examples of homestay programmes. My wife wasn't disappointed with the stay here.

All too soon, we had to leave but not before we undertook a quick look around her compound. It is really a place to relax if you have all the time in the world.

And finally, here is Saw See with Julie. Hopefully, our paths may cross again one day.

Dibelasah gadis samseng

-hm

Ambiga thanks DBKL, cops for keeping watch

Bersih co-chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan has expressed her gratitude to the police and Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), whose officers have painted over the stall lots marked outside her house by petty traders. "To their credit, they (DBKL) have been here non-stop, and so have the police. So I am grateful to them for providing this level of protection," she said today. She reiterated that she would like to return public attention to Bersih's calls for clean and fair elections, and urged those with grievances against her to take the matter to court.
She said this during a visit by Pakatan Rakyat representatives to her Bukit Damansara house, which has been the site of several protests over the past two weeks by those against the Bersih 3.0 rally on April 28. The visitors comprised 10 MPs, a senator and several municipal councillors including Cheras MP Tan Kok Wai, Senator Ramakrishnan Suppiah, Kepong MP Tan Seng Giaw, Shah Alam MP Khalid Abdul Samad, and Kuala Selangor MP Dzulkefly Ahmad.
On Monday, the Kuala Lumpur Petty Traders Action Council, which claimed to have suffered losses due to the rally, had marked outlots for stalls and put these up for 'sale' ahead of a planned two-day protest from tomorrow. However, DBKL painted out the yellow markings about 11pm the same day.
Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng, a lawyer who was in the Pakatan delegation, explained to reporters how the protests in front of Ambiga's residence amount to criminal offences. He referred to the Minor Offences Act and the Penal Code, rebutting deputy police chief's Khalid Abu Bakar's assertion that the protests are not criminal offences.
Under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act, Lim said, a person engaging in insulting behaviour such as the 'butt exercises' protest by army veterans on May 15 can be fined up to RM100 upon conviction. Under Section 268 of the Penal Code, a person who is being a public nuisance can be slapped with a fine up to RM400.
The marking of lots for stalls can be construed as 'mischief', he noted, and would be an offence under Section 425 of the Penal Code. It is punishable by a three-month jail term, a fine, or both. Since DBKL spent part of the night painting over the markings, the damage caused must have also exceeded RM25, Lim said. This is punishable by a two-year jail term, or a fine, or both, under Section 427 of the Penal Code.
"The Deputy IGP must be sent back to (the Police Training Centre) to learn all these Acts," quipped Lim.
'Selective persecution'
Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar, meanwhile, slammed the government over its 'selective persecution' in charging three PKR leaders yesterday with offences related to the Bersih 3.0 rally. While party de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim, deputy president Azmin Ali and former supreme council member Badrul Hisham Shaharin have been charged, Nurul Izzah said, there has been no action against other protesters - whether at Bersih 3.0 or in front of Ambiga's house. "Whatever action taken by the police or the Attorney-General's Chambers has to reflect consistency, proper judicial conduct and justice in general. It saddens me. We are supposed to feel equal under the Malaysian sun," she said.
