# Mulai belajar agama sekitar tahun 1990.

Bersih leader, victim of police violence, got mugged!

Bersih leader blames police for bloody mugging

By Shannon Teoh
June 09, 2012
KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 — Bersih steering committee member Wong Chin Huat accused police today of focusing on quashing protests instead of crime after he was left with a bloodied face from being mugged by a group of bikers this morning.
The Monash University lecturer wrote on social media platform Facebook that he was jogging near his home in Section 18, Petaling Jaya at 7.40am when he was surrounded by a group of as least five young men who attacked him when he tried to flee.

"I had been a victim of police violence. Today I become a victim of police failure in deterring crime. No, it was not politically motivated. They were only after money. "But rising crime rate is political. Was told another man was robbed recently in that neighbourhood. Where are the police when we are not demonstrating?" he wrote, referring to clashes between police and supporters of Bersih's April 28 rally for free and fair elections.
Wong has just been discharged from Universiti Malaya Medical Centre after an X-ray.
Bersih's planned sit-in at Dataran Merdeka had descended into chaos after some protestors tried to enter the historic square which the court had barred to the public and the past month has seen authorities and those backing the rally blaming each other for the violence that resulted.
Several dozen members of the public have come forward with allegations of police brutality while the police and Home Ministry insist they have evidence that some who attended the rally wanted bloodshed and even death.
The government has set up a panel to investigate the April 28 violence, but the choice of former police chief Tun Hanif Omar has been widely criticised after he compared the movement to communism and accused the organisers of an attempted coup.
The April 28 rally that saw tens of thousands gather at six different locations before heading to Dataran Merdeka was peaceful until about 2.30pm when Bersih leader Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan asked the crowd to disperse.
But her announcement was not heard by most of the crowd who persisted to linger around the historic square which the court had already barred to the public over the weekend.
Just before 3pm, some protestors breached the barricade surrounding the landmark, leading police to disperse the crowd with tear gas and water cannons.
Police then continued to pursue rally-goers down several streets amid chaotic scenes which saw violence from both sides over the next four hours.
Several dozen demonstrators have claimed that they were assaulted by groups of over 10 policemen at a time and visual evidence appears to back their claim but police also point to violence from rally-goers who also attacked a police car.
The police car then crashed into a building before some protestors flipped it on its side.
Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and PKR deputy president Azmin Ali have been accused of ordering the breach and are currently awaiting trial under the Peaceful Assembly Act for participating in an illegal street assembly.

Rafizi Terbit Filem ‘Lembu NFC 2012′

Posted: 09 Jun 2012 08:38 AM PDT

Skandal NFC menggemparkan negara apabila pendedahan demi pendedahan dilakukan KEADILAN berhubung penyelewengan dana sebanyak RM250 juta dilakukan NFCorp yang dimiliki keluarga Ketua Wanita Umno, Datuk Seri Shahrizat Jalil.

-KD

Beri alasan tumpang tidur

-SH

Ulasan GB

Dasyat betul kehidupan remaja masakini. Boleh tumpang tidur di rumah "teman".

Sudah terlalu jauh dengan nilai keagamaan.

Love In A Paper Bag

Posted: 09 Jun 2012 03:45 AM PDT

This is the true story of Robert Fulghum and his 7-year-old daughter Molly.

It was Molly's job to hand her father his brown paper lunch bag each morning before he headed off to work. One morning, in addition to his usual lunch bag, Molly handed him a second paper bag. This one was worn and held together with duct tape, staples, and paper clips.

"Why two bags" Fulghum asked.

"The other is something else," Molly answered.

"What's in it?"

"Just some stuff. Take it with you."

Not wanting to hold court over the matter, Fulghum stuffed both sacks into his briefcase, kissed Molly and rushed off.

At midday, while hurriedly scarfing down his real lunch, he tore open Molly's bag and shook out the contents: two hair ribbons, three small stones, a plastic dinosaur, a pencil stub, a tiny sea shell, two animal crackers, a marble, a used lipstick, a small doll, two chocolate kisses, and 13 pennies.

Fulghum smiled, finished eating, and swept the desk clean - into the wastebasket - leftover lunch, Molly's junk and all.

That evening, Molly ran up behind him as he read the paper.

"Where's my bag?"

"What bag?"

"You know, the one I gave you this morning."

"I left it at the office. Why?"

"I forgot to put this note in it," she said. "And, besides, those are my things in the sack, Daddy, the ones I really like - I thought you might like to play with them, but now I want them back. You didn't lose the bag, did you, Daddy?"

"Oh, no," he said, lying. "I just forgot to bring it home. I'll bring it tomorrow."

While Molly hugged her father's neck, he unfolded the note that had not made it into the sack: "I love you, Daddy."

Molly had given him her treasures. All that a 7-year-old held dear. Love in a paper sack, and he missed it - not only missed it, but had thrown it in the wastebasket. So back he went to the office. Just ahead of the night janitor, he picked up the wastebasket and poured the contents on his desk.

After washing the mustard off the dinosaurs and spraying the whole thing with breath-freshener to kill the smell of onions, he carefully smoothed out the wadded ball of brown paper, put the treasures inside and carried it home gingerly, like and injured kitten. The bag didn't look so good, but the stuff was all there and that's what counted.

After dinner, he asked Molly to tell him about the stuff in the sack. It took a long time to tell. Everything had a story or a memory or was attached to dreams and imaginary friends. Fairies had brought some of the things. He had given her the chocolate kisses, and she had kept them for when she needed them.

"Sometimes I think of all the times in this sweet life," Fulghum concludes the story, "when I must have missed the affection I was being given. A friend calls this 'standing knee deep in the river and dying of thirst.' "

The journey with the people we love is all that really matters. Such a simple truth so easily forgotten.

-Author Unknown-

Yes, I know I am quite a sentimental person. However, now I can say I USED TO BE a sentimental person. Previously, I would react tearfully to such a story. My current sedate reaction is the result of painful jolts to reality. Life is strange. There are those who love and those who cannot love and yet, there are also those who want to be loved and do not want to receive love.

When paths cross and lives are enriched, it is a tragedy when paths diverge by a twist of fate, circumstances, differences or worse still, unspoken words.

Now, I treasure who and what matter, what REALLY matters. In this fast paced life, it is far too easy to lose sight of that. And if we do, it is our loss when people we love or who love us walk away, never to return. Sometimes, it could be due to death whilst other times it could be other circumstances. Whatever it is, in our pursuit of whatever agenda or objectives, may we never lose sight of those who really love and care for us.

Martial Law is one form of RULE by LAW not a Rule of Law

Posted: 09 Jun 2012 02:51 AM PDT

My best friend sent a message:

DASSK recently voiced about "Rule of Law" or "Law & Order".

She also mentioned that majority should respect minorities.

With all respect to her, I think this is not enough. We need to add more, based on our experience.

We have witnessed " State Law and Order Restoration Council/ SLORC" . Does she mean that situation? Definitely not. In order to have meaningful "Law & Order", I believe prerequisites (preconditions) need to be achieved first. Otherwise keeping "Law & Order" necessitate shooting people by armed security.

Prerequisites for meaningful "Law & Order" :

a. Inclination towards Peace- propel should be willing to live in peace whether they are Muslims, Bhama or Rakhine. The state has the responsibility to advocate such attitude and need to create such environment.

b. Empathy towards minorities ( e.g Rohingyas): Empathy (D. M. Berger, WiKi) means "The capacity to know emotionally what another is experiencing from within the frame of reference of that other person, the capacity to sample the feelings of another or to put one's self in another's shoes. In Burma, nobody wants to deal with Muslims of Northern Arakan. They may be Rohingya or Bengali or Illegal or Guest…whoever. but no one gave any solution to their livelihood. They are in nowhere. The state has the responsibility to deal with them in positive manner. The state and other people in state must have " empathy" on those people.

c. Bulding Trust among different entities: Rkhines and Muslims ( Rohingyas and as well as Bengalis) lived together for several centuries. Rakhines are living in Bangladesh now with full rights and nobody talks about that. Even Narinjara is operated by Bangladeshi Rakhines from Dhaka. Muslims and Rakhines had no remarkable conflicts except one in 1942, which was due to power vacuum during Second World War. Rakhines and Muslims are still living together in the whole Arakan as well as in Bangladesh. However one thing is terribly missing, which is TRUST. Needless to say that Rakhines are chauvinist but the main factor seems to be Burmese government through the history. The state never attempted to build trust between Rakhines and Muslims, instead, continuously tried opposite.

d. Legislate and enforce but failed to Educate " Law and Order" : Burmese governments are notorious on enforcing law and order but seldom motivate or educate to understand and respect law and order.

That Unforgettable Race

Posted: 09 Jun 2012 02:31 AM PDT

Quit, Give up! You're beaten! They shout at me and plead
There's just too much against you now, this time you can't succeed.

And as I start to hang my head in front of failure's face
My downward fall is broken by the memory of a race.

And hope fills my weakened will, as I recall that scene,
For just the thought of that short race rejuvenates my being.

A children's race — young boys, young girls,
How I remember so well.

They all lined up so full of hope; each thought to win that race
Or tie for first, or if not that, at least tie for second place.

And every parent watched from off on the side, cheering for their daughters and their sons
And every kid hoped to show their mom and dad, that they would be the one.

The whistle blew and off they went, young hearts and hopes afire
To win and be the hero was each and every kid's desire.

And one boy in particular whose dad was in the crowd
Was running near the lead and thought, my dad will be so proud.

But as they speeded down the field, across a shallow dip
The little boy who thought to win, lost his step and slipped.

And trying hard to catch himself, his hands flew out to brace
Mid the laughter of the crowd he fell right upon his face.

So down he fell and with him hope, he couldn't win it now;
Embarrassed, sad, if he could only disappear somehow.

But as he fell his dad stood up and showed his anxious face
Which to the boy so clearly said, "Get up and win the race."

He quickly rose, no damage done, behind a bit, that's all
And ran with all his mind and might to make up for his fall.

So anxious to restore himself — to catch up and to win
His mind went faster than his legs -- and he slipped and fell again.

He wished that he had quit before with only one disgrace,
"I'm hopeless as a runner now; I shouldn't try to race."

But in the laughing crowd, he searched and found his father's face
That steady look which said again, "Get up and win the race."

So up he jumped to try again, ten yards behind the last
"If I'm going to gain those yards," he thought, "I've got to move real fast."

Exerting everything he had, he regained eight or ten
But trying so hard to catch the lead he slipped and fell again.

Defeat! He lay there silently, a tear dropped from his eye,
"There's no sense running any more. Three strikes, I'm out. Why should I even try?

The will to rise had disappeared, all hope had fled away,
So far behind, so error prone, a loser all the way.

"I've lose, so what's the use?" he thought, "I'll live with my disgrace,"
But then he thought about his dad whom soon he'd have to face.

Get up, and echo sounded, get up and take your place:
"You were not meant for failure here. Get up and win the race."

With borrowed will, "Get up," it said, "You haven't lost at all.
For winning is no more than this: To rise each time you fall."

So up he rose to run once more, and with a new commit
He resolved that win or lose, at least he wouldn't quit.

So far behind the others now, the most he'd ever been,
Still he gave it all he had and ran as though to win.

Three times he'd fallen, stumbling: Three time he rose again,
Too far behind to hope to win, he still ran his best to the end.

They cheered the winning runner as she crossed the line in first place
Head high and proud, and happy, no falling, no disgrace.

But when the fallen youngster crossed the line in final place,
The crowd gave him the greatest cheer for just finishing the race.

And even though he came in last with head bowed low, not proud,
You would have thought he'd won the race to listen to the crowd.

And to his dad he sadly said, "I didn't do so well."
"To me, you won," his father said, "You rose each time you fell."

And now when things seem dark and hard and difficult to face,
The memory of that little boy should help all of us in our race.

For all of life is like that race with ups and down and all
And all you have to do to win, is rise each time you fall.

"Quit, give up, you're beaten," they will always shout in your face,
But another voice within you will say, "Get up and win the race."

Bullfights, anyone?

Posted: 09 Jun 2012 12:34 AM PDT

So I guess everything happens for a reason. Every single little thing.

For some reason today I had been reminiscing about the bullfights my friends (Irda & Ben) and I had witnessed, seven years ago. Seven years that feels like yesterday.

So all these flashbacks took me to my old Fotopages where I had all the photos uploaded – this (click for write-up) and this (click for photos). And oh, I noticed something. The bullfight day was on 19th June 2005. And that's my estimated due date, this year! In ten days. I love coincidences like these!

To be honest, it's quite disturbing to have the images of the whole bullfighting scenes playing at the back of my head. Especially in times like these. Who needs to be reminded of raw brutality towards animals when you're counting days to pop the baby out! Right.

But let's take it this way. Probably Allah is trying to answer my call. In quite a weird way but at least I get some answers. I've been somewhat paranoid about all these labor episodes. The possibilities are too vague for me to even imagine.  Or probably I'm just too scared to imagine anything.

This is my first time. I guess it's just fair to feel this way. Or I hope so.

So. This is how I wan't to view this whole bullfight-flashback thingy. The bull is like the labor pain. I'm the matador, whose job is obviously, to fight the bull. Hence, my job, is, technically to fight the labor pain.

By the way, the hero of the bullfight show – the matador who brought down the toughest bull – his name is Javier (pronounced ha-vi-yer).  The bull that Javier fought was MASSIVE. And definitely a STRONG one. But did Ha-vi-yer win? He did. How did he win? He was persistent. He was fearless. Well probably he feared.  But he fought his fear. And he didn' t freak out.

Anything goes, as long as massive bull goes down. I should do just that too. Yes. My job is to just be brave and strong and handle the pain. And pray that everything goes well, Insyaallah. After all, there's a priceless reward awaits at the end of it, right? :)

I can be Javier too. As long as I don't freak out.

Please pray that everything goes well for me, and of course, for all expecting mums out there too. Amin.

p.s.: Mak, I love you.

Sama Macam Lembu NFC, Nong Chik Diberi Projek Pada 2006 Tetapi Ditandatangani 2010

Nong Chik tak jawab persoalan kontrak anak RM30 juta- Zuraida

"Malah, jawapan Raja Nong Chik menimbulkan banyak persoalan lain.

-KD

Anak Raja Nong Chik Diberi Kontrek Bernilai RM30.8 Juta Oleh Kem Belia Dan Sukan!

Syarikat milik Raja Farhana Raja Nong Chik, anak kepada Dato' Raja Nong Chik Bin Dato' Raja Zainal Abidin, Menteri Wilayah Persekutuan Dan Kesejahteraan Bandar diberikan kontrek memasang dan penyelenggaraan bernilai rm30.8 juta oleh Kementerian Belia Dan Sukan. (sila lihat dokumen dibawah)

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is right in suggesting that the violence could have been instigated intentionally

Posted: 08 Jun 2012 11:10 PM PDT

What has triggered the unrest in Rakhine state remains a mystery and prior to Friday's riots, some prominent Burmese, including Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, had suggested the violence could have been instigated intentionally, but have not said why, or by whom.
The government on Thursday announced it had appointed a minister and police chief to head an investigation into the "organised lawless and anarchic acts" in Rakhine state.

SOURCE: BDNews24.com: 4 killed in Rohingya riot in Myanmar

Yangon, Jun 9 (bdnews24.com/Reuters) – Four people were killed when hundreds of Rohingya Muslims rioted in a Buddhist community in Myanmar on Friday, a government official said, as communal tensions boil over in troubled Rakhine state.
A curfew was imposed in the state's Muangdaw township after Rohingyas, who are mostly stateless Muslims of South Asian descent and subjected to tight restrictions by the authorities, went on the rampage following Friday prayers at a mosque.
They hurled rocks and torched houses and buildings, witnesses told Reuters by telephone.
Hmu Zaw, a senior official in President Thein Sein's office, said on his Facebook page four Buddhists, among them a doctor and an elderly man, had died of multiple knife wounds. A Muangdaw hospital official said one was killed and four wounded.
The escalating unrest in Rakhine state, in the west, presents a major challenge to Thein Sein's reformist government, which replaced a military junta last year and says it wants to forge national unity among all ethnicities and religions in Myanmar, one of Asia's most ethnically diverse countries.
However, unless it spirals out of control, it is unlikely to deter Western governments who are keen push reforms and improve ties with the country long isolated by international sanctions.
A Rohingya politician and an activist, citing local sources, said the riots erupted after security forces had opened fire on Rohingyas and several of them were killed.
The accounts provided by sources contacted by Reuters could not be immediately verified.
State MRTV made no mention of the unrest in its night-time news bulletin but reported a curfew had been imposed in Maungdaw and Buthidaung in Rakhine state. Both are dominated by Rohingyas.
The riots came five days after 10 Muslims, who were not Rohingyas, were killed by Buddhist vigilantes who intercepted the bus they were travelling on in Rakhine's Taunggoke town, an incident that angered Muslims and led to a rare protest in Myanmar's biggest city, Yangon.
The attack followed the distribution of leaflets in Rakhine calling for retribution for the gang rape and killing of a young Buddhist woman several days earlier.
Resentment of Rohingyas runs deep among Myanmar's predominantly Buddhist, ethnic Burman majority. The government and many Burmese refuse to recognise them as "Rohingyas" – how they are known outside Myanmar – instead referring to them as "Bengalis".
MRTV reported three men had gone on trial for the rape and murder of the woman on Friday, referring to them as Bengalis.
Situation "critical"
The UN refugee agency estimates members of the minority group number some 800,000 in three districts of Rakhine state bordering Bangladesh.
Most Rohingyas are stateless, recognised by neither Myanmar nor Bangladesh, and thousands flee each year on small boats, to work illegally in Thailand and Malaysia.
Abu Tahay, chairman of the National Democratic Party for Development, a Rohingya political party, said Buddhists hurled stones at the mosque in Muangdaw and five Rohingyas were shot dead after an argument with security forces. The details could not be independently confirmed.
He said nearby Buthidaung was braced for trouble. "The situation is now very critical and unstable," he said by phone from Yangon. "Violence hasn't started yet, but it might soon."
It took the unusual step of announcing the probe on the front pages of official newspapers on Thursday and quickly removed from news websites references to Muslims as "kalar", a derogatory term for Muslims of South Asian descent in Myanmar.
Prominent Muslims distanced themselves from Friday's unrest.
"We're talking, to work together with the authorities and our national brethren to control the situation," said Soe Myint, a Muslim elder in Yangon, referring to the escalating tensions.
"We're worried that what these Bengalis are doing will make our brethren misunderstand us."
In fiery comments, prominent activist and former political prisoner Ko Ko Gyi blamed the conflict on Rohingyas and said the violence was not being fuelled by religion.
"Rohingyas are not a Myanmar ethnic race," he told reporters. "It has become a national concern infringing on our sovereignty."

SPR Mansuhkan Pamer & Bantah Untuk Elak Bakal Calon UMNO/BN Ditolak

Posted: 08 Jun 2012 09:23 PM PDT

Mansuh pamer bantah elak calon BN disabotaj?

Kelantan International Kite Festival 2012

Posted: 08 Jun 2012 07:14 PM PDT

The 30th edition of Pesta Wau Antarabangsa Kelantan (Kelantan International Kite Festival) was held from 5th - 9th June 2012 at Pantai Geting, Tumpat. Since it it was held during the school holidays and was part of the Visit Kelantan Year 2012 calendar of events, it attracted a sizable crowd.
Events detail is as per the picture below. Both pictures were taken from cutikelantan.com.

I have missed all the 29 events held earlier due to several reasons among which are my not being in Kelantan when the event was held, lack of interest and initiative, lack of ability to remember the date of the event or lack of publicity about the event. All of these made me regret for not attending the yearly event which has gained international stature.
It was upon the insistence of the other half that made me go to the event after the Friday prayers. Given my choice I would have opted to go to slumberland to catch up on much needed sleep staying awake watching the live coverage of The French Open.
Despite the lack of direction signages leading to the events side, the sight of the flying kites showed us the general direction of where to go. By following the direction taken by the other cars heading the same way, we reached the site at Pantai Geting.
The weather at the time of arrival was cloudy and windy, a perfect condition for both participants and visitors.

Kites flying from the junction leading to Pengkalan Kubur to the left.

The flying kites as seen when we get nearer.

We finally reached the site and I was lucky to find a place to park not far from the site.

One for the album of my wife Fatthiyah.

All sort of kites in various shape and sizes were flown including the local wau which I didn't manage to photograph as not many were being flown then or if they were flown, they would be too high up in the sky and becomes too small to photograph. So just enjoy what I have to show.

The Monkey Kite as the owners call it is flying high.

The persons flying the kites are international participants from India. Here they are. Unfortunately I couldn't remember their names.

All participants were given commemorative T-Shirts of the event to wear.

Helmut Georgi from Vienna, Austria allowed me to handle his kite. This is the third time Helmut participated in the Kelantan International Kite festival.

This stack of six kites attracted my attention.
Andreas Fischbacher from Germany is the proud owner of  the stack of kites. The pull from the kite was so hard that they had to be tied to a parked tractor to hold them in place. later Andreas did a stunt by trying to hang on to the kite lines which brought him down to the soft sands.
Suddenly the sky open up and rain came to spoil the show. All the participants pulled down their kites.

This German guy was anxious as he had a camera attached to his kite taking aerial shots with his remote control.

Here he was seen showing his wonderful shots to his local assistant.

The remote control he used to shoot or tilt the camera with the camera attached to his kite.
The stack of fish, cat and whatever belonging to Andreas had to come down too.
Down on the ground. Drying them up is a priority now. It would not be a problem if the hot sun is up. But will the sun comes up since it was evening and the rain is yet to stop.
The proud tiger kite and his puffer fish kite is down too.

The monkey kite is safely down under the tent under the watchful eyes of the owner.
Since the rain subsided, we decided to go home. The way out was jammed tight. How I wish the organizer would place traffic marshals to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. Given the mentality of some of these drivers, which can be as low as the toilet, many started to jump queue. It it took was for one person to do it and many more would follow suit. It took us almost an hour to get out of the jam over a distance of about a kilometer. Come next year's Kelantan International Kite Festival, I will know what to prepare, have a rain coat ready in case it rains.

Dugaan Mendatang..........

Posted: 08 Jun 2012 06:07 PM PDT

Assalamualaikum & Salam to all,
Pagi ni masih kerja lagi seperti biasa, kerja menimbung sejak kebelakangan ni, bukan nak merungut tapi tu la hakikat yang harus ditempuh, kerja tak pernah habis, kalau kerja dah habis jawapnya kene berhenti la kerja, haha, jangan buat pasal, takde keje macam mana nak isi perut ni, pagi ni aku tinggal kan wife aku kat rumah mak aku, wife aku sakit, then aku nak tak nak kene keje gak, sebab nak habiskan kerja, mungkin balik keje awal sikit hari ni, hujan malam tadi bukan main lama, renyai-renyai macam dalam hati aku ni juga sedih je bila tgk wife aku menahan sakit, sekejap-sekejap dia kejutkan aku, kesian betul.

i love my wife........until end of life.........
