[BONGKAR] Helah SPR Untuk Tambahkan Lagi Pengundi Untuk BN Rampas Selangor

Selangor catat pengundi belum daftar tertinggi, kata SPR

Selangor kerana mereka sememangnya meletakkan sasaran to capture Selangor by hook or by crook sementara di Johor pula apabila didapati angin perubahan rakyat Johor sekarang kini sudah mula berpihak kepada Pakatan Rakyat.

Dr M: Opposition is 'privileged' in committing criminal acts

By Clara Chooi
June 04, 2012

I'm sure Dr M knows that there is also the public perception of a group of Umno elites who is privileged in committing "blatant criminal acts" and the best part is they always get away with it!

The Sponsored Children – After SPM…

Posted: 04 Jun 2012 06:05 AM PDT

When we first started our Education Sponsorship for Children programme back in 2008, our main objective was to make sure the children of our HIV infected/affected families are not deprived of basic education at least, no matter what their parents have to go through. So the sponsorship was to help them get through schooling up to form 5 at least or form 6 at most. Since we depend on the public to support us in this cause, we figured getting these children go through school was fair enough.

From  children sponsored in 2008, now the number has increased to 33. And last year, for the first time, we had 5 of our sponsored children who sat for their SPM.

So where are these 5 children headed to after their SPM? Do they continue their studies or do they start working life at a young age, based only on their SPM?

One has gone to report to a matriculation college last week.

Two has decided to continue with form 6.

One is arranging to apply for a place at a polytechnic (she missed the earlier deadline for application via UPU but went to the polytechnic personally and was told she could still apply directly through the polytechnic website).

The last one got a place to do a skill training course for 2 years. Once he completes the course, he can use the cert to further his skill training programme at a higher level.

So… YAYYYY!! All of them are not stopping at SPM. Given the fact they come from poor families, that in itself is an achievement, especially when one of them had already mentioned earlier that he planned to start working immediately after SPM to help ease his family's burden.

I had always reminded them about the importance of education for their future, or at least get a skill cert based on their field of interest, so that they will have something more than just SPM to support their job applications later on.

I am so glad they took the advise. Good luck kids! May the future be brighter for your families…

[DEDAH] Rakyat Ditipu Dengan Subsidi Petrol

Posted: 04 Jun 2012 07:30 AM PDT

-blog.marhaen.info

The Proposal

Posted: 04 Jun 2012 05:20 AM PDT

The following post really resonates with me because I am terribly forgetful nowadays! Thanks to Freddie who sent me this joke and who drove all the way to my home to give me a present = a thimble that he bought for me and also the two I asked him to buy. For over 20 years, I have been collecting:
  • thimbles
  • teapots and chinese tea cups
  • white and blue pottery
  • nyonya pottery
  • shot and whisky glasses
  • spoons
  • teddy bears
  • Superheroes figurines (believe me - I have an extensive collection, Transformers toys and Mighty Max toys (supposedly for my sons but in reality for myself haha)
  • paper bags, handbags etc
  • jigsaw puzzles and all kinds of 3-D puzzles
  • books, cds
  • candle-stands, candles, fridge magnets
  • and lots of other stuff
Freddie could not believe what I had amassed through the years! Anyway, here's a joke that might strike a chord in your heart if you are as forgetful as I am haha..Have a lovely evening!

The Proposal

He was a widower and she a widow. They had known each other for a number of years being high school classmates and having attended class reunions in the last 20 years without fail.

This 50th anniversary of their class, the widower and the widow made a foursome with two other singles.

They had a wonderful evening, their spirits high. The widower throwing admiring glances across the table. The widow smiling coyly back at him.

Finally, he picked up courage to ask her, "Will you marry me?"

After about six seconds of careful consideration, she answered, "Yes ... yes I will!"

The evening ended on a happy note for the widower. But the next morning he was troubled.

Did she say "Yes" or did she say "No?" He couldn't remember. Try as he would, he just could not recall. He went over the conversation of the previous evening, but his mind was blank.

He remembered asking the question but for the life of him could not recall her response. With fear and trepidation he picked up the phone and called her.

First, he explained that he couldn't remember as well as he used to. Then he reviewed the past evening. As he gained a little more courage he then inquired of her. "When I asked if you would marry me, did you say "Yes" or did you say "No?"

"Why you silly man I said, 'Yes. Yes I will.' And I meant it with all my heart."

The widower was delighted. He felt his heart skip a beat.

Then she continued. "And I am so glad you called because I couldn't remember who asked me!"

Stop Genocide on Myanmar’s Muslims !!!

Copied from Stop Genocide on Burma's Muslim!!! by Soe Myat

Daungkhit Burma said: Genocide
I replied: Yes it is already reached the time. Just read the 8 stages of Genocide. Even calling Kalas Gengalis Migrants and writing to kill or deport them is in the 2-3 stages of Genocide.

The 8 Stages of Genocide

By Gregory H. Stanton, President, Genocide Watch
Classification Symbolization Dehumanization Organization Polarization Preparation Extermination Denial

Genocide is a process that develops in eight stages that are predictable but not inexorable. At each stage, preventive measures can stop it. The process is not linear.  Logically, later stages must be preceded by earlier stages.  But all stages continue to operate throughout the process.

1. CLASSIFICATION: All cultures have categories to distinguish people into "us and them" by ethnicity, race, religion, or nationality: German and Jew, Hutu and Tutsi. Bipolar societies that lack mixed categories, such as Rwanda and Burundi, are the most likely to have genocide. The main preventive measure at this early stage is to develop universalistic institutions that transcend ethnic or racial divisions, that actively promote tolerance and understanding, and that promote classifications that transcend the divisions. The Catholic church could have played this role in Rwanda, had it not been riven by the same ethnic cleavages as Rwandan society. Promotion of a common language in countries like Tanzania has also promoted transcendent national identity. This search for common ground is vital to early prevention of genocide.

2. SYMBOLIZATION: We give names or other symbols to the classifications. We name people "Jews" or "Gypsies", or distinguish them by colors or dress; and apply the symbols to members of groups. Classification and symbolization are universally human and do not necessarily result in genocide unless they lead to the next stage, dehumanization. When combined with hatred, symbols may be forced upon unwilling members of pariah groups: the yellow star for Jews under Nazi rule, the blue scarf for people from the Eastern Zone in Khmer Rouge Cambodia. To combat symbolization, hate symbols can be legally forbidden (swastikas) as can hate speech. Group marking like gang clothing or tribal scarring can be outlawed, as well. The problem is that legal limitations will fail if unsupported by popular cultural enforcement. Though Hutu and Tutsi were forbidden words in Burundi until the 1980's, code-words replaced them. If widely supported, however, denial of symbolization can be powerful, as it was in Bulgaria, where the government refused to supply enough yellow badges and at least eighty percent of Jews did not wear them, depriving the yellow star of its significance as a Nazi symbol for Jews.

3. DEHUMANIZATION: One group denies the humanity of the other group. Members of it are equated with animals, vermin, insects or diseases. Dehumanization overcomes the normal human revulsion against murder. At this stage, hate propaganda in print and on hate radios is used to vilify the victim group. In combating this dehumanization, incitement to genocide should not be confused with protected speech. Genocidal societies lack constitutional protection for countervailing speech, and should be treated differently than democracies. Local and international leaders should condemn the use of hate speech and make it culturally unacceptable. Leaders who incite genocide should be banned from international travel and have their foreign finances frozen. Hate radio stations should be shut down, and hate propaganda banned. Hate crimes and atrocities should be promptly punished.

4. ORGANIZATION: Genocide is always organized, usually by the state, often using militias to provide deniability of state responsibility (the Janjaweed in Darfur.) Sometimes organization is informal (Hindu mobs led by local RSS militants) or decentralized (terrorist groups.) Special army units or militias are often trained and armed. Plans are made for genocidal killings. To combat this stage, membership in these militias should be outlawed. Their leaders should be denied visas for foreign travel. The U.N. should impose arms embargoes on governments and citizens of countries involved in genocidal massacres, and create commissions to investigate violations, as was done in post-genocide Rwanda.

5. POLARIZATION: Extremists drive the groups apart. Hate groups broadcast polarizing propaganda. Laws may forbid intermarriage or social interaction. Extremist terrorism targets moderates, intimidating and silencing the center. Moderates from the perpetrators' own group are most able to stop genocide, so are the first to be arrested and killed. Prevention may mean security protection for moderate leaders or assistance to human rights groups. Assets of extremists may be seized, and visas for international travel denied to them. Coups d'état by extremists should be opposed by international sanctions.

6. PREPARATION: Victims are identified and separated out because of their ethnic or religious identity. Death lists are drawn up. Members of victim groups are forced to wear identifying symbols. Their property is expropriated. They are often segregated into ghettoes, deported into concentration camps, or confined to a famine-struck region and starved. At this stage, a Genocide Emergency must be declared. If the political will of the great powers, regional alliances, or the U.N. Security Council can be mobilized, armed international intervention should be prepared, or heavy assistance provided to the victim group to prepare for its self-defense. Otherwise, at least humanitarian assistance should be organized by the U.N. and private relief groups for the inevitable tide of refugees to come.

7. EXTERMINATION begins, and quickly becomes the mass killing legally called "genocide." It is "extermination" to the killers because they do not believe their victims to be fully human. When it is sponsored by the state, the armed forces often work with militias to do the killing. Sometimes the genocide results in revenge killings by groups against each other, creating the downward whirlpool-like cycle of bilateral genocide (as in Burundi). At this stage, only rapid and overwhelming armed intervention can stop genocide. Real safe areas or refugee escape corridors should be established with heavily armed international protection. (An unsafe "safe" area is worse than none at all.) The U.N. Standing High Readiness Brigade, EU Rapid Response Force, or regional forces — should be authorized to act by the U.N. Security Council if the genocide is small. For larger interventions, a multilateral force authorized by the U.N. should intervene. If the U.N. is paralyzed, regional alliances must act. It is time to recognize that the international responsibility to protect transcends the narrow interests of individual nation states. If strong nations will not provide troops to intervene directly, they should provide the airlift, equipment, and financial means necessary for regional states to intervene.

8. DENIAL is the eighth stage that always follows a genocide. It is among the surest indicators of further genocidal massacres. The perpetrators of genocide dig up the mass graves, burn the bodies, try to cover up the evidence and intimidate the witnesses. They deny that they committed any crimes, and often blame what happened on the victims. They block investigations of the crimes, and continue to govern until driven from power by force, when they flee into exile. There they remain with impunity, like Pol Pot or Idi Amin, unless they are captured and a tribunal is established to try them. The response to denial is punishment by an international tribunal or national courts. There the evidence can be heard, and the perpetrators punished. Tribunals like the Yugoslav or Rwanda Tribunals, or an international tribunal to try the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, or an International Criminal Court may not deter the worst genocidal killers. But with the political will to arrest and prosecute them, some may be brought to justice.

Negeri Pakatan Rakyat, Kedah: Pencapaian Cemerlang Dalam 3 Tahun

Posted: 04 Jun 2012 05:27 AM PDT

Dalam pentadbiran tiada 'hidden cost' ataupun 'under table'.

‘Hibiscus Revolution’ on our shores?

Posted: 04 Jun 2012 02:06 AM PDT

IN THE past, the most lasting impact of a foreign revolution that captured the imagination of the Muslim world, Malaysia included, was the 1979 Iranian revolution.

Muslim movements everywhere were inspired by Khomeini's promises. Religious conservatism marked the era — the zeitgiest of the time.

However, the inspiration quickly turned sour as the revolution faced a democracy deficit and turned against many of its champions — including Ayatollahs who were imprisoned for their relative liberal beliefs.

How markedly different was the Arab Spring of recent times. Their demand for greater freedom and civil liberties — made not from those educated and belonging to the West, but local Arabs, North Africans and Middle Easterners alike — coming together in overthrowing old corrupt despots.

Just a year after the Arab uprising, the Egyptians successfully elected members of its new legislative assembly, and the Parliament dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) has assured the world that the post-revolution Egypt would be guided by the principles of "truth, justice and equality".

Such pronouncements laid to rest the apprehension and fear stemming from the alarmist international community of a possible strict implementation of sharia laws by the Brothers. There was no question of alienating the Christian minority.

FJP founding secretary-general Saad Al-Katatny, who is now the Speaker of the People's Assembly, promised that eradicating corruption and rebuilding Egypt's social, economic and political infrastructures would be the assembly's priority.

The Brotherhood's inclusive message was not as a result of the electoral outcome; even before the start of the election process, Saad, realising the diversity of views in the revolution, declared that no one party would be able to work alone to rebuild Egypt.

FJP, which controls 47 per cent of the assembly's seats, has since been busy forming a national alliance with smaller parties, and has dismissed the possibility of working with the ultra conservative al-Nour, who won 25 per cent seats.

It has not been easy for the Brothers to change its priorities after decades of fighting in the name of Islam.

Perhaps FJP could have won more votes and maybe al-Nour would not have gained so many seats in the People's Assembly if the Brotherhood — a name synonymous with political Islam — had not put its nation building aspirations momentarily ahead of its sharia ambitions.

FJP leaders and the Brothers were accused of abandoning their original struggle; during campaigning al-Nour leaders described FJP as no different from other Egyptian secular parties.

For years from now, expect al-Nour leaders to continue to provoke FJP on Islamic issues and to distract the Brothers from its main objective of rebuilding a new Egypt. However, it is this ideological tension that will create a constructive, dynamic and competitive culture in shaping Egypt's political landscape for years to come.

And with the life imprisonment of former president Hosni Mubarak and upcoming presidential election run-off between none other than the Brotherhood's candidate and former regime's shortlived premier, the closing of the old authoritarian period and the dawn of a new democratic era may now begin.

Here in Malaysia, the torch bearer of political Islam, PAS — an important partner in Pakatan Rakyat — has undergone similar changes in its political agenda. Before the general election in 2008, PAS campaigned with a promise of a "Caring State" or Negara Berkebajikan.

The unprecedented outcome of the election later made PAS together with Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) and DAP form a post-election coalition to collectively govern Selangor, Kelantan, Kedah, Penang and Perak.

Pakatan Rakyat was formalised a month after the general election and soon a Common Policy Framework was launched followed by the Orange Book that outlines the coalition's plans for the federal government.

PAS's roles in the coalition governments and Pakatan's common policy have opened the party to attacks from its rivals. Despite repeated explanations by PAS leaders that its partnership with PKR and DAP is still Islamic in nature, conservative groups have been accusing PAS of abandoning its founding principles for votes.

PAS was questioned why it has not introduced the Hudud law in states where it governs through the coalition. Attempts were made in public and in private by right-wing leaders for PAS to quit Pakatan and join its rival for the sake of "Muslim and Malay unity".

PAS leaders, however, have continued to remain loyal to our common policy — which is a result of months of negotiations among the three parties — and PAS has even cleansed its party of elements that oppose the spirit of consultation in Pakatan.

PAS leaders like all of us in PKR and DAP understand the expectations of the people of Malaysia go beyond the ideology of the individual parties.

And therein lies the hope for a Hibiscus Spring in Malaysia; one that is predicated upon putting the practical needs of Malaysians first. This indeed is the middle way forward for a better Malaysia. For none of the individual parties can succeed on their own.

The Other Side of 'Mills and Boon'

Posted: 04 Jun 2012 02:00 AM PDT

Back in the early 1970's, each weekend, an Indian gentleman would cycle around my neighbourhood peddling books for rent. I spent a tidy sum each week because I would rent at least 15 books from him, paying 20cents to 80cents for each book. For instance, a Mills and Boon novel cost 2RM and when I returned it the following week, I would get back RM1.80 which could be used to contra new rentals. Apart from the usual best sellers, I must have read thousands of Mills and Boons novels during those days. His supply of books was usually insufficient to meet my insatiable need to read and if he did not turn up by Saturday afternoon, I would cycle to Macalister Road and get my reading 'fix' for the week. If only I had been as diligent in studying, perhaps I would be a famous academician or lawyer now but then again, who knows? Anyway, here's an interesting article from The Daily Telegraph on how Mills and Boon 'cause marital breakdown'.

According to Anita Singh of The Telegraph:

With their chiselled menfolk and swooning heroines, Mills & Boon novels are a guilty pleasure.

They are also a cause of marital breakdown, adulterous affairs and unwanted pregnancies, according to a warning published by the British Medical Journal.

Far from being a slice of innocent escapism for millions of female readers, romantic novels are a danger to relationships and sexual health. That is the verdict of an article in the Journal of Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care, which said women struggle to distinguish between romantic fiction and real life.

Susan Quilliam, a relationship psychologist and author of the article, said that a "huge number" of problems dealt with in family planning clinics have their roots in romance novels.

"What we see in our consulting rooms is more likely to be informed by Mills & Boon than by the Family Planning Association," she said, claiming that the values of romantic fiction "run totally counter to the [messages] we try to promote".

"We warn of the stresses of pregnancy and child-rearing, and we discourage relentless baby-making as proof of a relationship's strength. Above all, we teach that sex may be wonderful and relationships loving, but neither are ever perfect and idealising them is the short way to heartbreak. But are our lessons falling on deaf ears when compared to the values of the Regency heroine gazing adoringly across the Assembly Rooms to catch a glimpse of her man?

MalaysiaKini - Pakatan Rakyat's propaganda arm

Posted: 04 Jun 2012 01:54 AM PDT

It's about time that Malaysiakini stops pretending to be part of the media and admit that it is a propaganda machine for Pakatan Rakyat. Definitely not the free media as it claims to be.

Anyone who has been into the portal the last few years knows that Malaysiakini has actively campaigned for Pakatan. That is okay actually. It's their right to take sides. Just don't claim to be free and fair, and condemn the mainstream media as biased, one sided and controlled.

The news there is not only 90% about Pakatan, the slant and the spin is ridiculously anti BN. In fact, its CEP Pramesh Chandra openly tweets against the BN.

Negative news about Pakatan does not see light of day but negative news about Najib and Umno and BN, in that order, are given big play up.

So if you are a reader of Malaysiakini, you will think that 80% of Malaysians support Bersih, Ambiga is a saint sent down to save Malaysia from unfair and unfree elections, Najib and his wife are murderers, everyone in Umno is stupid and corrupt, and Anwar Ibrahim is God's gift to mankind and Nurul Izzah should be PM. And Malaysiakini is the only unbiased media in the country.

Everyone hates Utusan Malaysia but the truth is that Malaysiakini is Pakatan's version of Utusan. It is unshamedly pro Pakatan, it has no qualms about twisting stories about the BN and when they are wrong, they quickly pull out the story and behave like it never existed. Can you blame the Umno people if they hate Malaysiakini the way the Chinese hate Utusan?

Ten Myanmar Muslims were killed by Rakhine people in Northern Myanmar Yesterday

Posted: 04 Jun 2012 01:25 AM PDT

MMSY: Ten Myanmar Muslims were killed by Rakhine people in Northern Myanmar Yesterday

Ethnic Arakan, also known as Rakhine, killed ten Myanmar Muslims in barbaric and in-human manner yesterday in a sectarian attack. While a group of Myanmar Muslims were traveling back to Yangon from Arakan State on a bus, at Taung-kout, a small town of 300 residents, local ethnic Arakan had stopped the bus forcibly and looked bloodthirstily for Muslims. The eight travelers were dragged from the bus and beaten up till the end of their lives. The angry mob also assumed that the motorist is a Muslim and did not spare him.

"At immigration check point, the vehicle has been stopped. The mob of 300 with motorbikes holding rods and knives blocked up and yelling that "Get off and face your end of life, if there any Kalas (derogatory term used by Buddhists against Myanmar Muslim)".  A man responsible from the bus got off and had tried to persuade while the bus door was closed. He was pushed harshly by the mob and they got in the bus. When they found some Muslims, shouted that "Here is the Kalas, here they are" and started beating with rod. And then they dragged the victims and killed them in a very short period.", the express owner explained while contacted by the phone.

This attack has a relatively long background history which is solely related to Ethnic Rakhine who has been launching very strange racist campaigns against ethnic Rohingyas who were allegedly and apparently called 'illegal' immigrants or Bangali.

Intense campaign against Myanmar Muslims, derogatorily known as "Kalas", started in November last year on social media such as Facebook. Thousands of Buddhists (both Rakhine and non-Rakhine) have been spreading hate messages in very blasphemous language. Although their target is seemingly the Rohingyas, they end up direct attacking Myanmar Muslims and Islamic norms.

Participants in this campaign are not only those from Burma locals but also so-called pro-democracy and human rights activists residing under the cover of asylum in US, Canada, Europe, Australia and Thai.

As there is government ignorance for this vulnerable condition, Ethnic Rakhine politicians are openly and violently against ethnic Rohingya. Therefore, the so-called blind Buddhist patriots have faith in whatever they spread and are forwarding the hate information.

Almost every day in the past several months, tons of millions of hate messages were being spread on Facebook and forwarding mails. Redistribution become the duty towards every Buddhists too.

Minority Myanmar Muslims have also been trying to halt the hate campaign by approaching mainstream Burmese media. But they completely and intentionally ignore the cry for help. For instance, there is a vivid scene that the leading media was totally silent on the demolishing of two mosques and the act-of-like terrorists attack to Muslim homes in Northern and Central Burma in April this year.

The campaign grows and hate messages continue to spread. The racists start speaking of eradicating all Muslims from Burma. Some even blame dictator Than Shwe for not killing all Muslims in the country like what the Nazi did.

An important event leading to this sectarian attack was a rape-murder of a 26 year old woman by three local criminals allegedly the Muslims on May 29 – four days before this attack.

Knowing that anti-Muslim sentiment is growing (not just Anti-Rohingya), ethnic Arakan news agency called Narinjara blew the whistle by racial profiling. It associated the criminals with Islamic religion, stirring local people's anger. The Irrawaddy, one of the most well known opposition media, reported in a similarly way.

As the attack broke out, some campaigners posted on Facebook, rewarding an offer of $300 US to those who can go for sex assault against Muslim women, and $500 US to those who can kill.

Commenting on the sectarian attack on Radio Australia, two local men said the attack was intended to look for May 29 rapists. This proved to be inaccurate as all three accused have reportedly been arrested according to their own credible media.

Ethnic Arakan have threatened Muslims in other part of the country of similar attacks.

Meanwhile, majority of the Burmese citizens fear that the Burmese government facing political deadlock due to various protests (labor, farmer, electricity) are diverting political attention by creating religious riots.

Mereka diwakili Tetuan Aziz & Co.

Hakim Mahkamah Sesyen, Tuan Mohammad Khalid Haji Ab.

Polis berkenaan pula memakai pakai seperti orang awam.. apakah haknya menembak sesuka hati.

It's All the Money I Have...

No one has been able to verify the veracity of the following story, not even Snopes. Nonetheless, I am posting it with the hope that it can help us to continue to believe in miracles. After all, faith, love and hope - these cost nothing but mean the world to those in need. Take care. Do leave a comment to share your views. Thanks!

A little girl went to her bedroom and pulled a glass jelly jar from its hiding place in the closet.

She poured the change out on the floor and counted it carefully. Three times, even.. The total had to be exactly perfect.. No chance here for mistakes.

Carefully placing the coins back in the jar and twisting on the cap, she slipped out the back door and made her way 6 blocks to Rexall's Drug Store with the big red Indian Chief sign above the door.

She waited patiently for the pharmacist to give her some attention, but he was too busy at this moment. Tess twisted her feet to make a scuffing noise.

Nothing.

She cleared her throat with the most disgusting sound she could muster. No good. Finally she took a quarter from her jar and banged it on the glass counter. That did it!

'And what do you want?' the pharmacist asked in an annoyed tone of voice.. I'm talking to my brother from Chicago whom I haven't seen in ages,' he said without waiting for a reply to his question.

'Well, I want to talk to you about my brother,' Tess answered back in the same annoyed tone. 'He's really, really sick....and I want to buy a miracle.'

'I beg your pardon?' said the pharmacist.

'His name is Andrew and he has something bad growing inside his head and my Daddy says only a miracle can save him now. So how much does a miracle cost?'

'We don't sell miracles here, little girl.I'm sorry but I can't help you,' the pharmacist said, softening a little.

'Listen, I have the money to pay for it. If it isn't enough, I will get the rest. Just tell me how much it costs.'

The pharmacist's brother was a well dressed man. He stooped down and asked the little girl, 'What kind of a miracle does your brother need?'

' I don't know,' Tess replied with her eyes welling up. I just know he's really sick and Mommy says he needs an operation. But my Daddy can't pay for it, so I want to use my money..'

'How much do you have?' asked the man from Chicago .

'One dollar and eleven cents,' Tess answered barely audible.

'And it's all the money
I have, but I can get some more if I need to.'

'Well, what a coincidence,' smiled the man. 'A dollar and eleven cents---the exact price of a
miracle for little brothers.'

He took her money in one hand and with the other hand he grasped her mitten and said 'Take me to where you live. I want to see your brother and meet your parents. Let's see if I have the miracle you need.'

That well-dressed man was Dr. Carlton Armstrong, a surgeon, specializing in neuro-surgery. The operation was completed free of charge and it wasn't long until Andrew was home again and doing well.

Mom and Dad were happily talking about the chain of events that had led them to this place.

'That surgery,' her Mom whispered. 'was a real miracle. I wonder how much it would have cost?'

Tess smiled. She knew exactly how much a miracle cost....one dollar and eleven cents...plus the faith of a little child.

In our lives, we never know how many miracles we will need.

A miracle is not the suspension of natural law, but the operation of a higher law.

I know you'll keep the ball moving!

Here it goes. Throw it back to someone who means something to you!

A ball is a circle, no beginning, no end. It keeps us together like our Circle of Friends. But the treasure inside for you to see is the treasure of friendship you've granted to me.

Today I pass the friendship ball to you.

Pass it on to someone who is a friend to you.
