[MESTI BACA] TERAS: Jalan Ke Putrajaya Tidak Mustahil, Sekaligus Jawab Tuduhan Muhyiddin

Posted: 03 Jun 2012 10:57 AM PDT

Mubarak cursed for life but luckily, no death penalty

2 JUN, 2012, 02.25PM IST, AFP

CAIRO: An Egyptian court sentenced former president Hosni Mubarak to life in prison on Saturday after convicting him of involvement in the murder of protesters during the uprising that ousted him last year.

Also given a life term for the killings was Mubarak's former interior minister Habib al-Adly, while six former police commanders were acquitted.

Meanwhile, corruption charges against Mubarak's sons, Alaa and Gamal, were dropped.

Earlier, Mubarak arrived by helicopter at a court to face sentencing over his alleged involvement in the killing of demonstrators.

Mubarak, wearing dark sunglasses, was then transported by ambulance to the courthouse on the outskirts of Cairo, where he was taken inside on a stretcher.

Mubarak, the only autocrat toppled in the Arab Spring to be put in the dock, former interior minister Habib al-Adly and six others could face the gallows if convicted of ordering the deaths of some of the estimated 850 people killed.

Chief Judge Ahmed Rifaat is expected not only to issue a verdict but also pass sentence on those who are convicted.

Mubarak, his sons Alaa and Gamal and business associate Hussein Salem, who fled to Spain, are also on trial over an alleged bribe.

His two sons had already arrived at the courthouse earlier on Saturday, according to the official MENA news agency.

Highly anticipated State Instigated Massacre of Muslims in Myanmar started today.

This Anti-Muslim riots and Massacre started because WORD MUSLIM LEADERS ignored our cry for help. We forseen that this atrocities is coming and reported to various Muslim NGOs, Aljazeera, US State Department and some famous editors and journalists around the world. But they all conveniently ignored our cry for help because they all are greedy with their own business interest that could be exploited from Myanmar.

Bama Buddhist National Tat Ma Taw is going to be successful in derailing the Democratization Process. CONGRATULATIONS Myanmar Radicals for successfully trying to pull back Bama into STONE AGE. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi led NLD is also STUPIDLY danced to the tunes of the radicals.

IF MYANMAR GOVERNMENT is sincere, stop the distribution of HATE SPEECHES, books, pamphlets and all the anti-Muslim and anti-Rohingya Campaigns.

And ARREST THIS PHONE OWNER IMMEDIATELY: Named, Ko Lynn Khine who announced that he wishes to award the murders who killed 10 Muslims today at Taunggoke town. His phone number is 66835425682 and declared that he would answer anytime.

THAT CRIMINAL Ko Lynn Khine WROTE EARLIER: "Anyone who could rape Muslim Women from Arakan would be rewarded with Kyat 300,000.00 and if could kill an INDIAN (Kala or Muslim) would be rewarded with Kyat 500,000.00.

Now look at the Massacre news and riots:

At 3.00 PM local time today (03.06.12) the trans-state bus named Yoma Thissa which travel from Thandwe to Yangon was stopped by Buddhist Rakhines at Taunggoke town. Ten Muslims travelling on the bus were pulled down by the mob and killed all of them.

Taunggoke police were not there as they were sent to Kyauk Pyu because of the threatened violence against Muslims. One businessman from Taunggoke informed the Military Unit there but the Military Commander just ignored and told him off that Civil Administration is not their concern.

What Email Addresses May Reveal

Posted: 03 Jun 2012 06:30 AM PDT

Last year, Orlando Parfitt of Yahoo News wrote an interesting article on What your email address says about you. According to that article:

Along with your pin number, an email address is the collection of numbers and letters you'll type more than anything else in your life. If you've ever used the Internet, chances are you'll have one, and unlike your card details, it's something you choose yourself.

Indeed, perhaps you didn't realise when you first typed out your email address that what you pick as a prefix could provide a fascinating psychological insight into your personality. We spoke to Graham Jones, an award-winning Internet psychologist, to find out what different kinds of email addresses say about their owners.

First name first - i.e. 'john.smith@yahoo.co.uk'

This suggests a business-like approach - someone who wants a portable email to take anywhere. These people realise that they can have a permanent email address no matter where they work or what they do.

Surname first - i.e. 'smith.john@yahoo.co.uk'

Suggests the person went to public school or comes from a very formal background. They might not connect too well with others. Plus they will probably get emails addressed to their surname – like 'Dear Smith' - which will annoy them!

Comedy name or a pun - i.e. 'SmilesBetter@yahoo.co.uk'

This provides a signal that the individual is relaxed and up for a laugh. They are probably secure and confident people, but don't realise the impact of the name on their career or how they are perceived in the workplace.

Cutesy - i.e. 'fluffybunny@yahoo.co.uk'

The effect is similar to a 'comedy' prefix, only perhaps exaggerated. To some, "fluffybunny" or something similar is a term of endearment, but to others it implies some kind of sexual overtone or that the individual is childish. If the prefix is inappropriate this could be an indication of self-centredness and lack of thought about the recipient.

Self-aggrandising - i.e. 'foxylady@yahoo.co.uk'

This could suggest the individual is trying to confirm their self-identity and show the world who they really are. Possibly these people have insecurities.

3 sticks of Bunga Kantan (ginger flower - used in our famous Asam Laksa)
Boil it with 4.5L water until left with 3L water. Drink it continueously for 3 days.

Good luck! Please let me know if it works on you.

Kerana Terlalu Banyak Memfitnah, Akhirnya Utusan Malukan Khalil Yaakob

Posted: 03 Jun 2012 08:12 AM PDT

Hukum Tuhan hendak dilawannya.

Seorang MB Yang Bermentaliti Lembu!

Posted: 03 Jun 2012 04:25 AM PDT

‘Bangunlah Nak, Jangan Tinggalkan Ayah’

Posted: 03 Jun 2012 01:15 AM PDT

"Mangsa berkemungkinan gagal memotong lalu memasuki laluan bertentangan sebelum dirempuh sebuah kereta jenis Perodua Kelisa.

No compromise in security matters!

Posted: 02 Jun 2012 08:45 PM PDT

That's the way to go, Mr Prime Minister!

No compromise and no discount on national security. This is our country and we are fully responsible in putting the house to order. We may not be popular among the minority but the masses will surely want you and your generals to continue developing the nation and prospering the people.

No foreign powers have any rights to interfere in our security matters and the set of laws introduced. They may as well take care of their domestic problems first before commenting on others. As much as we have been staying away from making remarks about their domestic problem, we also want them to stay clear of ours.

We have been through some bad political and racial episodes. The May 13 1969 have taught us, Malaysians, to be more resilient and more tolerant. As to whether we are Malays, Chinese, Indians or others, Malaysia is and will remain ours to manage. If we choose to be racist, we will in the end have to pay a heavy price for our wrongdoing and bad intention.

Although the threat of communism is no longer part of our worries, radical and extremist politics are equal to it. Those propagating any form of extremism are equal to other forms of subversive, and that calls for a tough and strict counter-measure to put it off.

We also cannot afford another Memali and Sauk incidents where religious fanatics tried to run down the country by deviations and war. We just cannot tolerate another fanatism in our effort to boost the economy and strengthening inter-racial and inter-religious understanding among the people.

We need moderate leaders, those who are able to see and weigh various sentiments in a unique country like ours. We need politics of the moderates and not any form of politics of extremism that can plunge the whole nation into chaos and disorder.

I believe most Malaysians are peace-lovers and will reject such politics.

The Internal Security Act (ISA) has proven very effective in putting the house in order. Although it is no longer in practice, some elements of it need to be retained.

Whether the Opposition or their foreign agents like it or not, we need an effective set of laws to weed out elements of subversive from our compound. Some governments that lambasted our laws are actually the ones imposing the most draconian laws themselves.

I do not wish to write more. As the leader, you know what is best for the country and the people.

And as a rakyat, I have my own obligation to fulfill.

[VIDEO] Perhimpunan PAS Aman Jika Tiada Provokasi Pihak Tertentu -updated

Posted: 02 Jun 2012 10:50 PM PDT

-HD

PAS leads the way to peaceful rally

ALOR SETAR: The massive crowd which gathered at the PAS "hijau" (green) rally here last night demonstrates that Malaysians can gather peacefully in large numbers if they are not provoked by certain quarters, says a party leader.

News reports indicated anywhere between 50,000 and 150,000 descended onto the tiny capital of the "Rice Bowl State" to attend the mammoth "hijau" rally, which is believed to be the last major party gathering ahead of the impending general election.

The crowd invasion sparked angry responses from Barisan Nasional, with Kedah Gerakan Youth head Tan Keng Liang posting several tweets on his micro-blogging account to complain about the huge traffic congestion, made worst since it was the school holidays.

The congestion stretched up to the Penang Bridge and several of PAS supporters on the island cancelled their trip to the rally at the Darul Aman Stadium here.

Former PAS secretary-general Kamaruddin Jaafar said the large crowd, who assembled peacefully, shows that Malaysians can enjoy huge rallies without resorting to violence.

It also reflects PAS' style and organising ability to hold a large crowd together, he said.

In a veiled rebuttal of claims that Pakatan Rakyat had hijacked the Bersih 3.0 rally two months ago and caused it to turn violent, Kamaruddin said the hijau rally shows that PAS cherishes peaceful gatherings.

He also dismissed the allegation that the party's security division – Unit Amal – was involved in the alleged violent conduct during Bersih 3.0.

"Their role is to maintain crowd order and to ensure the safety of the people. What happened on that fateful day [April 28] was that some protesters could have been provoked.

"If it is proven that Unit Amal members were involved, it is likely to be only a handful. We are a disciplined party," he said.

Political tactic

Kamaruddin described the "hijau" programme and rally as a success and that it had met the party's objective in raising morale ahead of a most decisive election in the country's history.

Earlier, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang told the delegates at the state PAS complex in Kota Sarang Semut that the party must defend all of the seats it won in the last election.

This would hold the party in good stead to deal with the political impact after the electoral outcome of the next election, he said.

He also dismissed the proposed "muzakarah" (goodwill talks) between Umno and his party as just a political tactic used by the former.

Abdul Hadi said that Umno is mooting such a proposal because it wants to distract people from the fact that its support has eroded tremendously since 2004.

"What a better way to distract an enemy than with a peace offering?"

Abdul Hadi, however, agreed that PAS would continue to hold dialogues with Islamic-based NGOs, but not with political parties.

He also remained steadfast over PAS commitment to Pakatan Rakyat, saying the informal alliance of three opposition parties have agreed in principle that their prime minister would be a Malay-Muslim.

Meanwhile, PAS Supporters Club Congress chairman Hu Phang Chaw disclosed that the movement would be allocated four state and one parliamentary seats to contest in the next election.

This clearly shows that PAS does advocate a multi-racial concept, Hu said.

A six-year-old boy told his father he wanted to marry the little girl across the street. The father, being modern and well-schooled in handling children, hid his smile behind his hand. "That's a serious step," he said. "Have you thought it out completely?" "Yes," his young son answered. "We can spend one week in my room and the next in hers. It's right across the street, so I can run home if I get scared of the dark."

"How about transportation?" the father asked.

"I have my wagon, and we both have our tricycles," the little boy answered. The boy had an answer to every question the father raised.

Finally, in exasperation, his dad asked, "What about babies? When you're married, you're liable to have babies, you know."

"We've thought about that, too," the little boy replied.

"We're not going to have babies. Every time she lays an egg, I'm going to step on it!"

Have a nice day everyone!

Hosni Mubarak dipenjara seumur hidup

INTIPATI KEPUTUSAN MAHKAMAH

- Ahli perniagaan Hussein Salem: Tidak bersalah tuduhan rasuah

Ulasan GB

A Moment of Joy

Posted: 02 Jun 2012 03:25 PM PDT

Twenty years ago, I drove a cab for a living. It was a cowboy's life, a life for someone who wanted no boss. What I didn't realize was that it was also a ministry. Because I drove the night shift, my cab became a moving confessional.

Passengers climbed in, sat behind me in total anonymity, and told me about their lives. I encountered people whose lives amazed me, ennobled me, made me laugh and weep. But none touched me more than a woman I picked up late one August night.

I responded to a call from a small brick fourplex in a quiet part of town. I assumed I was being sent to pick up some partyers, or someone who had just had a fight with a lover, or a worker heading to an early shift at some factory in the industrial part of town.

When I arrived at 2:30 a.m., the building was dark except for a single light in a ground floor window. Under these circumstances, many drivers would just honk once or twice, wait a minute, then drive away. But I had seen too many poor people who depended on taxis as their only means of transportation.

Unless a situation smelled of danger, I always went to the door. This passenger might be someone who needed my assistance, I reasoned to myself. So I walked to the door and knocked.

"Just a minute," answered a frail, elderly voice.

I could hear something being dragged across the floor. After a long pause, the door opened. A small woman in her 80s stood before me. She was wearing a print dress and a pillbox hat with a veil pinned on it, like somebody out of a 1940's movie.

By her side was a small nylon suitcase. The apartment looked as if no one had lived in it for years. All the furniture was covered with sheets. There were no clocks on the walls, no knick- knacks or utensils on the counters. In the corner was a cardboard box filled with photos and glassware.

"Would you carry my bag out to the car?" she said.

I took the suitcase to the cab, then returned to assist the woman. She took my arm and we walked slowly toward the curb. She kept thanking me for my kindness.

"It's nothing," I told her. "I just try to treat my passengers the way I would want my mother treated."

"Oh, you're such a good boy," she said.

When we got in the cab, she gave me an address, then asked, "Could you drive through downtown?"

"It's not the shortest way," I answered quickly.

"Oh, I don't mind," she said. "I'm in no hurry. I'm on my way to a hospice".

I looked in the rearview mirror. Her eyes were glistening.

"I don't have any family left," she continued. "The doctor says I don't have very long."

I quietly reached over and shut off the meter. "What route would you like me to take?" I asked.

For the next two hours, we drove through the city. She showed me the building where she had once worked as an elevator operator. We drove through the neighborhood where she and her husband had lived when they were newlyweds.

She had me pull up in front of a furniture warehouse that had once been a ballroom where she had gone dancing as a girl. Sometimes she'd ask me to slow in front of a particular building or corner and would sit staring into the darkness, saying nothing.

As the first hint of sun was creasing the horizon, she suddenly said, I'm tired. Let's go now."

We drove in silence to the address she had given me. It was a low building, like a small convalescent home, with a driveway that passed under a portico. Two orderlies came out to the cab as soon as we pulled up.

They were attentive, watching her every move. They must have been expecting her. I opened the trunk and took the small suitcase to the door. The woman was already seated in a wheelchair.

"How much do I owe you?" she asked, reaching into her purse.

"Nothing," I said.

"You have to make a living," she answered.

"There are other passengers," I responded.

Almost without thinking, I bent and gave her a hug. She held onto me tightly.

"You gave an old woman a little moment of joy," she said. "Thank you, Dear."

I squeezed her hand, then walked into the dim morning light. Behind me, a door shut. It was the sound of the closing of a life.

I didn't pick up any more passengers that shift. I drove aimlessly, lost in thought. For the rest of that day, I could hardly talk. What if that woman had gotten an angry driver, or one who was impatient to end his shift? What if I had refused to take the run, or had honked once, then driven away?

On a quick review, I don't think that I have done very many more important things in my life. We're conditioned to think that our lives revolve around great moments.

But great moments often catch us unaware - beautifully wrapped in what others may consider small ones.
