Mahathir Kini Takut Nasib Mubarak Bakal Menimpanya!

Takut dipenjara, Mahathir dibayangi Hosni Mubarak – Anwar

AMPANG 27 Jun: Ketua Pembangkang, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim berkata, mantan Perdana Menteri, Tun Mahathir Mohamad masih dibayangi nasib yang menimpa kawan baiknya, bekas Presiden Mesir, Hosni Mubarak kerana takut berdepan kejatuhan BN dalam pilihan raya umum akan datang.

Beliau mengulas dakwaan Mahathir kononnya Pembangkang berminat untuk menjatuhkan kerajaan ala 'Arab Spring'.

Menurut Anwar, Mahathir begitu risau jika hukuman penjara seumur hidup ke atas Mubarak turut dirasainya.

"Kita tengok Dr Mahathir masih lagi mewakili pandangan mereka. Dia sebenarnya masih merasai kehilangan Hosni Mubarak.

Requesting USA to persuade UN to force the Myanmar Government to accept the EMERGENCY AID cum International Observers in Rakhine

Posted: 27 Jun 2012 07:04 AM PDT

We hereby request the world Superpower USA to persuade the United Nations to force the Myanmar Government to accept the EMERGENCY AID cum International Observers composing the UN, USA, EU, Australia, Japan, OIC and ASEAN members' representatives and various interested NGOs and AID organizations.

Although there are some minor face-lifts as if there are some changes of democratization, Present U Thein Sein's government never changed its treatment on Myanmar Muslims. It is the same as the previous successive Myanmar Military Dictator Governments' policy of anti-Muslim strategy.

According to the notorious divide and rule policy, at first they pretend as if they are attacking Rohingyas but later it morphs smoothly into all out war against all the Muslims in Myanmar.
All the Muslims in Rakhine, Myanmar Muslims, Bengali Muslims and Rohingyas are suffering now under the full blown ruthless attack of the different branches of U Thein Sein's Government.

They have no shelter, no water, no food nor extra clothing to change and now are suffering from various illnesses.

We are not allowed by the U Thein Sein's government to send aid, comfort them, give food and drinking water or to give medical aid or anything.

Even UN and some limited NGOs are restricted in their activities and are not allowed to go freely to all the Muslim areas.

As the consequence of the recent communal riots, both sides are suffering. Authorities should punish the guilty instigators and perpetrators only. Why are the authorities committing the ETHNIC CLEANSING by expelling the Muslims from the towns? Is this selective persecution legal according the International legal standards?
Authorities are creating the Islam Free Zones!

All the Muslims are pulled out into the field outside the towns. No one could help them.
Their properties and belongings are looted under the eyes of security forces.

Their residential homes are bulldozed.

The masjids they are regularly praying are destroyed.
All the Rakhine towns are now becoming unofficial Islam Free areas.

They had successfully done those kinds of Islam Free zones recently in the Mainland Myanmar at Kyaukpadaung and in Taunggope.

U Thein Sein's Government took advantage of the present Rakhine problem and is now operating a limited war on Islam.

We hereby request the world Superpower USA to persuade the United Nations to force the Myanmar Government to accept the EMERGENCY AID cum International Observers composing the UN, USA, EU, Australia, Japan, OIC and ASEAN members' representatives and NGOs.

Response to the Minister of Defence’s Parliament Reply on Leaked Scorpene Secrets

MEDIA STATEMENT
27 June 2012
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Response to the Minister of Defence's Parliament Reply on Leaked Scorpene Secrets

On 26th of June 2012, Zahid Hamidi, Minister of Defence replied to my adjournment speech in Parliament regarding the leaking or sale of secret documents relating to the Scorpene submarines as stated by SUARAM in Bangkok, pertaining to the ongoing French judicial inquiry.

He stated that the government has no information about any documents being leaked, nor is the government interested to send representatives as observers should the judicial inquiry become a full court case in France.

However, his reply raises more questions than answers, and this demands immediate responses particularly with regards the following:

1) The Minister admitted that there was an 'investigation' on the matter of alleged secret defence documents leakage. So what was the investigation's scope? Was the Police and AG's Chambers involved to avoid conflict of interest when the Ministry of Defence is subject to the allegations?

2) Will the Minister also admit that the alleged 'official' documents in the French Court possession are not 'State Secrets', and are hence false documents? If this is indeed the case, when will the government issue a diplomatic note to protest the use of these false documents?

3) Will the Minister clarify if the Scorpene purchase is a Government-to-Government initiative or not? If so, why the need to use a private company such as Perimekar Sdn Bhd for 'support and coordinating services' instead of a government body where defence secrets will be protected? The Minister must also list what those services actually are.

4) Will the Minister also confirm that the Scorpene submarines have successfully conducted live fire and torpedo exercises to test the weapons system? And before Minister attempts to hide behind OSA for such confirmation, take note that 'live fire' exercises such as the exocet missiles from our naval ships and 'missile test' launches are public knowledge as part of proof of capability and military posturing? Why keep such a secret when billions are spent on Scorpene to demonstrate our defence capabilities for the whole world to know?

Posted: 27 Jun 2012 12:57 AM PDT

An Open Letter to Daw Aung San Suu Kyi

Posted: 26 Jun 2012 10:50 PM PDT

HomeSource: Letter from America: An Open Letter to Daw Suu Kyi of Burma By By Dr. Habib Siddiqui

Dear Daw Suu Kyi,

For more than a decade, as a concerned human rights activist, I have worked towards release of political prisoners like you and democratization of Burma (Myanmar).

It was good to see that the new regime had the far-sightedness to release you with so many others that were put behind the bars for no fault of theirs except that they demanded what's morally right and good for Burma. I am also glad that you along with 42 others of the NLD were able to participate in the April by-election and win. It was a great win for the people. A hearty congratulation to you and your party!

People's expectations are high with such positive developments inside Burma. They like to believe that with your voice heard inside the lower house of the parliament their decades-old grievances would now be aired and you would do your utmost to bring about equality, fairness and justice so that no one would be treated unfairly in new Burma on the ground of his or her ethnic or religious backgrounds. For years, the military government had exploited intolerance of the 'other' people to further divide and rule the country. As you may, therefore, expect, no country in the world is as much poisoned by the evils of racism and bigotry as Burma is. And that has to change.

The latest pogrom against the Rohingyas of Burma once again underscores the fault line that exists along race, ethnicity and religion. I am simply shocked to observe how the murder of a Rakhine woman by an outcast could trigger race- and religious riots in which ten innocent pious Muslims (from Rangoon and not Arakan) were mercilessly lynched by a mob of 300 hateful Rakhine extremists in Taungup, situated as the main gateway for travel to central Burma from the Arakan State. If such lone acts of violence by criminal elements within a society were to lay the very foundation and justification for lynching of an entire community, there won't be any human being left alive on earth. And yet, that simple wisdom seemed to have missed the Rakhine leadership who stoked hatred of the Rohingya.

One would have expected that with you leading the opposition camp inside the Parliament, and the new Thein Sein government promising change, Burma is serious about joining the civilized world, and has said sayonara (good-bye) to her hideous past – her centuries of intolerance, xenophobia, racism and bigotry of the 'other' people. But our expectations were too premature. We were wrong.

The local Rakhine leadership, the security forces – Hlun Htein and NASAKA jointly collaborated to trigger the latest extermination campaign against the Rohingyas of Burma. When they could have stopped the horrendous crime of the Rakhine mob on June 3, they chose not to intervene, and worse still, as part of a more sinister plan, they attacked and started shooting unarmed Rohingyas on their way to prayer services on Friday, June 8.

As the later evidences, e.g., capture of large caches of lethal weapons from Buddhist temples and sworn affidavits of Rakhine extremists on June 14, show the Rakhine fascist leadership had tried to exploit the event as its 'Reichstag Fire' moment to not only terrorize the Rohingya minorities so that they would have no choice but a forced exodus out of the Rakhine state to nearby Bangladesh or elsewhere but also to breakaway the Rakhine state from the rest of Burma. In the meantime, hundreds of Rohingya villages have been set on fire, affecting the precious lives and livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of the Rohingya — already recognized as the most persecuted community in our globe. Probably hundreds have also perished in this latest genocidal campaign.

I am simply appalled and horrified by the monstrosity of such naked aggression against a persecuted minority that has been robbed of their basic rights to citizenship. As rightly noted by Eric Schwartz, a deputy to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, last year during his visit of the refugee camps in Bangladesh, Rohingyas are the victims who are "guilty of nothing other than a desire to flee repression and create a better life for themselves."

Dear leader, the world looks up to you as a moral voice of conscience, and not as a chauvinist who is obsessed with the supremacy of the Bamar over other races that form the complex mosaic of Burma. I pray and hope that their perception is not ill-placed. It is good to hear last Saturday in your Nobel lecture, albeit 21 years late, that "the oppressed and the isolated in Burma were also a part of the world." Who is more oppressed in our world today than the Rohingyas of Burma? Why then your equivocation about the Rohingya issue? Just a day earlier when you were asked if Rohingyas should be granted Myanmar citizenship, you regrettably said, "We have to be very clear about what the laws of citizenship are and who are entitled to them." I pray not that you are okay with the highly discriminatory 1982 citizenship law that have wrongfully robbed the Rohingyas of that basic human rights.

It was your father, General Aung San, who assured full rights and privileges to Rohingya Muslims of Arakan by saying "I give (offer) you a blank cheque. We will live together and die together. Demand what you want. I will do my best to fulfill them. If native people are divided, it will be difficult to achieve independence for Burma." So, during your Nobel speech when you said that "My only concern is that I prove worthy of him," I would like to believe that you did not speak with a forked-tongue. You can prove yourself worthy of your father by demanding restitution of citizenship right of the Rohingyas and other racial/ethnic/religious groups.

Let me also remind you that the former first President of Burma Sao Shwe Theik stated, "Muslims of Arakan certainly belong to one of the indigenous races of Burma. If they do not belong to the indigenous races, we also cannot be taken as indigenous races."

Lest you forget the parliamentary government before General Ne Win's time listed 144 ethnic groups in Burma. It was Ne Win who put only 135 groups on a short list, which was then approved by his BSPP regime's constitution of 1974. The three Muslim groups – Rohingya (Muslim Arakanese), Panthay (Chinese Muslims), Bashu (Malay Muslims) – and six other ethnic groups were deleted from the short list.

The 1982 citizenship law violates several fundamental principles of international law. It offends the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and leaves Rohingyas exposed to no legal protection of their rights. The law has perpetuated the Rohingya citizenship crisis making them object of persecution and of discrimination which render them a very difficult life as stateless people in their native country, where they have absolute rights to be on an equal footing with all other citizens. Such persecution and discrimination are contrary to the purposes of the United Nations. The discriminatory practices against the Rohingyas make the Myanmar government guilty of non-compliance of each of the 30 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Burma, as an UN member state has an obligation to follow the UN resolutions.

Dear Daw Suu Kyi, leadership is about taking difficult decision even when it is unpopular. You cannot allow the voices of intolerance within your party and the country to define you and the future course of your country.

As I have noted time and again, there is nothing worse than racism, which, sadly, has permeated Burmese society since its very beginning; not only the racial supremacy complex which many Burmans (Bamars) are brought up with, but the racism of the Karen against the Burmans, the Burmans against the Shan, the Shan against the Wa, the Wa against the Shan, the Mon against the Burmans, the Rakhine against the Rohingyas, the Burmans against the Chinese, the Christians against the Buddhists, and everyone against the Muslims. The list goes on and on. In new Burma this vicious politics with racism must end once and for all time.

For decades, the ruling military junta had encouraged a blind racist nationalism, full of references to 'protecting the race', meaning that if Burmans do not oppress other nationalities then they will themselves be oppressed. It encouraged 'national reconsolidation', meaning assimilation, and promoted preventing 'disintegration of the Union', meaning that if the Army falls then some kind of ethnic chaos would ensue.

Thus, under the new regime while some windows of freedom have opened up, the doors to racism and violence are still wide open. There is little or no change in the ethnic nationality areas, especially in Rakhine, Shan, Karen and Kachin areas. Severe fighting is ongoing between the Burmese army and ethnic armed groups. This year alone, there have been at least 750 incidents of human rights abuses committed by the Burmese troops against ethnic minority civilians. There are also many prisoners of conscience behind the bar.

As you currently go through a transition, you ought to know that democracy alone will not be enough to prevent the people tearing each other apart, particularly if it is a unitary, non-federal democracy. The first and biggest step in bringing about an end to the problem of racism is to admit that it exists and to recognize its scale. The latest extinction campaign against the Rohingya has once again shown the depth of Rakhine racism.

Dear leader, yours have to be a strong voice that condemns intolerance unequivocally. If you and other political leaders fail to do so, Burma will remain a country that is at war with itself, whether or not today's hybrid regime is replaced in 2015 by another government – civil or military.

The 1982 citizenship law is illegal, morally unconscionable and grossly discriminatory. It is opposed to everything that we stand for. Please, tear down that wall of hatred and discrimination. The Rohingya-demand for equality in citizenship rights is a bona fide demand and you must do everything possible to make such a reality. That should create an atmosphere for inclusion. The new Burma must embrace pluralism under a federal framework and cannot live in the past of rotten hatred, racism, xenophobia and bigotry. The sooner the better!

Regards,

Dr Habib Siddiqui

To MacKinnon, Canadian democracy is a sham!

Posted: 26 Jun 2012 10:24 PM PDT

I have some words for Canadian columnist Mark MacKinnon whom, in his article titled 'A Roster of The Modern Autocrats' (The Globe and Mail's newspaper), lumped PM Najib in the same league as  Egyptian Hosni Mubarak, Russian Vladimir Putin and Palestines' Mahmoud Abbas - you better look at your own set of democracy.

Let me tell you that the Canadian democracy is well-broken. Admit it. Being a typical Western, its easy to find fault in others rather than admitting yours.

Honestly, tell me, is there anything about Canadian democracy that isn't broken? Elections about nothing, parties that have been reduced to leadership cults, a permanently deadlocked Parliament, record-low voter turnout, and overlaying everything an atmosphere of coarseness, cynicism and mindless partisanship.

And that's the good news! The impotence of ordinary MPs, the irrelevance of Parliament, the near dictatorial powers of the Prime Minister: if you were writing about a Third World country with a system like yours, you would be careful to refer to the 'largely ceremonial' Parliament and 'sham' elections.

Oh, and did I mention your appointed upper house? I assume you feel much the same as most Canadians do. So my question to you off the top is: which is the worst of Canadian democracy's many flaws? Would you tell me and the rest of the Malaysians, and not forgetting the Canadians?

Hey! I've been to your country six times since 1988. Have you been to Malaysia and studied how our democracy worked?

Some may argue that minority governments (like yours) are good for compromise and deliberation. That sounded sensible in the Canadian context five years ago but I don't see a lot of compromise and deliberation going on at your Parliament, or at least none that's about the goal of better governance.

But here's the hard question: is that because of the personalities involved, or is there actually anything to be done about your leaders?

Is that a matter of personalities? Partly. Mostly it's about incentives, and culture. Incentives, in the context of a minority Parliament, certainly but a minority Parliament in a system that was built to deliver majorities. Whatever stability it may once have promised breaks down in the kind of regionalised Parliament you now have.

The perpetual brinksmanship that has given this minority Parliament a bad name is likewise a peculiarity of the present electoral system, with its highly disproportionate relationship between votes and representation: every party thinks it can parlay a swing of a few percentage points in the polls into a bushel of seats. Change to a system without such winner-take-all payoffs, and people might stop gambling and get down to business.

So, you like that, don't you?

Yes, you had electoral reform by the short route. For the longest time many Canadians had rejected the whole notion. First, because they are always skeptical of system changes, which always seem to replace one set of problems with another set.

Second, because reform advocates' attempts to prove their preferred system isn't incomprehensible are, reliably, grim comedy.

Nope! You know nothing about Malaysia, about how Najib is transforming the country. In just three years, he has repealed our colonial-era Internal Security Act, ended the 60-year state of emergency, introduced measures to increase media freedom, reformed the Universities and University Colleges Act, created the Peaceful Assembly Act, announced a review of the Sedition Act, repealed the Banishment Act and the Restricted Residences Act and implemented a raft electoral reforms — an impressive track record by anyone's standards - which you took more than two decades to redress.

A-ah! Lim Kit Siang and The Malaysian Insider are so happy to ride on your story. Why? Because just like you, they only track other people's mistake!

Another question - why is your country languishing behind Angola, Colombia and Niger on the list of freedom-of-information rankings, at 51st?

After some number-crunching to standardise findings, it turns out Canada is even lower on the list — 11 spots to be exact — than when it was first published last September as part of a groundbreaking project by Halifax-based Centre for Law and Democracy and Access Info Europe of Madrid.

The report says: "As a country that was once among the world's leaders in government openness, it is unfortunate that Canada has dropped so far down the list. Partly, this is the result of global progress, with which Canada has failed to keep pace."

This means, your government lacks openness. What about transparency? So, how do you answer to that?

And if you are considering a trip to Malaysia, e-mail me, we can have a long session about 'your and my democracy'!

Posted: 27 Jun 2012 12:34 AM PDT

"Saya Tidak Mahu Rakyat Benci Saya Hanya Kerana Kenderaan Saya"- Mursi

Presiden Mesir, Dr.Muhammad Mursi ketika memasuki Istana Presiden Isnin semalam bagi meninjau keadaan istana yang dikosongkan lebih setahun lalu meminta pihak keselamatan mengurangkan bilangan kenderaan bagi mengiringinya bertujuan tidak mahu mengganggu pergerakan lalulintas rakyat awam.

Memetik sumber "Al-Masryl Youm" bahawa sewaktu melawat Istana Ittihadiyah semalam, Mursi meminta pihak keselamatan mengurangkan kenderaan pengiringnya.

Hang you, Umno MP. You just made Ambiga popular

MIC veep: Govt made Ambiga popular

S Retnanathan | June 21, 2012
The government's action made her a hero material, says MIC vice-president and deputy minister M Saravanan.
PETALING JAYA: All the brickbats thrown against Bersih chairperson S Ambiga by those in the government, have made the former Bar Council president popular and allowed her to gain the sympathy of Malaysians.
Describing the election watchdog co-chairperson as an ordinary person, MIC vice-president M Saravanan said Ambiga did ordinary things which can be done by anyone.
"However, the subsequent action by the government after the April 28 Bersih rally and opposition parties throwing their support for her made her extraordinary.
"Our action [the government's] made her a hero material… in this case a heroine," the Federal Territory and Urban Wellbeing Deputy Minister told FMT in an interview.
On the Bersih 3.0 rally, the MIC leader said even if the crowd which attended the rally was 80,000 or 300,000 as claimed by the opposition, it was barely one percent of the country's total population of 29 million.
Bersih wanted the rally to be held at the historic Dataran Merdeka. But the police obtained a court order barring anyone from entering the Dataran area for three days starting April 27.
This caused Bersih to hold the mammoth rally, calling for free and fair elections, on the busy streets of the federal capital.
The government subsequently filed a suit against Ambiga and nine other Bersih steering committee members in the civil court for damages caused as a result of the rally.
The government is seeking general and special damages amounting to RM122,000 and also a declaration that Bersih had violated the Peaceful Assembly Act.
Then on May 15, a group of retired armed forces personnel held "butt exercises" in front of her residence at Bukit Damansara.
The Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association said the event was held to protest against Ambiga for being an "enemy of the nation who had smeared the country's name" by organising the April 28 rally.
Earlier on May 10, a "burger protest" was also held in front of Ambiga's house by a group of traders who claimed to have suffered losses due to the Bersih rally.
In the latest twist, Kuala Lumpur City Hall sent a letter of demand to Ambiga and steering committee member Maria Chin Abdullah.
The letter, inked by DBKL director-general Salleh Yusup, sought compensation amounting to RM351,203.45 with regard to the rally, and an additional RM100 for preparing the legal notice.
If Ambiga and Maria failed to settle the stipulated amount within two weeks, Salleh said DBKL would initiate legal action against them.

Shooting in the foot
All these actions coupled with statements by government leaders bashing Ambiga turned the tide in Ambiga's favour. She soon gained popularity and sympathy from fellow Malaysians.
"We [the government] should have allowed them [protesters] to meet for two hours at Dataran Merdeka. It's no big deal… just let them gather, say what they want and disperse," said Saravanan.
"Although the government offered them [organiser] a solution, which is to hold the rally at a stadium, they did not accept it. It would have been better at a stadium. Even the Umno 66th year celebration was held at a stadium. The same thing with PAS' Himpunan Hijau.
"I think this is the way forward. We should allow rallies but at enclosed or confined areas. There is no point putting up barricades, getting court orders and all that. The April rally shows this legal approach does not work," he added.
He said if the Bersih rally was held in a stadium, then bloodshed could have been averted.
The rally turned unruly after police fired tear gas and sprayed chemically-laced water on the protesters when they tried to force their way into the Dataran Merdeka area. Scores were injured in the melee, including policemen.
Saravanan said if the rally was held at a stadium, the crowd estimate would have been more accurate and skirmishes avoided.
"Look at it this way… the damage [caused] by barring the rally [from entering Dataran Merdeka] was far more than if we had allowed the two-hour rally at the square… it's that simple. We shot ourselves in the foot in the absence of strategic planning," said Saravanan.

Five days later...

The Fable

Posted: 26 Jun 2012 09:15 PM PDT

ONCE upon a time a Dog used to go into the stable where the king's Elephant lived. At first the Dog went there to get the food that was left after the Elephant had finished eating.

Day after day the Dog went to the stable, waiting around for bits to eat. But by and by the Elephant and the Dog came to be great friends. Then the Elephant began to share his food with the Dog, and they ate together. When the Elephant slept, his friend the Dog slept beside him. When the Elephant felt like playing, he would catch the Dog in his trunk and swing him to and fro. Neither the Dog nor the Elephant was quite happy unless the other was near-by.

One day a farmer saw the Dog and said to the Elephant keeper: "I will buy that Dog. He looks good tempered, and I see that he is smart. How much do you want for the Dog?"

The Elephant keeper did not care for the Dog, and he did want some money just then. So he asked a fair price, and the farmer paid it and took the Dog away to the country.

The king's Elephant missed the Dog and did not care to eat when his friend was not there to share the food. When the time came for the Elephant to bathe, he would not bathe. The next day again the Elephant would not eat, and he would not bathe. The third day, when the Elephant would neither eat nor bathe, the king was told about it.

The king sent for his chief servant, saying, "Go to the stable and find out why the Elephant is acting in this way."

The chief servant went to the stable and looked the Elephant all over. Then he said to the Elephant keeper: "There seems to be nothing the matter with this Elephant's body, but why does he look so sad? Has he lost a playmate?"

"Yes," said the keeper, "there was a Dog who ate and slept and played with the Elephant. The Dog went away three days ago."

"Do you know where the Dog is now?" asked the chief servant.

"No, I do not," said the keeper.

Then the chief servant went back to the king and said. "The Elephant is not sick, but he is lonely without his friend, the Dog."

"Where is the Dog?" asked the king.

"A farmer took him away, so the Elephant keeper says," said the chief servant. "No one knows where the farmer lives."

"Very well," said the king. "I will send word all over the country, asking the man who bought this Dog to turn him loose. I will give him back as much as he paid for the Dog."

When the farmer who had bought the Dog heard this, he turned him loose. The Dog ran back as fast as ever he could go to the Elephant's stable. The Elephant was so glad to see the Dog that he picked him up with his trunk and put him on his head. Then he put him down again.

When the Elephant keeper brought food, the Elephant watched the Dog as he ate, and then took his own food.

All the rest of their lives the Elephant and the Dog lived together.

Isu Khatib Doa Jatuhkan Pemimpin Zalim - UMNO Terasa Pedas Kerana Termakan Cili

Posted: 26 Jun 2012 09:39 PM PDT

Saya doa jatuhkan pemimpin zalim - Khatib

-HD

Jawatankuasa kariah kesal isu diperbesar

"Kita mahu mengimarahkan masjid, tapi perbuatan mereka seolah-olah mahu memecahbelahkan jemaah masjid.

Now, Where's My Toast?

Posted: 26 Jun 2012 08:00 PM PDT

Couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things.

During a checkup, the doctor tells them that they're physically okay, but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember.

Later that night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair.

'Want anything while I'm in the kitchen?', he asks.

'Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?'

'Sure.'

'Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?', she asks.

'No, I can remember it.'

'Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it down, so's not to forget it?'

He says, 'I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries.'

'I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, write it down?', she asks.

Irritated, he says, 'I don't need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!'

Then he toddles into the kitchen.

After about 20 minutes, the old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs.

She stares at the plate for a moment, then says, 'Where's my toast?'

TG Nik Aziz Tak Ambil Kemudahan MB - Itu Pun UMNO Dengki & Sakit Hati

Nik Aziz: 'Saya tak ambil kemudahan MB'

SHAH ALAM - Menteri Besar Kelantan, Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat menegaskan usaha membersihkan pentadbiran beliau daripada rasuah bermula dari dirinya sendiri.

Gambar: Kesederhanaan (wasatiyyah) kehidupan TG Nik Aziz.

-SH

Perbelanjaan Berhemah Punca Kelantan Bebas Rasuah

The Sage, The Woman and the Chicken

Posted: 26 Jun 2012 03:30 PM PDT

A woman repeated a bit of gossip about a neighbor. Within a few days the whole community knew the story. The person it concerned was deeply hurt and offended. Later the woman responsible for spreading the rumor learned that it was completely untrue. She was very sorry and went to a wise old sage to find out what she could do to repair the damage.

"Go to the marketplace," he said, "and purchase a chicken, and have it killed. Then on your way home, pluck its feathers and drop them one by one along the road."

Although surprised by this advice, the woman did what she was told.

The next day the wise man said, "Now go and collect all those feathers you dropped yesterday and bring them back to me."

The woman followed the same road, but to her dismay, the wind had blown the feathers all away. After searching for hours, she returned with only three in her hand.

"You see," said the old sage, "it's easy to drop them, but it's impossible to get them back. So it is with gossip. It doesn't take much to spread a rumor, but once you do, you can never
completely undo the wrong."
