Shocking News: Slavery Still Exists!

Posted: 19 Jul 2012 10:14 AM PDT

The New Internationalist Blog posted an article HERE by Iris C Gonzales about the existence of slavery in Mauritania, Africa.

There, Iris wrote:

In the small dessert country of Mauritania in Africa, under the scorching sun, slavery still exists. But so does Brahim Bilal Ebeid, a social activist who is vice-president of the anti-slavery group, Initiative for the Resurgence of the Abolitionist Movement.

At a seminar on human rights and education in June, Ebeid talked about the reality that still grips parts of Africa.

'This is not the modern blue-collar slavery. It's real slavery as we know it,' he says at the talk held on the sidelines of the 2012 Global Media Forum held in Bonn, Germany.

He talks about his country where a significant portion of the population still live as secret slaves, of people being owned by 'masters.' Some people are born slaves, having been born to mothers who are slaves, he says.

As his words echo around the room, so do the gasps of the audience who are unable to conceal their disbelief.

The reality is indeed stark. Some masters rape their slaves and brutally beat them but for lack of gainful opportunities elsewhere, or because they do not know any other life, some slaves end up going back to their masters.

[BERGAMBAR] Abby Abadi Serah Borang Jadi Ahli PAS Seumur Hidup

Posted: 19 Jul 2012 11:24 AM PDT

Remains of Mona Lisa Uncovered

It's the face that launched a thousand imitations. Now, archaeologists are convinced they've found the body of the real Mona Lisa.

Buried in a crypt beneath a convent in Florence, Italy, archaeologists believe they have uncovered the skeleton belonging to the model who posed for Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece in 1504.

The wife of a rich silk merchant, Lisa Gheradini, is generally accepted by historians to be the woman with the mysterious smile.

Lisa Gheradini, whose married name was Giocondo, became a nun after her husband's death. She was buried in the grounds of the Convent of Saint Ursula where she died in 1542, aged 63.

[IKTIBAR] Kisah Di Malam Pernikahan ...

Posted: 19 Jul 2012 09:37 AM PDT

Sayang, tengok nih. Cantiknya Al-Quran ni. Warna keemasan.

Warna unggu keemasan. Mana satu kita nak beli ni?" balas Nabil.

Ala , awak bukan reti pun bahasa arab" jawab Nabil.

Tergelak Jamilah. Berbahagia rasanya dapat calon suami seperti Nabil. Prihatin.

"Apa yang saudara cari tu. Nampak seronok saya lihat" tegur pakcik berbaju putih. Jaluran baju ke bawah menampakkan lagi seri wajah seorang pakcik dalam lingkungan 40-an.

"Oh, kami cari Al-Quran. Nak buat hantaran. Maklumlah, nak bina masjid sengih Nabil. Jamilah ikut senyum tidak jauh dari situ.

"Oh. Bagus lah. Adik selalu baca waktu bila?" pakcik menyoal sambiltersenyum.
"Aa... aa.. lama dah saya tak baca, pakcik" teragak-agak Nabil menjawab. Jamilah sudah di sebelah rak yang lain.

"Kalau gitu, tak perlu lah beli AlQuran kalau sekadar hantaran. Kesian AL-Quran. Itu bukan kitab hiasan, dik" tegur pakcik berhemah.

"Alah, pakcik nih. Kacau daun pulak urusan orang muda.

"Oh, baguslah. Kalau gitu beli lah tafsir Ar-Rahman. Ada tafsiran lagi" cadang pakcik. Mukanya nampak seperti orang-orang ahli masjid.

"Ala , besar lah pakcik. Kami nak pilih nih. Kiut lagi" senyum Jamilah mengangkat bungkusan Al-Quran warna unggu keemasan. Saiznya kecil.

Pak imam baru sahaja sampai.

"Assalamualaikum semua" ucapan salam Pak Imam bergema. Nabil bagai hidup semula. Dirinya terkejut. Jantung bagai gugur serta merta. Mungkin tidak percaya apa yang dipandangnya dihadapan. Ahli-ahlikeluarga berebut-rebut bersalaman dengan Pak Imam. Mukanya berseri-seri. Janggutnya putih. Jubah putih. Rambutnya ada yang berwarna putih.

"Inikah pengantin hari ini?" tegur selamba Ustaz Saad.

"Pak.. Ustaz.. kabar baik, pak... usta.. ustazz.." jawab Nabil mengigil.

"Oh, sebelum tu, saya suka mendengar bacaan adik Nabil.

Kelihatan orang ramai mengiyakan. Nabil menelan air liur. Baginya inilah saat paling menyeramkan bagi dirinya.

Peluh membasahi baju melayu satin berwarna putih.

"Ss.. su.. surah apa ustaz?" Nabil cuba mengagahkan diri. Jamilah masih melihat dari tepi tirai. Memegang kepalanya. Seperti mengagak benda yang sebaliknya berlaku..

"Oh, ayat yang mudah saja. Baca 3 ayat Surah Ar-Ra'd" kata ustaz Saad sambil menunjukkan baris giginya yang putih hasil bersugi setiap solat mengikut sunnah nabi. Surah Ar-Rad Surah Ar Ra'd

"Apa benda nih" detik hati Nabil.

"Bismillahirrahmaan irrahim.. ALL..MAA. . RIII..!!" berlagu Nabil.

Kelihatan gemuruh satu rumah pengantin perempuan. Ada yang keluar dari rumah menahan gelak. Ada yang mengeluarkan air mata menahan kelucuan. Ada yang menggeleng-geleng kepala. Ibu bapa Jamilah merah padam wajahnya.

Adik Nabil, cara-bacanya seperti begini : A'uzubillahiminnassyaitaanirrajim. ..Bismillahirrahmanir rahim.. ALIF.. LAMM.. MIMMM... RAA.." kedengar suara gemersik Ustaz Sa'ad. Orang ramai kelihatan ingin mendengar lebih banyak lagi alunan irama AL-Qurannya. Nabil berasa seperti kilat menyambar kepalanya..

"Nabil, kamu jangan merendah-rendahkan kitab petunjuk iaitu Al-Quran. Ianya hendaklah dibaca bukan sekadar dijadikan hantaran.

Hari semakin cepat berlalu.

Pit.. Pit! Jangan lupa datang rumah ustaz malam nih. Kita belajar sama-sama. Jangan lupa bawa isteri sekali ya Nabil. SMS dari ustaz Sa'ad tiba. Jamilah senyum disisi suaminya, Nabil..

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: 'When a man dies and his relatives are busy in funeral, there stands an extremely handsome man by his head. When the dead body is shrouded, that man gets in between theshroud and the chest of the deceased.

'Thereafter he turns to his dead companion and says, 'I am the Qur'an,which you used to read, sometimes in a loud voice and sometimes in a lowvoice. Do not worry. After the interrogation of Munkar and Naker, you will have no grief.

'When the interrogation is over, the handsome man arranges for him from Al-Mala'ul A'laa (the angels in Heaven) silk bedding filled with musk.

Selepas soal siasat selesai, lelaki kacak mengatur untuknya daripadaAl-Mala'ul A'laa (malaikat dalam Syurga) tempat tidur dari sutera yang dipenuhi bauan kesturi Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said:

Please wake up, Ranjit!

Posted: 19 Jul 2012 08:38 AM PDT

Come on la, Ranjit! Your duty as the new SC chairman is not confined to 'warming up' the chair but more on actions, solid actions.

It has been brought to your attention that Talam deal with the Selangor State Government had emitted too much stinks. And now that we all know about it, don't you feel obliged to investigate and clamp those involved?

Please Datuk, wake up!

Don't worry. We will back you up. You may be new there but you got the right experience and a perfect team to dig up the matter, expose and clean it up.

As how Stopthelies puts it:

"The Securities Commission should have started investigating the improprieties of the RM1 billion deal involving Talam Corporation Bhd and the Selangor government by now.

Why is it still keeping silent and still snoring away when one of the biggest land scandal has exploded?

Talam Corporation – now renamed Trinity Corporation – has clearly misled and cheated its shareholders by providing false information, claiming its valuation of the deal was scrutinized and approved by the SC and Bursa.

The SC and Bursa have, in the past, hauled in companies and even the press for smaller violations.  Businessmen have been jailed for providing false information and yet the SC is sitting tight..."

Don't be afraid. Get cracking, will you?

Malaysia's debts might BOOM. Penang sees boom

Malaysia's debts a potential time bomb, say economists

By Lee Wei Lian
July 18, 2012

By Clara Chooi
July 19, 2012
KUALA LUMPUR, July 19 — Recent natural disasters in Malaysia's regional neighbours have perpetuated an industrial boom in Penang as global manufacturers flee to the Pearl of the Orient to park their businesses in a bid to spread risk, the Asian Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported today.

The international paper wrote that global tech firms, eyeing Penang not only for its strong logistics infrastructure but also its geographic location outside the the "Pacific Ring of Fire", now find the island an attractive alternative investment destination.

This investment climb, it said, has helped Penang rediscover its industrial dynamism from the 1970s and placed the Pakatan Rakyat-ruled (PR) state onto the global investment map.
"Longer term, many multinational companies are preparing better for natural disasters and supply-chain disruptions, and they now see Penang and Malaysia as an attractive location," the paper quoted Globetronics Technology Bhd managing director Heng Huck Lee as saying.

The article noted that the only possible risk to investing in Penang was the prospect of political turbulence as the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) is facing stiffer competition from PR in the coming polls.

This, it added, ultimately meant that PR-ruled states like Penang could face policy conflicts with the federal capital.

"But those tensions are relatively minor compared with those of some of Malaysia's neighbours," WSJ wrote, pointing to Malaysia's geographic location.

"The country sits safely away from the so-called Pacific Ring of Fire, mostly unaffected by the earthquakes and volcanoes that can afflict countries such as Japan and Indonesia.

"Malaysia also is less likely to fall victim to the kind of flooding that left Thailand's economy flailing last year," it said.

WSJ reported that the earthquake in Japan and floods in Thailand last year had left companies in both nations flailing.

The hardware industry was hit especially hard from Thailand's flooding, it said, even forcing renowned electronics firms like disk-drive maker Western Digital and electronics companies Sony Corp, SNE and Toshiba Corp to temporary shut down their plants.

At one point, global prices for disk drives even doubled, WSJ reported, before Western Digital and other manufacturers began bumping up their productions in Malaysia.

"Now the California company is expanding across Malaysia in a five-year, US$1.2 billion (RM3.8 billion) effort to whittle down its dependence on Thailand.

"A new Malaysian plant is expected to open this year," the paper wrote.

Others, including chip-maker Intel Corp, audio firm Bose Corp and electronics-equipment makers National Instruments Corp and Agilent Technologies, have also begun expanding their operations here.

With investments pouring in, Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng is banking on another "bumper year" in 2012 after having pushed for the construction of more industrial parks to accommodate the investment boost.

"We had fallen off the radar screen, so we went back to the drawing board. It just takes a little time to shake off the rust," Lim was quoted as saying.

Papagomo Gagal Batalkan Saman RM10 juta

Batal saman: Mahkamah tolak permohonan Papagomo

-HD

Turkey - using "Palestine" instead of helping it

Posted: 19 Jul 2012 06:24 AM PDT

A biting critique in Hurriyet by Burak Bekdil:

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu must have been too busy isolating (now) Russia and China (after Israel) to notice that his favorite brothers in the Middle East, the Palestinians, recently sounded an alarm when they found out that they were incapable of paying June salaries to 160,000 employees on time.
The shortfall was considered the biggest crisis in Palestinian history, and the authorities said they heavily relied on the availability of Arab and international aid. It is bizarre that Ankara did not pay any attention to the Palestinian cry. Which other nation in recent history has been the loudest supporter of the "Palestinian cause?" Where are the Turkish brothers of our Palestinian brothers? Some facts and figures I recently came across might shed light on the situation.

In the aftermath of the Mavi Marmara tragedy, Mr. Davutoğlu said this was "Turkey's 9/11," that more Turkish-led flotillas would be on their way to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza, that Turkish military planes and ships would protect these "aid vessels" and that Israel would eventually be entirely isolated.

That challenge was followed by numerous other promises for every manner of possible Turkish aid for our Palestinian brothers, including a revelation that Minister Davutoğlu was dreaming about "praying at the al-Aqsa Mosque in the Palestinian capital Jerusalem." Naturally, all that made Mr. Davutoğlu and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan heroes in the Palestinian lands – for some time.

Two years later, the Palestinians may be feeling differently. A Palestinian friend who lives in a European capital and has never hidden his admiration for his nation's greatest Turkish saviors now thinks that the Turks used the Palestinians in an Orientalist power game. "We've been deceived by many nations, and now, once again, by the Turks," he wrote to me recently. I replied that I was not the right person to contact and gave him Minister Davutoğlu's office number.

Facts and figures... Yes. Every new day we hear from the prime minister that "we are the world's 17th – and sometimes 16th – biggest economy and we are running fast to become one of the top 10." Yet, at an international donors' conference for Gaza in March 2009, the Turkish pledges stood at a mere $93 million (no typo here, ninety-three million dollars). That pledge accounted for only 2.1 percent of all international (mostly Christian!) pledges made at that conference which totaled $4.257 billion. But there is more.

If you examine the source country data of all 216 approved projects in the Gaza Strip, you will see a breakdown that is not really proportional to the Turkish extravaganza of boasting one of the world's biggest economies as well as its brotherhood with Palestine. Of those 216 projects, 180 are run by international aid organizations, three by the World Bank, three by the Red Crescent, 13 by Germany, two by France, and one by each of Belgium, Egypt, Holland and Sweden. Turkish projects? None. Zero.

Ah, but there once was one. In the late 2000s, a Turkish business organization, TOBB, launched an "industry for peace" project which would have built an organized industrial zone in Jenin and created 5,000 jobs. In 2009, a memorandum of understanding was signed, with all the dignitaries smiling in Kodak-moment happy pictures. Another signature ceremony in 2010 and a pledge to build a similar industrial zone in Gaza followed. More Kodak-moment happy faces. The most recent news on the Jenin project appeared a few months ago when a Turkish official briefed Palestinian journalists on "the latest developments." We journalists have the immediate reflex to know that this simply means there is no real progress to speak of.

And, by the way, any ideas about the Turkish-Palestinian foreign trade? After I saw that the annual two-way figure for 2010 was $29 million and that Palestinian exports to Turkey stood at $270,000, I didn't bother checking the 2011 numbers.
It isn't only Turkey. Every Arab and Muslim nation uses the "Palestinian cause" to distract their people from what's happening at home, but when it comes down to it they do little. Except for Iran, which is happily arming any terror group who claims to want to destroy Israel. Hat tip : Elder Ziyon

[MELAMPAU] Anak Dicabul, Ibu Tunggal Dakwa Dihalau Guru Besar

Posted: 19 Jul 2012 05:38 AM PDT

Shah Alam – Seorang ibu tunggal mendakwa bukan hanya dimarahi malah dihalau guru besar ketika dia cuba mendapatkan penjelasan berhubung kejadian cabul melibatkan anaknya, baru-baru ini.

-SH

The Belly Dancing Experience

Posted: 19 Jul 2012 03:53 AM PDT

Before I started blogging seriously, I was a gym fanatic from November 2005 to November 2007. Then, I was trim, slim and svelte and hit the gym everyday and twice on Tuesdays and Thursdays! After I gave up my gym membership, I set up a mini home gym with a range of free weights, dumbbells, treadmill, bicycle, workout bench, cross trainer, twister and other exercise gadgets. Good money wasted.

The bench was used for my boys' school bags. The weights were used for 'aesthetic' reasons such as raising the height of the waste-paper basket. The bicycle was used to block the balcony door and the handles of the treadmill was used to hang clothes that I had ironed. The twister was used as a base for the television in my bedroom so that I could swivel it easily. The cross-trainer which was placed in the computer room was overshadowed by the computer and had absolutely no utility. The only gadget used frequently was my computer.

Along the way, I gained weight. Horizontal progress was the catch-phrase and I soon outgrew my clothes. Since I had been battling the bulge from my teens, my wardrobe had clothes in three sizes - M, L and XL.

From Medium, I morphed into Large. Then it was Extra-Large and the alarm bells went crazy when I hit XX-Large.

It was no laughing matter when few clothes could fit me. I could not pull up my jeans beyond my thighs and if I succeeded, I could not zip up no matter how hard I tried. I ended up wearing my standard uniform of shorts and t-shirts. Since they were all either lycra-based or stretchable, it was easy to slip into apathy and think that all was well. It was not.

Along the way, I lost many friends and relatives and I had a turn-around one day thanks to my cousin who, when visiting Penang, had brought along this scientific contraption which could measure:

  • Weight
  • Body Fat
  • Muscle mass
  • Visceral Fat
  • BMI
  • Body Water
  • Bone
  • Body Age
  • Kcal measuring functions

Well, my readings were horrible and my body age was 58 - many years more than my chronological age!!! My 76 year old aunt's body age was 50 (she is a ballroom dancer/competitor). The only acceptable reading was my visceral fat which was pretty low as I am a low-fat diet. I seldom eat meat too.

That was when I started my journey to a healthier and slimmer me. The death of a dear friend in mid-December accelerated my weight loss and by April I had lost 29 pounds. However, I paid a heavy price.

From January to May, I was very ill. Then I started eating a little bit more and exercised more. I have maintained a 26 pound loss for the past 5 months and I was so frustrated as I had plateaued in my weight loss.

The past few months, my friends such as Dr Murali, Freddie, Suan Choo, Connor and Philip had been badgering me to join a gym. I did not for two reasons - I could not afford it and hated driving through traffic jams. Also, I did notl like the parking arrangement at their gym.

And then came another turn-around yesterday. The greatest motivator in my quest for health and fitness probably heard the cries of my heart and gave me a one-year membership at the newest gym in town.

Today was my first day there. I put on my favourite black exercise pants, a white t-shirt, a new pair of Adidas sports shoes that I bought in Isetan 3 years ago (never worn at all!) and drove to the gym.

Upon reaching the gym, I kept my backpack in the locker and headed for my favourite machine - the stepper.
Working out for 10 minutes on the stepper was so tiring. I had programmed it to fitness test and in that period, I burnt 80 calories, panted like a hunting dog and was not at all surprised when the results of the test beeped across the screen:

V E R Y     U N F I T

Not about to be defeated, I went on the treadmill, programmed it to Fat Burn function. I walked and then ran for two kilometres and burned 120 calories. As it was my first day, I was going to shower and then head for home when another lady asked me to join her for the belly dancing class.

Belly dancing? *faints*

Gingerly, I followed her to the huge workout room. The mirrored walls made me feel better as I could see that the 8 months of gruelling exercise and dieting was worth it. The instructor, Beatrice, looked radiantly beautiful and most alluring in her harem pants, belly ring and ornaments, scarf and midriff top.

In my previous gym, I did attend one belly dancing class and was not impressed. But this class was unlike any other I had seen and even the one I had attended because Beatrice was the one who really explained meticulously the mechanics of motion in belly dancing. What enthralled me was the way she shared and taught with so much love and passion for belly-dancing.

"The term "belly dance" is a translation of the French "danse du ventre" which was applied to the dance in the Victorian era. It is something of a misnomer as every part of the body is involved in the dance; the most featured body part usually is the hips. Belly dance takes many different forms depending on country and region, both in costume and dance style, and new styles have evolved in the West as its popularity has spread globally. Although contemporary forms of the dance have generally been performed by women, some of the dances, particularly the cane dance, have origins in male forms of performance." (Source: HERE)

Much to my surprise, Beatrice did not dance for us or ask us to dance. Instead, she explained the isolations that we had to master and how the focus is on the hip and pelvic area.Contrary to what some may think, belly-dancing is not about swaying the body in a seductive fashion but it is all about isolating different parts of the body such as the hips, shoulders, chest, stomach. Some of these movements reminded me of the isolations used in my jazz dance classes in the 1990's. For sure, correct posture and muscle control are just as important in belly dance as it is in other types of dances.

Today, I learnt isolations for the hips, buttocks; the Shiver/Shimmy a shimmering vibration of the hips, hip hits and the undulations.

According to Wikipedia:

Shiver or Shimmy – a shimmering vibration of the hips. This vibration is usually layered onto other movements to create depth in performance. The simplest shimmy is created by moving the knees past each other at high speed, but contractions of the glutes, thighs or lower back may be used instead to create different qualities of movement. The shimmy can be performed in different directions - up and down, side-to-side, or in a forward and back swinging motion. The same move can be performed using the chest and shoulders, sometimes called a shoulder shimmy.

Hip hits – A staccato movement of the hips out from the body. This can also be performed using other body parts such as the shoulders or chest. The move is usually achieved by isolating the hip area and contracting the glute muscles to move the hips up or down. The dancer's weight can either be distributed across both legs or on one leg with the toes of the other foot pointed.

Undulations – Fluid movements of the hips or of the chest and abdominal muscles in a circular or rotating fashion. There are a wide variety of movements of this kind, of which the most well known is probably the rotating movements of the chest forward, up, back and down to create the impression of riding a camel. (from HERE)

What made the class special was the way Beatrice asked us to connect with our bodies - the different muscles and how to let our minds control our bodies. Believe me - for twenty-five minutes, I was trying to jiggle my hips and the 'moons' and made no headway till she asked us to lie flat and to relax, concentrate and allow our mind to tell our bodies what to do. Once I found the muscle, it was soooooo enjoyable.

However, the prelude to that enjoyment was heartache and frustration. I am so glad Beatrice did not give up on me even though I said my body is made of wood :-). She looked at me and said, "I know you are trying very hard to connect with your body. By next week, you will be able to do it." Most encouragingly, she kept telling us to relax, to let go and to let it flow. I was thrilled when finally, my derriere could move and pulsate albeit slowly.

Whatever the case, it was such an enjoyable lesson together with Ong and her daughter. We connected as women who love dancing and were more than ready to take a ride on this journey to the world of belly-dancing. I had no problem doing the shimmy but the undulations - whoa!!! Mega difficult and ultra tiring!

It is not going to be easy and I surmise it will probably take me one to two years to be really good. But it does not matter. What matters is the exercise, breathing correctly, being connected to my body and enjoying the pulsating force of the music and moving to the beat. Hopefully, in time to come, I can have a washboard abs! I know my friend Philip is the only guy who attends the belly-dancing class in his gym. Thank goodness we belong to different gyms!! :-) If you have tried belly-dancing, please share your experience.

Here are some links to belly-dancing competition video clips.

Tak Usah Banyak Alasan, Najib Memang Takut Debat

Posted: 19 Jul 2012 03:43 AM PDT

Alasan kerajaan kononnya perdebatan sesuai dibuat di Parlimen hanya untuk menutup ketakutan Datuk Seri Najib Razak berdebat bersama Ketua Pembangkang, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Ketua Angkatan Muda KEADILAN (AMK) Selangor, Azmizam Zaman Huri berkata, keengganan Perdana Menteri itu tidak perlu ditutupi kerana umum tahu seberapa banyak alasan pun, pokoknya, Najib memang takut berdebat.

"Sebab itulah mereka takut berdebat. Lagi banyak cakap, lagi banyak keburukan terkeluar.

Tambah beliau, sikap berdolak dalik membuktikan Umno BN terlalu takut berdepan Pakatan Rakyat.

"Pemimpin Umno perlu terima arus politik semasa, bukan lagi memberi seribu satu helah mengelak berdebat," katanya. -KD

A Strange Goodbye

Hope this touches you the way it touched me! :-)

GOODBYE MOM
--Author Unknown-

A young man shopping in a supermarket noticed a little old lady following him around. If he stopped, she stopped. Furthermore she kept staring at him.

She finally overtook him at the checkout, and she turned to him and said, "I hope I haven't made you feel ill at ease; it's just that you look so much like my late son"

He answered, "That's okay."

"I know it's silly, but if you'd call out 'Good bye, Mom' as I leave the store, it would make me feel so happy."

She then went through the checkout, and as she was on her way out of the store, the man called out, "Goodbye, Mom."

The little old lady waved and smiled back at him..

Pleased that he had brought a little sunshine into someone's day, he went to pay for his groceries.

"That comes to $121.85," said the clerk..

"How come so much? I only bought 5 items."

The clerk replied, "Yeah, but your Mother said you'd be paying for her things, too."

Bet you thought this was going to be a tear jerker.

Don't trust Little Old Ladies!!! Just joking!

Najib Berbahasa Arab, "Mufsidun" & "Muslihun"

Posted: 19 Jul 2012 02:34 AM PDT

PM label peserta BERSIH golongan 'mufsidun'

Myanmar Muslims’ request to Myanmar government

Posted: 19 Jul 2012 12:22 AM PDT

Myanmar Muslims just need to request (actually DEMAND) Myanmar government:

1. To draw a Race relation act. (Myanmar National Harmony Act)

To totally stop HATE SPEECHES. In the books, pamphlets, political statements, in the MMS Main Stream Media, other print media and online Media and various postings on the Internet, eg blogs, Face Book and comments etc..Actually need to enact a law to criminalize various kinds the above mentioned Hate Speeches.

2. To stop Racial Profiling and calling derogatory names on any group with the names they could not agree or dislike.3. To give Equal Rights for all the citizens.4. To respect Human Rights of all the citizens.5. To Amendment the Myanmar Citizenship Law 1982 especially with the view on difficulties of Myanmar Muslims in getting National Registration Cards.

We need to educate the Myanmar Government, Tatmadaw, NLD, all the people of Myanmar about these.  All of the above should be written in Burmese and English.

Although most of us would not like or hate or deny to associate with the GENOCIDE, we need to read and publicize the gist of Eight Stages of Genocide.

If Myanmar Government failed to respond to our above FIVE REQUESTS, there is a real danger of accidental Genocide attempt on Muslims of Myanmar in the near future.

[TERKINI] Ada Isyarat Pilihanraya Bakal Diadakan Dalamasa Terdekat

Posted: 19 Jul 2012 12:01 AM PDT

-TMI

Presiden PAS jangka PRU13 selepas raya

PNSB Rugi Semasa BN, Tapi Jana Untung Bawah PR

Posted: 18 Jul 2012 07:08 PM PDT

-selangorku
