Ahmad Tea & Vintage Teas – My New Companion

Ahmad Tea & Vintage Teas – My New Companion

Ahmad Tea & Vintage Teas – My New Companion

Posted: 03 Sep 2012 08:35 AM PDT

Ahmad Tea & Vintage Teas – My New Companion – Coffee is nice, but does not feel comfortable in me some times. My new thing in my life is – drink tea. Just recently, I started to drink tea and Lifehacker has a good write up on guide to tea. Basically I drink tea is just for fun, for leisure, rejuvenate, replenish and healthy!

Not forget to mention, it's tasty too! I've read on the Internet, only now I know that tea is good for health. Tea that I am talking about is Green Tea & Black Tea. I am not sure about Chinese tea like Pu Er, Long Jing, Tie Kuanyin and other. My starter would be Green Tea and Black Tea. Green Tea has got a lot of good comment about it.

1. Tea contains antioxidants. Like the Rust-Oleum paint that keeps your outdoor furniture from rusting, tea's antioxidants protect your body from the ravages of aging and the effects of pollution.

2. Tea has less caffeine than coffee. Coffee usually has two to three times the caffeine of tea (unless you're a fan of Morning Thunder, which combines caffeine with mate, an herb that acts like caffeine in our body). An eight-ounce cup of coffee contains around 135 mg caffeine; tea contains only 30 to 40 mg per cup. If drinking coffee gives you the jitters, causes indigestion or headaches or interferes with sleep – switch to tea.

3. Tea may reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke. Unwanted blood clots formed from cholesterol and blood platelets cause heart attack and stroke. Drinking tea may help keep your arteries smooth and clog-free, the same way a drain keeps your bathroom pipes clear. A 5.6-year study from the Netherlands found a 70 percent lower risk of fatal heart attack in people who drank at least two to three cups of black tea daily compared to non-tea drinkers.

4. Tea protects your bones. It's not just the milk added to tea that builds strong bones. One study that compared tea drinkers with non-drinkers, found that people who drank tea for 10 or more years had the strongest bones, even after adjusting for age, body weight, exercise, smoking and other risk factors. The authors suggest that this may be the work of tea's many beneficial phytochemicals.

5. Tea gives you a sweet smile. One look at the grimy grin of Austin Powers and you may not think drinking tea is good for your teeth, but think again. It's the sugar added to it that's likely to blame for England's bad dental record. Tea itself actually contains fluoride and tannins that may keep plaque at bay. So add unsweetened tea drinking to your daily dental routine of brushing and flossing for healthier teeth and gums.

6. Tea bolsters your immune defenses. Drinking tea may help your body's immune system fight off infection. When 21 volunteers drank either five cups of tea or coffee each day for four weeks, researchers saw higher immune system activity in the blood of the tea drinkers.

7. Tea protects against cancer. Thank the polyphenols, the antioxidants found in tea, once again for their cancer-fighting effects. While the overall research is inconclusive, there are enough studies that show the potential protective effects of drinking tea to make adding tea to your list of daily beverages.

8. Tea helps keep you hydrated. Caffeinated beverages, including tea, used to be on the list of beverages thatdidn't contribute to our daily fluid needs. Since caffeine is a diuretic and makes us pee more, the thought was that caffeinated beverages couldn't contribute to our overall fluid requirement. However, recent research has shown that the caffeine really doesn't matter – tea and other caffeinated beverages definitely contribute to our fluid needs. The only time the caffeine becomes a problem as far as fluid is concerned is when you drink more than five or six cups of a caffeinated beverage at one time.

9. Tea is calorie-free. Tea doesn't have any calories, unless you add sweetener or milk. Consuming even 250 fewer calories per day can result in losing one pound per week. If you're looking for a satisfying, calorie-free beverage, tea is a top choice.

10. Tea increases your metabolism. Lots of people complain about a slow metabolic rate and their inability to lose weight. Green tea has been shown to actually increase metabolic rate so that you can burn 70 to 80 additional calories by drinking just five cups of green tea per day. Over a year's time you could lose eight pounds just by drinking green tea. Of course, taking a 15-minute walk every day will also burn calories. [From here]

I went to the supermarket and look for tea bags as I do not have tea pot or mug. There's so many tea bags on the shelves which makes me confuse about which to get. I ended up with Ahmad Tea and Vintage Teas as they have a better looking packaging. Sorry for not going for local's Boh. I don't know why. Gonna try up this two Ahmad Tea Original Green Tea and Vintage Teas Black Tea Peach first only then I look for others.

Any recommendation?

Breakfast Wan Tan Mee At Taman OUG

Posted: 03 Sep 2012 08:04 AM PDT

Breakfast Wan Tan Mee At Taman OUG  - Was craving for Wan Tan Mee (noodle) this morning and went to the one located at PJS7 Low Cost Flat area but it was not open. Then the place 'Taman OUG' came up on my mind as it was somewhere in between the way to the city centre then off I went to that place.

Breakfast Wan Tan Mee At Taman OUG

I recalled once I had Wan Tan Mee at there but have forgotten about which stall and coffee shop it was. Randomly, I went to the coffee shop (Restorant Swee Hing) that has the most people. Parking was a big problem at that area, but I still managed to find one. Wan Tan Mee stall located at the front was the first thing that greeted me so I quickly ordered one to easy my morning hungryness.

Breakfast Wan Tan Mee At Taman OUG

RM4.50 for the above plate of Wan Tan Noodle, with plentiful of char siew, 3 wan tan in soup, a little kai lan and the springy noodle. Oily as it seems, but the noodle was springy enough and the soy sauce was just nice to my taste. Too bad there's too less kailan vegetable. Char siu was so-so to me although sweet. As for the wantan, it's not bad afterall. It's just another kind of wan tan mee if were to compare to Penang's. Penang's has lard in it!

Please introduce some nice Wan Tan Mee place in Klang Valley, Kuala Lumpur, PJ. =)

Breakfast Wan Tan Mee At Taman OUG

By the way, kopi-peng costs RM1.90! This is KL, duh…

Najib Boleh Adakan Sekatan Politik Tapi Najib Tidak Boleh Sekat Yang Ini...

Posted: 03 Sep 2012 10:00 AM PDT

Putrajaya bukan milik UMNO BN.

Firman Allah di dalam Al-Quran surah Ali-Imran ayat ke 26 bermaksud;

Allahumma inna naj'aluka fii nuhuri a'da ina
wa nauzubillahi min syuruurihim,
Allahumma baddad syamlahum,
wa farriq jam'ahum,
wa syattit kalimatahum,
wa zalzil aqdaamahum,
wa sallidt 'alaihim kalban min kilabik
Ya Qahaar, Ya Jabbar, Ya Muntaqim,
Ya Allah, Ya Allah, Ya Allah.
Allahumma ya munzilal kitab,
wa Ya mujriassahaab,
wa Ya hazimal Ahzab
ihzimhum, ihzimhum, ihzinmhum
wansurna 'alaihim

Ya Allah,
Sesungguhnya kami meletakkan leher musuh -musuh kami kepada Engkau
Dan kami berlindung dengan-Mu daripada kejahatan-kejahatan mereka
Ya Allah,
Leburkanlah kumpulan mereka
Pecah belahkan dan kacau bilaukan pertubuhan mereka
Goncangkan pendirian mereka
Dan hantarkanlah anjing-anjing Engkau kepada mereka
Wahai Tuhan yang gagah perkasa
Wahai Tuhan yang Maha Kuat
Wahai Tuhan yang ada bersifat murka
Ya Allah Ya Allah Ya Allah,
Wahai Tuhan yang menurunkan kitab,
Wahai Tuhan yang mengarakkan awan
Wahai Tuhan yang menewaskan bala tentera al-ahzab
Kalahkan mereka Kalahkan mereka Kalahkan mereka
Dan menangkan kami ke atas mereka.

Najib, UMNO & Sesiapa Juga
Tidak Akan Mampu

First Time Visit To Kampar & UTAR – Little Town Of Perak

First Time Visit To Kampar & UTAR - Little Town Of Perak

First Time Visit To Kampar – Little Town Of Perak – I went to Kampar, Perak yesterday! Kampar is a little town in Perak, far away from the big city but famous among Malaysian students as there locates a few higher institution – UTAR & KTAR. I have many friends who are studying at there but I've not been there before. I went to there with my girlfriend to check out some hostel room as she's moving there to study.

First Time Visit To Kampar & UTAR - Little Town Of Perak

It's about 1 hour 45 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur and the place is kinda rural. The first place I came across is the little town of Tapah before reaching Kampar. Kampar is very peaceful, there's many hill and lake, and a lot of residential terrace houses which serve as student accommodation.

Nothing much, you can see coffee shops, rows of shoplots, cyber cafes, a tall hotel – Grand Kampar Hotel, Tesco, railway track and that's all I guess. Haven't explore much yet. UTAR is cool, the campus itself is big and has a modern squarish design. Unfortunately, the landscape doesn't seems being maintained well. But afterall, it seems to be a good designed campus, just located at a wrong location. It should be something close to the city in my opinion.

The student accommodation is one special thing. Each row of terrace houses is named according top institution in the world like Harvard, Cambridge, Imperial and so on. And don't be surprise that there's 20 student living under one roof. That's so, dense! And bicycles are everywhere.

Chee Pherng, Boon Hooi, Me and Peng Sheng in front of UTAR signage!

Met some high school friends there, tour a bit of the campus and went back home. Will be visiting there again, perhaps explore some cool spot. I have found a nice sunset shooting spot at there, will be back with a tripod and a proper camera! =)

Mahfuz Cerita Detik Balingan Kasut Yang Hampir Terkena Beliau

Posted: 03 Sep 2012 08:31 AM PDT

Mahfuz: 'Kasut dibaling nyaris terkena saya'

The Horizon Over The Hills

As some of you might have realized, I have been posting lots of inspiring articles on pets. The following post by my blog reader Achibong was first posted in response to my post on The Journey.  Achibong's post is spontaneous, beautiful, poignantly exquisite and moved me to tears. Thank you, Achibong, for sharing straight from your heart. You are blessed with a firm and steadfast relationship with your beloved canine friend. Take care, keep on walking and please keep on writing too!!! If you would like me to post a photo of your dog, please send it to my email address as listed in the other post. Dear readers, here's Achibong's post which I have titled The Horizon Over the Hills.

The Horizon Over The Hills
Written by Achibong

I take long walks - alone, or used to be.

That evening, you joined in. From nowhere you followed a few paces behind, cautious not to attract a reprimand. I ignored you. A kilometer down the road, you dropped back the distance. You stopped and you gave up. "Come" I said, I can make do with a companion. You raced back. Thus begin our regular 10 kilometer walks, together.

That evening we walked through parks, shops and residential areas. You walked playfully in front of me and you walked around me, tipping garbage bins and scurrying cats to trees and alleys. Many times you walked ahead falling out of sight, and then turned around waiting for me. You didn't realize you have more legs than me.

Then came the overhead pedestrian bridge. Putting all fours on steps made for two is a tricky thing to do. You placed your paws on the first steps waiting for courage that never came. What are friends for you looked at me. I went down on my fours to show you the way.

So you tripped, stumbled and missed a good many steps before landing on the bridge. Climbing down the other end is trickier, head first or bottom you wonder. Sorry my friend, I couldn't show you the way down while other pedestrians were around. I feel your desperation; you were scared of the height and scared of falling down. You turned back to where you came. It then struck you that turning back is also climbing down! You started scratching all over your body looking silly. Now's my turn giving up, adios my friend as I took the steps straight down. I did not see you tumble and stumble but I know you did. You did make it down and you make it home, your new home.

A year on I walk alone no more. I make my friends and you make yours on our walks. Man and dog walking get people talking. You now have friends black, white and blue, and I have mine some I don't have a clue. They wave, they honk and as they do, is it at me or at you?

We walk the streets and the back alleys, the sight of you had some give way in a hurry. You think we are kings making the rounds, but the king in you is you're the haram.

When your friends big and small, barking behind locked gates and high walls, it's your being free that excite them all. You are free from a leash and you are free from a collar. They make their master wear the leash while they keep their collar.

These blue bloods look you down; for they have a master to walk them and to pick their poo. They leash end to end when they walk, tugging, shuffling and sometimes going round and round. And you can't tell out who's walking who.

You meet the strays you once were, sniffing the front, wagging the rear and you size them all over. Then you bully some, and bullied by some. Man and beasts are equally dumb.

You've stopped chasing cars and peeing wheels, you've no longer making cats take to their heels; it's time you stop raiding garbage bins, the long suffering folks want you to refrain.

And that sweetie lassie you are eyeing to come in heat? Walk on my friend, the fence before you will soon make you quit.

We've walked the streets, we've walked the fields. We will now walk the horizon over the hills.

Strong or of Strength?

Posted: 03 Sep 2012 06:00 AM PDT

A strong person works out every day to keep his/her body in shape.....

but a person of strength kneels in prayer to keep his/her soul in shape.

A strong person isn't afraid of anything.....

but a person of strength shows courage in the midst of his/her fear.

A strong person won't let anyone get the best of him/her.....

but a man/woman of strength gives his/her best to everyone.

A strong person walks surefootedly.....

but a man/woman of strength knows God will catch his/her if he/she falls.

A strong person wears the look of confidence on his/her face.....

but a man/woman of strength wears grace.

a strong person has faith that he/she is strong enough for the journey.....

but a man/woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that hw/she will become strong.

CAIR: Censor or Free-Speech Champion? The group opposes a law curtailing Jew hatred.

Posted: 03 Sep 2012 05:26 AM PDT

By Andrew C. McCarthy

Breaking news: CAIR, perennial agitator for language purges and "hate speech" regulation, is suddenly the champion of First Amendment free expression. It proves, once again, that Islamists and leftists are just like defense lawyers. A defense lawyer who has a good case can be very persuasive. If the defendant really is innocent, or if the prosecution's case really is flawed, defense counsel can take one main line of defense and pound away at it relentlessly. That is how doubt is sown, which is the defense lawyer's objective. A credible story that the prosecutor cannot completely refute is the roadmap to acquittal.

This, however, is not the lot of most defense lawyers. In the vast majority of cases, the client really is guilty, and the state really does have ironclad proof. So defense counsel becomes the charlatan for whom every trial day is a new day. On Monday, he tries a false-identification theory, suggesting that the defendant was not even at the scene of the crime. When that doesn't fly, on Tuesday he runs with, "Well, maybe he was there, but he didn't know the three guys he was with." Once that blows up, Wednesday's gambit is: "Well, sure, he knew them, but he didn't know they were going to rob the bank." By Thursday, it's: "Well, maybe he said he'd help them, but one was a government informant, so he must have been entrapped."

Our defense lawyer is put in this untenable position because his true objective is fundamentally different from his lofty pretense. He purports to be on a quest for justice, but the only thing he really cares about is getting the defendant off, by any means that might work. Thus, he tries all means he can think of, even if they are contradictory — even if positing the first defense undermines the next, ultimately destroying his overall credibility as an advocate.

Although it does more than its share of litigating, the Council on American-Islamic Relations operates mainly in the court of public opinion. CAIR is the Muslim Brotherhood bullhorn created to cheerlead for sharia, for Hamas, and for sundry other jihadists — all under the guise of "civil rights." In unison with its "social justice" collaborators on the left, CAIR is most often found campaigning against "Islamophobia." This is a term strategically created by the Brotherhood to slur as "defamation" or "incitement" (collectively, "hate speech") any criticism of Islamic supremacism. That includes the ideology's undeniable roots in Muslim scripture; its vow to destroy the West from within; and its promotion of terrorism against legitimate sovereign authority, spun as "resistance" against "occupation." It is farce. CAIR has no real interest in hate speech per se. Indeed, it has no real interest in civil rights — no proponent of sharia could. Its sole actual imperative is Islamic supremacism: promoting any cause that increases Islamic influence and protesting any effort either to reduce Islamic influence or to subject Islamic-supremacist doctrine to scrutiny. Consequently, CAIR's precious fretting over hate speech extends only so far as Islam is advanced or imperiled.

The same is true of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation — the supranational caliphate in the making — whose top goal at the moment is suppression of speech about Islam. Like its CAIR confederates, the OIC pretends to be a champion of universal "human rights." Thus it feigns opposition to defamation or incitement against what it calls "religion." But we know this is fraudulent — or at least we would know if examination of Islamist ideology were not so adamantly discouraged. It is a plain, irrefutable fact that Islamic countries repress the practice of other religions. Indeed, the practice of religions other than Islam is illegal in Saudi Arabia, the OIC's de facto leader. Patently, it is not "religion" that the OIC cares about; it is Islam. "Religion" is invoked as a smokescreen, enabling these Islamist activists to pose as guardians of civil rights rather than the vanguard of Islamic supremacism.

All of this is worth sorting out because, unexpectedly, we have a teachable moment. The state of California has adopted a resolution decreeing that "no public resources will be allowed to be used for any anti-Semitic or any intolerant agitation."

Lagi Dituduh Anti-Melayu Lagi Ramai Melayu Sertai DAP

Posted: 03 Sep 2012 06:27 AM PDT

Hadir sama, Setiausaha Publisiti DAP merangkap Ahli Parlimen Petaling Jaya Utara, Tony Pua; Pengerusi DAP Johor merangkap Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (Adun) Skudai, Dr Boo Cheng Hau dan Ahli Parlimen Bukit Bendera, Liew Chin Tong.

Simple Vs Real

Posted: 03 Sep 2012 03:50 AM PDT

A simple friend has never seen you cry. a real friend has shoulders soggy from your tears.

A simple friend doesn't know your parent's first names. A real friend has their phone numbers in his/her address book.

A simple friend brings a bottle of wine to your party. A real friend comes early to help you cook and stays late to help you clean up.

A simple friend hates it when you call after he/she has gone to bed. A real friend asks you why you took so long to call.

A simple friend seeks to talk with you about your problems. A real friend seeks to help you with your problems.

A simple friend wonders about your romantic history. A real friend could blackmail you with it.

A simple friend, when visiting, acts like a guest. A real friend opens your refrigerator and helps himself.

A simple friend, thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument. A real friend knows that it's not a friendship until after you've had a fight.

A simple friend expects you to always be there for them. A real friend expects to always be there for you!

Tiada Pasukan Khaskah Ditubuhkan Untuk Siasat Yang Kencing Macam Anjing Ini?

Polis tubuh pasukan khas

KUALA LUMPUR 2 Sept.

Pengarah Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Ibu Pejabat Polis Bukit Aman, Datuk Seri Mohd. Bakri Mohd.

PERSOALANNYA,
MENGAPA "DOUBLE-STANDARD"?

.. DAN SIAPA SEBENARNYA SELAMA INI
SEMAI POLITIK KEBENCIAN MELAMPAU?

Pijak Gambar Pemimpin Negara Perbuatan Melampau
