Yatt Hamzah: Jangan Takut Berhijrah, Rezeki Di Tangan Allah

Posted: 06 Jan 2013 09:20 AM PST

Tahun 2012 menyaksikan penghijrahan sebilangan besar selebriti tanah air.

Kalau nampak pun mungkin jika dia pakai kopiah sepanjang masa.

Apa komen Yatt?

SINAR HARIAN ONLINE: Hijrah katanya tutup periuk nasi seseorang artis. Apa pendapat Yatt?

YATT HAMZAH: Tidak. Sebenarnya kalau kita jaga (agama) ALLAH, ALLAH menjaga kita. Jangan risau, jangan takut nak berubah. Kebaikan itu kita jangan bertapi-tapi.Buat dengan yakin.

SINAR HARIAN ONLINE: Boleh Yatt kongsi perubahan pada diri Yatt selepas berhijrah?

YATT HAMZAH: Saya akui selepas saya berhijrah, awal-awal penghijrahan dulu, Masya-ALLAH, Subhanallah, tawaran datang macam cendawan tumbuh selepas hujan, Tetapi itulah kuasa ALLAH.

Saya bukan ustazah, saya baru nak mula.

Soal fesyen satu hal.

Sekarang dah pakai tudung, ia menjadi ikutan.

Saya akui. Dulu. Lama. Sebelum saya berhijrah saya banyak risau tentang periuk nasi.

SINAR HARIAN ONLINE: Perkembangan terkini Yatt?

Alhamdulillah.

Attack on my Kyar Ba Nyein article and photos

Posted: 06 Jan 2013 06:00 AM PST

Just read the attacks on Wikipedia articles by senior Wikipedia Editors. Although my English is not perfect and I have no time to study all the rules and regulations of Wikipedia, they used to put in the TAGS and notices of Nominated for Deletion.

We are contributing our hard earned articles with facts and figures that they haven't in their encyclopedia, FREE OF CHARGE but they think they are too great, abusive, rude and unfair.

Look at my Kyar Ba Nyein article. I searched Burmese articles, translated and published. I had requested U Win Nein for his father's pictures through my brother. With the help of my friend I put into the Wiki. Although I wrote the source and allowing by the deceased person's eldest son to use as necessary, they deleted because of the wrong licensing fill up. I pointed out but no reply no republishing.

Please read this Talk:Kyar Ba Nyein to understand the Edit War to protect this article from deletion.

I have took the facts and translated from the article written in Burmese by Ludu Daw Ah Mar Mandalaythu Mandalaytha mya or Mandalayans 1991 book,"Burmese Muslim Kyar Ba Nyein" chapter[1] While Googling I found a blog with some of the scans of the book about the Burmese boxers especially from Mandalay, including Kyar Ba Nyein. Mandalay 150 Anniversary Magazine, Shwebo Barmathi Aung Khin's ,"Burmese famous boxers in the World Olympic Boxing Ring",page 430 [2], 431 [3]and 432[4] –Darz kkg (talk) 13:01, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

Although there are many issues with this article we all know that there is only ONE big issue with the Wikipedia editors or administrators.

See the multiple tags. He/She never understand Burmese language and even failed to think rationally. If do not understand, I am afraid he should just ask the help of many Burmese Wikipedians. Ludu Daw Amar was a vell known and respected journalist. She owned the Ludu newspaper. I hope all the Burmese Wiki editors know about Kyar Ba Nyein. He was the Burmese Boxing Champion represented the country even in Olympics and a Referee at the SEAP Game. He was the father of Burmese traditional boxing. I had not just given the name of two books but the scanned pages. I am fed up with this kind of editors. He should be BANNED for at least three months for this reckless action.–Darz kkg (talk) 14:21, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

The onus is on the editor to provide documentation and sources. Incorporate the sources you have found into the article. As it stands, there is much text yet no references for it. –Ari (talk) 06:17, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

I had already provided the sources, documentation and translation. But I have to admit that this article needs a lot of help from other editors to reach the Wiki standard.
Problem is you cound not understand those sources and documentation but still come in wrongly just to score some points. Finding falts on others is easy for all the people. As an experienced Wikipedian, why you failed to sign after your talk? Not only me, a lot of people are fed up with Wikipedia because of these kind of insults. You could search the news yourself. I am not giving you the citation or reference of that news.–Darz kkg (talk) 05:33, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Talk pages are not forums. Keep your rants to yourself – or at least on topic. It is the onus of the editor to supply citations. Just because you refuse to is your problem. –Ari (talk) 06:17, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Actually the book I mentioned is No. 14th. Mandalaythu Mandalaytha mya – Mandalayans 1991 mentioned in wiki biography of Ludu Daw Amar under the Publications section.
Because we translated from Burmese language, the wordings and spellings are sometimes accidently different. I will abide by the first stablished version in Wiki and change them later.
I am not refusing to give the references for this article but just referring to the International news report about people, especially the new commers, got their ego abrased and tried to stay away from Wiki. I am not in a position or mood to discuss about this in your talk page but decided to put this here so that I could prove that there is a legitimate concerns and issues about this article. It is meant to avoid deletion of this article indiscriminately. Alhough putting in warnings of possible blockage in my talk page is like aggressive and rude, I hereby offer a peace offer to you. I understand that it is just a very minor issue and misunderstanding. I hope we all would be able to work together to improve Wikipedia. –Darz kkg (talk) 08:32, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

I found back the book:*Mandalay 150th. Anniversary Magazine (Printed in May 2009 published by U Sein Shwe @ Sein Shwe Hlaing, Chief Editor Maung Hla Paw – Mandalay.) Shwebo Barmati Aung Khin's ,"Burmese famous boxers in the World Olympic Boxing Ring". In this book we could read about where Kyar Ba Nyein's breif history including the story about his 'unfair' defeat in Helsinki Olympics due to alleged fault of referee and his photograph.

Kerana Kerap Memfitnah, Utusan & TV3 Akhirnya KANTOI!

Posted: 06 Jan 2013 07:32 AM PST

Utusan mabuk fitnah?

Itula jadinya bila kerja dia asyik menfitnah orang jek.

Harap editor utusan berfikir masak2. Ingat sket, hidup neh bukan kat dunia je. -blogserius

Manakala TV3 pula kantoi.

Edit war in Wikipedia that I had givenup in disgust

Posted: 06 Jan 2013 04:56 AM PST

Following is the WIKI EDIT war, I had given up with disgust @ Talk:Maha Bandula

The IDIOT wrote>Will people please write something with real english and proper grammar, and not kindergarten mindset? I find that some people will write all the issues they want on any topic they find relevant. Why not create a proper page, with proper styling and refercing, rather than deface this one about a famous Burmese general?

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not somebody's private homepage. Have some sense, some respect, and most of all, some brains! —Preceding unsigned

I replied> You even dare not sign your name and insult others.

You want to be a partner in the Genocide crimes committed by a Burmese 'hero' on the Ahon Shans?
Want to distort history?
In denial state?
Before putting citation needed, please read back my edition where I had given enough reference.–Darz kkg (talk) 03:21, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Just now, very late only, I found out the above unsigned coward's comments in erasing the facts I had given with proper citation and reference (at that time). Just look at that rude person's notes in erasing my facts:

11:34, July 6, 2008 162.83.136.63 (talk) . . (2,405 bytes) (-1,117) . . (conbsidering the fact he lived 200 years ago… this is not relavent to today, and accusing someone of something they did 200 years ago is very dumb)

Just read his very good English, grammar and spellings. Because I was busy at that time, with my job and other more important Wiki articles, I failed to notice his insults. So I do not wish to blame other Wiki Editors for not reprimanding that kind of person's erasing of facts and style of editing. Darz kkg (talk) 12:01, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

By the way…In the first line , he wrote :

1/ Will people please write something with real english. (should be in capital E.)
2/ conbsidering should be considering.
3/ refercing should be referring
4/ relavent should be relevant

He said I am dumb and to have some brains but he is blinded about his faults, mistakes and have no properly functioning brains at all.Darz kkg (talk) 12:10, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

He should notice that this article is a history article.

So when he wrote,"(conbsidering the fact he lived 200 years ago… this is not relavent …and accusing someone of something they did 200 years ago."is some what awkward. (Sorry, spellings are copied and pasted as he wrote.)

He was not thinking about what he meant but just wished to attack me and erased the shameful, GENOCIDE and ETHNIC CLEANSING of their hero.Darz kkg (talk) 12:28, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

The facts he deleted and I never tried to add back is given below as I am fighting for the more important Muslim in Burma/Burmese Indians (for Burmese Indian Muslims), Panthay Burmese Chinese Muslims, Pashus or Burmese Malay Muslim articles' survival. I had given up the Rohingya Muslim facts also because some Rohingyas are fighting the losing battle.

Ultra-Nationalists have got the strong foothold in Wikipedia to Ethnic Cleansed the articles about Muslims in Myanmar.

Massacre of Indian Shans

— the sort of fighting and bloody killings that took place between 1812-19 when the Burmese kings of Mandalay tried to conquer and subdue the Shan Ahom kingdom in Assam, India, where the Burmese General Maha Bandula's troops committed indescribable cruelties and barbarities as to decimate something like 2/3 of the population and certainly 1/3 of the men and boys – disemboweling them, eating their flesh and burning them alive in cages to intimidate and suppress the Shan Ahom of Assam,India. [2]

This event so weakened and disorganized the Shan Ahom that by 1839 the kingdom was completely annexed by the British. Before that from about 1220 – 1812 AD they maintained themselves under one Dynasty, (that of Mong Mao 568-1604 AD when its descendants ruled Hsenwi or Theinni in Burmese). Indeed the Shan Ahom resisted conquest by the Mughals who had conquered much of India before the British incursion.[3] [1] Burmese translation of above interview_ [2]

RM207b war compensation: Nizar plays dumb!

Posted: 06 Jan 2013 04:19 AM PST

I think Nizar Jamaluddin didn't do any research on the RM207 billion war compensation he claimed 'disappeared' into the government's coffer, or he and his team simply wanted to politically ride on the issue.

Had he done his homework, that amount of money didn't come in cash. What was termed as 'compensation for the victims of Japanese occupation' during World War II did not apply on those forced to build the 'Death Track' in Burma (Myanmar now) but also others who were badly affected by the occupation.

The number 30,000 raised by Nizar and his Jejak team cannot be confirmed as the number could be more or less.

In 1988, Tokyo admitted its 'mistakes' in Malaya, Burma and other countries and started to compensate them by providing financial aid for developing those countries, and Malaysia is one of them.

There was no clue to determine how many Malaysians were affected during the war, including the number taken by force to Burma to build the 'Death Railway Track', including a bridge across the Kwai River.

It was also not an easy task for any government to conduct a survey on those affected citizens as war promised nothing but sorrow and pain. Some claims were also found to be contain lies as to lucre on the compensation offer.

In that manner, the Japanese government had from 1988 distributed aids to various countries, including China and Malaysia as a diplomatic gesture to improve relations and put the bad episode behind their relations.

I wonder if Nizar himself, as a former senior government servant, had been following news published in newspapers and other bulletins about Japan's sincere approach to mend better ties with the countries it once occupied.

For Malaysia, various channels were established with Japan as a method to channel such compensations to the country. The only thing is, it didn't reach the family of the war victims but was instead translated into developing the nation.

Several grants was given by Tokyo to Malaysia, including for students, in effort to meet the amount RM207 billion 'owed' by them to Malaysians.

Why would the 30,000 get about RM3 million each when it is believed more than 1 million Malaysians had suffered during the occupation? There is no just to it, right?

Its really intriguing. Why only now that Nizar and his opposition team show a lot of interest in that money?

I believe they will also question the RM270 billion fund purported given by Tokyo to the Malaysian government in 2009 for the Padang Besar-Kunming railway track. Just wait...

Permohonan Papagomo Pinda Pembelaan Ditolak

Posted: 06 Jan 2013 05:02 AM PST

Defendan diwakili peguam Nor Azli Ahamed.

Poll Terbaru BN Selangor: UMNO Terkejut Beruk Rakyat Terus Pilih Pakatan

Posted: 06 Jan 2013 02:33 AM PST

JOM UBAH... SELAMATKAN MALAYSIA. -omakkau

PR Hulur Bantuan Banjir Kepada Rakyat Pun UMNO Takut...

Posted: 05 Jan 2013 11:49 PM PST

Semua mangsa diberi bantuaan seadanya mengikut keperluan masing-masing.

Makanya, kenapa terbawa-bawa politik ketika musibah melanda?

First week of 2013: 4 house visits

Posted: 05 Jan 2013 08:50 PM PST

After rounds and rounds of back-to-school shopping in December 2012, I still could not settle all the children's schooling needs. Why? Because for many of the children, they had to wait until school reopens before they can get the full list of payments needed.

So yep, although we're still within the first week of 2013, I have already visited 3 poor families with schooling children at their homes., and another one later today.

First up was Lin. Her son had completed his SPM, so this year only her youngest daughter is under sponsorship. She's in form 4 this year and next year will be the final year of sponsorship for this family.

I went to visit them on Thursday afternoon. Lin was sewing when I got to her house. Her 3rd daughter will be getting engaged some time mid-January, and so there were quite some things for her to prepare. And yes, this is the first of her children to get hitched, although the girl is her 3rd daughter.

This family is doing not too bad now that the 3rd daughter has a permanent job, while the eldest is still looking around for a permanent job with her nursing diploma. The second daughter is in her final year in a university abroad and should be able to obtain her medical degree before the end of this year.

Yesterday, Saturday 5th January, I decided to visit Laila. Remember Laila, the one and only daughter of the late Shila? Well, the girl is already in form one this year. I had wanted to visit during the school holidays, but she was at her paternal grandparent's kampong in another state. She's still the same shy girl though, only came out to salam, then she went back in to get the details of her school payments etc, and then she went back in again. While I was chatting with her grandma, I heard her aunt telling her, "Keluar ajelah, nak segan apa?" Apparently Laila made a drink for me but was too shy to come out to serve me. She ended up passing the mug of iced milo to her 5 year old cousin to be handed over to me.

Anyway, Laila had improved a whole lot academically.  She scored 3A 1B and 1C for her UPSR last year. For someone who had never got any A's in her exams before this, that was quite an achievement. If Shila was still alive, she would have been very proud of her girl. I hope she will continue to strive to do better.

From Laila's place, I headed over to the home of Jayanthi. This is not my client, but I had been to her house once with her originally assigned Buddy. The originally assigned volunteer is now no longer with Buddies, and my last call to Jayanthi's number didn't get thorough. But on Friday, Jayanthi herself called me up to ask if they could get assistance for her children's education. And since on my way back from Laila's place, I'd be passing her place, I figured I might as well visit her after visiting Laila.

The last time I went to visit, the volunteer who confidently told me finding Jayanthi's house was easy, ended up confused, thus confusing as well. His excuse was that he usually went by motorbike and so when we went by car, he couldn't remember which road to take. Huh?? What an excuse! The truth was, while he told me he used to visit this client every 2 months, in actual fact he had not been visiting them for almost 2 years.

Yesterday I went again, accompanied by Mrs G. That's my GPS. Didn't really give me accurate direction to Jayanthi's house, asking me to u-turn when I didn't have to, but good enough to bring me to the area which looked familiar enough and so I managed to get to Jayanthi's house without getting lost. Her dog was barking away like mad when I got down from my car, and so I waited outside until Jayanthi's son held the dog, telling it to keep quiet.

After calculating the fees etc that needed to be paid for Jayanthi's 4 primary school sons, I handed over some cash to her.

"Terima kasih banyak puan. Dulu anam taun sama itu **** (the former Buddy), dia janji macam-macam bantuan sama saya tapi satu sen pun saya tada dapat."

I will now need to assign her a new Buddy to follow up on her family.

That's 3 families covered. I am scheduled to visit Sofie's children later today. Will update on that later.

Health apps may help you to keep fit but experts warn against them

By AUDREY EDWARDS

PETALING JAYA: Thousands of apps are now available for smartphone users to download onto their devices, many of which can help them keep track of their health. But doctors and other experts have warned against over-reliance on these software applications.

Malaysian Medical Association president Dr S.R. Manalan advised the public to always consult a healthcare professional before using such apps, and not after.

The same precaution holds when getting information from the Internet, he said.

"Some apps have been put there only to make money. It's difficult to tell which are good."

A check on mobile devices revealed that there are almost 7,000 health and fitness apps in the country, among them software applications that offer programmes such as dieting and weight management and the monitoring of ailments like diabetes, heart condition and sleep disorder.

The apps can be downloaded from the App Store, Google Play or Samsung App, depending on the mobile device you use.

Dr Manalan said it was time for certification of the apps, stressing that enforcement would be key to the success of such an exercise.

Malaysian Dieticians' Association president Indra Balaratnam agreed that some apps on weight management helped people to be more conscious of what they eat and drink, but cautioned them to examine the expertise behind the development of an application and ensure that it had been developed using reputable or credible food databases.

"It's like buying a diet book. Not all diets in a book work and some can be very gimmicky," she said.

Indra said it was important to determine the source of the apps.

"Some of the more reliable ones were developed by universities, hospitals and health experts."

She emphasised that an app should "not take over actual medical attention by a healthcare professional".

Universiti Malaya Medical Centre consultant endocrinologist Dr Alexander Tan said that any benefit from apps available for diabetics depended on how much the patients used them, and reminded them that they would still need to check and record their blood glucose levels.

"Just having the app alone is not useful if minimal data are entered. The data have to be analysed and acted upon if abnormalities are detected," he added.

Dr Tan felt that such apps only played a small part in managing the illness.

"Diet and exercise, taking medication and self-monitoring are still the foundations for good diabetes control," he said.

I beat the birds this morning..it's almost Subuh.
Yeah..sometimes I'm punctual but many times I wake up with just enough time to prepare myself for the dawn prayers.
My Subuh did hanyut a couple of times even after I turned a bit lebai..
Ya Allah! Tobat!

A quick one..
It's very sinful to say Allah don't care.
Astaghfirullahhal'azeem..

Somebody's grandmother passed away recently.
Being from a different race and religion, the beloved family spent 200K for the funeral expenses.
Just to bury the dearly departed.
Just like that..so much cash.

Wallowing in momentary self-pity.. silently sulking.
Wishing I had mountains of money to use, spend and save..no more financial woes.

Please..don't say money is not everything.
It is definitely one of the key to happiness..dunia and akhirat.

Without money..how to live properly and gather all the good marks for Syurga akhirat.
Right..have to rush now.
Dah dengar Azan.

Assalammu'alaikum and have a happy family Sunday.

Attention please.. Kuantanites

The Fiscal Cliff

Thanks to YK for sharing this post.

Lesson # 1:
* U.S. Tax revenue: $2,170,000,000,000
* Fed budget: $3,820,000,000,000
* New debt: $ 1,650,000,000,000
* National debt: $14,271,000,000,000
* Recent budget cuts: $ 38,500,000,000

Let's now remove 8 zeros and pretend it's a household budget:

* Annual family income: $21,700
* Annual family spending: $38,200
* New debt on the credit card: $16,500
* Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710
* Total budget cuts so far: $38.50

Got It ??.......OK now……

Lesson # 2:
Here's another way to look at the Debt Ceiling:

Let's say, You come home from work and find there

has been a sewer backup in your neighborhood

....and your home has sewage all the way up to your ceilings.

What do you think you should do?.........

Raise the ceilings, or remove the sh*t?

[BERGAMBAR] Ketua-ketua Cawangan Umno Demo Bantah Ketua Bahagian

Posted: 05 Jan 2013 07:04 PM PST

Sepanduk seperti Kami Ketua-Ketua Umno Cawangan, mendesak Dali meletakkan jawatan', SPRM tolong siasat, 'Rakyat Dihimpit' dan lain-lain lagi seperti Asal Bukan Dali turut diarak. -HD

Sergeant in Saudi Air Force Faces Child Rape Charges in Vegas

Posted: 05 Jan 2013 04:52 PM PST

CHALLAH @ The Associated Press
A sergeant in Saudi Arabia's air force was jailed in Las Vegas on charges that he pulled a young boy into a hotel room and sexually assaulted him the morning of Sin City's big New Year's Eve fireworks extravaganza. Mazen Alotaibi, 23, faces charges including kidnapping, sexual assault with a minor and felony coercion that could get him decades in state prison, according to police and charging documents obtained Friday.
Mazen Alotaibi
The boy, who is younger than 14, told police the man forced him into a room at the Circus Circus hotel on the Las Vegas Strip and raped him. Police arrested Alotaibi after being called to the hotel before 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 31. "There was a kidnapping and sexual assault with force," Las Vegas police Lt. Dan McGrath said. "The victim said he was forced into the room and sexually assaulted. We have a strong case based on the evidence."
…McGrath said Alotaibi produced a Saudi Arabian military identification and said he was stationed at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland near San Antonio, Texas. U.S. federal authorities and Saudi military officials were notified, the police lieutenant said.
Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland spokesman Brent Boller told The Associated Press that records showed Alotaibi is currently stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. Boller said he could not immediately verify if Alotaibi had been at Lackland, but noted that international military students attend a Defense Language Institute English Language Center on the base to improve their English-language skills.
Alotaibi's lawyer, Don Chairez of Newport Beach, California, said Friday he had been in contact with U.S. military authorities at both air force bases and with the Saudi government. He said Alotaibi had come to Las Vegas for the New Year's celebration, and will plead not guilty. Of course the goats in Sin City were safe..............
