UMNO/BN Semakin Fobia Dengan Pimpinan PR

Posted: 30 May 2013 10:53 AM PDT

Beginilah nasib demokrasi pasca-PRU13.

-mk

It is not our culture , Rafizi i!!!!!

From Malaysiakini

EC wants to meet Rafizi but not at public events

Election Commission (EC) deputy chairperson Wan Ahmad Wan Omar has reiterated his intention to hold a private meeting with PKR director of strategy Rafizi Ramli over the electoral fraud allegations. The EC Dick says this, "It is better for me to meet him (Rafizi) face-to-face because there were many complaints and allegations by him; no need to have dialogues or forums," Wan Ahmad was quoted as saying.

This is a public interest subject and is of great public concern so it is only right for EC and Rafizi to have a public forum open to all. Later no one should claim that they have been misquoted. Rafizi is only representing the many public personalities who have complained and report to police. The EC has been making many and frequent statements to the pressso why should this meeting with Rafizi be private. Continue here.....

In a war motivated by Islamist ideology, appeasement is a policy certain to fail By Clifford D. May

Posted: 30 May 2013 07:44 AM PDT

In his 6,000-word speech at the National Defense University last week, President Obama devoted only one paragraph to the ideology of those who proclaim themselves America's enemies. But those 101 words are worth a closer look. "Most, though not all, of the terrorism we face is fueled by a common ideology," the president began. Quite right: Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, Iran's rulers, Hezbollah, Hamas, and many others who utilize terrorism do indeed see the world through similar lenses. The president did not name their ideology, but most of us have come to employ such terms as "jihadism," "Islamism," "political Islam," and "radical Islam."

The president described this ideology as "a belief by some extremists that Islam is in conflict with the United States and the West." This, too, is accurate. If you read the writings of Osama bin Laden, the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, and such Muslim Brotherhood intellectuals as Sayyid Qutb and Hassan al-Banna, there can be no doubt that, by their lights, this conflict is inevitable.

The extremists also believe, Obama continued, "that violence against Western targets, including civilians, is justified in pursuit of a larger cause." He refrained from defining that cause, though earlier in the speech he did mention that "deranged or alienated individuals" have been "inspired by larger notions of violent jihad." More specifically, they believe that Muslims have been divinely commanded to wage war against those who refuse to accept Allah as the supreme authority of the universe; Mohammed as Allah's prophet; the Koran as the revealed and unchanging word of Allah; and sharia as the law that mankind must obey.

They believe, too, that the world is divided between the Dar al-Islam, the lands where Muslims rule, and the Dar al-Harb, the lands where infidels rule. They reject the possibility that the two realms can — or should — peacefully coexist. On the contrary, the Dar al-Islam must do whatever is necessary to defeat and destroy the Dar al-Harb. Many Westerners find it difficult to comprehend that people actually hold such beliefs. These Westerners — there is no tactful way to say this — are ignorant of world history, the millennia of conflicts in which one group after another has attempted to impose its language, culture, religion, and DNA on others. The use of religion or ideology to justify such aggression and domination is hardly new. Contrary to much wishful thinking, "conflict resolution," tolerance, multiculturalism, and similar newfangled Western ideas have not been universally embraced.

Next, the president said: "Of course, this ideology is based on a lie, for the United States is not at war with Islam." That is something of a non sequitur: As noted above, a central tenet of the ideology he's discussing holds that Islam is at war with the United States and other nations that persist in rejecting Islam's message — and that the conflict must continue until the infidels submit.Further: "And this ideology is rejected by the vast majority of Muslims." Here, Obama returns to solid ground. Most Muslims have no wish to wage jihad against non-Muslims, no desire to strap their children into bomb vests or even to give money to the Islamic "charities" that support such missions. But if only 5 or 10 percent of the world's more than a billion Muslims do see such efforts as virtuous, we're still looking at an enormous movement — one lavishly funded by the plentiful oil under lands ruled by Muslims.

The president noted that Muslims "are the most frequent victims of terrorist attacks." There can be no question about that — in Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Mali, and many other corners of the world. What's more, the extremists reserve their most vehement hatred for fellow Muslims who reject their ideology, who — as they see it — have abandoned the true faith in favor of a watered-down interpretation of Islam. They call such Muslims apostates, and the punishment for apostasy is death. This is among the reasons so few Muslims dare speak out against the the fundamentalists. Tommy Robinson straightens out a hostile BBC

Posted: 30 May 2013 07:18 AM PDT

I wish EDL to be upgraded to a political party and see Tommy Robinson as Prime Minister. While Republican Europe seems without spine, the Monarchy is a protection for UK. EDL doesn't want to be to be racist and detrimental to the Muslim Population, but racist elements are for sure in there, Forces are there and should be controlled by the EDL leadership. Innocent Muslims should be protected and respected but also understand the West is alarmed by Islam and the plans for Sharia.

Islam Day: Thursday, June 6, 2013

Posted: 30 May 2013 07:26 AM PDT

Just this past week we were shocked to witness, in broad daylight, on London streets, the ambush and barbaric murder of Lee Rigby, a British soldier, husband, and father of a young child. Lee was ambushed by two men, who were Muslims, expecting everyone else to be tolerant of their intolerance. The British are on their way to a cultural suicde.  One of whom spoke directly to the camera afterwards. This man made it clear that his motivations were based upon Islam and the numerous verses in the Quran that call for violence against non-Muslims. Continue here to the whole article.......

Screwed up!

"DAP members who did not receive the notice were denied the right to vote and choose the leaders they wanted at the congress" - ROS director-general Abdul Rahman Othman.

It other words, there were attempts by certain quarters to pool only those 'approved by the top leadership' into the Central Executive Committee (CEC). The 'qualified but unwanted ones' found themselves being axed in advance.

So much of a so-called democratic party!

KUALA LUMPUR: Investigations by the Registrar of Societies (ROS) found many DAP members who were eligible to attend its national congress on Dec 15 last year, did not receive notice, said ROS director-general Datuk Abdul Rahman Othman.
He said the finding was made after investigations were made on complaints by DAP members on not being given the notice.
"DAP members who did not receive the notice were denied the right to vote and choose the leaders they wanted at the congress," he said in a statement on Thursday.
In the statement, Abdul Rahman also stated that ROS would continue investigations on other issues raised by complainants, and go through all documents submitted before arriving at a decision on the validity of the congress based on the Societies Act 1966.
The election of DAP's Central Executive Committee (CEC) at the congress became a bone of contention after complaints were lodged by various members that the party did not give notice on it to 753 delegates who were valid voters. - Bernama
In the past five months, the ROS had interviewed six complainants and several office-bearers. The registrar had also received a detailed document from party election director Pooi Weng Keong and party strategist Ong Kian Ming.

The ROS had also met DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng in Penang to discuss the matter last month.

The ROS sent a letter to DAP on April 17 as a notification that the central executive committee (CEC) elected in December last year was not recognised. While Guan Eng promised a full cooperation, some party leaders took it lightly.

Let's wait for the investigation to conclude. I hope DAP remains 'democratic'... but will the leaders practice it?

Masa Depan Malaysia Lebih Cerah Dengan Pakatan Rakyat

Posted: 30 May 2013 08:16 AM PDT

Ucapan Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang merangkap Setiausaha Agung DAP Lim Guan Eng di Merton College, University Oxford, England pada 28 Mei 2013

Crime is not up in Malaysia, only VVIPs are getting mugged and robbed lah!

By J. D. Lovrenciear

When it crimes to crime reporting, maybe the online media is lying. Maybe the main stream media is not giving the whole truth. As a former Minister lambasted, crime is not up in Malaysia; it is all a matter of perception lah. But now that VVIPs and their family members are falling prey to street crimes and house robberies, wonder what the government and its mouthpieces have got to reel out.

Ministers' children, royalty and even the top-cop's family members have become victims to robberies and street crimes. Is this also a matter of mere 'perception'. It is all so easy for top civil servants to be pumped with bullets at close range; it is all so easy for intruders to arrive by the boat loads and stack up their arms and yet go undetected. Even to say so is wrong and one will be accused of being anti-national and what nots. But leaving these serious breaches of security aside, how now that we have even VVIPs not safe at home or out shopping lah?

All these past decades Malaysian citizens – largely the working population, have been raising the alarm over the spates of robberies and near fatal injuries and loss of lives and properties.  The working class citizens have been living in fear not only out in the streets but also hovelled in their barricaded homes of grills, gates, locks and chains, investments in security alarms, watchdogs and what not.

When committed groups stepped forward to raise their concerns to the attention of the authorities, they got brick bats and reprimands. Some VVIPs even went the distance to holler, "Do not politicize the matter". Others said that the opposition politicians are exploiting the situation. And statistics were published to hoodwink the rakyat that crime is down in Malaysia and to smear the opposition politicains who dared to speak in the interest of victims.

When we cannot feel safe in our own yard, what security and safety are we assuring our citizens? When workers and shoppers leave home and arrive home with daunting fear of getting robbed in the street, at the hypermarket or even at the front gate of our homes, we lambast the citizens of being paranoid. But now that very important citizens are also falling victims to crime, will the same authorities preach to the victims that they must not highlight the crime otherwise tourists' arrival in Malaysia be affected lah (?).

We are so good at arresting and re-arresting opposition politicians. We are so damn good at crucifying young students minds. We are really damn good at shutting up our citizens when they ask about custodial deaths, unfair elections, and basic human rights. But when it comes to making our livelihoods safe and free from street crimes and house break-ins, it is all together a different tune.

Has the government of 56 years truly failed its citizens? No? Who will take responsibility for this compromise? Or is it a case of mere perception and that crime is really going down as the reports of VVIPs getting robbed and maimed are merely 'isolated incidents'?

Dear politicnas and authorities, do you know that the ordinary citizens in the neighboring countries - Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and even Myanmar or Sri Lanka, all of them will tell you that they do not clucth tightly their handbags under their armpits when out in the streets in broad daylight; that they do not look left, right, front and back each time before loading groceries in their car booths; that they do not barricade their homes like prisons; that they do not go to bed each night with fears of being been ransacked by parang weilding men.

Wonder what the newly-minted Home Minister and his right-hand Chief of Police have got to tell us citizens this time around. Even wonder whether the minority polls Prime Minister will stay silent or excuse himself of any negligence by 'leaving it to the authorities to act accordingly'.

Bishop denounces selective prosecutions by Terence Netto

From Malaysiakini

Catholic bishop Dr Paul Tan Chee Ing aired his anxiety that the country was edging closer to being "a police state" because the courts could free an arrested individual, only for the police to re-arrest the same persons and charge them under obsolete laws. "It appears the police are making all the valuations based on a self-defined goal of national security," said the head of the Catholic Church in the Johor-Melaka diocese.
NONE"Things are beginning to seem frozen at a certain level, no higher than the imaginations of the governing mediocrities of the police force and the Attorney-General's Chambers," asserted the Jesuit-trained prelate.

He was commenting on the re-arrest on May 27 of former ISA detainee Yazid Sufaat, this time under Section 130KA of the Penal Code, after he had been freed by the High Court on May 21 on a charge under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma).

Other re-arrests the bishop was referring to were those affecting MP Tian Chua of PKR, politician Tamrin Ghafar of PAS, and NGO activist Haris Ibrahim who were charged yesterday under the Sedition Act 1948. A magistrate's court had on Monday denied a police request for a remand order on all three following their initial arrest on suspicion of sedition. Bishop Paul Tan said the police and the AG's Chambers could be accused of selective prosecution because they had done nothing in recent years to prosecute individuals who had inflamed the feelings of minorities and other groups through rabble-rousing and incitement.

"Politicians and other firebrands have called for the burning of holy books and had accused, without offering proof, minority religious groups of proselytising Muslims, and nothing has been done to them," charged the bishop. "Now you have individuals whose apparent offence is the expression of robust dissent, and that too on a matter which is being queried by many quarters - the suspicion that the polls on May 5 was riddled with irregularities," he said. "These dissidents are being hauled up for sedition whereas rabble-rousers are allowed to go free.

Custodial deaths

Bishop Paul Tan also said the public has been periodically jarred by news over the last several years of the deaths while under police custody of people who have been arrested as criminal suspects. "Hardly any police personnel have been indicted for these deaths which disturb the public conscience because of their regularity and apparent brutality," said the bishop. He said the steady rate of deaths of suspects while in police custody has been a national scandal but the police appear "well-nigh incorrigible."

"It is any wonder then that by their derelictions and by their selective actions, the police have given cause for people to think that our country is edging closer to being a police state?" asked the bishop. He said Christian social teaching holds dear the inviolability of human life, the right of individuals to peaceful expression of dissent, and the duty of citizens to oppose corruption and abuse of power. "A state that is willing to usurp the faculties of those it rules by refusing to let them think and express themselves peacefully has already proved itself barbarous, even if it doesn't go on to resort to concentration camps and mass executions."

The bishop said that he was opposed to injustice and immorality, selective prosecutions and the deliberate targeting of dissidents, according to the teachings of the Catholic Church, which allows its clerics to denounce violations of human rights while forbidding them to take partisan political stances on the issues of the day.

Europe's tolerance tested by Islam

Europe has welcomed immigrants with the idea they would become part of the established culture but some groups are taking advantage of the largess.

By JAMES ZUMWALT, UPI Outside View Commentator HERNDON, Va., May 28 (UPI)

In 1995, herpetologists began observing frogs in the U.S. with various mutations and genetic defects. Suspecting the cause was environmental rather than natural, they launched a decades' long study linking pesticides and other toxins to disturbing nature's balance. If so few herpetologist observers could identify such a dangerous trend evolving and isolate its cause, why then is it so difficult for social scientists to do so concerning human behavior within democracies that is disrupting stability's natural balance? A series of articles by author Soeren Kern underscores this trend in Europe.

Switzerland is a land famous for not having had to fight a war for centuries. Generations of its citizens have proven adept getting along with all cultures. With no standing army, it opted instead to provide for its national defense with a people's militia. But recently, to enhance public safety, it armed transport police as robberies and assaults on Swiss trains have drastically increased -- the crime rate having doubled since early 2011. A society once secure in the warm glow of peaceful human co-existence now suffers from insecurity as 70 percent of voters say they want an increased police presence. In Sweden this May, riots broke out in Stockholm as hundreds of mostly young people torched vehicles, set fires and threw rocks at police. The unrest spread to 15 other parts of the city with police stations, schools and community centers set on fire. In London, youth gangs verbally harass passersby. Their main targets are women and gays. But more aggressive gangs warn non-members they intrude on the gang's turf at their own risk.

Just like herpetologists isolated pollution as disrupting nature's balance for frogs, the cause for the above changes -- ongoing in Switzerland, Sweden, England and elsewhere -- is more obvious. A pollutant, again, is at fault -- one disrupting security's natural balance within these democracies. These countries, long embracing Christianity while welcoming other religions, opened up to Muslim immigrants who have used that openness against them. With Muslim immigrant populations radically growing in these countries, the "guest" is brazenly taking on the role of "host."

Meanwhile, Muslims say others are politically insensitive to their "suffering," making outrageous charges. They complained to Swiss Airlines about "offensive" advertising, simply for depicting a plane bearing the Swiss flag's red and white cross with the words "Cross is Trump" (as in the card game). Outraged Muslims alleged it a "Christian slogan used as a provocation and attack against Islam." As a Christian symbol, they say the cross "no longer corresponds to today's multicultural Switzerland." Yet they build mosques in Switzerland with defining domes and minarets symbolic of Islam.  Read the whole piece here at UPI......

Obama-backed Syrian rebels massacre Christian village

Posted: 30 May 2013 03:54 AM PDT

(Examiner) Members of the Free Syrian Army reportedly attacked the Christian-dominated al-Duvair village in Reef on the outskirts of Homs on Monday, where they massacred its citizens, including women and children, before the Syrian Army interfered. [...] While the sources describing Monday's massacre are supportive of Assad, it's possible that it occurred since the rebel groups fighting the Assad regime are composed mainly of members of al-Qaeda and al-Qaeda affiliated groups and have committed war crimes and atrocities in the past.

Jabhat al-Nusra, the branch of al-Qaeda that fought and killed American and allied troops in Iraq, have positioned themselves in Syria and control the rebel movement. Hat tip: Eye On The World
