Berita Luarnegara Lapor Najib Dijangka Lepaskan Jawatan PM Hujung Tahun Ini

Posted: 10 May 2013 10:17 AM PDT

You believe this lying racist, who calls himself the PM?

Remember he  rewarded  Perkasa veep, Zulkifli Noordin for pissing on the Indians  This one is rich and he says it with a straight face. He does not love this country or his people, it goes against the very dogma of UMNO.  You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time. - Abraham Lincoln, (attributed)16th president of US (1809 - 1865) If you guys fall for this you are bigger dicks than him. No you have not been a PM for Teoh Beng Hock, Kugan, Sharbani and all the other murdered souls who are crying for justice from beyond. You defended PERKASA, bought the elections, the list will be too long, no you are not a PM for all.

Najib says will be PM for all - From The Malaysian Insider

KUALA LUMPUR, May 10 — Datuk Seri Najib Razak today promised to be a prime minister for all Malaysians, regardless of race, religion, state or political views. "I love my country and I'm proud of how far we have progressed. And I know that by working together as one nation, our best days are still to come," he said in the latest entry on his blog, 1Malaysia.com.my. In the entry titled "Thank You", the prime minister also promised that the Barisan Nasional (BN) government would make efforts to ensure any form of extremism and racism, which are unhealthy for Malaysia, would be tackled. "We will also continue to promote moderation among multiracial Malaysians and place great importance on racial harmony and national unity," he said.

Najib who is also BN chairman, also thanked the voters and all quarters who placed their trust in the BN government to continue ruling the country. In the 13th general election last Sunday, BN retained power by securing a simple majority of 133 parliamentary seats (out of 222 seats). Najib said he had had the privilege of serving the people for most of his career. "I remember the first time I was elected as an MP, the first time I spoke in Parliament, the first time I took responsibility for a government department. "Over the last few years I have had the privilege of serving our country as prime minister, but the biggest privilege of all is that you have now given me the chance to finish what I have started," he said.

Najib also admitted that the 13th general election was a long and hard-fought election. "There have been a lot of strong views and different ideas over the last few weeks. There has been passion, and sometimes even anger. "We have just been through the biggest, most competitive exercise in democracy our country has ever seen. In every kampung, town and city, people have been debating, campaigning, and voting for the future of our nation," he said, adding that now was the time to move towards national reconciliation. — Bernama

Rapprochement tough after BN’s ‘divisive’ campaign, says The Economist

Posted: 10 May 2013 06:28 AM PDT

KUALA LUMPUR, May 10 ― National reconciliation appears a distant dream post-Election 2013 for a country scarred by the "nasty, divisive" electoral campaign led by Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) in the rural heartlands, The Economist has said. The international current affairs magazine observed that Umno, to shore up its base of rural Malay voters, had alienated the Chinese and other communities already fed up with the alleged cronyism and corruption associated with affirmative action policies that favour the country's largest ethnic group.

"Mr Najib has said he wants to be prime minister for all Malaysians. Sadly, however, he presided over an ugly campaign by his... Umno, the main component of Barisan," the magazine wrote, referring to Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who was sworn in for his second term as prime minister after BN emerged victors again for its 13th general election running. "In the rural Malay heartlands, Umno was as negative, racially divisive and pro-Malay as ever," it added.

Adding salt to wound, The Economist said blaming BN's losses on a "Chinese tsunami" had been unwise of Najib as the vote trend had clearly shown a massive swing in votes from the young and rising urban middle class, which cut across racial lines. "Casting the election in such racial terms is neither wise nor accurate," the magazine wrote in one article titled "A dangerous result". "Despite professing to promote a multi-ethnic Malaysia, Barisan's election strategy has left the country more divided than ever, both along ethnic lines and between urban and rural areas," it said in another, titled, "A tawdy victory".

The Malay language media also has not helped BN, The Economist added, citing Utusan Malaysia's controversial front page on Wednesday when it splashed the headline, "Apa lagi Cina mahu (What else do the Chinese want?), in what appeared to be an attempt to shape the results of Election 2013 as a Chinese-versus-Malay vote. Despite the outrage sparked, Najib came to the defence of the Umno-owned daily, earning himself more criticism for using race to characterise the results of Sunday's polls. Nombor Telefon Salahuddin Diklon, Hello Celcom Ni Apa Cerita?

Posted: 10 May 2013 08:10 AM PDT

-SH

Obama’s Betrayal of Islamic Democracy - The mishandling of Benghazi undermined a prominent Muslim moderate. By Andrew C. McCarthy

Posted: 10 May 2013 06:17 AM PDT

A significant point made in riveting testimony by Gregory Hicks, the State Department's former deputy chief of mission in Libya, has largely been missed in the coverage of Wenesday's Benghazi hearing. It is worth highlighting, not least because doing so illuminates the depth of the Obama administration's depravity. In its assiduous effort to defraud the American people, for 2012-campaign purposes, into believing that the Benghazi massacre was provoked by an anti-Islamic Internet video — rather than having been a coordinated jihadist attack that undermined President Obama's claim to have decimated al-Qaeda — the administration betrayed its self-proclaimed commitment to establishing democracy in Islamic countries.

It has been widely reported that, during the hearing, Mr. Hicks was asked to respond to the infamously cynical, transparently rehearsed rant — "What difference, at this point, does it make?" — by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during her long-delayed congressional testimony about Benghazi back in January. Hicks first observed that the real question was, "What difference did it make?" (his emphasis), then proceeded to explain that the difference was enormous . . . and enormously damaging. The reason has to do with Mohammed Magariaf, the president of Libya's new, post-Qaddafi General National Congress. In a pleasant surprise during the dark days after the Benghazi massacre, President Magariaf forcefully condemned the attack as the work of Islamic terrorists.

For career State Department officials such as him, Hicks elaborated, this was a major coup. Now, to say Hicks was a compelling witness is an understatement. On this point, though, he did not flesh out what he meant. That is why it has not gotten the attention it deserves. As readers who follow our discussions here know, I am not a fan of Islamic-democracy promotion — at least, not the way our government has done it for the last 20 years, which is more a matter of forcing "democracy" to accommodate anti-democratic sharia law than of instilling the principles of Western liberty. For present purposes, however, the point is not to rehash this debate.

Like most of our best foreign-service officers, Gregory Hicks is a true believer in helping Islamic countries achieve what he called their "dream of democracy." This was a goal the Bush and Clinton administration set themselves to. It is, moreover, what the Obama administration claims is its top imperative in the Middle East — the reason why Obama has insisted, for example, on starting an unprovoked war to topple Qaddafi, on giving billions in aid and sophisticated weaponry to Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood government, and on supporting the "rebels" in Syria despite their ties to the Brotherhood and al-Qaeda.

What officials like Hicks realize but have difficulty explaining — for to explain it is to admit the gargantuan uncertainty of the task — is that democratization calls for authentic Muslim moderates to separate themselves from violent jihadists (and, I would add, from sharia chauvinists posing as moderates). If they are unwilling or unable to do so, there can be no real democracy. There can be only the law of the jihadist jungle or, at best, a milder sharia totalitarianism that, though we may refer to it as "democracy," is not democracy in any real sense.

As we have seen time and again, however, this is a very hard thing for moderates to do. Again, my point here is not to repeat what I've said a million times about how foolish we are not to study Islamic-supremacist ideology. But the unyielding fact is that this ideology is prevalent throughout the Middle East — it is not just the stuff of fringe terrorists. And it teaches that those who sow discord in the ummah — by, for example, condemning fellow Muslims or endorsing Western standards over sharia subjugation — should be ostracized or even killed.

It takes a great deal of bravery for a Muslim to make a stand against this. He is sure to be vilified as an apostate for doing so. Sharia's penalty for apostasy is death, and the so-called Muslim Street is well known to take such matters into its own hands. This is why President Magariaf's acknowledgment that the atrocity in Benghazi was a terrorist attack, and his forceful condemnation of the jihadists who carried it out, was such a coup in the eyes of Hicks. The Forgotten Genocide: Why It Matters Today

Posted: 10 May 2013 04:44 AM PDT

Today, April 24, marks the "Great Crime," that is, the Armenian genocide that took place under Turkey's Islamic Ottoman Empire, during and after WWI.  Out of an approximate population of two million, some 1.5 million Armenians died. If early 20th century Turkey had the apparatuses and technology to execute in mass—such as 1940s Germany's gas chambers—the entire Armenian population may well have been annihilated.  Most objective American historians who have studied the question unequivocally agree that it was a deliberate, calculated genocide:
More than one million Armenians perished as the result of execution, starvation, disease, the harsh environment, and physical abuse.  A people who lived in eastern Turkey for nearly 3,000 years [more than double the amount of time the invading Islamic Turks had occupied Anatolia, now known as "Turkey"] lost its homeland and was profoundly decimated in the first large-scale genocide of the twentieth century.  At the beginning of 1915 there were some two million Armenians within Turkey; today there are fewer than 60,000….  Despite the vast amount of evidence that points to the historical reality of the Armenian Genocide, eyewitness accounts, official archives, photographic evidence, the reports of diplomats, and the testimony of survivors, denial of the Armenian Genocide by successive regimes in Turkey has gone on from 1915 to the present.
A still frame from the 1919 documentary film Auction of Souls, which portrayed eye witnessed events from the Armenian Genocide, including crucified Christian girls.

Indeed, evidence has been overwhelming.  U.S. Senate Resolution 359 from 1920 heard testimony that included evidence of "[m]utilation, violation, torture, and death [which] have left their haunting memories in a hundred beautiful Armenian valleys, and the traveler in that region is seldom free from the evidence of this most colossal crime of all the ages."  In her memoir, Ravished ArmeniaAurora Mardiganian described being raped and thrown into a harem (which agrees with Islam's rules of war).

Unlike thousands of other Armenian girls who were discarded after being defiled, she managed to escape. In the city of Malatia, she saw 16 Christian girls crucified: "Each girl had been nailed alive upon her cross, spikes through her feet and hands, only their hair blown by the wind, covered their bodies."  Such scenes were portrayed in the 1919 documentary film Auction of Souls, some of which is based on Mardiganian's memoirs. Give Home Ministry to KJ

Posted: 10 May 2013 06:10 AM PDT

"I'm offering myself to be given a role, any role that can help him (Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak) and I leave it to him to decide".

That was the response from Umno Youth leader Khairy Jamaluddin when asked on a suggestion by certain quarters for him to be included in the new cabinet to represent the youths.

The Rembau Member of Parliament, who was met after an interview on Bernama TV's talk show "Hello Malaysia" in KL last night, said his presence in the Cabinet would not only be to represent the youths, but to form a strong team capable of implementing transformation.

My comment:
Why not? Several Pemuda Umno candidates had fared well in the just concluded 13th general election, among them are Reezal Marican and Abdul Azeez Rahim.

We also have two 'young' leaders as chief minister and mentri besar in Idris Haron (Melaka) and Mukhriz Mahathir (Kedah).

I believe PM Najib's gamble to rejuvenate Umno has paid off, hence it is possible that these people be considered positions in the Cabinet. After all, KJ is Pemuda Umno chief who had no portfolio in the pervious term when his deputy and exco members held positions in a few ministries.

But which ministry is best for KJ?

My immediate answer - Home Ministry. Make him a Home Minister to replace his old Pemuda boss Hishammuddin Tun Hussein. What about Hisham? Leave it to his cousin brother to decide.

I am also of the opinion that Pemuda Umno chief should first take the Sports and Youth Ministry. Yucks! Time to change that!

In the just concluded 13th general election, Khairy retained the parliamentary seat with an increased majority of 18,357 votes, compared to only 5,746 in the 12th general election.

He garnered 43,053 votes to defeat Parti Keadilan Rakyat's (PKR) Radzali A. Ghani, who obtained 24,696 votes, and Independent candidate Abdul Aziz Hassan (325 votes).

Pas dan DAP Terus Sokong Abdul Khalid Sebagai Calon Menteri Besar

Posted: 10 May 2013 07:50 AM PDT

Keputusan Menteri Besar Selangor bakal diumumkan DYMM Sultan Selangor.

More house visits

Posted: 10 May 2013 01:20 AM PDT

When Fuzi's daughter called to seek my advice about whether she should accept the offer to a matriculation college, I knew I'd have to pay them a visit. The decision whether to accept or not wasn't the only problem they have. Financial problem would be the other.

I had advised the girl to accept the offer. The girl's interest is in accounting and the matriculation offer was for accounting line. By the time I went to visit the family on Wednesday morning, she had accepted the offer online and printed out all the necessary. But nothing further was done. Quite a number of things were needed but they had yet to do anything because they needed money. They needed:

1. RM480 for registration, to be banked in before she registers on 27th May.

2. More baju kurung as the girls are only allowed to wear baju kurung in class at the college. This family seldom goes out for any functions or whatever, and so she only has a few pairs.

3. Transportation for them to go to the matriculation college to send the girl, and for her mother to travel back home.

4. Pocket money for the girl for the first month at least, before she starts getting her allowance.

5. A notebook/netbook computer for the girl to use for her studies. A second-hand one would do.

Somebody had donated RM200 to me to be given to any of my PLHIV families, and so I gave that money first to the girl to enable her to start buying whatever necessary. The moment I got home, I updated this info on my FB wall, and within a few hours I managed to collect RM755 to help them out. At least her registration fee and pocket money are covered. For the record, our Children Education Fund & Education Sponsorship programme only covers schooling expenses, not further education. And so I had to seek help for this girl using my personal capacity, not through Buddies.

This morning I went to visit Lin. It's been quite a while since I last went to visit her at home. She was alone at home – none of her children were around. The eldest now works in KL, the second is in her final year overseas, the 3rd was at work, the 4th stays with his friends, the 5th now has a temporary job while waiting for the results of his application to IKM, and the 6th was in school, now in form 4.

With none of her children around, Lin could speak openly to me about her problems. No longer bothered by her ex-husband, Mr Darling, Lin's problem now is her youngest daughter, the 16 year old. The girl seems to get more and more stubborn each day, and Lin's main worry is that she likes to go out with boys. She's supposed to go to school by bus, but since the bus picks them up at the end of the road instead of right in front of the house, Lin usually doesn't go out to check. She took for granted her daughter would take the bus, otherwise how else was she supposed to get to school? But her brother once saw a boy picking her up on a motorbike to send her to school. There were a few other instances when the brother saw his younger sister in town on a motorbike with a boy. Every time Lin scolded her daughter, the girl always answered back.

I am however happy about the change in Lin's 5th child, the boy who sat for his SPM last year. He was really never into the academic line, and so all he was interested to do after his SPM was to find a job. But his interest had always been in welding, and so I suggested to him to take up welding as a proper course at any of vocational training colleges/institute. At first he was a bit reluctant, but after his older sisters joined in to coax him, he now seems very determined to take up a proper course in welding, applied for a certificate programme, and already thinking about continuing up to diploma level after he completes his certificate level course. Now, that's progress enough for me.

After Lin's house, I headed to Aini's house. Her eldest daughter so happens to be back home too. Long leave for the polytechnic where the girl is continuing her studies now. Aini had lost weight. She used to have about the same weight as mine, but this time she has gone down to only 45 kg. Even the doctor got worried about her weight loss.

The lady who used to pay Aini to take care of her son while she was at work, now has quit her job to be a stay-at-home mom, and so Aini no longer gets an income from taking care of the boy. She now is looking around for anything to do, just to enable her to get some extra income for her family in addition to the monthly welfare aid she gets. I asked her if she'd like to sew our Buddy Bears for a minimal payment. You see, the couple who had been making the bears for free all these years are getting older, and we haven't got any contingency plans in case the couple decides to stop making the bears. So during our last Board meeting, we agreed to try and get any of our clients to sew the bears for us, for a minimal amount. That way not only do we get another source to get the Buddy Bears  done, we also get to help our clients to earn some extra income for themselves.

Aini seemed very interested. She gets something to do, gets paid for it, and the best part is she doesn't have to leave home to do so.

Let's see how it goes.
